Or is our newest member sticking to that?

Just want to make sure before I start doing the math. Or others do.

Alrighty. I guess I'll get to work on that.

Though they rolled 6 times for attributes and dropped the lowest.

While we had 5 rolls.

Combining that with the retroactive math. Wouldn't it be simpler to have them follow those rules rather than having all the other players adjust our already worked out character sheets?

Well either way they are going to be stupid powerful starting out. XD
Be that as it may. Some bit of order does go a long way in keeping confusion at bay.

Or maybe. Instead of the retroactive math for old players, or new player doing the old way.

Maybe offer the old players something so they don't feel like they got the short end of the stick?

Maybe, I could offer some variant of standard array or maybe even point buy... though that last one may be a bit crazy in the short run.

You could do something like a d6 ASI to each stat. And maybe a reroll for one of the attributes.

That covers both the changes without having to make the players sort out through their ancient posts to find it.

Another option would be just give the old players a +3 across the board to their Attributes(average of a d6)

I don't know about that. especially with something special unique to this campaign that's going to really amp out stats in the long run anyway... Maybe stick with the current system since we only have one slot left one anyway

That would be wisest. My options was for if they were going to keep an enhanced start. But if they are starting on the same footing as us, it doesn't matter then lol.

Yeah, plus it feels a bit odd to re-work how stats work when we've only just started the game

Still, I think since we've come this far, there's not much sense in fixing how stats work

I'll change it if you want.
Probably, but its minor changes, and you still rolled very potently lol (and you still get a free reroll on one thing, if you haven't used it already.)

Also! If you would like help with your CS, let me know! I'd be happy to help you sort it out later :) with code, organizing, and recalculation things.

You aren't, you weren't even the last to teleport. Heck if anything you are keeping up, you are just taking your time to read and think things through (Sort of, that random warp was pretty funny how lucky you got). If you really feel bad, then maybe stick around more. if you have time to kill stay here, refresh often if need be. You are holding no one back, the party is just REALLY big.
What T said.
I often feel that way when things are highly active during my over night period, then I'm spamming the threads while I'm awake.
Glad to have you here in whatever capacity you can manage.

Hey, I don’t want to be “that guy“ but that “ATB“ mechanic is COMPLETELY broken in terms of what other casters have to do to recover spells in a D&D.

being able to recover you’re best spells simply because three (or later one) turns have gone by in battle vs everyone else having to rest (or expend sorcerer points which they don’t get back until they rest) is really unfair.

add to that a D10 hit die for a caster and a level 10 ability that puts an entire fighter/caster into the players command with no cost to use and as far as I saw no real weaknesses?

I’m all for power gaming but thats just not fair to the rest of the party.

I think we kind of need to be OP anyway but I guess we'll see what the DM says when he'd awake

Sure, but Im not worried about it being broken vs the campaign, Im worried about it being broken vs what everyone else can actually do mechanically.

Its no fun to be sitting there managing spell slots when someone else gets them back just because a turn went by. (And I’m saying that as a caster that leans primarily on cantrips and gets slots back for short tests)

at the very least the eidolon should level scale as a once/twice/(maybe up to thee times) per day feature and and be more balanced, with a nice capstone of switching to x times per short rest Or something.

and the ATB casting feature I’m sure could be balanced against normal slot management but I’d have to think on it for a bit.

I get where you're coming from. We'll see what ends up happening

And just so FactionParadox FactionParadox doesn’t think I’m hating: I love the idea of a FF summoner! Heck I’m literally listening to the “Distant Worlds” album RIGHT NOW. 😂 give me all the JRPG goodness.

did you pull that class from the web or build it yourself?

If you’re willing I think it would take a couple of tweaks to some things to get it mechanicalmlly balanced. I actually don’t mind it being a little OP, summoners are kind of supposed to be OP. 😆

I don't think you're hating, I welcome feedback. This is the first test of the subclass and I'm willing to alter aspects of it, but I wanna see if it works at all. The ATB Gauge was more or less a direct adaption from FF13, the other idea I had is being a Summoner like Yuna by adapting the Pathfinder subclass.

I think it will definitely work. We just need to polish some of the mechanics to be more in line with d&d mechanics and it’ll be great.

I‘ll work through it and get some ideas and send them too you.

I noticed the class has almost no melee for the character, so I’m assuming the intent is caster focused.
