THE CORRUPTED ASCENDANT - I


The Heroes stand in front of the four kings from Reindall, Terran, Etheros and Lucier. They are in a temple, where statues of Crea are located at the four corners of the room. Light shines upon the Heroes, then fades away. "You have been blessed by Crea." ,the king of Lucier said. Then, the king of Reindall pierced his sword to the ground, and spoke, "Heroes, Moya and his army, are on their way to destroy Lucier and all of Crea's temples. This will result to our connection with her to be broken, and we cannot let that happen. We cannot let Moya succeed on his twisted dream of becoming a god. We, the remaining citizens of the former kingdoms, will stall them with all we have. And you, Heroes, you are entrusted the task of finding any remaining Ascendant."


The ground shook, and a loud thud was heard. "They are close." ,the king of Reindall said, "Your search will start in the ruins of Fort Mirage, somewhere near the borders of Etheros. Good luck Heroes." The Heroes exit the temple and make their way towards the western gate of Lucier's walls.


At the gate, the guards prepared to open it at the Heroes signal. The area is filled with supplies and weaponry, all shown at the eyes of the Heroes. They must now suit up, pack some supplies and prepare for the search they have to do.

Starfire and a few others stood before the four kings and listen to thier request. As she stood there and listened. 'Remaining Ascendant huh?', she thought to her self. While lost in her thoughts the ground began to shake. Quickly it snapped her out of it. They send her and the others on their way to the western gate of Lucier's walls. When they got to the gate there were supplies and weaponary. "Guess it's time to pack up." The others still looking she went ahead and started grabbing some things and packing her bag.

Akira looks up at the four kings, he sighed with relief as he was finally out of that ghatly mountain. He was glad to be back on normal turf. "So.. We need to find any remaining ascendants, thats easier said than done" he turns as he admires the beauty of the temple and then, he made his way with the other heroes to Luciers Wall where he looked at all the equipmebt laid out. He grabbd things like food and drink and stocked up on some more knives. He already had his silver plated blue robed armour and his dragon katana. He looked at all the other heroes and sighed. "Im gonna keep my true identity a secret for the time being.. Who knows how they would react" he then turns to look around for his sister
 
Seth quietly nodded at the orders of the four kings. He looked like a real soldier from the South, loyal and strong.


As they left the temple and went to the western gate, he had noticed all that has been prepared for them, food, supplies, and even weapons. Here, he spent his time observing the other Heroes as they prepared for the journey, taking note of all their appearances, their movements and their behavior. Seth then took an apple from the food table, and took a bite of it.


He then moved forward, where all of the Heroes can see him. In a deep voice, he spoke, "Greetings, I am Seth. I have been given the map of our path to Fort Mirage. If you are ready to depart, just approach me." He then, proceeded to where the weapons were held, took out a dagger and started to grind it against his greatsword, sharpening its edges as the sound of the clashing steel were heard.

Akira was happy, he wa glad that he could go back to Etheros again, even if they were just going to the borders of it. He sharply turns and looks at the tall figure stood there. "Well, hello Seth, its a pleasure to make your acquaintance. My name is Akira Yamamoto" he smiled at Seth and then muttered to himself "Where the hell is Rose... Has she ran off again?" He sighs as he draws his katana blade, suppressing any magic residue and then starts to sharpen it, making the tip really sharp. He then sheaths it and looks back at Seth. "You have a map? So where exactly is Fort Mirage?"
 
Rose had half listened to the four kings at the very back of the room and when they dismissed them she left as fast as she could and grabbed some splash potions and then walked around till she found Akira calling for her she snuck behind him and tapped his right shoulder and ran around to the left her white dress flowing and her bandage tight on her hand and she giggled and then saw Seth and stood next to Akira and asked " Who is this? You know I don't like companions " and she turned to her brother with a frown
 
Cedric didn't like the whole heroism aspect and treating them like gods. He was one of the last few people to leave because the kings plan just did not seem right. In the storage shed he put on his black armor and put his two daggers on himself. He also wondered of the others who were around him. I should probably introduce myself he thought. He turned on the tip of his toe and made a weird face. "Hey I'm Cedric nice to meet you all."

Akira looked down to his sister as he sighs and then says "All these people have been chosen to be Heroes just like us, this is just the time where we stock up on supplies, introduce each other and come up with a plan" he smiles to Rose and then turns to The man suited in black armour as he nods "Hello Cedric. My name is Akira, and this here is Rose" he smiles and then doesnt say anything more. He doesnt plan on revealing that he is a Dragonkin, yet. He looked around and observed the other heroes, he didnt trust them at the moment
 
Rose huffed and folded her arms over her chest and said " Rose " she didn't look very intimidating in her white cloth dress and bandage covering her dragging mark made of scales which she had to hide because of her brother and under her dress was holsters of daggers and a satchel where she carried all her widdled carvings and splash potions her golden blonde hair on her shoulders and back and she watched everyone walk ,talk and prepare to go on a mission
 
She noticed few of them introducing themselves. 'Guess I should do the same.' she thought to herself. "I'm Starfire and let me warn you right now I can be a real bitch." She smirked if there was one thing she loved doing it was messing with people. But she wasn't lying she really could be one. she continued getting more supplies.
 
Cedric kept his smile on. Sheesh these people are so uncooperative they realize the kings expect us to work together to do this right? He looked at the sticks in the mud. They are all hiding something. He stayed quiet until Starfire said something. He laughed quite loudly. "Well at least you were honest"
 
" Join the club " Rose said sarcastically and leaned on a tree behind her and she lifted her right leg and pulled out one of her daggers and grabbed a stick then she began to widdle her bandage could clearly be seen
 
Akira looked a Starfire introducing herself as he laughs to himself "You can be as much of a bitch as you want. But please. Do it in a manor that doesnt piss me off" he sighed as he started to walk back to the supply table and gather more supplies. He felt really awkward around all these different types of people
 
Rose followed him and grabbed extra clothes and thing they would need before going back to the tree and widdiling she finished and it was a Dragon she smiled and it in her bag and looked to the people in front of her
 
Well at least Starfire's comment got everyone less tense. The people were odd but he could manage. He didn't know who the 'Leader' per say was but he wanted a plan of action to start preparing but he didn't so he just climbed up the shed to get on the roof just to see the kingdom. This is definitely different from the black market. He looked at his comrades all having a to him was a royalty or noble thing. He probably looked like a bum compared to everyone and his combat knowledge and experience was low he could still fight but he wanted to see everyone else in action.
 
Starfire looked up at Cedric after he made a comment and said, "Oh yeah I'm honest but people tend to think I'm a little to honest. " She said smiling she went to look at the daggers. She thought about getting some but her two swords were enough. Then Akira said something to her about not pissing him off. She turned and looked at him and noticed the armor he was wearing. "Can't promise that Mr. Knight. I tend to piss a lot of people off."

Cedric watched the small outbreak. Now this is what i call a bonding he thought. His black armor close to his body and allowed him to move virtually freely. He got up on the roof and mimed the kings as if he were one of them. He made weird and funny faces trying to mimic the kings faces as they spoke with an overly exaggerated face. Then he hopped down hoping everyone would be in better spirits walked behind Starfire and said "Thats a lie."

Akira turned back and looked at her, then turned away and thought nothing of it. He sighs and looks at her again "I can understand why, but oh well. We can at least try and get along." He sighs and draws his katana, placing his palm on it and strengthening the seal on it, it glowed a tinted blue which then disapeared when Akira seathed it. He then starts to look around for a training dummy but to no success
 
Rose watched and huffed before giggling at Cedric and shaking her head then she went over to Akira and said to him personally " Need a sparing partner "
 
Starfire bandage was feeling little loose so she tried to make tighter but then she heard a voice behind her. She didn't like people getting to close her why well most of it had to do with her past. "Would you mind backing up don't like people getting to close to me." she then turned around and said, "What exactly is the lie?" She crossed her a little amused.

Cedric found it a tad funny. "No one has ever called you overly honest." it was what his mind told him. He went and watched the others to see them spar. Cedric took out his two dagger and put them together to create a sword. "If anyone wants I am a decent target."
 
Akira looks at Rose sternly and shakes his head, "That would be too dangerous. Considering everything." He sighs "I can if your up for it, but that doesnt mean I want to" he looks at Rose and walks in the opposite direction. "Dont go into.. That.. Form. I dont know how everyone else will react.. Its too risky if the corrupted king ended up finding out" he said as drew his katana slowly and looked at Rose "Do you have your daggers?.. You can take the first move, just remember what I taught you back at home"
 
"..............." She watched him walk off. "What the hell does he know anyway." She said a little annoyed. She went off by herself away from the others and sat down. She needed new bandages. She took out a mirror from her bag and sat it on the ground. then she pulled out some fresh bandages. She took her old ones off and looked in the mirror. The darn thing was starting to hurt but it only a little sometimes it would hurt so bad that she felt like screaming. She really didn't want the others to see it. so quickly she started covering it up with new bandages.
 
Cedric put his sword over his shoulder and looked back at the girl putting fresh bandages. He looked relatively confused why she was doing it so fast. "Starfire if you rip it off and put it on quickly the injury will get irritated." The people before him were all very odd but he was so used to people in the black market. But they looked like criminals they all had something to hide and he wanted to figure it out.
 
She didn't look at him but she did answer him. "I don't think this could get any worse then already is." She finished and looked in the mirror to make sure the whole think was covered.
