What is this?

This is a resource thread made by yours truly to primarily serve as a place for people to put their unused power ideas that they have no desire to make use of in the future and put them up for sale so that those who are lacking in power idea's for their own characters or significant NPC's can claim them and make use of them in the story! However, this place doesn't just serve as a giveaway, for it can also fulfil the secondary function of acting as a place for people to gain inspiration for powers that they wish to make themselves or it can serve as a more niche extension of the character critique section with a focus on powers and powers only. Want to make a supportive power but unsure of how to flesh out the specifics or drawing a blank on how you want to limit a power? Well this is the perfect place for you!


How does it work?

As a result of not being a barbarian, there is indeed a specific format I ask that you follow if you are planning on putting up a power for giveaway. Main powers have a word count limit of 135, whilst secondary powers have 100 each. You do not need to meet this limit, but you shouldn't exceed it. Limitations of the power have a word limit of 100 words just like secondary power descriptions. The primary stats of the power should be stated at the start before the power itself is described and should represent the power of the abilities accurately. You should not have anymore than three primary stats. A template demonstrating how a power donation post should be formatted and made is down below.

To claim a power that has been put on sale, simply @ the person in this thread in a post and type "Claimed!". You are to do this if you fully taking a power or taking the idea of a power made by someone else and altering it in some form. People who have donated a power that has been claimed should react by liking the post made by the post claiming the power and editing the post containing the power they have donated to make it clear that it has been taken by someone and is no longer up for grabs.

If you are not posting a power for giveaway, then state explicitly what you want. Do you want help coming up with weaknesses, how to flesh something out? Say so at the start of the post very clearly. In addition to this I ask you to keep things on topic, as short as possible, formal and tidy. Read the Rules & Regulations section of this post below for further details.


Rules & Regulations

As a result of this being a formal resource thread for the RP, there are some regulations that are to be followed. Failure to adhere to these rules will result in me contacting Welian to deal with you herself.

• Follow RPN Rules: Given that this RP is being hosted on RPN in the first place, you should follow the rules that the site has outlined. Failure to do so will get you reported immediately.
• Follow AEGIS Rules: This thread, having been made in AEGIS, means that you should follow all of the rules Welian has outlined in the AEGIS Manual without failure. You can read the AEGIS Manual here.
• Follow the Format: Be sure to follow the formatting provided above in the "How does it work?" section if giving up a power for donation. If you're asking for advise, make it clear what you're asking advise for and etc. Read the "How does it work?" Section before you post something and follow what it says. It makes life easier for everyone.
• Cut to the Quick: Get straight to the point. Be concise. I don't think anyone enjoys reading five paragraphs someone has wrote about how a power should work and etc. Every word should count. If it doesn't, cut it out.
• Be Serious: This is a resource thread meant to help others and as a result of that, the tone should be kept serious. Non-serious, jokey powers are not acceptable here. Go post them in the OOC.
• Powers Only: This is a place to talk about powers and powers only. If you want to talk about stuff unrelated to powers, then take it to the OOC.

Spoiler: Thumbelina

Shrinks to an alternate form, gains the ability to shoot extremely sharp needles, able to pierce most armour. Needles grow as the user grows back to normal size.

Spoiler: Atlas

Hands become white and incorporeal, allowing them to be inserted into objects. Once inserted, the object is covered in a white grid pattern, making it many times stronger and near-massless to the user.

Spoiler: Proxy

Controls a sphere which floats in the air, launching javelins of metal at high velocity with great accuracy. Automatically aims at a target designated by the user, takes a moment to change targets.

Spoiler: Chloro

Gains extremely powerful regeneration from any radiation, skin grows hard, wood-like carapace from spending too long without as powerful radiation e.g. sunlight. Energy weaponry simply fuels them.

Spoiler: Zephyrus

Creates an area of razor-sharp winds of compressed air at high velocity. Starts in a small sphere, becoming gradually larger even after the user has left the radius, essentially following a log curve to reach a size and stay there for perhaps multiple days, unless the user cancels it.

Spoiler: Elemental Fury

Can pick from one of a list of elements (Fire, Earth, Water and Wind) to modify their power. The other aspect to their power is a random variation of application, changed at inconsistent intervals - they might pick fire, then switch between throwing fireballs, being surrounded by a firestorm, or even become a living flame. When nearby to supers with particularly elemental powers (e.g. a lightning super or terrakinetic) they can gain extra elements to make use of.

Spoiler: Donnie

Transforms into a 15 foot-tall, slender form, with long, powerful legs, sharp-clawed hands, a thin ribcage, and a demonic rabbit head. Can make extremely strong kicks and run upwards of 60mph, with increased hearing to boot.

Spoiler: Vitruvian

Controls a roughly humanoid projection. The super cannot directly control the projection, however, it will always default primarily to protecting them, and secondarily to attacking a foe in range.

Spoiler: Huayra

Is surrounded by an area of telekinetic storm that tears apart inorganic materials and flings them around. The storm can actually aid their movements by carefully and exactly pushing them along with torn up objects, and they can also exercise control to fling objects outside of their radius.

Spoiler: Topple

Can create minor ripples on solid inorganic surfaces, through which they can sense anything touching the surface, similar to echolocation. If they take a moment to charge the ripple, they can create a large wave, which can crush anything caught by it, or be ridden by the super or anyone they choose.

Spoiler: Cast

Fires out a stream of molten steel, which instantly dumps all of the heat to necessary to solidify itself into whatever it touches, excluding steel of the super's own creation.

Spoiler: Serpentine

Creates concrete of a constant radius on top of one singular piece that starts on a solid surface, leaving behind a permanent “snake” of concrete. The “head” of the snake can grow to slam into someone, with enough force to throw them through walls.

Spoiler: Ossis

Produces thick, scaled, bone-like covering with exceedingly sharp spikes. Scales are extremely adhesive and can either be speared in or stuck to people and objects. Maintains knowledge of all of the positions and orientations of each scale.

Spoiler: Humid

Switches into a watery form, gaining complete awareness of all moisture in a radius around them. The form is forcibly stopped if any section the size of a limb or larger is removed, forcing into an otherwise-unharmed human form. Touching water whilst in their water state causes them to disperse into it, acting almost like a potent acid - even rain can have this effect.

Spoiler: Nuckelavee

The inside of the super's legs distorts and grows enormously, producing a randomised fleshy, bloody mount. Anything from a sleek, fast beast to a rhinoceros-like monster. Can never actually cover the super themselves. Once dispelled or destroyed, the mount takes about a day to recharge.

Spoiler: Hawthorne

In a short radius around them, barbed wire-like thorny black vines are constantly thrashing and spinning around, and they can't ever turn the effect off. When it hits people, it usually just slashes open a small wound, but if they actually get within the radius, it'll start wrapping around them and trying to pry its way into their orifices and open further holes to use as well, creating temporary flesh puppets but sacrificing the thorny aura

Note: since I don't have the time to stat and limit every one of these powers, as well as giving them supporting powers, if you want to use one I can help you as much as you like with them.

• Gist of Power: With the individual's consent, the user is able to receive a rudamentary knowledge of the power.

Limitations

• Strictly Potential:
  The user and those who borrowed an individual's power only gain the potential to use the power, not the knowledge nor experience to use it.
• Direct Contact:
  In order to share an individual's power, the user needs to physically in contact with the user. The user, in return, can only share this power to individuals that he has physical contact with. Once they get out of touch, the shared power will be gone.
• One Power Only:
  A powered individual, once he enters the link of power and use the borrowed power, will not be able to use his own power. The effect will remain 15 minutes after he exits the link of power.
• Physical Limitation
  Power that alters the physical structure greatly such as the growth of a completely new organ or an increase in size of one's body is not capable to be shared or copied. Attempt to do this will tax the body of the user greatly.

1) I'd put the sharing as one of the sub-powers. It's distinct from the primary aspect of copying.

2) Spelling and grammar need a bit of a touch up here. Want me to highlight/fix the issues?

3) Personally, I'd use energy as the primary stat. It's reasonably potent, so maybe around a 7? Honestly, I'm not sure on the exact number.

4) Do they have any protection against powers that would be harmful to the user without power-aided protection? E.g. a pyrokinetic would normally be protected against their own flames, but does this super inherit that protection?

I'll fix the sub-power and Stats. She should be around C Rank, then? I'm thinking of letting the user copy and share sub-powers as well, but I don't know if it's going to be too powerful.

Regarding grammar, I'm thinking of rephrasing everything altogether. Thanks for the offer!
