Also since I intend for something more of a squad based air combat kinda rp, your chars would have to defect later on, would you be okay with that?

hmmm you see, thing is in Ace Combat the enemy aces usually doesn’t survive one episode, unless they’re the final boss squadron, and I kinda wanna keep control of that from players
