Please find the character sheet template below. You can use any code that you like, and if you need any help filling in the sheet send me a message. If you have a question about the Academy or any other aspect of the story that I think other people might find useful, I will answer your question in the OCC.
There is room to be flexible and creative - take advantage of that. I would love to see your take on magic.

Sorcerous Information:
[You can create your own secondary-level school of sorcery and 3 examination subjects. At least one subject must reflect the character's sorcerous speciality. If two players want to establish a pre-Academy background, attending the same school would be a good place to start. Please do not establish relationships until your character has been accepted.]
Sorcerous Specialities:
[Before choosing your speciality, could each player please contact me with their. I will try my best to say yes to as many as possible, but some will be rejected.]
Favourite Spell:

[Please see the Lore for the seven colleges.]
Extracurricular Academy Activities:
[Here, you can be creative. Is your character artistic? Why not join the Paintbox? Are they sporty? Well, how about dragon racing? I don't mind people having fun here, but please don't create a million different clubs and societies - especially since they won't feature heavily in the RP. If you like the sound of one someone else has created, use it in your own CS.]
Personal History:
[Again, if you require any help with world building, please don't hesitate to contact me. Your character may be a Citadel sorcerer or a mortal sorcerer. Mortal sorcerers are rarer, and if too may people chose the mortal path I will randomly assign mortality to a set number of players. The remaining mortal sorcerers will need to switch to the Citadel I understand that this may be the most difficult part of the CS but I am here to help as much as I can.]

Distinguishing Features:
Parents / Guardians:
Achilles Arcleaves - Father.
An relatively well-known author, who has written several tomes on the history of sorcery and of the Circus. The relationship between Orpheus and his father is extremely close.
Personal Relations:
Hitch Savage [X] - Ex-boyfriend
Martial Magician of Malum House.
Personality:
Orpheus Arcleves wholeheartedly embodies wisdom and wit. An ingenious sorcerer, capable of rising to meet the demands of any challenging academic situation, he is one of the top scholars at Academy of Lyrithna. Intensely curious, Orpheus has a perspicacious character and is always looking for new projects to work on and new things to learn. Since arriving at the Academy, Orpheus, with a little help from his professors, has created two new spells, which have been submitted to the Circus for ratification.
He is extremely organised, and tries his utmost to maintain all his checks and balances in agreement. Orpheus triages his time diligently: he usually plans his mornings, his afternoons, and his evenings well in advance, and can be trusted to honour his commitments. However, Orpheus is also high-spirited - when he has free-time, he enjoys the thrill of spontaneity. Spending an evening with friends, chatting by the fire, is one of Orpheus' favourite things to do.
Happy-go-lucky and good-humoured, Orpheus is seldom downcast or downhearted. He is a cheerful soul, always laid-back and giving off a relaxed vibe. He considers people, and happiness, his highest priority. He does his best to get along with everyone, and so when he meets someone who is less than pleasant, it’s a little frustrating for him. Still, he's very good at avoiding conflict and keeping his head in a bad situation; he knows that outside of a war of words, his combative skills are abysmal.
As a warm and friendly prefect of Lillium House, he invests a lot of energy into helping others. He is sympathetic and supportive, and the younger students in his House, or sometimes other Houses, regard him as a paternal figure. He has a keen understanding of what is going on inside his own head, and his introspection and intuition provides him with incredible insight into the feelings of others. When people need someone to talk to, or a shoulder to cry upon, Orpheus is often the first choice; his smile and his laughter are infectious, and it’s difficult not to feel happy around him. He always looks for the best from those around him, believing firmly that every cloud has a silver, or even golden, lining. As a result, his blind trust can be easily abused, and he has been scarred bestowing too much faith and loyalty. His studious personality has also been the reason for a certain degree of harassment.
Strengths and Virtues:
Kind || Supportive || Understanding || Generous || Unbiased.
Weaknesses and Vices:
Too much faith in people || Manipulatable || Skilled at hiding pain.
Fear:
His greatest fear is being hurt once again, when -- if ever -- he falls in love with someone new.
Desire:
Orpheus' desire is to master Epistolary Magic and to return to the Academy as Professor.
Secret:
Orpheus used to date a fellow student of the Academy during his first year; the relationship ended very poorly, which has been one of the most upsetting aspects of Orpheus’ life.
Likes:
Reading || Learning || Academics || Tutoring || Chess || Chocolate || Fresh Strawberries.
Dislikes:
Martial Magic ||Divination || Stubbornness || Liars || Manipulators.
Sorcerous Information:
Orpheus attended the Fortuitous School of Sorcery, a small magical institute on the Fort Islands. He attended Fortuitous for the sole reason that his father relocated to the Islands in order to carry out research for one of his publications. It was at Fortuitous that Orpheus discovered the Epistolary Magic, an extremely rare branch of sorcery, and for his Sorcerette, he studied Sorcerolinguistics and Epistolary Magic.
Sorcerous Specialities:
Conjuration - Epistolary Magic.
An extract from ‘On the Origin of Epistolary Magic’ (Diocles Manswith, 1876):
"With regards to the written word, it is a simple truth that all the stories and the spells in the world consist essentially of twenty-six letters. The letters are always the same, only the arrangement varies. From letters words are formed, from words sentences, from sentences chapters, and from chapters stories. Epistolary Magic harnesses the power trapped within those twenty-six letters. It is an incredibly fascinating field of study, which I have only ever seen practiced on the far-flung highlands of the Fort Islands."
Favourite Spell:
"Lexiconicy"
[An extraordinarily difficult piece of sorcery. Lexiconicy allows the sorcerer to transform written words into actual objects. Dangerous and requiring complete focus, this magic is generally very limited beyond the simplistic.]
Academy College:
Lillium House.
"Eternally vigilant."
Extracurricular Academy Activities:
Prefect for Lillium House
Personal History:
Achilles Arcleves spent most of his wild youth sailing with his own mother, fishing to support his lifestyle and spending his free-time drinking and flirting. It was uncommon to see him without a lover on his arm, but he never grew too attached to any of them. One early morning, he was prepping his boat for a day at sea when he was alerted to a tiny din, and he uncovered an infant wrapped in a ultramarine-coloured blanket. All that accompanied the child was a hasty, tear-stained note reading: “His name is Orpheus Telemachus Arcleves. He's yours - I cannot take care of him.”
Achilles took one look at the newborn's eyes and knew in his heart that it was true.
Orpheus learned to walk and talk at his father's family home, surrounded by his extensive family of grandparents, godparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. His family may have frowned upon Achilles' hedonism. but they never turned a blind eye to his son - in fact, he had quite the peaceful and pleasant upbringing. He was a remarkably fast learner, and early on showed an innate affinity for recollection and reminiscence; he began to display his magical powers at an extraordinarily young age, and he excelled at school. His aptitude for magic started with small exhibitions; he would turn the pages of his books, steal cookies from the topmost shelf, and hurl a ball for Argus, the family griffin.
|| D'aran Diran Oleander. ||
"Everyone has a poison."
Nickname:
He is known as Ollie; rarely, D'aran; scarcely ever, as a Dragomir.
Age:
24.
Birthday:
13th January.
Gender:
Male.
Sexuality:
Homosexual.
Nationality:
Citadelian.
Languages:
English (Proficient) || Latin (Intermediate) || Greek (Intermediate).
Hair Colour:
Brown.
Eye Colour:
Emerald Green.
Physicality:
Athletic.
Distinguishing Features:
Several duelling scars decorate the fibrous skin of his arms and shoulders, and a pitted mark can be found on his wrist from where a dragon hatchling accidentally bit him.
Personal Relations:
Drazik Dragomir - Father
A forbidding Judicator of the Grandstand, Drazik Dragomir rose to power following a number of felicitous resignations. Judicator Dragomir's relationship with his children, particularly D'aran, has been described as 'cold' and 'distant' by the Citadelian Gazette, but no sorcerer can deny his efficacious influence on the the legislature of the Circus.
Ameliana Dragomir (née Lotuswood) - Mother
Ameliana Dragomir is compassionate and protective sorceress who, unlike her husband, separated herself from the scrutiny of the world. Content with the simple things in life, the greatest source of pride for Ameliana is her three sons.
D'roxel Dragomir - Brother
A sorcerer of the Stage, D'roxel is a member of the Custodians - the police service of the Citadel.
D'izgar Odenkirk - Brother
The youngest member of the Dragomir family, studying at the School of Arcanis in the Citadel.
Personality:
For the most part, D'aran Dragomir is not the easiest person to get along with. He is an austere sorcerer, with a rigid grasp on his emotions and his rationality. His insatiable appetite for success has strained his social capabilities, and he prefers to spend time improving rather than engage in pitiful conversation about unimportant or uncontroversial matters. He often leaves without warning, and very few people are afforded 'common decency'; he simply doesn't know how to behave when he is surrounded by others. Loudness and noisiness grate with him -- except when he is racing -- and, although he enjoys a glass of silver-scotch in the evening, he usually savours it in isolation - if other scholars are loitering around, he will make himself scare, taking his whiskey with him.
Beneath the stricture of his countenance, D'aran can be a rather compassionate, but very few people have peeled through enough layers to notice. Since arriving at the Academy, he has made a few close friends and allies, and his propensity to solitude has gradually faded, replaced by an independent personality just beginning to grow and develop. Although, D'aran is known to lash out with the ferocity of a dragon when aggravated - most people typically give him a wide berth, unless absolutely necessary.
Strengths and Virtues:
Courageous || Loyal || Supportive || Judicious.
Weaknesses and Vices:
Strict || Austere || Competitive || Grudge-bearing.
Fear:
D'aran fears failure more than anything else. His future - the meticulous route he has planned for himself - is dependent on a multitude of successes and progressions.
Desire:
D'aran hopes to join the Custodians alongside his brother. The Custodial Examinations are considered to be the hardest viva voce assessment in the Citadel, with the questions and methods a closely guarded secret. All participants are sworn - and mortally cursed - to secrecy.
Secret:
Hidden in his bedroom, D'aran has a chest sealed with a powerful blood-lock. Inside is an ancient grimoire he stole from his father before attending Lyrithna. He was challenged by D'roxel, his eldest brother, to steal the book. Although the grimoire itself is available in the library, D'aran's version is filled with Circus secrets written in a code he has yet to crack.
Likes:
Dragons || Racing || Petrichor || Black tea || Fizzy sweets || Warm fires.
Dislikes:
Rudeness and Loudness || Smalltalk || Divination || Arithmancy || Herbalogy || Seafood || Pollen.
Sorcerous Information:
D'aran attended the School of Arcanis, one of the most respectable schools of sorcery in the Citadel. He was a member of the prefectorial body, known as the ‘The Arcanis Society’, and acted as a praepostor. Members were considered the elite of the elite, entitled to wear sorcerous robes of any colour rather than the traditional black and favoured by the professors.
For his Sorcerette, he studied Martial Magic, Conjuration, and Transformation. He received top honours in his examinations, with special commendations for his mastery of meteorological magic.
Sorcerous Specialities:
WIP
Favourite Spell:

Academy College:
Alnus House.
"Protect and preserve."
Extracurricular Academy Activities:
The Martial Magics Association - Dedicated to improving their techniques and martial aptitude, the Martial Magics Association is a collection of students who meet in order to spar and exchange tips and advice. While it is technically open to all who wish, it is primarily occupied by those focusing on Martial Magic. Due to the nature of it, it is closely monitored by an active teacher of Martial Magic at all times. Exhibitions may be scheduled through the campus to provide a demonstration to new students, although these are rare due to the inherent risks involved.
The Alnus Racers.
The Alnus Racers are a dragon-racing team at the Academy. Established in 1834, the Racers have a checkered history: many sorcerers have died during the weekly training sessions; many more have perished, often at the hands of their own dragons, during the quarterly Inter-House Tournaments.
