Fantasy .:Academy for the Curiously Superhuman:.(ALWAYS ACCEPTING)

Night floated out of the class, analysing what he had been told. It fit with his experience, but he often utilized peoples fear sooner. Many feared what they did for the issue that they had a good reason. This lead to some fears that tipped the balance of power completely. He went down the hall, bored and wandering.

Castiel yawned and stretched in his seat. "Slow day." He muttered and stood up. A dartboard appeared on the wall and three darts appeared in his hand. "Slow year, I'm guessing." He said before throwing the first dart and hitting the middle.

Silvery irises flickered as she took in the scene before her, the unknown structure that appeared mysteriously out of the mist. The grey cat ceased the beats of her slender wings, placing her small paws on the stone underneath her. Fate had not the slightest clue of where she might be and her senses remained alert as she padded around the premises. It seemed to be a building of some sort - one that resembled the human academies she had attended while she was under the care of her guardians. Her nose neared the gate of the structure, and she cautiously measured the length of the spaces between each bar.

The place isn't very well guarded. She noted. But there are creatures inside.

After a split second of inner conflict, Fate decided that she had little to lose and would be able to escape quite easily if she were captured, and wriggled in between the bars, keeping care that her feathers were tucked in.

Night detected a unusual creature. Floating with a higher speed then normal he got close to the gate. Spotting a winged cat he look at it, puzzled. He could sense an immense Heavenly power on it. Approaching he spoke into the creature mind, eliminating ease droppers. What are you, little one? His form was hidden entirely and his mental voice was clear and strong. He sounded like a young man.

He had been monitoring the energy signs of creatures in the school. He had not quite found everyone but he had managed to keep track of the numbers of people around, and their general locations. Thus, he had noticed this new intrusion.

Fate blinked, her body still. She had expected to run into something, but not so soon. The cat eyed the area were she suspected the being's current position was.

What are you? She responded, her voice unwavering and cool. There was no emotion to be found in her vocals as she pronounced the words, the only thing that could really be detected was the subtle calmness of her being. The feline sat herself on the ground, feeling no danger from the being that spoke to her.

Layla yawned, slowly repositioning herself in her seated position in the windowsill. With her keen eyesight, she was easily able to catch sight of a winged intruder. Female. Raising her brow at such a sight, Layla simply shook her head. Who could possibly want to break into a school? Must be a minor. Layla didn't bother to even budge, for she also caught sight of a floating male approaching the creature himself. See? Problem solved without herself even having to lift a finger. Regardless, pushing the matter aside, she hadn't seen any of the girl's lately, which seemed odd to her. "Alone?" Layla spoke in a tone barely audible, brushing a loose curl behind her ear while her oddly formed tail hung from the back of her form.

I am a Nightmare. He thought. I am a ideal of terror made real. He had drifted close and was now floating before the strange winged cat. His find seemed to radiate a Holy energy. She must be some type of Angelic. He sat down in the air, his legs crossed. His tail swung out and floated close to the ground, reveling what texture his scales/skin looked like.

Indeed, he was a nightmare, she noted, her tail flicking back and forth. A nightmare indeed, she began. But certainly not one to me.

Fate felt as if her surroundings posed little to no danger to her, and arose from her seated position. There was nothing very significant about the being - she had seen many scaled creatures before (aside from serpents, of course) - and decided to partially reveal her true form to him. The side of her face was temporarily exposed, disappearing as quickly as it came.

Well, i adapt to whatever people fear. He thought. He was staring at the cat when she slightly shifted. He then knew that she was some type of Angelic. You are Angelic, i would assume. He guessed that she was in her alternate form. She clearly did not seem to like many people. Look into my eyes, learn your truest fears.

I have already figured that out. After all, it would be inconvenient to only be able to frighten a singular being. She paused. I am indeed an Angelic. It is not difficult to tell.

She did not look into his eyes. Her fears were already planted deep inside her mind and she knew what they were. Why should I? I do not wish to learn what I already know.

Oh, but it is the truest symmetry to learn what an Angel fears. What does perfection have to fear in the world they guard and watch over. Daemons like myself? The loss of their status? The Fall? Maybe that they may one day fall in love. Maybe that they will expose themselves or be vulnerable? The Joy of a nightmare is that i learn. I may be made in Hell but i am true neutral. Fear cares not who you are. He thought at her. There was an edge of sadness to the last sentence that seemed unusual coming from a Nightmare.

She looked at him with a slight interest in her eyes. Perhaps those who wish the learn the fears of the Angels know not what they wish for. Angels are not perfection - they are far from it. And your joy - the joy you take from the nightmares a soul bears is an interesting thing. Fate looked to the side. You wish to know my fears, and yet I cannot give that knowledge to you. I have just met you - why would I hand over the turmoil that lies inside of me?

Ahh, but who better too trust? I know fears power better then any. And i am trustworth, for i am nuetral. Who better? He thought.

You make good arguments, but I am afraid that I am still reluctant to show you my fears. She took a breath. Are you willing to explain to me where I am?

Well, you stand in a school for unique or powerful humanoids that do not fit in. We have a Hell Prince, A awakened Demi-God, a Daemon Hunter, and some Fallen Angels. I myself am the only Nightmare to be here. Welcome to The Academy. I can try to find you a room if you would stay. he thought. And i do know what i ask when i look for an Angels fears. Many think Nightmares are fearless, but lo we are not. Few really think of that at all.

( EDIT )

Ah, so that is what this is. An interesting mix of beings this place has. She looked at the ground, pondering. Would it be wise to stay? I have been looking for a temporary place to reside. Perhaps this is the place. Yes, a room here would be nice. But she would not let her guard down - that she would not do.

I am sure
you know. And it is true that Nightmares are not fearless. It takes one that has fears and has done more with them than anyone else to truly understand fear.

It will be done. I am Night Talon, a leader of Nightmare soldiers. I was a Sith'Ari that was slain by fear itself. I was reforged to give the gift of what killed me to others. What, tell me, Is your name? He thought at her.

Greetings, Night Talon, leader of the Nightmare soldiers. I am Kalyca Favian, Celest Angel from the higher Heavens, known as Loraine. Thank you for your service. No real appreciation was put in those words - things like respect and appreciation were not to be wasted on such unimportant matters.

What is a Celest Angel doing here? I thought your world was being devastated by the Lower Tiers of Tiamats Hell. The Dragons are one of the few creatures i will not tangle with. He wondered. He had known that Tiamat had decided to assault one of the High Heavens. Tiamat was the 5 headed Dragon Queen and led the Daemonic Dragons.

You are not incorrect. Down here, I can avoid the havoc those vile beings are wreaking upon my homeland. I know not what has happened after my departure, only that I currently was the only one who left. And you are wise to not tangle with them, as they are fearsome indeed. But who am I to describe fear to a Nightmare? She let herself merge into her Angelic form, knowing that it would be easier to navigate as a humanoid being. Think twice before branding me a coward.

You are no coward, for the one Dragon i have slain was a Drake, and it was as part of a Darkest Fear formation. Even with 13 of the most powerful Nightmares it was a challenge. Tell me, What do you know of our Species? As a whole or specific abilities? He thought back

If only others could understand. But of course beings like those are not common in many lives. I do not know much about your species, only nursery rhymes about the fear that you inspire in those who are 'bad' and that your knowledge of fear itself is greater than the fiery pits of Hell.
