??th Day
Time: Deadly Night

BGM: Grandma (Destruction) [NieR: Automata]

This is no longer my home... this is now a hell I've been put into... Everything has changed just in some days. I don't even know what's what, who's friend or who's foe.

"I found a Heretic. I will purify him!"
"No way... I won't fall here! Not now!"

Gods and demons... I don't know what they're up to, but our lives are nothing but playthings to them. We've been thrown into some stupid game they did to decide who's best. And here I thought that rock-paper-scissors was a stupid thing...

"There's a Heretic and a Illuminado here! Get those pricks!"
"Damn... alone I won't be able to... unless I...!"

It all began days ago...

1st Day
Time: Daytime

BGM: Via ad scholam [Puella Magi Madoka Magica Portable]

It was a normal day like any other. The sun was shining brightly through the window and directly into his sleeping face. Feeling the warmth, he woke up with a long yawning and went to his closet. "Alright... my shirt... my jeans... my jacket... black sneakers... gloves... there." He spoke, picking his clothes. Despite they weren't all in good conditions, he loved to use those simple clothes, instead of using some chic clothing. The mirror showed his messy dichromatic hair as he began tidying himself up. After putting the clothes, he gave himself two slaps in the cheeks and left the room.

"Good morning, Big Bro!" a tiny voice spoke. It was his sister, the little and cute Claire. She gave him a hug, but her reach was limited to his hips. He gave her a little pat, crouched and kissed her forehead. "Good morning, sis. Slept well?" He asked her. "Yup! Breakfast's ready!" She spoke, happy. "Claire, haven't I already told you to not use the kitchen alone? Did you do everything carefully?" He asked, worried. "I diiiiiid! I didn't use the pointy knives and I used the microwave!" Claire spoke, bothered. Lucent gave her a little laugh, and picked a cup of coffee while she drank a chocolate-flavored milk.

Looking at the hour, he picked up a piece of bread and began leaving. "Alright, I'll eat on the way. Take care and don't skip on school!" He said. "Alright! Big Bro, I love you." She spoke, waving. He waved back at her at left.

This is where begins the tale of people who were chosen to create a new future to humanity... or so, they will believe.

Dawn of the 1st Day

"Lives will be changed."

A Voice rang through Josef's head as walks through the darkness, looking around in fear. It felt like one of those horror stories, and he's not a big fan of those. Nevertheless, he gulped

"A Month will fulfill or destroy."

What is the voice talking about? A time limit...A time frame? For what? At this point, Jose's already confused stopping in his path to see several silhouettes of several people surrounding him; glowing with some sort of purple and yellow Aura, yet red eyes glaring at his very soul. Josef let out a gulp as he turned around to run, only to find him surrounded by the same group of people. They soon closed in on him, their arms raised as their palms soon emitted bright lights.

"IWhat will be the outcome? Uhuhuhu, I'm sooo curious~!"

The voice chuckled as the light grew brighter, and soon, clashing lights of yellow and purple filled his vision; twirling and mixing like two creams being mixed together in a bowl.

"Now then...Let the games begin!"

The 1st Day, Early Morning

"Arrgh!" Josef groaned as he arose from his bed, feeling a sharp pain on his chest as he grabbed it in pain. He was sweating bullets all over his body, considering he was wearing nothing but a tanktop and a short. He took a moment to catch his breath, contemplating on the reoccurring dream that has been on his mind for nearly a week. Yet this time, it's slightly different; before, it merely welcomed him to this game, but now...Apparently, something had begun...Just what's up with this movie-like sage in his dreams?

"Josef, are you okay?" Josef's mother knocked on his door, causing him to derail his train of thoughts.

"Y-yeah, I'm fine, ma'!" Josef's reply as he got out of bed, taking a bath. He'd then put on his usual outfit; a green hoodie under his highschool's black suit uniform. His hair was still messy due to the bath, but he didn't pay attention to it. He walked out of his room, looking at the clock; He still have a few minutes left before he had to make a run for it.

Ost: Want to be close ~ SMT: Persona 3

"Bye Ma'! I'll see you later!" Josef waved a goodbye to his mother as he headed off to his school, knowing that it'll probably just be another normal day for him; a pathetic weakling of a highschool student...

First Day: Dawn

"Uh god headache." Jerid said as he rose from his bed messaging his forehead with his right hand. "Hu what a weird dream, what was it about again?" as he tried to remember the headache was distracting. As he sat there on his bed for 5 minutes he glanced up at the clock on the wall and saw it was 4:30 "crap I need to get ready." he said in a slightly annoyed voice. He jumped out of bed grabbing deodorant, and his suit and tie putting them on and ran to the bathroom. As he put on his suit and tie and combed his hair he kept trying to remember the dream.

All he could remember was being annoyed about something and the word game, just then he finished combing he ran to grab his phone then to the kitchen. He grabbed three slices of bread and poured a cup of orange juice and drank it down. Jerid then ran to the door put on his shoes grabbed his suitcase and keys and ran out the door heading towards the stairway. As he ran towards the stairway of his three story apartment building he crumbled up the bread slices into balls and tossed them into his mouth.

He made his down the stairs to the ground floor when one of his neighbors stopped him
"Mr. Smith are you ok you were making quite the ruckus last night?" said this small old lady with a cane and sun hat. "Sorry if kept you up last night MS. Greder but I'm a little late to get to work." he said as he ran out the front door to his car.

(I assume we can just post our start position like this... :/)

Day #1, Dawn

Allison stared at the ceiling, her thoughts wandered but never stood too long on one thing. Sleep had eluded her and she knew that once she had woken up, drifting back would not be a possibility. She lived alone in a small studio apartment, one which was sponsored by her "day job" as a hit man. Just kidding, she worked as a bodyguard for someone who found themselves quick to land into trouble. That, and that they were rich. Who, you ask? Well you'll probably find out eventually. Anyways...

She lived alone in a small studio apartment which rarely had any visitors- she liked it that way. She rarely maintained any contact with her parents or relatives. Her only occasional companion was a stray cat who would drop in as he pleased. She didn't really like his company, but she tolerated it from time to time.

An alarm went off nearby, signalling that it was time for her to be productive again. "I'm up, I'm up." She muttered as she shut it off and got up to get ready for her day.

~~~
She locked the door behind her and jogged down the flight of stairs with a slice of bread between her teeth. She had time to kill before she needed to go to work, so Allison decided to work out for a bit in the alleyways. Who in their right mind would work out in alleyways? There could be thugs and thieves there, you must be wondering. You see, thugs and thieves provided a perfect workout for the hot-headed chic. Sure, she couldn't use any weapons, but that wouldn't matter. Her fists would do plenty of talking.
Allison smirked at the thought of catching some lovely prey to beat up and headed off into the streets, very much looking forward to her workout regime.
The day seemed really bright. The news had said that there wouldn't be any sort of clouds, fog or rain, so the sun had its brilliant moment. This seems like the beginning of a bright day. Time to rush out to the streets and rush to school! He thought. Lucent picked up his inline skates from his bag. Even though today everyone loved to do skateboarding and cycling, he had preference to this.
BGM: Windy Hill (Sonic Lost World)
"Alright then... let's go!" He spoke while running as fast as he could. Soon, he already built a nice speed that could let him feel the breeze. His neighborhood wasn't filled with too many streets, so people mostly walked around. Speaking about this topic, Sereine is not filled with cars. There were those with preference on walking, taking the buses or trains... he was one who liked to skate around and zoom through town. Of course, that never meant that he was skating through the streets without looking. Most of the times, he was on the sidewalk. He was pretty used to it, so evading incoming people was easy. Of course, that never meant obstacles wouldn't appear.
"Ah! Kitty, come back!" A little girl from the other side spoke. When he looked, the cat stopped right in his direction to look back. In a fast moment, he crouched and grabbed the cat, With a spin, he stopped on his feet. "Well, aren't you a runaway? This is the third time you try to do this." He spoke while petting the cat, who began to purr happy. Lucent crossed the street carefully and gave the cat back to the little girl. "T-Thank you, Mr. Lucent! You saved Kitty!" She thanked him. "It was nothing, but take care of him well. Cats don't actually have seven lives." He said, winking at her. After that, he went ahead once again towards the streets.
~Paine Lynch~
Paine kept silent as she heard the hot water hit the floor, standing in the shower as words repeated endlessly in her mind. 'Welcome to the game.' She furrowed her eyebrows a bit trying to understand what it meant as she let the warm waters soothe her pale figure. She wasn't much of a sunny person, so she wasn't expecting to tan anytime soon-- not that she could anyway. She sighed quietly to herself before shaking her head and turning off the water. She had been done with her shower, but to think she had been wasting her time and thoughts trying to figure out a dream was just flat out silly. As much as she hated it, she might've finally lost it. She quickly dried herself off before slipping on her uniform and checking her phone. Shit.
She was late, and the boss wouldn't be so thrilled to hear that. She was almost certain that her employer hates her, but hey, who didn't hate the girl? It seemed that from day one she was destined for the role, so she might as well suck it up and play her part. She raced out of her apartment, locking the door behind her before going down the stairs in a hurry. Thankfully, the restaurant/cafe, whichever you'd like to call it, wasn't too far from her apartment building. It was a short walk actually, so it did her good when it came to exercise. Plus the fact that she didn't own a car would've made things troublesome for her if the place was too far away. Lucky for her then. In one hand she carried a pait of simple black high heels and in the other she had her phone as she ran. Currently, she was wearing some old sneakers to run in since there was no fucking way she could get away with running in high heels without hurting herself. Not all of us can run in high heels like that one actress in Jurassic World.
Eventually she made it to the back of the cafe, slipping inside the entryway for employees only to greet a not-so-happy boss. "You're late, again. Look, I know things have always been hard for you, but you need to get your shit together; otherwise, I won't hesitate to fire you, okay? Great talk." Before Paine could reply, her boss was already on her way back to her office. Paine didn't even know what to say even if she had gotten a chance to speak, but she was grateful that the woman wouldn't press on about why she was late. She really wasn't a morning person-- she was more of a late night kind of person, but who the hell cares? She wasn't good for much other than shifty ass jobs like this. She sighed wearily as she went to the back, taking a seat as she switched shoes before sticking her old sneakers in her designated locker. She then went back out to the front, waiting to take orders from any fresh customers. "With my luck, this'll be one hell of a long day." She muttered under her breath, prepped with her small notepad and pen.
Andddd it begins. She strolled over to a table, trying to appear as friendly and as welcoming as possible. Though she doubted it came off as that way. She honestly really did look like a dead person at times because of her pale skin and usual dark eyes. It was just who she was though, so it wasn't like she could change who she was. Thankfully, the woman gave her no trouble. All she had wanted was an unsweet iced tee. She turned on her heel before heading back to the kitchen, grabbing a cup before filling it halfway with ice. She then poured unsweet tea inside, only to see her manager poke her head outside of her office, looking directly at her. "Don't forget to at least look a little happy. You could at least put some effort into your job." She then shut the door, once again cutting Paine off as she narrowed her eyes somewhat. Was that really necessary? She almost felt bitter about the subject.
She began heading back to the customer, thinking over how shitty the job was. As much as she enjoyed the paycheck she got, it still sucked to work with a boss who was always hounding at her, criticizing her for practically everything. Then again, any job she had ever acquired had been a hassle. If only she had stayed in school and finished everything up in high school, surely she could've got a better job than this. She should just get a job at the morgue-- at least then nobody would be able to question her for her unusual pale skin since she would be working in a basement all day. She sighed, gripping the cup a little tighter as she approached the table, setting it down. "Enjoy-"
"How can I possibly enjoy this? I know I said I wanted iced tea, not coffee." Paine quirked an eyebrow before looking down at cup and picking it up, "What are you... oh...." She finished, eyes widening at the coffee, noting how the ice she had put in was nearly done melting. "Do I need to speak to your manager?" Paine shook her head dismissively, apologizing for her...mistake. She then headed back into the kitchen, lightly tapping the cups edge in confusion. For some reason, her dream came back to mind before she shook her head, refusing to believe that nonsense. She put the cup in the sink before making another iced tea. This time, Paine watched it intently, making sure it didn't happen again before serving it to the customer. "Apologies, again..." she murmured before turning away, utterly confused.
That dream was bothering way too much. She honestly just needed some rest. She was probably sick, but.. her boss was already upset enough with her. Maybe her coworker would be willing to cover in for her. After pleading and reasoning with him, he managed to agree to her requests, and thus, she was strolling out of the cafe. Rest is what she probably needed, right?
The 1st Day
Josef quietly walked to his school, hus hands in his pockets as he hummed the tune of his favorite song. During his walk to school, he witnessed how Lucent, one of his school mates, performed another daring feat to save a Cat...Josef merely sighed and carried on his way.
He knew for a fact that Lucent is one of the 'Cool Kids', so he doubts that there would be a time that he will talk to him.
Nevertheless, Josef's path to school remained uneventful, with a few of his classmates asking for their favors here and there, he would always seem to benefit out of it. Well, except for the bad sounding ones, of course; he wouldn't try to break the law, after all...
As Jerid got in his car drove to work he remembered a scene from his dream...
"Which do you choose?" "do I !123$@#^^%$@!24562(787&*." (the lot of symbols is fogged memory not cursing) "You have no choice in the matter, you have to choose..." "*sigh*well I don't really agree with either but I'll choose..."
As his thoughts trailed on they were suddenly stopped by a splitting headache "ah god why..." he said in an irritated voice. He messaged his forehead for a little bit as he drove. Soon the headache subsided and he noticed he crushed part of the steering wheel with his hand, shocked he stopped paying attention to the road for a second (never a good Idea). When he looked up from his shock he saw a red light right in front of him, he slammed on the breaks punching through the bottom of the car. Just then the car stopped and the air bag deployed and smothered Jerid"s face.
"Welp I'm going to be late, what was that..." he muttered under his breath confused as to what just happened.
Day 01: Early Morning
7:23 Am
The young red-haired boy trudged down a rocky grey path, the small stones making a crunching sound with every step he took. He was still extremely tired after waking up in the middle of the night, due to a vivid nightmare.
He could recall bits and pieces of the experience, most importantly, the voices.
''Lives will be changed. A month to fulfill or destroy. What will be the outcome?!''
The voices swirled around in the nightmare, some becoming flat whispers, and others almost screaming. It seemed like it would go on forever, until a loud, booming message was spoken.
''LET THE GAMES BEGIN!''
