Abel's Ship

ABEL

With his head still looking up at the face of the creature, Abel says into his communicator, which is in his helmet, "We'll talk about this later." before taking said helmet off his head and holding it in his left hand. Just in case Leena would try to open the airlock again, now she wouldn't be able to without possibly injuring or killing Abel. Depends on whether or not Abel whips his helmet back on when he notices the room depressurizing. Now, Abel locks eyes with the creature and hopes he won't get crushed.

It was all fine and pleasant. Surely he could find something to eat besides his new ally. At least, things were pleasant before the airlock to the bay doors began to open and drove him to his knee, his taloned feet scratching and sliding across the floor towards the door. As the man slammed on the button to rectify this little problem, the carver slammed the point of his claw into the metal flooring, puncturing it to anchor himself in place. This changed things quit a bit, now didnt it, and he could see the man yelling at something other than him, perhaps over some kind of communicator.

He was angry and suspicious of the man, and once he gained his bearings he lashed towards the man with his hand, grabbing him by the torso in his iron grip and brought him directly to his face. He then brought the tip of his pincer under the mans chin and tilted his head with predatory curiosity. In Utauii, he spoke, "Explain yourself little one. I am hungry and am looking for an excuse to make you my dinner." But it all came out as low rumbling sounds, clicks, and sharp noises. A moment after, he added a humm of curiosity, to make sure the man understood that he wanted to know what had happened.

"There's a language barrier. Of course there is." He sighs before he lifts his arms. He holds up two fingers with his right hand, pointing to himself with his left, and then points outside of the airlock. Abel points at himself again, points at the beast, then smiles and laughs heavily. Abel points to the inside of the ship and points at his eyes. He goes from his eyes to the beast a couple of times and pantomimes a face of terror, pretending to try to escape from the hand which holds him while leaning away from the creature. "So there's two of us on the ship and a third somewhere, and while I spent time with you and know that you aren't hostile, she doesn't know you're friendly at all. She thinks you were going to kill me. She was just trying to save me."

He points outside of the room, then points to the beast and at his other hand which is shaped into a fist, going back and forth between the creature and the fist. Then he pretends to get crushed, leaning forward and pressing himself onto the creature's hand while he brings his fist up and down quickly above his head. Straightening his body, he then points back to the ship and makes another fearful face while his right hand pretends to be the opening airlock door. Then he points to himself, then the opening "door", and it lowers. "She's afraid of you, so she tried to save me from you and opened the door to do so. She doesn't know you're not violent!" He points at to the inside of the ship, then at his head and shakes it left and right.

She bows her head tilting it to the side and letting out an annoyed sigh. "Okay well at least it doesn't seem like he took it badly.." she says to herself right before the screen shows Abel taken up and 'now' the creature really seems upset. She drops her gun and places both of her hands over her mouth with a gasp as the aliens pincer comes to his neck "N-no.. please.." she whispers at the screen her voice cracking.

She begins to pace back and forth. It was her fault and now Abels life was in danger because of her. She's already done something stupid what should she do 'now'?! She holds her head with both hands in frustration and sees Abel making hand signs. "Is.. he.. sending.. that.. thing.. after me?!" She exclaims frightened. "He wouldn't.." she assures herself "...would he?"

Frantically thinking about something to do many possibilities come to mind. She could open the door and run in begging for his and her life yet that might make it seem like.. she's confronting it. Or stick to the original plan she just botched and stay put? Really? Stay put?! Or she could run in, guns blazing! "No.. no.. stupid stupid stupid!!" She concluded. Tears beginning to gather in her eyes.

During communication, the man was clearly distressed and had made it perfectly clear that somehow this was not his fault, but during the explanation he was laughing and trying to be all buddy buddy with it, like it was some kind of joke. As the man gave out chuckles, the carver tightened his grip ever so slightly and growled at him, to communicate the fact that he clearly wasn't having fun with it.

Feeling the creature tighten it's hand around his chest, Abel lets out a groan of discomfort. His mind goes blank and he squirms for a moment before stopping. He takes a few moments to think. "We brought you into the ship when we could've left you behind, I could've killed you while you were still sleeping, but I didn't!" He points at the creature with his left and points at the door seperating them from space with his right. He sticks his right finger vertically and keeps it far from him, then uses his left hand to "scoop" it closer to Abel's torso. He then lays the same finger horizontally, as if it were sleeping, then uses his left finger to slightly nudge it and stand vertically, the left finger representing Abel.

Zera

Zera watched from the camera, his red dome eyes widening at the creature.  He grabbed his board and began slamming it against the air lock.  'LET ME IN YOU RETYANA SON OF A TERANAT!'  He yelled through his thoughts, his attena were moving rapidly.  They were sending his thoughts as a signal without him knowing.

Halfway into the man's explanation of how the Utauii owed him and how it was at his mercy, it stopped listening. The finger motions and tone of his voice was enough to explain, but it honestly felt angrier afterwards. The nerve of this pathetic fledgling, it was judged by the universe, not him. But before it could crush the man in its hand, something started banging on the airlock and spoke to it. Discernably.

It told him to open the door, it's insult afterwards fell upon deaf ears, because the carver didn't know what those words meant. It set the man down in the closest corner to the door to the rest of the ship gently before making its way near the airlock bay doors and tilted it's head. It turned its gaze back to the man with suspicion and pointed down, signaling to him not to move before it turned back and shouted through the door in its tongue, "you belong, yes? Tell me how many belong on this vessel."

Zera

Zera had heard many languages, this was kinda new but he was able to decipher some words and piece it together.  He replied back through his antenna since the creature seem to understand it.  'Not even a greeting, anyway there are 3 here.  Must warn you to not get all hostile like that.  Most creatures in the galaxy don't like that stuff.  Also I'll take a large with some evertba on the side," like I said, some words, the rest were lost so he just filled in gaps.

Having sensed the anger of the creature, Abel was more than surprised when it just decided to put him down, face the wall and start shouting. Is, is this how his race got rid of their anger non-violently? It made a hand signal that told him not to move, so he stood there like he was wearing a dunce cap.

She spots Zera through the screen clubbing the airlock and her eyes suddenly widen and her mouth slightly opens in surprise "Well.. he sure has guts for a little blue guy.." she says in admiration.

Seeing as since Zera was also an alien maybe they could actually 'get' eachother; speech is much more effective than hand gestures after all.

She picks up her gun, and holsters it on her hip clearing her eyes of the previous frustrated tears. Looking at the screen she let's out a sigh and draws a deep breath. She feels her lungs fill nervously. Then brings her hand against the button to open the entrance to the airlock. Pressing it.

The door opens with a hiss and she walks in slowly with her hands up as to mean no harm. Looking down, then up at the creature interacting with Zera. "Ugh.. I hope they're related.. or something" She mumbled.

She held her breath and closed one eye shut the other looking at the alien as if bracing for a punch to the face.

"H.. hello!" She said nervously smiling and waving at it, her hands still up in the air.

As the door opens, Abel turns towards the door. He sees Leena walk in, and his face morphs into one of thought. His brows furrow for a moment before he notices that Zera and the alien are face to face. He remembers the beast shouting, and puts two and two together after some time. He begins shaking his head. "Zera, you magnificent bastard! You can talk to it?"

The creature gave an irritated snarl, retorting, "Hostile! One of you tried to jettison me out of the airlock, my reaction was perfectly justified." Then another stepped into the ship, it's view shifted immediately to them and it backed up to the center of the room, taking a defensive posture. It was sure it could take all of them, it just had to be careful, they were armed and it was not. It asked, "So, did you plan on killing me, or were you just afraid?"

The answer was vital for his next actions.

Zera

Zera looked at the others "He's asking if you were planning on killing him or were you just afraid."  He went back to the creature 'You must be hungry.  Here,' he pulled out his granola bar and extender it up 'How long were you in that vessel for?'

She flinched a bit at the aliens snarl. Then gasped at its gaze taking a few steps back. As it took a fighting stance "Wh.. whoa.." her hands as if trying to calm it down. "Easy there.. uhm.." She took her weapon and slowly put it on the floor and kicked it aside and shrugged with a nervous smile her hands slightly above her head "s-sorry.. i.. uhm.. don't speak alien.. okay?"

She looked at the alien for some kind of sign then at Zera and back at the creature again "Oh! No no I'm sorry about that.." She suddenly gestured as if asking for permission to move and reached into her pocket revealing a yo-yo.

Slowly she starts closer to the alien; her offering at the center of her hand "Sorry.. I sorta, kinda, maybe, probably, might have .." she puts the loop of the yo-yos string around her finger and let's it fall and catches it gently as the toy returns back to her hand and takes the string off before wrapping the loop on one of its claws "...chickened out".

She turned her head at Abel and attempted an apologetic smile then back at the alien. "Those are sharp looking claws" She thought and gulped.

He looks at Leena, trying to glean her intentions from her facial expressions. It's not even questionable. After a moment, he looks up at the creature apologetically. "Please tell him it was an action done out of fear rather than hatred. Also, could you tell him that if I had accidentally offended him, I meant no harm?"

The carver was being overwhelmed with offerings and surrounded by three. Regardless of how generous they were being, it was not a sociable creature. It outright refused the granola and tore the yoyo off it's claw without any consideration in breaking it. It wasnt that he didnt like it, but didnt understand what it was, and gifts were not for his kind. The granola bar was overly saccharin smelling. He told the other xeno, "I don't know, I was in stasis, but I cannot eat that." Then he waved the rest off, he was really tired and not in the mood to do much at the moment, and so he curled up on the floor and gave a tired moan, saying, "I'm sorry. I need some real sleep.."

She tilted her head in surprise as the carver sliced up her yoyo. She was hoping they'd be friends and somehow take it back anyway. She picked up the pieces and looked at them in her hands then at the slumbering alien "But.. its.. a yoyo.." she said sadly and lightly confused.

She put whatever was left of the small device back in her pack while slowly taking steps back away from the carver.

She turned her head towards Abel "eh.. I guess this means.. were.. off the hook!" She said naively with a fake smile and a thumbs up. She really wanted to feel safe again even if it meant lying to herself.

She turned to look at the carver again "What.. is it?" Saying as she slowly scratched the back of her neck.

Abel watched the creature closely as it ripped the yoyo apart, declined the granola bar and went to sleep. Who would've thought that the beast would need sleep after just waking up from what seemed to be a stasis? Hearing Leena ask about their

safety, he nods his head. "For the moment." He turns and starts to walk back to the cockpit when Leena asks about the thing. "I don't know what it is. Now let's get out of here and avoid bugging it, unless you don't want to be safe anymore. Zera, you should probably come too."

Zera

Zera looked back at the beast before going with the others "So any plans on where to go?  I've been needing a drink, maybe some food after the experience i've had in just one day.  Made some enemies, friends and now in a nice ride," he put his board on his back, his antenna going back into position, lowering down so he could put his hat back on.

She started towards the door, the creature sort of rumbling as it slept and slightly chuckled "yes.. right.." and followed after Abel taking a glance back leaving the airlock back to the front of the ship.

"Repairs are finished by the way.." her voice returning to a slightly more composed tone "..the hull has a big silvery spot but I'm positive she'll hold a few hyper drive engagements".

Sitting down and strapping herself to her seat her cat Spike sits on her lap a bit grumpy looking. "Awww.. don't tell me you're still upset I left you on that burning ship?" She says childishly while holding his face in her hands and kissing it's nose.

She looks up at Zera "yes.. please.." she didn't notice how hungry she was during all the panic "..I could totally go for for some food and eh.. really marvel at this ships engineering!" She said noticing the ships advanced panels, controls and instruments.

She pokes Zera curiously "S-sorry.." she hesitates "..I thought you'd be gooey and bouncey but your skin is completely dry!" She says happily surprised tempted to poke his antenna next.

Zera

Zera chuckled, touching his own skin "It's fine, if you really need to exam me then that's fine.  Just don't go taking samples from me, a lot of aliens in the galaxy would like to do that."  His antenna perked, feeling around just to show off "I prefer the board, been with me since I first traveled the stars."

Once Abel steps into the cockpit, he stretches and yawns. "So my plan was to go to one of the bigger trading hubs to get some food. I just refilled my supply, but I don't think it'd last with you two and the other guy on the ship. While we're there, I can get a few things that we might need for later, and then when we come back we can eat in the mess hall. I'd buy you a drink or two Zera, but I'm a little tight on credits at the moment, so you'll have to make due with some cheap stuff on the ship." He sits in the captain's seat before chuckling at Leena's mention of the ship. "Yeah, it's a good ship alright. Not that many people use this kind because it usually needs a large crew, but I've sorted that problem with a few modifications." He chuckles. "I decked this baby out with all sorts of upgrades, but I haven't even filled every room in it."

(Sorry I took long, I was doing homework late at night and I was just too tired to reply.)

She tilts her head still curious "You don't say?" Poking Zeras antenna and then sort of moving his head from side to side "..so.. curious!" She says in awe "Are there others like you?" She presses "Do you have a mom? da-" she restrains herself "You don't have to answer.." she says thoughtfully with a bright smile.

Turning her gaze towards Abel mentioning food and some kind of hub her eyes illuminate "Yes that sounds perfect.." remembering she was very low on credits herself she continues "..well.. other than a bite.. I'll most likely just be window shopping.." she finishes a bit melancholy.

She didn't have the credits to install a hyper drive on her ship so it was amazing that after 3 years of floating about above Earth's orbit space collecting space junk and repairing cargo ships that came and went she was finally able to travel beyond the solar system she'said ever known.

Not like she didn't try stealing a hyper drive once; a heist that went terribly wrong for trusting in the wrong people. It set her back on nearly enough credits to purchase one herself. She was truly much more naive back then than she is now.

When Abel mentioned a crew she almost raised her hand asking to apply. The thought of steady work and space travel was such a fascinating dream she slowly started "Hmm.. Surely you don't need a crew.. you seem to have gotten by quite well.." she wonders what type of upgrades "..I'd like to pick your brain sometime over these upgrades your speaking of.. I'm.." she paused "..very.. uhm.. obsessed with engineering".

Zera

Even though his antennas were slick and black, they were also quite fuzzy.  Zera laughed at her interest in him "There are others like me.....but not very much.  In a way, i'm one of a kind.  I'm a Koyya from the planet Orios."  He smiled at her question on parents "Na, we were born off trees," he joked since the way they were born was a secret.  "Don't worry, I have the secret to free food and drinks."  What was this?  He opened his vest to reveal a pocket full of coupons.
