"Hey guys,"

Makenna started with her usual smile, holding up her camera with the recording button flashing. She was used to filming her videos in public-she was a vlogger, after all- but the LAX airport wasn't as welcoming as the mall back home in Springfield, Alabama.. the whole place had the wrong vibe. Makenna sighed, flipping her camera shut. She'd just have to wait until she was away from the crowds to begin her next video. The girl tucked her film equipment back inside her bag, and proceeded forward towards the baggage claim.

2:57 P.M.

'Kyle. I just wanted to let you know that I landed about 30 minutes ago and should be outside in 5ish.. see you soon? :) '

She walked outside into the warm L.A. air with her head buried in a book, her hands filled with passports and whatnot. Everything was on Makenna Auburne's mind
except for the pole in front of her. That is, until she ran into it.

Kyle read the text that Makenna sent her, snorting at the smiley face. It was quite typical of her. She was always super happy. He texted back:

I'm already here, looking around for you, sweetheart.

He turned the corner for what seemed like the millionth time - and saw Makenna walk straight into a pole. He couldn't stop himself from laughing as he strode over to her.

"It seems like you're having a great time already. Having affairs with the poles here, eh, Makenna?" he teased her. "Welcome to LA, where dreams come true. Also known as me." He took one of her bags and started leading her toward the car lot where he had parked his matte neon green car, and placed her stuff in the trunk.

"We'll work out the details of what's going where and which room you're going to stay in once we get to my house, okay? Don't fret, darling," he smirked at her before starting the car and heading off.

(Sorry it's kind of short...)

"Ooof. Ah. What? Where?"

Makenna backed up, her passport flying down to the ground and in return, her hands flying up to her nose, where a steady stream of blood began to fall. She winced, grabbing a half-eaten protein bar from her bag. Makenna bit the bar in her mouth, and put the wrapper up to her nose, in hopes to block the flow from ever reaching the ground. Makenna's eyes then rest on Kyle, who stood there, smirking at her with a demeanor she couldn't quite put her finger on.

"Oh yes, I'm doing just fine, thank you for expressing your concern. You know, running into poles, that happens daily."

She rolled her eyes, wincing once more as she stepped into the car.

"I assume all of your other guests have injuries whenever they enter your vehicle. Just a guess."

Makenna laughed, bringing her hand down from her nose and staring out onto the crowded road.

"
I'm just surprised nobody has spotted us ye-"

She clamped her mouth shut at the sight of a throng of teen girls, their phones out and ready as the vehicle passed them.

"Jinxed it."

@Munchies

Kyle laughed at her, handed her a tissue box, and leaned back in his seat lazily, like a cat, as they hit traffic. "Do you not love the attention? I think we may have just made those teenagers' day," he smirked. He turned his attention back to the traffic and turned on the radio, not bothering to ask for Makenna's approval. They finally pulled into his driveway and he took out her things carefully from the back. He carried her things in.

"Follow me. I'll show you where your room will be, cupcake, and then I'll give you the grand tour. Unless you want to unpack first. I can wait for you, my lovely lady," he smirked again.

Makenna laughed, mirroring his lazy posture as she pressed a tissue up against her nose. The press had always been something she was baffled by; it was something in the way people were fascinated about her life that always left her questioning when she saw people taking pictures or asking to be tagged in a photo. Why are they so interested? Makenna would always ask herself.

"
I don't know. They didn't look too excited. Maybe they were looking for Beyonce or something.. you famous people and your famous city."

She rolled her eyes and smiled wider, despite the awful pain growing in her face. The presence of Kyle was always something to smile about. The smile on her lips now would only grow more for the rest of the day.

"I think I'm going to unpack first.."

Makenna stated as the car pulled up in front of his house.

"If you don't mind, of course. I do already know the floor plan of your home.. I may or may not have watched your very, very few vlogs prior to taking off.. and I may or may not have memorized every second of them...!"

She laughed, exiting the vehicle and following Kyle inside.

"You really didn't have to carry those.. I'm not physically incapable."

The blood that continued to drip from her nose said otherwise.

@Munchies

"Darling, are you mocking me?" he laughed as she mimicked him. "I think they were quite interested. But, I am the male Beyoncé, if I do say so myself."

"Yes, alright, unpack. I will not question your stalkerish antics until later," he smirked. "But for now, I am already behind on my uploads, so I will go and game for a bit. Then we can make a video of your presence here at my lovely home... I'm quite sure our fans, especially our shippers, will be delighted." He winked. She really was quite cute. He detached himself from his spot leaning against the doorframe and went to go to his game room. "Help yourself to anything you want! Millie should be around here somewhere, so go say hi to her too!" he called back to her as he left. He then set up his equipment and started to film another video.

"Oh yes, I'm quite sure your cat will be delighted to see me. I smell like swamps and teenage boys."

Makenna mused to herself, hauling all three of her bags, which were heavy with film equipment, food, clothes, and of course, books-all of the basic travel necessities, as she would call it- to the room where she would dwell for the time being. She then threw them all on the floor quite loudly, loud enough for even the neighbors to hear, and sat down next to them.

Minutes later, after each and every last piece of home had been put away, Makenna skipped out of the room and into the hallway.

"Filming room. Um. Ummmmmmm..."

She pivoted around, biting her lip in confusion.

After a bit of pondering, (and a few stops to check her appearance in the mirror) Makenna made her way to Kyle.

"Hello!"

She exclaimed, the grin on her lips expanding to an almost comical size.

@Munchies

Kyle spun around, panicked. Makenna had scared the living daylights out of him. He quickly recovered and smirked at her expression. He adjusted the facecam to show her standing there. Luckily he was only playing some cheap iPad games that people had suggested him to play in the comments.

"And here we have a wild Makenna in her natural habitat," he said, trying to sound like a narrator in a documentary. "We see her standing there, smiling, for reasons unknown to man. Man may never understand her strange antics."

(Gah. Sorry for the shortness. >_<)

Makenna tilted her head at his reaction, confused. Kyle was always so sure of his surroundings. Soon, though, the thought disappeared from her mind as the camera came into view. As if a switch had been flicked in her mind, she entered what people would like to call "On-Camera Auburne." She flipped her hair over her shoulder, straightened her dress, and began to smile once more.

"Oh. You're already recording."

The smile dropped from her face and was replaced by a nervous laugh.

"You better not be livestreaming.."

(same ..)

"It's your lucky day, I'm actually not," he winked. "So I can edit this out before I upload. I'd prefer if we could vlog later, and have this whole debacle be a surprise. If you'd let me finish up recording, that'd be great." He smiled, shooing her away playfully.

"I have snacks in the kitchen, so go help yourself. Unless you need professional assistence," he smirked before resetting his facecam camera back to his face. Millie walked in then, and climbed up Kyle's leg. He started playing the game he was on again. It was seemingly impossible. He cursed a lot as he tried to figure it out, and made jokes. Millie meowed, and he tried to get her to play the game, to no avail. Eventually, he finished, transferred the video onto his computer, and started editing his work. It wasn't hard; he'd done it so many times before. He added special effects and bleeped out the curses. After he finished that, he started to upload it. Then, he picked Millie up and headed for the kitchen.

"Thank god.."

Makenna whispered to herself, making her way to the kitchen with minimal confusion. She opened and closed the pantry and the fridge multiple times, in hopes of finding something edible, but ended up just finding processed meats and overly salted foods. She'd just be vegetarian for the time being, Makenna figured.

(Heh, I'm actually a vegan in real life, but I tend not to role play as vegan. d: Heh. Fun facts about me. xD )

He walked to the kitchen casually, then set Millie free on the floor as he walked to the island in the middle of the kitchen. Millie weaved herself around his legs as he walked, and purred. He opened a drawer, grabbed a Fruit Gushers, and popped them into his mouth carelessly. "It seems you have no particular liking for my snacks," he fake-pouted. He then smiled at her. "Anywhere in particular you'd like to dine at tonight, my lady? The pleasure is on me," he winked at her. "If you don't have a clue where you'd want to start, I have a few places in mind that are pretty great."

"I tend to shy away from the 'junk' you people eat.."

Makenna laughed, leaning up against the kitchen counter. So far, things had been going pretty swell. No awkward moments, except for the "pole incident"--which she probably wouldn't hear the end of until the day she would die--, no serious injuries.. And what Makenna was most thankful for- no flirting. Yet. Although, she couldn't help but notice the way Kyle's lips curled up in a smirk whenever they made eye contact.. And the curve of his finger as they lazily tapped away on the kitchen counter..

Stop. You're here for the fans.

"Ain't nothin' like a good-old Alabama hamburger here in L.A., that's for sure. Don't fret. I brought the recipe with me in my book."

"Ah, sweetheart, that's a nice offer, but I wouldn't want to trouble a fair young lady on her first stay, now would I? Quite rude, it would be~" he smirked. "Besides, we're going to vlog your stay here, so I think we need to make it a little interesting. I have a surprise planned after dinner, too, but we first need to decide where we're going to eat. I'm feeling Chinese food, what about you?" he winked. He noticed her studying him and his smirk turned even more arrogant.

"Don't check me out too much, there won't be enough of me for the rest of the ladies."

Makenna rolled her eyes, as if she were brushing off everything he had just said. To avoid eye contact with that smirk of Kyle's, she reached into her pocket to grab her phone. With a wink indicating that she was about to record, Makenna opened the video app and closed her eyes.

"Day one at Kyle's house. He's being extremely hostile with the food situation. He is constantly bombarding me with witty comebacks and a constant smirk. Help. Send out a search mission. You may find my body in a ditch by morning. They say you walk by numerous psychopaths every day, you know, and,"

Makenna laughed, casting a slight glance at Kyle.

"Hint, hint."

"By 'a ditch', she means 'Kyle's bed'." He smirked, thoroughly enjoying her description of her stay. "Babe, I'm only a psychopath in the bedroom~" He teased her, then started laughing.

"Don't you guys worry about dear little Makenna; she will be fine under my tender care," he smirked again, before turning to leave the kitchen. "I'll let you fill them in on what's happened today in peace, but don't forget that you ran into a pole. Great first start here."

He walked out of the kitchen and up to his bedroom to check on his uploading video. It has finished, and there were already comments. He read and replied to a few of them.

Makenna scoffed at Kyle's response. She didn't know how to feel: insulted, for being called little; violated, for the pet-names; or scared, for how the shippers would react. She couldn't cut that out of her video, Kyle wouldn't let her.. Makenna sighed, returning her gaze back at the camera.

"Well, I can tell you guys that I've only been here about an hour, and I've had a heck of a lot happen.."

A few minutes and several awkward moments later, Makenna stopped recording on her phone and proceeded to find Kyle. Once she did, she placed her hands on her hips, and gave him a knowing smirk.

"If you're going to continue talking like that for the rest of my stay, you better be prepared for a little retaliation."

"Retaliation, huh?" he turned around in his chair and stood up, moving closer to her. She wasn't that much shorter than him, but he still held his stance in a way that looked like he was looming over her. "What kind of retaliation would that be..?" He smirked at her and brushed his fingers down her arms. "Because I'm sure, that whatever retaliation is, I can handle it." Kyle smirked down at her, before turning back around.

"Goodbye, sweetheart; I have to make reservations," he smiled to himself, knowing the tingles would leave her wanting more. He was becoming increasingly attracted to her, and he knew it. He could only hope she felt the same way.

"More like me stabbing you in your- I mean, heh, making jokes right back at you."

Makenna teased, grabbing Kyle's shoulder before he had the chance to recede away. She stared up at him for a second; her expression raw and bare. A glance of wanting searched his face, before the façade took over again and she was once again masked by a giddy grin and radiant eyes.

"I'm sure whatever you have to do, you can do in here. I'm comforted by your presence."

Makenna winked, her grin turning into a smirk as she stood up a little taller.

"Why- in the goddamn world- are you so tall?"

He smiled at her, and caught her façade fall away for a second. He decided not to dwell on that.

"It's because if I was in a small body, all this awesomeness wouldn't be able to be contained, obviously. And, so I can do this."

He tilted her head up gently, then kissed her slowly. He smirked as he pulled away.

"I really need to call to make a reservation now, so babe, I'd appreciate it if you either would be very quiet or go out of my room for a minute."

Makenna was about to respond with an equally witty rebuttal, but, something cut off her senses completely- and managed to ignite every single one of them at the same time.

He kissed her.

Makenna gave a short little gasp, her round eyes wide open for the duration. After what seemed like minutes of their lips touching, Kyle finally pulled away. Makenna was speechless, looking up at him with equal confusion and relief. Had that actually just happened? How could he have recovered from that so quickly? A million questions flooded her mind, but none of them ever left her lips.

"O-okay, I'll be outside then."

She finally responded, her voice low and natural- unlike anything Kyle had ever heard before. She nodded, as if assuring herself, and walked out of the room and into the hallway.

Kyle looked back at her in surprise. Was that really her voice that had just spoken? He would never admit it, but he was still tingling and shivering inside from their kiss. He'd kissed a multitude of girls before in a multitude of ways, but he'd never gotten quite so strange a feeling: he felt a little sick, to tell the truth. He picked up the phone and dialed the number of an excellent authentic Chinese restaurant nearby.

"Hello? Hey. I'd like to make a reservation for two people at 7:00? Thanks, goodbye." He hung up, and held his head in his hands for a few moments before putting on his seemingly permanent smirk.

"We'll be going in an hour or so for the restaurant, but would you like to do something until then? We could always make out," he said, wiggling his eyebrows and winking at her.

Makenna shivered, pressing her back against the side of the hallways wall. Her spine was tingling, her lips were on fire, and her mind was racing at the speed of light. Why? Why her? She shook the thought out of her head, as she heard the voice of Kyle resonate throughout the entire dwelling. So deep.. So entrancing. She slid down the side of the wall, putting her face in her knees.

I am such a love struck idiot.

When Kyle poked his head out from his room, she jolted up, her face red and splotchy.

"That's a good idea,"

Makenna rose from her spot on the ground, and placed her hands gently on the the sides of Lee's face. She stood there, breathing softly, staring into his eyes for a millisecond, before pressing her lips to his.

Kyle was about to tease her for her reaction, but suddenly, she kissed him again. He didn't expect it. He growled softly as she kissed him, and pinned her against the wall. He pulled away to catch his breath, then leaned back into the kiss, but deepened it this time. His hands lowered to her thighs and he lifted her up and wrapped her legs around his waist. He kissed her for a long time before gently letting go of her.

"We should stop," he said breathily, a predatory tone in his voice. He was concentrating on thinking straight. "Not that I don't want you, sweetheart, but I can't control myself. Had you asked me to stop, I wouldn't have." His voice was very husky and he cleared his throat quickly. Millie walked into the area, mewling for attention. He walked into his room to grab some of her toys then sat down, playing with the little kitten.
