Fantasy A Yet Unbroken World

Ged Merrilin

Demonic House-Cat
-Character Creation:

Rules:

No extremely powerful characters, not even just hero level characters. Think a level 1-3 D&D character at most.

I request for your character to have little backstory already made. A background and an idea of where they were in life is necessary, this will hopefully allow the character to breathe and fit the world more. Remember, they were born here, maybe from a remote area with different customs, but they were born in this world.

No more than 2 separate characters per person.

This must be an original character that you have made and is unique to this RP.

Species must be able to interact on the same level as humans. i.e. furries, elves dwarves,… etc are fine but no hideous monsters or demon beasts.

Read the lore before making your character and fit them into this world somewhat.

Like the character you make, if you feel constricted by these rules or need

clarification, talk to me.

Whoops...sorry ^^; I'll try again, but with a different character.

Name: Felix

Age: 13

Racial description: Serpent (boa constrictor, wild magician)

Personal appearance: A light aqua snake that's 5'7" long and weight 100 lbs. He has light yellow cheeks, underbelly, and lower mouth.

Background: He raised himself in a dense forest and depended a lot on other animals for his and their survival. A lot of animals he depended on were natural Snake prey, and a lot of them were herbivores. Because of the diet he's accustomed to eating, he considers himself a vegan. He chase to adventure in search for a mentor or guardian to care for him.

Profession/Skills:

1) Can grow fiery arms and legs as a cantrip and become humanoid, but only for about 10 minutes and the fire is an illusion.

2) Practices Medicine

3) Quick and agile

Personality/Flaws:

1) Very dependent on allies.

2) Over Epithetical and friendly even to some dangerous beasts.

3) Will hurt, but won't kill.

(Go here if you want a visual and an animation)

Name: Âme

Age: [unknown]

Racial description: Synthetic Humanoid, Exploration Variant (Synth for short)

Personal appearance: Slim, humanoid, carved wood and bits of stone, with the green glow of her Core Gem coming out of her joints, cracks and flaws. She has no eyes, just glowing sockets, and clothed in leaves.

Personality/Flaws: Naive, innocent, optimistic and non-violent. She befriends animals and makes a hobby out of healing them. For not having an actual heart, she's very big hearted. She does, however not understand 'bionics', and also isn't used to being around sentient bionics. She is deathly afraid of fire, not combat trained, and addicted to tobacco.

Background:

Her mission: Spend five years exploring, find new information, fauna and knowledge of sentient civilizations.

The problem: Things went sideways. Ame explored into unknown territory, like told, but took a fall off a cliff. After spending who knows how long offline, Ame evolved/corrupted, and fell in love with life. Ame stayed out much to long, and slowly replaced its parts with natural resources; Wood for shapes, stone for tougher things, the only part that has remained throughout is the Core Gem.

Profession/Skills:
Ame is healer and a animal trainer of sorts

-She's familiar with salves, herbs, and various natural remedies used to heal, along with minor 'wild magic', or life force pulled out of her Core Gem. (Painful, dirty, and fatal in excess).

-As for animals, she speaks many of their languages, and has a reputation in the animal kingdom for needing protection. (Can't pull Cthullu out of a puddle, but usually has a deadly companion)

Sketch for reference: (not in game accurate)

Accepted, I am going to assume that she wears a cloak or something in order to avoid stares in the city but it is accepted!

Accepted, except nobody knows or lives at the bottom of the pillars, might have to make that more clear... We can just say she lives in caves far below.

Name: Vallan Tyagren

Age: 19

Racial Description: Haemile kitsae'n

The kitsae'n (a name derived from the corruption of the original name kitsune) of this region typically have fur that is pale red to blonde in color with blue eyes, something attributed to the fact that air type magic is overabundant compared to other types of magic due to living up so high in the sky. Something further evidenced by the differing colors of kitsae'n who's mothers lived in places that are rich in other type of magic (often magical laboratories, magic schools, or other places that are naturally rich is non-air type magics) have given birth to kitsae'n with different fur/eye colors attributed to said other types of magic. All this points to a very high, if not extreme racial affinity for magic. While they often live shorter lives than the Kanfae Kitsune due to magic being less prevalent, they still are able to develop multiple tails, though seeing four on a kitsae'n is rare while five or more is almost unheard of.

The first kitsae'n came from the land of Kanfae generations ago when magic was more openly practiced and less tightly controlled by the rich. With the decline of mages coupled with rise of the merchant barons, quite a few kitsae'n families ended working for and eventually falling under the control of said barons in exchange for safety and wealth.

Now the kitsae'n almost always spend their entire lifetimes using their magical talents in service to these barons, given more prestigious positions based on how fast they can acquire their second tail in their magical studies. These positions often make use of their innate magical sensitivity, often working as inspectors of magical goods. Though some are lucky enough to serve as the household's personal magi, serving as part of someone's personal guard or assisting with an important magical operation. How much actual autonomy and authority the kitsae'n are given vary from house to house.

Though... now and then rumors of kitsae'n spies and even assassins that can disguise themselves with glamours and illusions pop up now and then, even though such magic is supposed to be illegal. In any case, such kinds of magic of the complexity these kitsae'n illusionists are supposedly capable of pulling off seems to be near impossible for other races to perform.
Personal Appearance: Vallan Tyagren stands of around average height, his fur is a golden blond color (that in real life would belong on a golden retriever) that blends into a pure white color around his belly, the bottom of his head, hands and feet, the tips of his ears, and the tips of his two tails (white coloration replacing the black colorations seen on real life foxes). His eyes are also purple, a trait he inherited from his mother.

Vallan wears blue pants (that can be cinched shut at the ends), a gray shirt, and blue jacket. He also wears blue, lace up boots. He likes the color blue if you can't tell.

Personality/Flaws: Vallan's biggest defining trait is that he is optimistic, though not because he is utterly naive (although he does have some of that), but because he always believes that there's a way to make things turn out for the better. He believes in treasuring whatever good things you have in life and looking out for more good things in life. He also possesses a strong work ethic and is no stranger to doing hard work (though he honestly prefers not to). As well as looking out for the good things in life, he also looks for the good in people and tries to bring that out in them.

On the flipside, when Vallan does have the chance to be lazy, he does so. He hates making people feel uncomfortable or angry and will quickly back down or offer an alternative when confronted about something. This makes him easy to boss around. He is always overly polite and trying to please everyone, though sometimes that can lead to pleasing no one at all.

Background:

Born to kitsae'n mages who both used their magic and their skill to craft things for their house (his mother an alchemist and his father a creator of warding and protection charms), it was no surprise that Vallan wanted to do something similar.

Always having been fascinated by the enchanted items and tools that Vallan's father and mother made use of, he wanted to learn how to make those things and so decided to become an enchanter. His progression in magic was average, but the way he so voraciously ate up any knowledge that he could about the art of enchanting that he could get as well as magic theory impressed his house and so he was sent off to become an apprentice to a master enchanter living in another city.

Upon arrival the master enchanter completely refused to train Vallan since the master felt that training the kitsae'n before him on the bequest of Vallan's house would greatly endanger the future careers of his own children. The master tore up the letter in front of Vallan and said that he would never, not in a million years, train Vallan. To that Vallan just replied politely that he would train on his own, which made the master burst out laughing.

After using the money his house sent him off with that would've gone to paying for his apprenticeship to buy a good sized workshop/house as well as all the tools he needed, Vallan did just that. He started by buying up any enchanted items he could and reverse engineering the magic on them best he could. Eventually though the money started to run out and he now sells basic enchanted items to the local community to make a living. All the while trying to further his own knowledge of enchanting.
Profession/Skills: Enchanting, working hard, magic theory
