Lorwen

Kianu's Realm, Castle

Lorwen had moved herself away from the entryway to settle herself near a wall not too far from the doors, knowing full well that staying at the entrance would only serve to draw attention to herself. Normally, she would not mind having to mingle with others since it was a welcome distraction from the rigors of travel and an opportunity to add another mortal craft to her repertoire. This was not a normal outing. The sheer number of individuals as well as their choice of apparel made this castle visit far different from any other social interaction Lorwen had been apart of. She would have been merely nervous had this venue contained only mortals but, only because Lorwen had not gone out of her way to attend anything so extravagant as a ball in the past. Here, within the realm of another goddess, Lorwen faced the very real possibility of interacting with other deities. Nervousness barely described the sensation coiling deep within herself. It has been quite some time since I descended to this world. Perhaps the others have changed? A tug on the purple gown's skirt drew Lorwen away from her thoughts.

"I-um- do you know where Vitis is?" The white haired child grasping Lorwen's gown appeared to be afraid, though she could hardly fault the child. This gathering had a large amount of people within the same enclosed space, which was enough to unsettle most beings, herself included. Still, looking down upon this child stirred Lorwen's maternal side and caused the women to carefully crouch downwards so that her face was level with the boy's. "I am sorry, I do not know where Vitis is." Nor, did Lorwen know who Vitis was, though it was entirely possible that this 'Vitis' person was a relative or a Guardian of the small boy. If that was the case, then it was very commendable that this young boy had taken the initiative to seek out help. "Would you like to look for Vitis together? I'm sure the search will be easier with two sets of eyes." Lorwen offered the child a kind smile as she gazed upon him fondly. Then, the goddess rose back up to her full height and smoothed out the rumples that had formed on her gown from crouching. Lorwen was about to offer the child her hand so that she could escort him about the castle on his search when another approaching figure caught her eye.

Lorwen gently urged the white haired child behind her skirt, allowing the boy to hide behind her if he so chose, as the figure approached. A man? No, he lacks a proper face or any distinguishing features for any of the mortal races' males. Wait a moment...stars!? The brunette woman could not comprehend just what the odd being before her was. Lorwen assumed the new individual before her was matured and therefore considered to be an adult, but she could not be certain of that. When the creature spoke its greeting, Lorwen's confusion began to wane, being slowly replaced with the nervousness she had been feeling earlier. Whomever this individual is, they must be tied to one of the deities that are present or they are a deity themselves. The goddess's smile lessened as her blue eyes darkened ever so slightly. "Why, thank you." The words were measured carefully and held none of the previous warmth Lorwen had displayed towards the child. "Though, you must forgive me. I do not know who you are."

1638034882162.pngDream's End

End felt a wave of sadness wash over him when she said she did not know where Vitis was, however, her next comment returned his mood back to normal, "r-really? You're willing to help this one?" End felt a wave of relief wash over him, with someone as tall as her there was no way that they couldn't find Vitis. Plus Miko had also decided to join their search, there was nowhere that Vitis could be that they wouldn't find. Unless of course, he had left the party. Which he would never do since End was still there.

As a stranger approached End didn't hesitate to hide behind her skirt, pulling Miko along with him as he did so. As he peeked out he noticed the way the person set up their face. Was that a smile? End felt some of his fear ease away as he also offered the other a small smile, his hands still gripping on the woman's skirt. At the mention of his name End gave a small nod in conformation, however, left the talking to the adults woman and the stranger.

He had to admit something about the stranger seemed familiar. Maybe he had met with Vitis before? Or maybe just someone Vitis had described, he wasn't exactly sure but that reminded him of something, maybe the stranger knew where Vitis was. Ignoring his manners for a second, End butted into the conversation, "d-does one know where Vitis is?" he blurted out, a look of hope on his face before it quickly fell to embarrassment, "Sorry." he added weakly as he realized his rudeness.

Unry

"No need to apologize... it is my fault regardless for addressing both your names... without addressing my own"
Unry expressed in a positive tone, "My name is Unry, Father of the Void and Arbiter of Knowledge... at your service" Unry stated with an oddly upbeat tone lowering his head once more before slowly raising it back up again.

Before Unry could continue any further End asked a most peculiar question, one which the shard had not been too focused on, "... where Vitis is............... Last I knew they were headed... for Mawlock's realm... yet... it is the only location in existence in which I do not know what happens... that... that... that... worries and aggravates me, but you shouldn't worry much about my own grievances I'm sorry End, for only vaguely knowing where Vitis is..."

"Well... I am but a fragment... it is not... for me to worry about what might be or not be... that shall be his burden... So, have any of you got any interests in mind?" Unry spoke, switching his tone from worried to carefree in an almost uncomfortable manner.

"Hi miss thanks for being so nice and help out too, I don't want endy to be sad that would be the worst" Miko interjected without much care for if it was his turn or place to speak after all they where but a child... being abandoned tho hit close, miko having been abandoned himself... the approch of someone else resulted in miko being pulled behind the unknow woman's skirt becuse someone else a bit more spooky approched. A spooky void filled Thing that upon approch didn't seem to spooky infact it answered where vitis had gone but miko knew that you needed to be a big God to go there to uncle mawlocks place.. "hmm vitis must have had an important thing to do then endy but that's ok becuse vitis will be back... he has to" miko got a little worried there for a moment... not really likely the idea of his best friend being left alone. Attention quickly shifting to stary eyed fellow as a distraction. "OH are you the one that eats the carpet? Zexzad said you did that once eating carpet sounds funny" miko giggled.

Elyis

Elyis listened to his sister carefully, nodding in understanding as she spoke. His expression remained firm and consistent even when she made mention of Vitis killing Mawlock. When she was done speaking he uncrossed his arms and rested his hands on his hips. "I promise you Unry doesn't know how t-" Before he could finish speaking a fragment of Unry manifested itself behind Agapi. "If going with Unry will put your mind and heart at ease, then do so. I know of the affliction Mawlock has that you speak of. I feel it. But if we are to speak of what to do, we must do so once the party has concluded. Do not worry about the warning of Vitis. Find me after the appointed time Vitis has given you." He took Agapi's hands in his own in a reassuring manner, "I will help you, but first we must wait." He leaned in and gave her a hug before acknowledging Unry with a nod. "I must return to Lorwen. I promised I would be by her side during the event."

Elyis left the two, going back inside to see his date being swarmed by smol people. And, of course, Unry. Elyis came upon the small gathering of people, placing his arm around Lorwen and gently guiding her to his side, away from the three. "I'm sorry my love, my sister needed me for a moment. Everything is alright now, though. Have you made some friends?" He asked Lorwen, looking at her before looking at Dream's End, Miko, and Unry.

  • Sinidarr

Sini_F.jpgSinidarr cursed to himself as he heard the new voice boom out. Scanning the room he found exactly what he thought: no Paleros. A brief stint alone had made that minor deity more insolent than he imagined. Sinidarr stormed around the dance floor and threw open the doors, marching out into the snow. Thunder quietly rolled in the distance as the clouds began to blot out the stars.
Sinidarr followed the melted snow path and as he rounded a tree, he found Paleros and Animus standing beside the burly, armoured figure of the Pyre King. A short distance ahead of them, however, was another figure. A small feminine figure made of stars and the night sky, slowly taking more exact form. It was this little god’s voice that Sinidarr had heard. Their aura was fresh, and the area was rich with the energy of creation. What hand had Paleros played in their creation? If they directly contributed, would this new one be a quasi-god? Or perhaps Paleros played no hand at all, a stance Sinidarr easily found himself accepting.
A sudden burst of noxious air filled Sinidarr’s nose. His ears rang loudly, almost deafening him. Sinidarr’s heart began to pound. Black and white spots filled his vision. Sinidarr leaned against the tree, slowly lowering himself. Something was profoundly wrong. Something his senses were screaming at him to notice.
Was it Paleros? No, the Pyre King? No.
Sinidarr’s breathing became ragged like his lungs were filled with tar. Sinidarr pushed further into his own mind, imploring that alien intelligence to aid him once more. Nothing.
The Awakener had just left, was something wrong with them? No, the stag could hold its own. Nothing could place them in serious danger this soon after leaving. Whatever was happening was too recent for Sinidarr to fully understand.
Sinidarr strengthened his resolve. He replaced his confusion with determination. Sinidarr snatched a large branch off the tree with ease, heaving his weight onto it and lifting himself back onto his feet. As he pressed against it, pieces of the branch began to flake off into ash, electricity crackling along its length. When he finally reached his regular stance, Sinidarr gripped the wood tightly in his hand. What remained of the branch was a spear. A humming barb on the end gave off small electrical charges, and the wood itself looked burnt in places.
Sinidarr’s mind began to return, the ringing in his ears still present, yet faded significantly. His vision returned, save for some clouded splotches. His heart still beat faster than usual, this he was fine with.
Sinidarr strengthened his resolve. He would need to be prepared for the times to come.

Minnie

Kianu's Realm, Outside the Castle

The cold, crisp air cut through the air and licked at Minnie's cheeks, making them tint a light shade of pink. Her breath puffed into the air and wafted around in the freezing temperatures, she watched as they slowly disappeared from the air, leaning against her quaint little cart. Something wet brushed against her neck causing her to let out a squeak until she heard Hank's laughter in her ears. Minnie huffed and lifted the mischievous body of fur up and off from her shoulders, setting him on the top of her cart. She lightly booped him, causing Hank to let out a little shriek. "No Hank. We need to sell hand muffs! It will help revolutionize how people warm their hands!"

Hank huffed at her, shoving his way between her arms and the surface of the cart to soak up her warmth. When he was comfortable enough, he curled up and pressed his face close to her body. Minnie giggled at Hank and carded a hand through his thick fur. "Aw, poor baby." She cooed down at him briefly, watching as he soaked up all of the attention before perking up and practically screaming when she saw people walking by her. "HAND MUFFS! BUY A HAND MUFF! IT WILL KEEP YOUR HANDS WARM AND YOUR FINGERS INTACT! MADE WITH REAL FUR!"

She watched as people either stared over in her direction confused or were speeding up to avoid interacting with her. Hank, sensing the oncoming urge to panic, moved his head and let out a loud scream.

Minnie paid him no mind as she zipped around her cart, holding up two different colored hand muffs that looked rather soft and fluffy. "Wait! Don't go! It's buy one get one! Buy one hand muff, get another one free! Buy one for your girl to keep her hands from getting chapped, give one to your mother to let her know that she's still special to you! Buy one for yourself, give one to your friend! Hand muffs are for anyone!" She fluttered around in the cold, waving the hand muffs. "Please buy one! Your hands will thank you!"

Dawn faded into day, which - as it always does - darkness into the purple haze of dusk. The Goddess had felt the stirrings of the mortal realm’s beings. The Humans were not her’s to guide, but still the mother of night watched with curiosity. She knew it was time, and was grateful to have already chosen those worthy of the duty she required.

Indeed, as she summoned the three Witches to her quiet realm, Rehena felt rather peaceful. Sure.

The eldest came first, a Witch for nearly four hundred mortal years. She moved with the same pride and assurance as any seasoned creature who still remained capable of putting those younger in their place, but in that confidence there was a wisdom nothing could deny. Rehena nodded in welcome as the elder bowed, the movement sure and smooth despite her many years.
12F04561-4926-456D-B397-9DBF44144E0C.jpeg

Goddess, I am honored by your summons.” The Witch straightened, waiting respectfully for the goddess to speak.

Rehena grinned from her seat upon the dais, her throne woven from vines and flowers of crystal glowing bright with her magic.

Welcome Valena,” Greeted the deity kindly. “The others should be here shortly.

As if summoned by the words, another portal opened, through which strode a young witch who appeared hardly more than twenty mortal years. In fact, she had lived for fifty, but the magic which flooded her blood had kept her young and beautiful to behold.

Upon seeing the Mother of Night, the mortal bent into a low bow, her movement graceful but rushed from excitement and nervous energy.

Ah, young Shaylen, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Eaethyr for the first time. Please, come forward.

The girl joined her elder near the bottom of the dais, the two mortals exchanging respectful, wordless greetings.

My Lady, I am deeply honored to be here,” she said, eyes wide with awe. “What could I have done to deserve such a gift?

Rehena smiled. “My child, it is less what you have done than it is what you have been chosen to do in my name. Have patience; I will make all clear when the last to be summoned arrives.

And then the third portal opened, revealing the third and final witch summoned to the Goddess of Night’s holy realm. She was tall, beautiful, and moved with such grace and ease that she appeared almost to glide across the glimmering glen towards the dais. To the other mortals, she gave polite nods of greeting, but to Rehena, she lowered herself effortlessly into a perfect, low bow that spoke of the near two hundred years she’d lived in service of the Night Goddess.

As she stood, she spoke.

Beloved Goddess, it is my deepest honor to be summoned to your realm once again. How might I serve you, my Lady?

Welcome, Vira. I trust you remember Shaylen and Valera?

Indeed, the two elder witches shared a fond look at one another, one having mentioned the other for many decades. Shaylen shyly nodded, her expression awed. She had spent three decades studying in Vira’s Coven, working under her as an acolyte before being accepted as a priestess at a temple in her homeland.

I do indeed, my Lady, and fondly.

Good, because I have a task that will bring the three of you quite close in the following years.” Rehena grinned.

It was these words that made each of the mortals’ faces twist into perplexed, curious expressions. Valera regarded her goddess with a calm curiosity.

Are we bring reassigned, My Lady?” Her tone was calm, but Rehena knew she had long been seeking a new post, ever since her last and final apprentice wad sent to serve as a priestess in the Northern territories.

The goddess nodded.

Yes, Valera. The three of you shall serve as my emissaries in the Human lands. Mawlock and I have decided it is time to create a place for every race and people, and that the humans shall serve as custodians to this city. He has asked that I appoint three priestesses to aid us in this goal. The three of you are to join the human Deborah in the human settlement in three days time, though I have heard their voices desiring your presence presently. I know this is a quick and difficult change, but I can think of no other witches better suited to be my representatives.

Vira, a High Priestess and quick truthfully the most respected and powerful witch in the mortal world, immediately appeared thoughtful. She had already begun making preparations for what needed to be done before leaving for the city, and would likely have everything ready by the following moonrise.

Shaylen was dumbfounded and appeared almost at a loss.

My Lady, I am but a child compared to these Priestesses…how can I serve you better than a witch as experienced and powerful as them?

Because you are kind, intelligent, and strive for excellence in all you do. Vira trained you well, and both she and Valera will be there to guide you should you need it.

Shaylen bowed. “I won’t fail you.

My Lady, I can journey directly to the human settlement and begin making preparations while my sisters order their affairs," offerer Valera. "Should that please you."

Rehena smiled knowingly.

"It would indeed. Lethexo will be waiting for you in the city, and I shall send your things ahead of you as well. You will find Deborah in the council chambers."

Three portals opened, one behind each mortal. They bowed once again to the goddess, said their partings to one another, and made their exits. Valera was the last to leave, turning to give the deity a smile that said “thank you” before disappearing into the human lands.

In response to Minnie's calls came a woman's voice, both silky and hoarse, like a cat's purr. "Did you say real fur? Now, what manner of creature did you kill to make it, hmm? Was it... fox?"

A woman wearing a short white dress, more close to a night gown than anything, leaned against the cart. How she got there was unclear; simply one moment she wasn't, and the next she was. Tied loosely around her shoulders was a red-speckled cloak much too big for her skinny frame. It billowed in the wind, fluffing up like the crossed wings of some avian creature.

Her feet were bare, along with most of her legs and arms, yet the snow seemed of little concern. What she was most focused on was the furry critter nestled around Minnie's neck.

Lechiku flashed a wolfish grin at the fox. "I hope you didn't waste the meat. Fox is quite delicious! It goes surprisingly well with rabbit and crow and sometimes adder. Add some river fish and you've got a feast~!"

On her breath was the powerful fragrance of wine, and her predatory eyes were more than a little dulled from the drink. She covered her giggle with a hand, seeming to enjoy her 'joke' a little too much. When she calmed down enough, she crouched in the snow, levelling her eyes with the mitts for sale.

Her yellow eyes wide, she inspected the curious hand-mitts, tilting her head from side to side. With a finger, she prodded one of the mittens and giggled. "Hehe. These keep your hands warm? Is that why frozen bodies have black hands? How wonderful!"

She jumped back up to her feet. "I'll take two! This one and...that one. Nechiku can get the ugly one."

Lorwen

Kianu's Realm, The Castle

It was difficult to maintain her smile when every fiber of her being was screaming at Lorwen to excuse herself from the conversation and make her way outside of the realm as fast as her feet could carry her. Unry, The Father of the Void and the Arbiter of Knowledge. With those titles there is little question that the starry being before me is a deity. Lorwen knew that it was highly likely that she would be encountering others of her kind while at this gathering and she had thought that she prepared herself for interacting with other deities but that was not the case. The goddess was still a bundle of nerves and disdain when in the presence of individuals of similar creation to herself. I will talk to this God for a while, then I will pardon myself using the excuse of helping the child, Dream's End. What an odd name for a child... Lorwen was perplexed by the strange name given to the white haired child but, she decided to ignore the oddity in favor of getting through the current conversation. Her lips parted in order to inquire Unry as to their reason for approaching, yet Dream spoke up before Lorwen could utter a sound.

"You are fine." Lorwen said with an honest smile as her gaze shifted to Dream's End. She did not truly mind the child's interruption since the white haired boy simply wished to know where their important person was and who better to ask than a God, especially one who claimed to have a title relating to Knowledge. I guess Dream lucked out here. The goddess noted after Unry gave their response to Dream's question, vaguely impressed yet mostly unsettled by the answer the starry being gave. Though, if this 'Mawlock' dwells in a place the alleged 'God of Knowledge' is unable to find, it may not be possible for me to help little Dream with his search for Vitis. Blue eyes settled upon the two boys hiding behind her skirt and a hand was placed gently upon Dream's head in an attempt to help comfort the boy. Normally, Lorwen would have said a few words as well, but the other white haired child, who looked very much like a humanoid dragon, was already consoling his friend. It was truly a heartwarming sight and Lorwen was reminded of her own children during their younger years.

The goddess had her gaze drawn away from the two children by Unry's last question and she was swiftly reminded that this was a social event. It would be seen as rude to ignore polite conversation regardless of whether or not the castle was currently hosting deities. Do I have any interests in mind? Is this God trying to ask if I have any plans for the World? Lorwen's smile altered once more, though this time it did become a frown as she furrowed her brows in confusion. Unry's question, wait no, the fragment of Unry's question was worded in an odd manner. No immediate answer came to Lorwen's mind as she tried to make sense of the meaning behind the starry being's words. Thankfully, before the conversation could lull into an uncomfortable silence, the dragon kid piped up with his own question to Unry's fragment. It was a truly odd question that nearly caused Lorwen to bring a hand to her lips in order to stifle her laugh from how sudden and random the child's question was. Why would a God think to eat a carpet? Was this the opening to some comedy skit? If so, it was admittedly good.

"I'm sure Unry does not eat-!" Blue eyes that had been filled with mirth from the dragon child's innocent question, quickly changed to surprise as someone wrapped their arm around Lorwen's form and brought her to their side. The goddess turned to regard the individual who had grabbed both herself and her attention. She was curious to see just who was bold enough to do something so daring. Lorwen's curiosity was quickly sated as a rather familiar man greeted her vision. Elyis. Lorwen felt some of her previous tension leave her as she leaned into the mortal, finding comfort in his contact. "I forgive you, darling." Lorwen understood the importance of family, so she would not bring up the white haired man's earlier decision to abandon her at a gathering of deities. Still, Elyis had never brought up his own family before in any of their previous conversations. I should ask him about that later. The goddess resolved as she parted her lips to answer her date's question. "You could say that..." Blue eyes flicked over to the two children. "These two boys are Dream's End," She gestured to the white haired child with a hand and then did the same for the dragon child. "And his friend. The robed individual is Unry."

“Oh well i Though unry eat carpet hmmm” Miko let out a little huff strange blue tail wagging behind him thoughtful. Then considering what Unry had said… if he didn’t know how to get there prehaps someone else would? Thoughts being again distracted by the new fellow that appeared. “Oh hi mister are you also here for the party to? you need a haircut“. Miko blurted out in that childish way he did. pulling Endy gently as the tiny dragon spotted the approach of a very fluffy god.

Zexzad made its way over to the little group mainly approaching miko and dreams end. “Are you both doing well little ones I couldn’t help but overhear a little predicament dreams end is in. Finding Vitis? Yes? Well I can assist if you would like, if the stag is going to mawlocks realm, well I’m sure I’d be far more welcome then they are. So what do you say shall we take a trip?” Zexzad asked in a friendly tone extending his arm towards the pair of smols.
“see Endy this is a good idea we should do it but I still wanna know if unry eats carpat“

Unry

"Well... I've never eaten a carpet... but Im certain it would make... a fine party trick... well, not this party though" Unry explained in a certainly amused tone, looking at all the other arriving to their once small and humble conversation as more individuals arrived notable Zexzad and Elyis a mortal with a sort of infamy in his name.

"It troubles me my words might've perhaps fallen under... misunderstanding... I know where Mawlock's realm is and even the many ways one might enter it... yet for what lies inside: every word, thought, and action remains unknown... and this lack of knowledge is making me or specifically Unry the God, very upset... especially with the arrival of Vitis, one for whom Unry has created uneasy ties... Thus if you wish to venture into Mawlocks realm be sure to make one's intentions clear else Unry's temper might further grow... unstable yes?" The Fragment of Unry explained rather seriously, "Oh but don't let my words concern you, I am but a fragment of Unry... but be aware when Unry reaches a certain level of distress, he might become a hazard of sorts..."

Unry's attention snapped to Elyis after giving the explanation,
"As for you, Unry is very much aware of your connection to Mawlock... and as such certain parts of you are hidden from him... pray share what little knowledge you may offer him... when you can of course... before Unry causes reckless and irreversible damage"

The fragment looked upon the rest of the people in the conversation,
"If you have no need of me I believe I should be on my way... unless you have any other request or question I can provide... do be aware my capabilities are far more limited than that of Unry's..."

Siivanth
1638688470692.png
Despite the fun the spider god has had, it was clear that she desired more. An insatiable hunger for the finer things, and her favored daughter would likely be the one to organize and create these moments of entertainment for her creator and parent. While it annoyed Siivanth to no end, Nyylathe's desire to satiate her insatiable took on the Spider's full attention. She ran to grab more food, more wine and more people to entertain and dance with the spider, but it was never enough. Never enough for one who desired more and more, and wanted nothing but to indulge herself in every experience she can possibly find. Though there were moments of rest for Siivanth, who managed to find solace whenever her mother decided to spend a bit too long savoring the flavor of a drink, or dance a little too much with a partner. In these moments, Siivanth closes her eyes, collects her thoughts and simply breathe deeply to steady herself before her mother called her again.

Though...Siivanth was...rather worried. It had been too long for her parent to appear in front of her and order for more entertainment. Siivanth opened her eyes and looked around for Nyylathe, only to see...nothing. Nothing but the patrons and people around her. She quickly began to run around, trying to find Nyylathe. Asking around for anyone who had seen a pale skinned, red-haired lady, but no one had seen one as of late! She continued to ask, but everyone seemed to have the same response and just as she was about to scream her lungs out in frustration, she had a revelation. Nyylathe is a literal, shapeshifting spider god...it is likely that she had decided to take a new form to either hide from Siivanth, or more likely, sneak out without the constant shadowing of her largest daughter. And now Siivanth needed to track her down before her mother does anything rash.

"By all that is..." Siivanth started, as she could feel all the stress and frustration leave her body, and is immediately replaced with an all consuming rage that caused her to suddenly lose control of her humanoid form. For a moment, Siivanth turned into something that was not spider nor human, but a monstrous amalgamation of the two as she lets out a frustrated, tired and angry scream that echoed through the halls of her creator's den and her home. Her rage mostly quelled, Siivanth simply took a breath and went to go find Nyylathe, where ever the Spider God may be.

Nyylathe & Zir
1638688497649.png

The great spider god, had indeed taken on a new form. And she had snuck out of that droll event and desired to to entertain herself for now. Her new form can be considered an inverse of her original disguise. Her red hair had been replaced by black curls and her black outfit had been changed to one of a crimson hue. She had even decided to take on a new persona, one that she desired to test out and test out soon as she saw a new and intriguing individual. A blue skinned man with a godly aura emanating from their body drew her in like a fruit fly towards a bustle of ripened apples.

When she was within earshot of the blue skinned man, Nyylathe suddenly lets out a dainty sigh, as she "faints" onto the ground, pretending to have been overcome by the cold of Kianu's realm.

Their hand held their head in their hands, trying desperately to make sense of what was going on. So many memories flashed across their mind that he felt like he could no longer breathe.

They were struggling to breathe as their head swam. Vitis said he wouldn't leave him, why would he leave him? Did he do something wrong? Were they just a burden? Did Vitis finally realize how evil End truly was a left him? How could he survive without Vitis? They were all he had. He couldn't do this, they couldn't be alone. Without Vitis, how could he ever hope to become a good god? They gripped their head, almost tearing out their hair as he struggling, trying to rip the thoughts out with the hair.

Shakily he looked back up at Unry, having heard almost nothing else the god had said since he spoke of Vitis' whereabouts. He spoke with a tone of anger and desperation, "Y-you're lying to one! Vitis would never leave this one! You're lying! Tell this one where he is now!" he shouted out, his voice loud as he looked at Unry angrily. He felt something swirl in his stomach at his anger, it felt pleasant as it spread over his body. As it did so they felt their anger increase radically, hitting them hard with the urge to kill the other's around him.

Elyis looked at the respective gods when Lorwen 'introduced' them. He was especially aware of who Dream's End was. "I see," he responded. Elyis' tone had no enthusiasm or warmth. He wasn't going to cause a scene about it, but it was clear he wasn't fond of any of the people around him and his date. The arrival of Zexzad was no surprise. He seemed like the type drawn to crowds. For the sake of his date, Elyis hoped Zexzad wouldn't cause any shenanigans before he could spend some time with Lorwen. To his dismay, Zexzad and Unry made mention of Mawlock and Vitis and all the other nonsense similar to what Agapi had approached him with.

'So much for having a pleasant date.'

Before Elyis could address either in an attempt to keep everyone at ease about the entire ordeal, Dream's End began to panic. Elyis left Lorwen's side to step forward and take a knee by the small god, getting down to his level. He gently pulled the boy to face him, putting both of his hands on either side of Dream's head so they could maintain eye contact. "Hey, remember when you weren't feeling good about yourself? And Vitis helped you feel better? Well Mawlock hasn't been feeling good about himself either, and Vitis got very worried when they found out, so Vitis just went to go help him the way they helped you." His tone was gentle and full of care as he spoke. "It's very important that they have their time alone so Vitis can help Mawlock as much as they can."

End felt the urge to hurt the person who touched him, someone who they did not know. But when they began to discuss Vitis again End felt some of his rage dribble away. He still felt uncomfortable with the person but nodded along to him, ”so Vitis didn’t leave this one right?” he added hopefully, the swirling feeling inside himself settling down to almost nonexistent. They didn’t bother to think about how they almost missed the feeling of it.

“No, Vitis didn’t leave you. They had to go help someone else for a bit.” He stood back up, letting go of End. “You should go find Agapi. She misses Vitis too, and once I’m done here the three of us can go see Vitis together. Mawlock won’t let anyone in his home right now, but he’ll let me in. Does that sound good?”

End nodded for a moment, now free of the hands, they returned to clutching the skirt of the woman from earlier. “Who is Agapi? Are they another one of Vitis’ friends?” he asked in a now more calm voice.

“She- well, think of her as a daughter of Vitis.” Elyis couldn’t think of a less complicated way to explain who Agapi was. “She is very important to Vitis, just like you. If you go with this fragment of Unry, he should be able to take you to her.”

End nodded again, not really understanding it but going with it anyway. Weren’t children the things that mortals had? Would they also look like a stag? “Okay let's go get her then so we can see Vitis!” he spoke with his childlike happiness returning once again.

“Here, Unry’s fragment will take you to her,” he guided End to the side of the fragment of Unry. “I have to spend time with Lorwen before I can go,” Elyis explained.

End nodded happily, “okay! Just make sure you hurry so we can see Vitis soon!” they spoke before going along with Unry’s fragment.

Elyis looked to Zexzad briefly, "it may be best that we allow Vitis and Mawlock to handle things between each other before we interfere. It's no secret that their relationship isn't the greatest. I'll be sure to let you know when the time is right."

Minnie

Interactions: Lechiku

Minnie whipped around to see a beautiful woman and her face lit up when she heard her words. "Potential customer!" She cheered before offering the variety in her hands to the woman. "The ones on my left are quite light and are made from rabbit hide. Normally they are marketed towards children or those with delicate hands." She rambled excitedly.

"Now the ones in my hands are made from fox hides. These ones specifically are designed to keep the hands smooth, and if you press on the button it will activate the heating pack to warm your hands." Minnie motioned to the yellow button on the hand muff in her left hand.

"And then the ones on my right are made from wolf hide. They are heavy enough to keep your hands warm but are light enough to carry around. They also have the yellow button to activate the heating pack. I have others in my cart if you are interested in a different hand muff." She motioned to her cart where Hank was currently brooding, waiting impatiently for his girl to walk back to the cart. "I didn't kill any animals in the making of these hand muffs, but your idea of a feast does sound delightful."

Minnie smiled patiently at the woman as she waited for her to make a decision, paying no mind to the concerning tidbit of corpses. Though when she heard the words "I'll take two" she perked up. "Wonderful! Which ones would you like? Rabbit, Fox, Wolf, Bear, Weasel, Ferret, Lion, Stag, Polar Bear, Leopard, Snow Leopard, Tiger, Cheetah, and a couple of others as well. Which ones would you like?"

Lechiku giggled as Minnie explained the strange enhancement to the muffs. "Smooth hands? Why would they need that? What's a heating pad? Can you eat it? That's a button?"

She inspected the mitten closely, turning it over in her hands to find the yellow button. Just as Minnie had demonstrated, she clicked it with a finger and waited impatiently. She held the mitt against her cheek, feeling the subtle warmth even from outside, then stuck her hand in curiously.

    "Magic muffs! Magic god muffins!"
she cried, her yellow eyes wide and childish.

With the muff still on her hand, she turned it over, checking every detail of it for some hint behind the mysterious button. She looked completely sold until Minnie mentioned the source of fur.

A frown covered her face, offended and confused after being informed that no animals were harmed in the making of the mittens. "No animals were killed? What's the point of fur without killing something? Gods are no fun. All work no... *hic*...FUN."

Still, the muffs were too funny to pass up. If she played it right, she could even trick Nechiku with them somehow. The only difficulty was choosing just one. At one point or another, she had tasted each of the creatures listed. They all held a special place in her heart and stomach, yet in the end there was only one obvious choice.

With a devilish grin, Lechiku pointed dramatically at the 'stag' fur mittens. "That one... I want the stag muffins! Nechiku can have the... bear. It will match her ugly black feathers, heh~"

Unry

"Oh dear, it seems I've been given a most important duty..." The fragment spoke looking down at Dream's End, "As a Fragment I am limited... but I should still be able to send you to Mawlock's realm... or at least the very entrance... although" The fragment raised it's sights up, for a second it appeared to shake, the stars that formed it's simple smile disappeared dropping small star dust with them

"Very well then... Give the word and I shall send you to Mawlock, However, I shall also accompany you and acts as Unry's Eyes and Ears, such a trip should put his mind at ease" From the fragments being did two arms appear frail and thin like bones yet moving with an unshakable confidence. Both arms raised up untop of the fragments head clapping each other shut, slowly molding with each other the dark texture of the arms slowly dissipating into a bright white as the arms finally melded into a star hovering on its head. "Ah... Sight and sound... such a weird thing to be experiencing first hand... If you are worried for what this might be, do not, for it is simply my eyes and ears, for the meantime at least" The fragment explained it's gaze moving to face End as the star slowly orbited around the Fragments head.

"Now... do you still wish to wait for Elyis and the others?" The fragment asked to End.

Zexzad hummed a little at the words of the other entity that was dating another of the rarer gods "oh well sir I suppose your right I do still worry for mawlock though Vitis perhaps needed to be a bit less persistent with such things" Zexzad commented allowing them to leave with a cheerful wave and looking down at Miko as the shard of unry spoke to dreams end... zexzad was concerned for the health of the young one considering they were not a divine at all. "hmmm well Miko I think it would be far safer if you stuck closer to me for now this is more of an adults matter" Zexzad would say gently picking up Miko who frowned a little bit.
miko would nod sadly giving endy a little wave. "ok endy ill see you later then friend hope everything goes well" miko would say before pausing and giving his friend one more hug very tightly and wandering off with zexzand.

1639492387835.pngEnd found himself distracted from the fragment speaking to him, following Elyis and Lorwen as they moved together. Elyis' time with Lorwen seemed to be something akin to a hangout. End frowned, how could this be something more important than finding Vitis? End watched them dance without a sign of stopping and let out an angry huff before turning to the fragment,

"Why does no one understand? One wants to find Vitis, one doesn't want to be at this foolish party," they whined in annoyance. They did not want to wait for whatever Elyis was doing to leave, at the fragment's words End perked up. Could he really just leave without saying anything? They thought about it for a moment before letting out a sigh. There was that other friend of Vitis that wanted to go as well, the least that he could do was take her with them.

"Okay let us go find the one known as Agapi and then we leave without him," he spoke, pointing at the couple with puffed-out cheeks, "you can take this one to her right?" he asked, slightly unsure for a moment. Maybe Agapi would understand that he wants to leave and would help them rush this along, after all, she was Vitis' daughter thing, she must care about him.

The fragment didn't flinch and remained almost still until End finally issued the request to travel to Agapi, "It's no problem... though I hope you're ready for potential nausea... with that body of yours" The fragment explained.

In an instant a dark orb appeared in between the fragment and End. Without warning End and the fragment were dragged into it free falling into nothingness as the light the reached their eyes slowly collapsed before finally and abruptly they both stood next to Agapi with the other Fragment that waited patiently for Agapi's response. The orb within the party likewise consumed itself and removing itself from the area.

The other Fragment turned it's head towards End and the Fragment hesitating before dissipating back into Unry, it was no longer needed. "Here we are, I might say we could've simply walked outside the palace but... time is not something you wish to waste it seems"

Buras & Sindri
Buras looked over at Paleros as they asked him a question, a wistful smile on his face over the fact that he now had a daughter of sorts. "I'm feeling in a creative mood. Though, nothing quite like Sindri. A bit less, but just as helpful to me. I have so many conflicting obligations, it would to much to have some advisors, as any good king should have." As he spoke, he created three more beings. A scarred, frail looking man that had the hint of a smile at all times was the first to appear. Next was a woman that shone as bright as the sun, yet when observed directly was as dark as the void, her demeanor was that of a queen upon her throne though no throne existed. And lastly was an all to mortal looking figure, clad in full armor, wielding a sword and a crown upon his brow. "These shall be my aspects and advisors. Fellanjod, of the moon, you shall remind my dour counterpart that not all things are as gloomy as he'd like them to be. Freyllnjod, of the sun, you shall keep me focused whatever task is at hand. I know full well how excitable I can be. And lastly, Begirund, of Kings. Your duty will take you among the mortals than of gods, for it shall be you that will be the pinnacle of what a good king shall be. Now off with you, you have been given your tasks." And just like that, the newly created aspects, less than a god yet more than a mortal, vanished to assumedly do what their maker told them.

Sindri, for her part, was eagerly looking around and examining the universe she had been birthed into. She wanted to run off, to explore as she pleased. But at the same time she was nervous of the unknown. She was all of a few minutes old, after all. And though the prospect of finding something new was exciting, the comfort and safety of the familiar kept her hopping from foot to foot in one spot.

Agapi, Unry (fragment) and Dream's End
collab with: seasonedcat seasonedcat & Solirus Solirus || mention Tetro Tetro
The two's sudden appearance caught Agapi by surprise, causing her to flinch and gasp softly. She placed a hand on her chest to comfort herself and took a breath. "Dream's End? And another Unry fragment. Greetings to you both. Forgive me, I was lost in thought."

Agapi regained her composure, determined not to let her emotions bring the child any discomfort. His hope for Vitis already hung on a delicate thread.

“For simplicity's sake, call me fragment” the fragment explained the shining eye tilting forward at Agapi, “we should not loiter, I don’t believe End or Unry have everlasting patience with current circumstances”

“You are the one that they call Agapi right? You are the one that they call Vitis’ daughter?” End spoke with a spark of happiness in his eyes. Without thinking he had grabbed her hand as he spoke to her.

Agapi tried not to flinch as the boy grabbed her hand, but the crawling sensation along her skin was too much to bear. There were only so many memories a reincarnation could erase. All she could feel was the twisting black seeping into her veins.

Without thinking, she pulled her hand away from the child’s grasp, much to both his and her own surprise. She immediately regretted it and quickly tried to comfort the child. “Forgive me, I do not feel quite myself. You are correct, I am Agapi, though daughter is an oversimplification. Before becoming an anointed god I was a servant of Vitis and Mawlock alike. Still, for lack of a better term I suppose that makes us siblings. It is a pleasure to finally meet you.”

End frowned at Agapi removing her hand, but brushed it off, “You are coming with this one to find Vitis right?” they spoke excitedly, they could leave as soon as she agreed to.

Agapi nodded, a troubled look on her face. “Yes, I… I have decided to favour haste. For Vitis, and for Mawlock. Though by link to either is hardly enough to make assumptions, I can feel a... disruption. It puts me ill at ease. My brother urges me to wait, yet I do not intend to flee across the stars in a raft of my own making.”

She turned to Unry's proxy, a steeled look on her face. “We are ready to enter the realm"

Without a word the fragment nodded, a large orb materializing behind it swiftly dashing forwards, enveloping the three of them in an instant. Space bended and curved before folding open to reveal their arrival into the entrance of Mawlock’s Realm

The moment they emerged, a wave of nausea overcame Agapi. Her senses were flooded with the scent of rotten leaves, fresh grain, and spilt blood. The essence of Life and Rebirth had drenched this land of fire, hanging heavy in the air. She covered her mouth with a hand, “Something is wrong… do you sense it too?”

She looked at Dream’s End, who shared as much of a bond as she did to the stag. No, much stronger. While she remained a child, it was in title alone. Why else would the stag have offered her previous life as a host for the war god. A part of her wanted to hate him, but she could not find it in her heart. It was only the nature of the god, one that he did not control. All she could see was an unsure child missing their parent.

Agapi took a deep breath before turning to face the others. “Dream’s End, Unry, let us stay together. Father is… his situation is deeply unstable. I fear the sickness of his mind only grows. Even now I can feel it, festering like a neglected wound. He means well, in his heart, but a great sadness blinds him.”

Pushing past the fear, Agapi knelt beside Dream’s End so their eyes were level and placed her hands on either of his shoulders. He was so small, and frail despite the godly power overflowing from him. “We will find Vitis Gurthu together, and when we do I am sure the stag will be proud to see how brave you have been"

She held out her hand with a smile, offering it to the child-god.

End’s face flushed from the complement, and for a moment a wide smile flashed on their face as he put his small hand in hers, “One is ready to go!” he spoke out with a confident face. He couldn’t wait to see Vitis again, and for once, be able to help them like they had helped them so many times.

“Then let us be about it” The fragment spoke, moving further towards the realm, the giant eye above him keeping close.

The three of them walked forward into the shadow of Mawlock’s castle, Agapi and Dream’s End linked by hand and the fragment trailing behind.

  • Mawlock remained still on his throne, staring down at the harvest god while slouched in his chair, one side leaning more against the armrest of his chair than the other. He took in a deep breath, smelling the ever-familiar fragrance of fresh leaves and rotten wood that permeated the air from the presence of Vitis. He held it in for just a moment before letting out a long and slow sigh. Mawlock carefully pushed himself up, stepping out of his throne and taking a few steps towards Vitis.

"Of all the gods to speak of vice. The hypocrisy simply never ends with you. The insufferable nature of the others can be excused, overlooked, or even forgiven. They're young, and all they know is what they were born from. But unlike you, they know not to overstep. They keep their idiotic opinions to themselves and mind their own business." Mawlock continued walking, standing face to face with Vitis Gurthu.

The stag dipped their head, almost patiently, “The distinction one speaks of is the capacity to ruminate on harsh truths, when ignorance becomes most pleasant. This one sees the stormy horizon with eyes unclouded, not the sun soaked soil beneath.”

“Aren’t you at all curious as to why, despite this danger you speak of, no one is here but you?” He gestured around to the empty room. “I put the god of sleep inside of a small box. I turned a lesser god into a crystal statue and sent the corpse off as a gift.” He circled Vitis while he spoke, his hands behind his back. “And yet, no one else is here but you. No one sees this danger you speak of, but you.” He stopped when he reached the front of Vitis, taking a few steps back.

“You came here to kill me. I’m aware of this. Give it a shot.” He held out his arms, staring at Vitis and waiting for them to make a move.

“Perhaps, then, this one shares much in common with thee; fools who overstep, forsaken under the gaze of brother and sister. Hypocrisy indeed.” Vitis Gurthu tilted their head curiously, as if only noticing something now. “Hmm. This one is curious, does one fear death, dear brother? To see everything once loved, turn to earth. Do those seeds of fear grow wild at the thought of maggots squirming beneath perfect flesh? Every step, doubt, madness, distrust?”

“This one harbours no such sentiment.” Between their parted jaws, sharpened fangs glinted in the light. The shadows around the stag’s eyes deepend, their face sinking, receding until white bone replaced flesh. Ribs shone through thin skin, and twisted bones protruded from their mane and spine. Crows and carrion bugs swarmed from the black hide of the beast, and their eyes were pinpricks of light inside empty sockets.

“Does one know what becomes of life that has outlived its purpose? Meaninglessness. Vice.” The swarm of carrion bugs grew thick, enough for the stag to disappear within it. Their voice echoed from all directions. “Why shroud it, brother? Surrender it to the scythe, so it may bleed off impurities to the soil and rise once more.”

A pair of boney, black claws stretched out from the swarm, and an antlered skull followed. Vitis GurtHu’s mismatched fangs sought the nape of a neck, and from their wound would spread decay, and the inhibiting toxin of godly wine.

Their limbs bent at impossible angles, spindly claws digging towards Mawlock’s chest, seeking to rip out a heart. Their voice was eerily unchanged, as calm and still as it had always been, “Oh Vice, where does one hide? Is one still tied to the wild child?”

“I AM LIFE!” Mawlock’s voice, once smooth and temperate, deepened and warped into one with an otherworldly tone. The god reached out, grabbing onto the head of Vitis as they threatened their neck, holding them at bay just for their claws to strike at his chest. As the claws scratched and attempted to tear into him, he took a step forward to get some leverage, keeping a firm grip on the head of the stag.

“You will do well to remember your place, dear sister.” Mawlock heaved Vitis off to the side, throwing them into one of the massive marble pillars. He lunged forward, reeling back before striking down at Vitis with his fist, aiming for the head of the stag.

Vitis collided with the pillar, spreading a bloom of cracks overflowing with mushrooms and tangled vines. Where they slid down, a slick trail of fragrant red wine was left. The stag was quick to return to their stance, like a puppet whose strings were pulled. If they felt any pain, they made no sound.

They were completely still as the punch came, save for a single movement of their head to the side. Like a viper they twisted, their jaws fixing around Mawlock’s arm. Instead of their skull, an antler took the hit, splitting a branch of it from its base. Where it fell, it became a swarm of black worms.

“Remind this one, brother, who determines ‘place’? Is it the one that sits on a hollow throne, surrounded by helpless creatures of one’s design? A toothless hunter of offspring? Or the spineless worm that hides behind a fractured mask of fire?” The stag spoke from within, their fangs digging into Divine flesh. Two pricks of lights glittered in their hollow sockets, “One has changed, grows weak. One is unaware of one’s own affliction. The dark has made one blind.”

Mawlock stood still as Vitis bit down on his arm, piercing his form. “I am Life, and my place is at the start of the cycle,” he grabbed onto the already damaged antler of Vitis with his free hand, firmly gripping it before jerking it to the side and snapping it off. “YOU ARE AT THE BOTTOM!” He stabbed the antler into the eye socket of Vitis, driving it in deep as he seethed in both pain and fury. Ambrosia dripped from his arm, mixing with the wine on the floor that spilled from Vitis.

“You have meddled in my domains for the last time, Vitis Gurthu! He tore himself away from the jaws of Vitis, allowing his arm to be removed from his form with a sickening tear, and remain in the mouth of his opponent. His golden blood spilled freely from his wound, glowing brightly in the dark room. “You are not Life!”

Mawlock threw a straight punch right into the face of Vitis. There was a sharp snap of bone. Cracks spread along the stag’s skull, leaking with flowers and black seeds. Wine fell like a waterfall from their impaled eye.

“You are not Balance!” He reeled back and punched again. “You are not Order!” He threw himself at them, body slamming Vitis back into the pillar once more.

The impact caused the stone to cave in and crumble like dry leaves. Perfect, divine bones crumbled too, and the air was alive with honey and wine and rot. Vitis Gurthu was pinned, thrown upon the pillar and broken. “Balance… Order… Life… such bleak polarity… there is no end… no beginning… only a cycle…this one is so”

Golden blood slipped between the sharp claws protruding from Mawlock’s back. His own force used against him, they lay embedded through his chest, cleaving bone and flesh to leave the heart bear. With a twist, they clamped down upon the beating thing and tore it cleanly out. The stag lifted it with a broken arm and cast it a look of faint disappointment, letting it turn to rot. “Hmm… not here? Oh, little Vice, where does one hide?”

A putrid rot began to spread from the wound, a sickness within the blood as one whom has partaken of too much wine.

“S..H..O..W….T..H..Y..S..E..L..F” The stag’s mind invaded that of Mawlock, like a second pair of invisible claws. Unlike the previous attempt, they knew what to look for, what it felt like, where it hid. They would drag it out, bloody and raw, “F..E..S..T..E..R..I..N..G….W..O..R..M…”

As the word worm was finished being spoken, the world around Vitis grew still. The light dimmed and the god was left in darkness, alone and unable to move, unable to speak. The insidious entity that had tried to pull them into the abyss the last time they entered the mind of Mawlock revealed itself in the form of the stag, mirroring the god.

“Little Vice? Festering worm? Is that what I am? Are those my names?” The voice was deep, but smooth and cool. Its words came forth from the unmoving mouth of the shape. It laughed a hideous and shrill laugh. “Don’t worry, I won’t try to consume you or anything. You still have some use. I can’t face the others. Not yet. Time is short.”

The stag melted into a puddle of blackness, fading into the surrounding darkness. “You’ve done well Vitis,” its voice echoed all around the god. “I thought putting Sigh in that little box would do the trick. Unfortunately, I overestimated how much the other gods care about one another. Self-centered little shits you all are. Lucky me you’re the only god bold enough to try to act as the authority over another god’s domains. Well, I’ve shown myself to you. I hope it was worth it.”

Two grey-skinned, sharp-nailed, scraggly hands reached out from the darkness, followed by two disgustingly and equally scraggly long arms, stretching slowly until one hand wrapped around the neck of Vitis and forced them to open their mouth. “If it’s all the same, I think you’re the better parent.” The other hand reached inside of the god.

Vitis would feel their heart being grabbed, and a sensation of sickness would overwhelm them. Paranoia, uncertainty, anxiety, panic, all of these emotions became a part of their very being. The weight of it all clung to Vitis’ heart as the arm pulled itself out of Vitis. The darkness around Vitis poured into their mouth, still held agape, and flooded their mind with horrid visions.

Mawlock pulled away from Vitis, forcing them from his mind. With one hand he grabbed onto the last antler of Vitis, breaking it off just as he did the last, but this time jamming it into their neck. He stumbled away from Vitis, his vision becoming hazy and his footing feeling uneven.

The stag lay in a pool of red and gold, sides rising and falling at ragged intervals. Wine and black ichor bubbled from their neck, shivering with every hoarse cough from the god. Weakly, a claw hooked around the fractured antler and tugged.

A gush of divine blood poured out onto the growing pool. Vitis Gurthu shuddered and hacked, tapering off into a wheeze. Slowly, claws became hooves, and bone gave way to flesh. Only one starry eye returned, the other still home to a jagged shard of horn.

Starting from their neck, crimson flowers erupted from every wound, spreading out until the bloody pool was changed into a bed of petals and blossoms and golden fruit and grain.

With little strength left, the stag remained upon the ground, clinging to consciousness and life. Their good eye was closed, their mind filled with whispers of war and void, of storm and chaos.

Exhausted, Mawlock stumbled forward, barely able to stand straight. He looked down at Vitis and smiled a cruel smile. He had won. He could finally be at peace. Mawlock reached down to grab at Vitis but stopped short. His smile faded as he stared at his sibling, studying the features of their form. He slumped down to the floor, the exhaustion and weariness finally hitting him as he looked at his missing arm and felt around the hole in his chest. He remained seated in front of Vitis, breathing slow ragged breaths as the two remained alone in the darkness together.

“Remember when the world began to crack and fall into the void? We were the only ones to do something about it.” He dragged himself along the floor, leaning against the remnant of the marble pillar beside Vitis. “Sometimes it feels to me like we’re the only two that really seem to care. Maybe because of who we are. Or, what we are.”

He turned his head to look at Vitis, “you know I made those other races for you… for everyone. I saw the beauty you all brought to my world. To OUR world. I felt like we were all coming together to make something wonderful.” He turned away, staring at the blossoms and grain and fruit all around them. “But you just had to take one of my humans…” He pulled himself up, standing before grabbing onto the head of Vitis. “After all I’ve done for you, this is how you show your gratitude. You meddle in my affairs and act as if you have any authority over my domains. You violate one of MY humans.” He dragged Vitis across the floor as he walked, kicking open the door and moving through the hall.

He came upon a room, letting go of Vitis just long enough to open the door before grabbing onto them and dragging them in. All through the room were empty stands, waiting to be occupied by objects. At the far end of the room was the bed of Sigh on display. “You make things grow, recycle what is left after life has left a vessel, and help others have a fun time at parties. That is your place, those are your roles.” Two large hooks attached to chains lowered from the ceiling. Mawlock lifted the body of Vitis up and slammed them onto the hooks, letting them impale deep into their fellow god. “And until you understand that, you get to remain here as a reminder to any who think they have the right to step out of their bounds and into mine.” The chains pulled Vitis towards one of the displays, raising them high up and hanging them in the air. Mawlock looked at the bed, then Vitis, “to think I’d have to do this to two of my little siblings. So obsessed with your own views you both lacked the ability to be reasonable.” He turned and left Vitis, closing the door behind him.

A hush passed over the room, save for the steady plop of crimson against stone tile. In the darkness, the stag’s eye opened, glimmering like a lonesome star.
