"'Atta girl," Vasser replied to the robot, shooting her a glance and a playful wink.

Then, Vasser answered Jordan's question, his eyes moving to look to the upper right in thought. "Some of them, sure. Each one is a different style, a different theme. I have to say, the materials acquirement had a field day with this batch. The research team described one power as a 'human artillery shell?' The suit we made is better at dealing with friction than a commercial airplane."

"Another one was emitting gamma rays. Apparently, it's not a huge problem for the cape involved since their power makes 'em immune to all gamma rays emitted by their power. But still, you can't interact with people in a suit that's soaked with cancer. Do you know how hard it is to find a flexible material that simultaneously doesn't absorb electromagnetic wave radiation, but also lets the waves through? Lead, with some adjustments, can do it well, but it's heavy. And we can't do heavy because heavy means slow and slow means Squealer drives over you and turns you into a radioactive pancake."

Schuurman cleared his throat exaggeratedly, drawing attention. "Yes, Mr. Vasser. Thank you for the... uh... explanation. May we retrieve the suits?"

"Please do," he said. He pointed at the suits. "They're marked in the order the eggheads tested your powers in, with the power names on the front."

Schuurman looked at James. The Disruption Field was the first power they tested after he signed the contract with the EPR. He motioned with a hand, inviting the capes to proceed in an orderly fashion.

Eshe Bryke

When Eshe slowly walked up to the bag with his power plastered on it, he was a bit nervous to say the least. This is the clothes he would wear not only in public, but for most of his career. He slowly unzipped it, immediately introduced to flecks of yellowish gold along with black stretchy material. His fears of spandex was thrown out the window because this material was much different. It felt like a bullet proof vest but instead it was light and maneuverable. It had shiny pieces in it too but he didnt have time to really look at it closely, but instead he pulled it out for a full view.

Needless to say it wasnt the worst thing he's seen the armor on the chest and leg areas was a tone down yellow, and by the feel of it, it was sturdy. In fact, he actually really liked it. He couldnt admit it but if he had to say anything about his feelings towards this, it was pretty cool. He had always liked the idea of a badass super hero that didnt look like a three year old went crazy with crayons. I mean, it still had some pretty bright colors but it was limited at least. It complimented it even.

Just because Eshe could, he slowly turned himself ghostly, and walked into the suit. It was a bit tight, but that was most likely the fast he still had his clothes he wore here still on. And he was right about the weight, it self like he was wearing a wet suit when in reality it was life saving armor. The gloves fit well around his knuckles, padding in the fingers giving a cushioning feeling, and the boots felt like they were made for him. He could help but smile a bit at this feeling. Maybe he didnt hate Vassor as much as he thought.

James Holdem
James nods at Vasser as he goes to retrieve his costume. Honestly his costume was a very basic one due to the fact that normally his powers weren't as flashy as everyone else's. Which didn't mean it was a lesser quality one tough, his costume design was a purple bodysuit, padded with armor pads. The armor pads were all locate in areas such that their darker color contrasted well with the base bodysuit's lighter purple. It also Gave him a combat vest for his torso, a very stylized one tough, and a purple helmet with a darkened visor.

James felt a little ridiculous with his costume in hand. More like a cosplayer than an actual superhero. It's not that the costume wasn't up to snuff, but rather that he simply didn't have the level of oomph everyone else had. He was a very good counter against other capes, but that was it, with no capes around he wasn't anything more than glorified normal guy.

Of course he wouldn't let any of it show. James walks out to were Vasser was a smile in his face and with his costume in hand. " The costume looks great. I hope it works that way too." James would tell Vasser with a slight chuckle.

Jordan felt better as she listened to Vasser describe the power backing to the costumes, especially her costume which apparently was better at handling speeds than a commercial airplane. 'Hopefully, it can survive a crash like one,' Jordan thought to herself as she went down the lines of bags before coming up her hers with the label, 'Human Altier shell.' Jordan carefully opened the bag as she tapped her foot against the ground. She pulled out the costume and did a once over for checks.

Her suit was mostly black with some brown-colored linings over her hip, along with brown coloring where the hands and legs go. The suit overall wasn't as bulky as she had expected. It still had the paddings in place over her body but did allow her a lot of mobility as she had asked for. The rest of her costume was in maneuverable pieces so they could be removed and placed on with ease. She had her gauntlet which where a color of light brown and black accents to where she assumed the compartments where and buttons of sorts. Her shoes were pretty heavy as she could tell. They where black boots with metal slightly covering the bottom, along with the front and back, for heavier attacks. Last of all was her helmet that covered most of her face. Jordan placed this on her head as she looked around. It was more high-tech then armored so she won't be needing to go between maps on her phone.

Later that afternoon...

Schuurman led the hero team into a sterile white room, with white rectangular lamps stretching across the ceiling. In the corner of the room, there was a small metallic barrier with several buttons behind it. "This is the training room," Victor explained. "Here, you can spar with each other in your free time. For physical exercise, use the gym instead."

He clapped his hands together loudly, sighing exasperatedly. "That would be it for the tour of the EPR facilities. Any questions? Anyone who wants to spar?"

Because everyone kind of stopped posting, I allowed myself for this.

Serana Wildes

(One day prior)
A little blue motorcycle was pulled far over onto the side of a highway, kickstand out. The rider herself was leaning against it, breathing slowly with her helmet in her hands and her head resting on her knees. Serana was shivering almost violently, and stayed that way for several minutes. She dug her phone out of her pocket with a shaking hand and called her brother.
'Hey... no, not really, no... No, it's not my arm, it's not getting worse, I'm really, well, okay so you know how that suburban rink has public freeskates on Saturdays? And I didn't want to try to rent out a whole rink for--I'm getting there--okay...so I got on the highway and suddenly there was so much noise, I... No, not normal noise, it's like its... I don't... I really don't know how to describe it. I... no, it's not the painkillers... yeah. I think I can get back home? I... okay, I'll wait.'
A half hour later, her brother arrived in an SUV. They set down the back seats and managed to fit the motorcycle in, and then immediately began the drive back to Serana's apartment.
'You're sure it's not painkillers? They can make people feel spacey. Honestly... you probably shouldn't have been driving yourself.'
'It wasn't spacey, not at all. Like something in my head, it-it felt hyperawa-WAIT, BRAKE!'
Serana suddenly jumped in her seat. 'Brakebrakebrakebrakebrake!'
Mostly from surprise, her brother slowed the car. Three seconds later, the vehicle in front of them came to a shockingly sudden stop, and their own car avoided collision by only a couple of feet.
'Okay, that's creepy, how'd you--'
'I really don't know,'
Serana squeaked.
After an hour of traffic being redirected around the accident--the one literally two feet in front of them, they made it to Serana's apartment. A lengthy and worried conversation about 'Oh my god, it's gone now. It's silent. Totally silent.' led them to make a nervous call to the EPR.

The day after, a little blue motorcycle very, very carefully arrived at the EPR building. Serana didn't remove her helmet until she had gotten inside, and even then she had a surgical mask on to hide at least part of her face. She approached one of the people at the front desk who wasn't otherwise occupied with people, she was all but shaking. When she spoke it was quiet and high-pitched.
'Hi, I, I, um, I called yesterday, for--for help? Because I, I think I might... um, I might be parahuman? Is there someone here who can help?' Only after she asked did Serana realize how stupid it was to question whether or not the emergency parahuman response had someone who could help.

Instantly, as soon as Serana said those words, a nearby EPR trooper suddenly lunged onto the floor and screamed as loudly as he possibly could, holding onto his knee from some injury.

Another EPR trooper hastily approached him to help, while the receptionist, a woman in her early thirties, quickly took Serana's hand and led her to the back room behind the main hall where this commotion took place. It was a ruse to take people's attention away from what was really going on.

The room was a small, empty office space. The receptionist hastily closed the wooden door behind them, then faced Serana.

"Serana Wildes, yes? We were expecting you," the receptionist explained, beginning to smile. She walked across the room, opened a cabinet and rummaged through it for a moment, then took out some files from it and looked through them. Finally finding what she was looking for, she took a single paper and a black object in her hands and held them, closing the cabinet. She looked at Serana with a smile.

The receptionist gave her a domino mask that created a distortion forcefield to conceal the user's face. "Please, wear this. A surgical mask isn't as good as you think at protecting one's identity."

"Next time, please, give us a heads up," the receptionist said in a gentle tone. "The identities of parahumans are very confidential information, and we don't know who's in the crowd. Of course, the hall is monitored, but you can never be too safe. We owe it to Private Stuart's timely melodrama that someone might not know what you look like."

The receptionist huffed out in relief. "Well, what matters is that you meet the Director as soon as possible. I'll give him a call in a moment. Please, take the elevator to the seventh floor, then walk down the hallway to the last door on the right. That's the Director's office. Ah - knock before you enter, too."

The director's phone rang. He reached into his pocket and took it out a second later. Click. "Yes?"

"Mh. Mhm. Alright, I'll be there." Click.

He turned to the capes, phone still in hand. He began to walk in the direction of the elevator, but kept facing them as he did. "Well, I have to get going. You all get to know each other and if anyone has questions, please contact the Deputy Director."

Serana Wildes

Something in the back of her mind had alarmed her, but all the same Serana jumped when the man collapsed. She was, however, somehow, completely aware that the woman would grab her hand before she actually did. This unnerved her further.
She was clutching her helmet to her chest with one arm while she found herself being dragged through a door into an empty office, and only managed to mentally keep up with everything the woman told her.
'Erm, yeah, that's--that's me. Thank you.' Serana curiously took the mask and replaced the surgical facemask with it. She stepped out to follow the receptionist's directions, and while she did, she texted her brother, 'They were expecting me, apparently, so I think something actually really happened. OFC I did call them so, not sure. I'll tell you what I find out about the noise later.'
As she approached the described office door, Serana held her breath before she knocked and waited.
