Fantasy A Wild Roleplayer Appears! [OPEN]

Mazzie

Searching For Unicorns
Hello, Maz here! It's been a while since I've done actual forum roleplaying, but I'm hoping to get a few things going here and get back into the swing of things :) I'm nineteen years old, female and from the UK. I work part time, so I can't post every hour or anything like that, but I promise to try my best to be a reliable partner.

I don't like being too strict, so here are some guidelines that will hopefully explain how I operate and what I'm looking for in an RP partner:

  • I am adaptable. You want to write a short novel every time you post and for me to do the same? Sure thing, just give me a little while. You'd rather limit yourself to a paragraph or two? No problem! I say write what you can. If you feel like it's enough, it probably is. I am not, however, a fan of one-liners. If you want to do very basic action and dialogue type playing, I advise you look elsewhere.
  • I'd rather RP in threads. It's tidier for me. PMs feel messy and I'd rather use them for OOC communication, if it's all the same to you.
  • I don't care about romance etc. By this, I don't mean I'm opposed to the idea-- just that plots that centre solely around romance bore me. I'd rather something just spark between our characters naturally.
  • I will play multiple characters if need be. I hope you don't mind doing the same.
  • I play females mostly. I'm not opposed to playing other genders, I just tend to be better at wrapping my head around them. I'll play any sexuality and I'm willing to try and play a character of any gender.
  • I won't write anything explicit. Mature topics are fine, but I'd rather fade to black.
  • I won't bug you about replies. Hopefully, you won't bug me either. A little nudge is fine, just don't be passive-aggressive or I'll drop you faster than a hot potato. If you want to drop something, just let me know if you can. If you're too shy, I understand.
  • My stories are character driven. But plot is important too! I just prefer writing characters to developing setting, but it's something I need to practise more.
  • I generally don't do character sheets, but I will if you want me to.
  • I don't play canon characters. There may be a rare exception (if you ask me nicely and I have muse for them), but for the most part no.
  • In fandom-based roleplays, I'd rather play OCs. Mostly, I'll just use the universe/setting from canon material as inspiration and we can create our own thing and twist canon events etc.
Alright, that's enough of that! Onto some of the fandoms I'm interested in:
  • A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones
  • Overwatch
  • Harry Potter
  • The Hunger Games
  • A Series of Unfortunate Events
  • Being Human (UK)
  • The Walking Dead
  • The Last of Us
  • I may add to this.
And here are some concepts/genres/settings I'm interested in:
  • High or Low Fantasy
  • Late Medieval - Early Renaissance Britain (Looser version of History)
  • Realistic/Modern Settings
  • Urban Fantasy (excluding typical supernatural creaturexhuman plots)
  • Apocalypse (any sort)
  • Post-Apocalypse (rebuilding society/struggling to survive w/ lack of resources!!!!!)
  • Again, may add to this.
Thanks for reading! Let me know either below or through a PM if you'd be interested in roleplaying with me and what you'd like to do :)

Hey, I'd be interested in doing a High-fantasy. I got a couple ideas that we could flesh out or figure out something entirely different if none of them come into anything we can agree on. Feel free to message me if you're not too swamped.
