Marquis and Moonais Silvarn
The Twin-Souls of Twilight
Ages: 23 and 23

Races: Seraphari - a mythic race born in a distant world, the Seraphari are born in pairs and possess abilities unique to each twin. They live in an autocratic society, and often fight among themselves for power, wealth, or for whatever fancy they desire. It is a common for Seraphari siblings to resent each other right from birth, and they are normally born as polar opposites.

Weights: 188 Lbs (Marquis) and 119 Lbs (Moonais)
Hair Color: Crimson (Marquis) and Azure (Moonais)
Eye Color: Blue (Marquis) and Orange (Moonais)
Personalities: Marquis is quiet, reserved, and altogether cold when it comes to almost anything. He rarely displays any emotion whatsoever, and he is very anti-social. Despite this, he loves his sister and would lay down his life for her safety and her happiness. Moonais is emotional, proud, and prone to be extremely vicious when fighting. She acts as the speaker for both herself and her brother, and more often than not, their decision maker as well. Moonais sometimes treats her brother harshly or even cruelly, but she does this to hide her love for him and to not display any weaknesses.
Equipment and Apparel: Marquis prefers to wear a solid suit of Seraphari platemail; lightweight, mobile, and incredibly durable, along with his longsword Chaos and his kite-shield Order. Moonais, on the other hand, likes to wear her iconic silken short skirts and top-robes. She needs one weapon and one weapon only; Destiny, her magical Seraphari war-glaive.
Magical Powers/Abilities: Marquis' abilities come from the enchantments on his Seraphari gear, which are capable of granting him small bursts of improved speed and strength, although such bursts rapidly decrease him of energy and vigor. His sister, Moonais, uses a mix of frost, fire, and electrical magics which are amplified by the power of her war-glaive.
Biography: Even at birth, Marquis and his sister Moonais were drastically different from any other Seraphari children. Born with bizarre markings on their hands and feet, they were immediately subjected to inquiry by the religious sect of their homeworld; the Kirazate. Labeled as the Twin-Souls of Twilight, they are figures from Kirazatian prophecy. Raised in the lap of luxury, the twins were given everything they asked for; nothing was denied to them. Unlike most other Seraphari children, the two actually formed a bond with one another, never leaving each other's side even as they grew into adolescence. Every day, pilgrims would come and worship the Twin-Souls, offering prayers to the deified children in the hopes of leading them to paradise. Such obligations laid heavily on the shoulders of the twins.
As the two of them matured, the more they began to question themselves and their 'fate'. What was paradise, exactly? How could they of all people find it, much less bring their entire race there? The inquiries led them to pursue great sites of magical significance, of religious inspiration, and of primal knowledge. Yet still nothing was revealed to them. They read countless philosophical works and historical texts, but even they yielded no rewards. The twins had almost given up...until Moonais came to a realization; what if the keys to paradise did not lie in their world, but rather in another? This theory unveiled many possibilities.
At the tender age of fifteen, the twins recruited dozens of powerful sorcerers to scry out potential worlds in which the path to paradise could be found. As weeks rolled by, more and more worlds were eliminated from the search...until they stumbled upon a place called Concordia. All signs pointed to paradise being found there...but the Kirazate forbade them from going there; it was too dangerous to send the Twin-Souls there. Despite their objections, the twins gathered their equipment and sneaked to the portal chamber late at night. Without hesitation, they crossed through the portal...only realizing that they had been set up when the portal closed behind them in the new world. Clearly, the Kirazate had grown envious of the twins and their grip on society, and tricked them into going to this other plane...with no way of returning home.
At first, the twins could do nothing but sulk in despair. However, they eventually pulled themselves together and ventured forth into this strange world of Concordia. It has been eight years since then; the Silvarn twins had since become famed mercenaries within the many Cities of Concordia, and have constantly searched for the supposed paradise they were to find on this world. Although no sign has appeared to lead them to the end of their goal, they remain vigilant and confident. With the war between the Cities breaking out once more, the twins have become torn between which side to join. At this point, any side could beckon them to its call...as long as the keys to paradise, and the return to their home world, lay with them.
Extra Notes:
• Moonais acts as the leader of the duo, often commanding her brother around like a loyal servant.
• Due to Moonais' childish nature, Marquis has to keep her out of trouble.
• Both siblings are brilliant tactical geniuses, and are veterans of numerous campaigns.
