i don't want to do a lot of work so don't expect a masterpiece or anything. i hope you're up to take it easy and let the story flow.
we're just villagers when the story starts.
all we know is that daily grind. we all labor. some of us take care of the lizard steeds, some of us till the ground, some make the dough, but we all do it to stay alive, and to keep each other alive.
we've had our tough winters. when someone needed help, we'd come. and when there was no light, we all huddled around the big fire in the center of the village.
but it's not all loyalty. there's feuding, too. some of the families can't sit in the same room for long without quarreling. the rest stay out of it; they're wiser than to let enmity spread.
we'll join the village on the eve of the harvest festival, all of us hastening the food to the tables, the inns stock full of guests, and the village square crowded with strange merchants with strange wares.
