A Tumbling of Books

minokawa

a fancy clam
One of the things he was most commonly called was a klutz. If butterfingers was a disease you could die from, he'd probably be long dead by now. All he wanted to do was get a good book. The books tumbled off of the shelf and onto the guy browsing peacefully on the other side.

.....·• •·....

(You can take your pick of characters c: the klutz or the victim of the book avalanche @Alex Black )

(I would pick the klutz then ^^)

Alex was as always in the library, he liked being there, it was always quit and nice. He wasn't really the one who talked the most, he was that kid who nobody really knew, he had a hard time letting people get to know him, but if he found someone interesting, he would try the best to be friends with them. He never really believed in love, not for himself at least, but he lived to read about it, and he loved 'shipping' people, that could also be a reason why people tried to avoid him, he was usually really happy, and always talked about people he shipped, or setting people up with other people. Yeah, he was a very strange guy.

Anyway, back to the rp:

Mark was looking at some books on the shelf, not really paying any attention to the people around him, and when ever he was focused or amused or something like that, his eyes grew very big, just like a cats, but he never realised it himself. (He had a secret love for cats btw) Just as he was about to take a book, he accidently pushed to some other books, that would fall down over another guy. Mark quickly covered his mouth, and looked at the guy for a moment, before he began apologizing. "I..Im so sorry. It was an accident, i'm really sorry. a-are you okay, sir?"

This is him, btw ^^

(I'm sorry I took so long ;u; we had to do some school shopping)

Dimitry rubbed at a bump on his head. "It's alright, I'm okay, no harm done," he said glancing up. He had fallen back on his butt along with the books. He made as if to get up when he spotted a familiar cover under his hand. "Ah! I've been looking for this!" he exclaimed, picking the book up. Under dark hazel bangs, his green eyes lit up. He scrambled among the books trying to right himself until he stood eye-level with him. "Thank you!" he said with his hands on either of the guy's shoulders, smiling. "I'm Dimitry, by the way. Dimitry Spooner."

A slight blush would appear on Mars cheeks as he felt the guy touching him, he was still very embarrassed, and he didn't understand why the guy wasnt mad at him. "Ehm, my name is Mark, sir" He said a bit confused, and tilted his head slightly to the side. "Are you not mad at me sir? i understand if you are, i would be mad at me too" He said, as he blinked twice, slowly removing his hands that were covering him mouth. Normally people would start yelling at him, and say that he should look where he was going the next time, and stuff like that, but this guy was so kind and polite.

"Mad?" he asked, his brows knitting together in a confused expression. "Why would I be? And do stop calling me 'sir.' Judging by the looks of it, you're not much younger than I," he said, taking his hands off of Mark's shoulders. "Now come help me put these back," he said, crouching down to pick up the fallen books. "Are you hungry? Fancy a waffle or two? I was planning on getting some coffee after finding this," he said, waving the book he had picked up after the fall, "which I wouldn't have found without our little accident here." He punctuated the sentence with a little wink.

A little smile appeared on his lips when he hear that he wasn't mad at him at all. "Oh, yeah I'm sorry, sir, I-I mean Dimitry. I'm sorry, Dimitry, of course "he bowed down to help him picked up the books from the floor. He was a really akward guy. "A waffle? Ehm, yeah... Sure" he said with a little smile. When he saw his wink, his cheeks would blush again, and he would quickly look down and try to hide it. When he had placed the last book back, he got on his feet, and got some dust of his pants, and then looked at Dimitry

"So," he said, his hands on his hips, "Care to join me for some waffles and coffee, Mark?" he said as he started heading to the cashier to get the book. "I highly recommend the blueberry cheesecake waffles. They're absolutely AMAZING. Thank you," he said to the cashier. "I hope I'm not coming off as too touchy-feely or anything," he said, suddenly turning to Mark, his brows turned up in concern.

He follows him, without really saying anything, he just listens to what he has to say. "Yea, I would...ehm , yeah I would love to" he said with a little smile, and shortly smiled to the cashier , and then back on Dimitry. "Huh, touchy-feely? No no, you are good, don't worry" he answers him with a little chuckle. "Now let's go, I won't to try the blueberry cheesecake waffle " he said with a smile, and then started to walk twords to exit.

Dimitry pushed open the cafe's doors, welcoming Mark in with a grand sweep of his hand. "My second home~" he cheered.

"Hey! Dimitry!" called one of the staff. "And I see you've brought a date," she cooed, grinning with a raised brow.

"Laurel, you'll scare him," he remarked. He took Mark by the shoulders and led him to a booth. Laurel followed with a notepad in hand. "Two blueberry cheesecake waffles and two hot chocolates, Laurel. Cream or no cream?" he asked Mark.

"Woa, this is pretty" He said when he stepped into the cafe, his eyes were now just a tip bigger that usual, he was pretty amused by this cafe, he had never been there. He then looked at Laurel, and his cheeks began once again to blush. "Eh?" but he didn't get to say anything, before he felt Dmitrys hand on his shoulder and he followed. "Cream, thank you" He answered, he looked up at him. "Thi-this is not a date, right? I mean.. i.." He didnt really know what to say, his cheeks was still red, and his eyes were still big, as he looked up at him

He shot Mark an amused look. "It's a date if you wish to call it that," he said, sliding into the booth. "Or not, if you don't wish to call it such." Laurel came back with the hot chocolate. "If it makes you feel better, though, I do not kiss on the first date, nor do I do anything to anyone without their consent." He winked again.

"So," he said, taking a sip of his coffee and then setting it down, leaving a little milk-mustache of hot chocolate above his lip, "How's life, Mark? How are you?" he asked. He made it a point to always ask first before going into anything about himself.

"oh..." He looked down and nodded. Not really sure if he wanted to call it a date, or what. He sat down in the booth, across from him. "I... I dont know what to call it.." He said with a little quit voice, and smiled at Laurel when she gave him to hot chocolate. He laughed a bit nervously, when he heard that he did not kiss on the first date. "huh, i have never kissed anyone" He said, and looked down at his hot chocolate. "Hm, i guess i'm alright" He answered and looked up at him, and noticed the little milk-mustache of hot chocolate above his lip. "Ihm you have something..." He leaned towards him, and gently brushed his upper lip.

"Oh," he said, having his turn to turn a little red himself, "Thank you." He reached for a tissue to wipe off anything else. "Well, I'll be prompt and to the point," he declared, setting the napkin down. "Will you marry me?" He saw Mark gag a little on his chocolate. "Shit, sorry sorry," he said, grabbing a napkin to wipe off whatever sputtered from Mark's mouth. "We can take it slow, of course. Discuss it over coffee. Or... hot chocolate," he lifted up his own cup, "Maybe go to a movie on the weekend... See where it goes from there." He gave Mark the sincerest of smiles. "I'd like to get to know you, and... stuff," he stammered, losing momentum.

When he heard the question, he gagged on hi chocolate. They had just met, and now he wnated to marry him, he didnt understand. He looked up at him, and blushed a bit. "I..." He just looked at him for a moment, as he then began to laugh, thinking that it was a joke. He sighed and shook his head. "Good one, that was a good one, you got me there. But sure, i would love to get to know you better, you seem like a nice guy" He said, and started drinking some of his chocolate

"Great, great," Dimitry clapped. "Of course you don't have to marry me, though. That was just, God, I'm sorry you choked on your chocolate."

Laurel came by again with the waffles. "Enjoy, your highness," she said, making a grand bow and giving them both a nudge.

"Try not to choke on that," remarked Dimitry with a grin.
