Inola Amanises
Mention: GojiBean GojiBean , Sir Les Paul Sir Les Paul @November Witch @DracoNightshade

"I know nothing about survival. I do know we need water but at the same time near that floating island is a civilization we might as well go there. So I live it to majority vote."
Inola spoke up as the others were contemplating where to go, she was simply a scout at the moment, left her mind off having to think up an answer to their predicament, allowing her mind to wander and think of different things, in her case trying to realize her own body, feel it, sense it. You know get to know her body without having to touch it and make it awkward for everyone gathered here.

"So river it is. Well then follow up people I will try to get us there as fast as I can, after all, I saw it from above." Inola said after the majority had voted to go towards the river. With them not knowing where was what directions Inola took the point of the group and began walking in the direction of the river, taking her sweet time walking in that direction so others had time to keep up, as it appeared her new body was used to walking barefoot through the forest ground with little to no issue, seemingly used to this kind of life. So it got her thinking. What if the bodies we inhabit were someone else's at some point and not created for us at that very moment we died?

A slight, sour grimace shot across his face.

Valen was hardly a survivalist himself and apparently no one else around them was, either. Yet still, they elected to head for the river for a water source without any knowledge of the dangers or a plan for what to do if they encountered some strange, feral beast. Unfortunately, he was likely in the worst of all situations for that type of encounter. Everyone else was able to walk and Inola was even able to climb a tree while he was still quite unsteady. For all he knew, their plan to deal with predators was to ditch him as a decoy.

He was not amused.

In fact, he assessed his options. He still felt that seeking civilization immediately might provide better results. He could try to do that on his own, splinter from the current party and make his best at an entirely different journey. However, the fact remained that there was safety in numbers and the specific numbers that surrounded him were the only ones he could rely on being people from another world.

Much his chagrin, sticking with them seemed to be the better option. At least, for now.

Onward West it was, whether he liked it or not. It pained him to consider that the floating islands and most immediate site of civilization was now growing further away. Rolling hills with shimmering shades of green when the wind blew through it was most of what seemed to be on the horizon for them. It was pretty, sure, like some type of lowlands shot out of New Zealand. The type of thing used as a panning video for a Lord of the Rings shot of the shire. Pretty was not what Valen cared about. The trek over hills with varying inclines is what he detested. His body didn't tire or exhaust easily, but maintaining his balance on the ascent and descent of hills proved to be a task.

At the very least, any time they reached a crevice where the ground was more flat, walking itself was no longer a chore. Improvement.

Enough improvement that he could start thinking about their path. Logic dictated that most rivers formed from natural landscape, generally mountains. That meant this particular river most likely was formed from icy run off or springs from the mountain. If the mountains were North and the river was seen to the West, that meant it more than likely ran Northwest to Southeast, depending on how it split up. There was no knowing if it was a tributary or the main body. What he could surmise is that towns or civilization were more likely to be found Northwest, nearer the mountain. If it worked anything like the real world where rudimentary farming was best done on floodplains.

Farms meant food. Food meant people.

The trek thus far hadn't been terribly dangerous, but they also hadn't delved into the wooded areas. Those were still some ways off both West and North of them, likely being near the river where there was more water to feed them. Made sense. The most dangerous thing they had ran into amongst these verdant hills was a purple-looking fox that saw them once and ran off. Some distance away were deer or elk-looking creatures, but they were too far for Valen to make out. He did begin to wonder if these grass plains would have some type of bison or cattle, like the old American West. If they saw those, it might be a problem.

Granted, the world was likely full of surprises. That same fox they saw earlier didn't just run off. Valen at the least was able to sense some odd type of force within it, almost like the tingling one would receive from touching a plasma globe. Interesting though it was just to be around, more interesting was the fact that when it ran off, it did so by entirely shifting its colors to blend into the tall grass behind it. Something more akin to an octopus underwater than any land-dwelling creature he knew of.

It was a strange, strange world. Wildly different from there own with only loose similarities. Valen wasn't sure he could apply any former logic to this new world. Floating islands and vanishing foxes did not make for a compelling case.

"Put it on the record that this wasn't my idea..." Valen voiced, a mild complaint at best.
