What age will our characters be, ie how long has it been since they were isekaid. And will they all start out in the same village, or will they need to go a bit into the rp before they meet?

All characters will have to be a minimum age of 18 in both the real and isekai worlds.

The RP begins the moment they awaken in a grassy field in the isekai world.
 
At the moment, yes. I haven't gotten any DM's or replies here with a character idea/CS.

So, until I do, the role is open.
is there a specific template we need to fill out for the character idea or cs?

The DPS is available until/unless someone sends me a CS and I approve of it.

If and when that happens I'll be putting "CLOSED" in the title of the thread.

So, for now, it's open. If you have a character in mind who fits the DPS information in the first post of the thread then send me a CS. If you need examples of a basic CS structure for the RP you can visit the Characters page linked a few posts above this one.

so i heard you are looking for a dps.
what classes do you envision in that role?
Like would a Aragorn like Ranger work, aka sword as main weapon with a hunting bow as a side arm essentially for ranged attacks.
or maybe a martial artist as the dps.

aka what do you envision as the floor and roof of the DPS role, so I know what I have to work with.

The DPS role is tailored as follows:

The DPS is the fastest and most agile member of the group, but is far less durable than the Tank. If they get hit, they're going to feel it and will likely need the Mage/Healer's assistance if they take more than a few good hits. If you've ever watched anime like That Time I Was Reincarnated As A Slime, this unit would basically be a mixture of both Benimaru and Soei. They can use bladed weapons like swords and daggers, and also have abilities like Seoi's Fettered Threads which can both immobilize and dismember their enemies with but a subtle and gentle tug on the primary thread. As they increase in experience and uncover further depths of their power their rapid movement will eventually reach the stage of what's known as Blink Movement, wherein which they can literally blink out of sight and reappear great distances away almost as if teleporting. However, they are simply running at speeds faster than the naked eye can see. Blink movement is not a Unique Skill, and is something more powerful enemies will be capable of using as well in later stages of the RP.

Similar to the Tank, the DPS possesses two unique skills. The first is Weapons Master which allows them to rapidly gain knowledge and understanding of the use of close quarters combat weaponry (
bladed weapons, specifically, because I want them to have a focus so enemies can use other weapons to challenge them later), as well as thrown weaponry (i.e. throwing darts, kunai, knives, etc.). The second is Omni Perception, which allows them to feel their environment up to a certain distance and detect both life and magical energy of creatures and beings around them, even through walls. The distance of Omni Perception will begin at 5 meters and gradually increase as the user uncovers further depths of their power. However, it will eventually reach an absolute maximum of 30 meters.

The basic idea for the DPS role is that they begin the RP realizing that they have and can use martial arts techniques, and have at least a sword and basic dagger in their possession for weapons. The floor and roof is more or less open to your creative interpretation so long as there is some semblance of obvious growth and unlocking of understanding as they progress. They won't just immediately understand their potential. They'll need to become acquainted with it.

The whole point of this RP is to take on the role of an OP protagonist. So, even in the beginning your character will find it difficult to be challenged by many of the early story/plot enemies they'll face as many of them are weak and only have numbers to their advantage (not that it's much of an advantage). As time goes on and the enemies get smarter and more dangerous the DPS, like everyone else, will have to start exploring and pushing the depths of their abilities to unlock new skills to give them the edge.
