Celena Lannister
The Great Hall, Casterly Rock, Westerlands.
Celena Lannister watched from the head table as the Martell Prince she had spoken to earlier got into a scuffle that somehow involved the Hightowers as well. She found some solace in her older brother moving over there to diffuse the situation yet a look from Leanne gave her cause to worry. Walking over to the soon to be bride, the Lion Maid linked arms with her before placing a hand on the Brax's forearm. She looked at the worried lady. "Everything will be fine Lady Leanne. This is Casterly Rock, and here the Lannister's words are law." Celena knew this firsthand when her father had been lord. Between the Lion banners that clad the walls to the gears that patrol the grounds in their red and gold armor, nowhere in Westeros did Lannister power manifest as strongly as within the halls of the Rock. Leanne nodded, though she still bit her lip, even as the sellswords were kicked out of the Great Hall, likely the Rock as well, and Prince Cayden escorted out by Ser Tidus. The Lion Maid had spotted her handmaiden practically snuggling on her feet with Lord Wilds, and she shook her head. One of the most priceless bargaining chip a lady had was her maidenhead, and Kylie looked poised to give it away like some lowborn wench. Still, at least it would be to someone who held a bit of honor on his shoulders in Roland Wilds. Turning to Leanne, Celena gestured at the empty seat at the head table, to which the two women retreated.
The young girl looked to her soon to be sister-in-law, and patiently waited. The Brax had a slight worried look on her face, one that didn't appear all festival so far, even through the planning before. Knowing she needed time, Celena merely sipped on her Arbor White as she waited for the other woman to speak first. After a moment, Leanne looked at her. "I am no fool Celena. I know that war will come to the Westerlands soon, perhaps even the morn after I lay with my husband, but must the Seven be so crude as to take Tiber away from me after a single night with him? Is the Stranger so heartless he cannot stay his cold hands away from my love so that he may see his children grow?" A tear leaked out of Leanne's eyes, to which she quickly wiped away.
Celena reached over and pulled her into a hug. Looking over the quietly sobbing woman, she spotted her eldest brother speaking with their uncle quietly about something. The Lion Maid frowned. Surely there were little more important things at a wedding festival for the groom than to make sure his bride is well pleased? Turning back to Leanne, she coo'd at the woman, thanking the Mother most of the room's attention was focused on the fight before still. "Oh hush you. It's a joyous day and it will be for some time. We both know Tiber. He's too clever for his own good. If the Stranger comes for his life, don't you think he'll imitate Lann the Clever and trick him away from the Lions for some time?" The joke managed to enticed a giggle from Leanne, who looked up with a smile despite her worries. Celena smiled, though she found it hard still to believe that anyone could love her eldest brother as much as the girl in front of her.
Reaching forward, the two women did their best to fix up the bride to be, and just as they were about finished, a figure approached the head table. Suddenly Leanne's spirit lifted instantly. With a smile on her face, she hurried to the figure so quickly Celena almost thought she leapt over it. "Cousin!" The bride quickly cried out, embracing the man tightly. The Lion Maid put on a polite smile before following at a more sober pace, and when she approached the man, she recognized him as Ser Titus Bracken, heir to Stone Hedge. Leanne however, looked absolutely animated. "Oh if you're here, is Auntie Barba as well? Where's little Emma? Or cousin Agnes?" Spotting a head of redhair nearby, the young lady in gold and purple raced towards her next target. "Cousin Agnes! It's been ages! I hear you're married? I'm so sorry I couldn't make your ceremony." She embraced the Tully happily next, before Ser Titus even had a chance to respond. Celena turned to the heir Bracken. Strangely enough, he reminded her of some Reach lord, possibly a son of one, but she couldn't quite place her hand on it.
"Well met Ser Bracken. Have you been enjoying the festivities thus far?"
To the side, she could see her eldest brother walking up to the two of them. The Lord Casterly Rock had on his usual smile and spoke to Titus with a nod of respect in his direction. "Ah, Ser Titus, good to see you and the other Riverlords' arrival. I hope the road here have not been too arduous for your party. A good show so far in the melee don't you think?" He took a sip of the wine in his hands, before continuing. "I've not the pleasure to fully fulfill my duty and welcome my new family to the Rock, have Lady Barba retired for the night? I shall not sleep easy lest I've personally welcomed her to the Rock myself."
