[A Shattered Visage] Takalam bebot’ men fadlek - OOC

Axelgear

General Wontwit
For the curious, the title is "Can you speak slowly?" in Arabic. Felt appropriate.

This is the OOC, for all your OOC-chatting needs.

To keep that first post free and clear, double-posting here.

Simple house-keeping: Put your sheets in the sheet section. I'll be putting up the first threads shortly. I'm also going to put up a thread for important information which will contain all the house-rules.

Hrm. Since my friend couldn't join us this time, do you mind if I revise my sheet to include thaumaturgy? That, or one of the Twilights could learn it.

And the Prologue threads are up. Once you've decided whether you want to start in Gem or on its periphery, feel free to post.

I managed to plunge once more my claws on a internet connection.

Regarding our IC thread, feel free to replace my post with the following:

--------------------------

Soldiers can do horrible things, but at least have a cause to fight for.

Mercenaries are worse, for they do it for money or outright vocation.

But of all mercenaries band, the one lead by the man known as "Black Canavaar" was by far the worse.

The mercenaries of the Army of Right are so brutal, so rationally bloodlusty that aren't even hired for battles.

They are hired when a town has to be left with enough survivors to tell soul-rending tales of slaughter, abuse, punishment.

They are used to teach a lesson of despair to your enemies, whoever they are, for a reasonable fee.

"...and someone is about to teach a lesson to them..." thinks Ruin with a sad grin.

After getting lost more than once in the streets of Gem, the Solar managed to reach, at the top of a small hill, the luxurious pagoda that was the Army of Right's headquarter.

He stands exactly in front of the main door, about forty meters afar.

Between him and the door, four guards, likely newbies chosen more for their presence than their skill.

Beyond that door, several officers of a dangerous mercenary army.

Pulling teeth, ruin takes a deep breath.

That's very gracious, thank you Xarvh. However, as of now, it's unnecessary. We're just going to roll with it, and you can respond as you like. You guys (Dio, Xarvh, Tableface) might want to discuss how Ruin met up with you here, though, or via PM or whatever other means suits you.

Eh, sorry, I should have been faster with that... oO

Ok, I'll keep more or less Ruin getting to Gem to kick the ass of some especially eeeeeevil mercenary company.

Maybe he managed to kill them all, maybe he risked to get his add handed, surely he made a huge mess and other people in town may have noticed...

If Ruin was in town to kick the ass of evil mercenaries, 7 is in town looking to employ mercenaries, preferably non-evil ones, but two individuals both dealing with mercenaries have a high probability of meeting.

And I just completely made something up to explain why the amoral gunslinger is on the road to Gem.

MMh, I'll probably start in Gem itself... that is, if I survive the two family dinners I have to attend today! And marriage talk...

Also, do we know each other?
That's more or less left to the players to decide OOC beforehand.

Nice to see you Brekkir.

It will be hard not to think of you as the Eclipse. ^_^

Changed "Contacts" with "Mentor: Bull of the North".

BotN took Ruin under his wing and taught him, but it didn't take long for their ethical differences to freeze the relationship between the two.

Okay so, for the players already in Gem, would any of you have travelled through the East before? Or will we have to go with 'chance meeting followed by First Age flash of memories'?

Well, Twilight is my 'default caste' as it stands ;)

Also, Rahim might want you as a warleader to bloody the Perfect's nose. Once you've done strolling through Varangia, that is ;)

Axel, any chance we could work out who Ezria's looking for in Gem? Some lead for her to be following on the cults of Cecelyne?

Ruin came from North to South and is no seawolf, so it is only likely that he crossed at least the Scavenger Lands.

And yeah, it seems like he'll become the armed fist of the Twilights... :|

Axel' date=' any chance we could work out who Ezria's looking for in Gem? Some lead for her to be following on the cults of Cecelyne?[/quote']
Certainly. My AIM is Axelgear2003 if you want to zap me a message there to discuss it. I'll put that in the Important Info thread so everyone can find it, too, if there's anything anyone wants to discuss with me.

Tried to post in Gem proper at least thrice, but everytime writer's block hit.

So I decided to take a more neutral approach and join the caravan. I gave up writing a grandiloquent intro, as well. I feel I'd never gotten the show on the road (excuse the pun) otherwise.
