Rahim glared as Praan's speech continued. "I am the kind of Chosen who weighs the pros and the cons carefully before jumping headlong into the fray. This is what responsible persons do. And before you serve us more of your sanctimonious bullshit, let me hear a plan from you. Step by step. Else I'm walking out of here to more interesting endeavors."Tableface said:Praan Cloudbinder
Praan winces at Ezria's rough treatment of their 'guest,' but from the sound of things it's not the sort of thing he should be commenting on.
"Flyguy, lady," he begins, looking to be struggling for words, "just how do you want to end slavery? There's... there's not some lever you can pull to do it. And you're not going to talk the entire world into giving up a system that they benefit from! You're going to need to do it, and... I'm having trouble thinking of a better place to start than here, what might as well be the capital of slave labor in the South.
"You want to avoid bloodshed? It's too late for that! They are killing each other out there, and your solution is to--what?--wait until enough heads have been bashed in and enough tendons have been slashed in retaliation to talk to some woman who may have enough prescience to not even show up? When you have the power to end it? Just what sort of Chosen are you people?!"
Praan glances out the door. "This is our responsibility. It is happening because of us, whether or not we started it."
