  Battle of the bravest challenge league

  Every year we of the red islands host the battle of the bravest! In ancient times our ancestors were known as the crimson ones due to our warrior race and mentality. Every year our people challenged the world to test the bonds of their pokemon and the fortitude of themselves as well! Many were lost in these competitions and many rose to fame and became legend because of it!
  
  In the spirit of competition we continue our ancestor's tradition and test the bond between trainer and pokemon! Join hundreds a year who enjoy an all expenses paid trip to the tropical red islands and fight for the same honor that our ancestors have! Who knows, rumors over the decades have said there have been legendary pokemon sightings! Some say its to honor the trainers who overcome the odds and prove their worth!

  These rules are specific because it is a challenge league and as such you need one of each to compete. There will be downtimes between each challenge of 1 month rp time, but it's best to have number 2 and 3 fulfilled before entering the competition. Remeber you're an established trainer already.

  Hp: no higher than 30 for fully evolved two stage pokes and 25 for 2 stage pokes(like umbreon)

  1. I'm a flexible guy. A very vocal one too. My priority is a good well paced story, above all else. If it takes an extra 5 turns and 2 weeks to finish a part of this rp's story, then you can bet your ass that I will take 3 week just for good measure.
  
  2. Pacing is not a problem for me personally. I'm able to work with hyper active posters or busy bodies who post once a week. As long as there's someone interested in this rp, I'll do my best to make it successful.
  
  3. I'm aiming for a detailed rp. Post length will vary, but the main thing my players should focus on is developing their characters. You should focus on showing their personalities and trainer styles off more than anything.
  
  Length is not an issue as long as the post is a short paragraph and responds directly to another person.

  Typhlosion: Blaze: Boosts fire type move's damage by 1 when at 50% or less health. At 25% or less fire type moves do +2 damage. Only one activation.
  
  Murkrow: Super Luck: Uses a 20 sided die 1-14 is regular damage 15-20 is a crit, Can be used on any two of Murkrow's turns, during a battle. A crit as murkrow gives +1 damage and as honcrow gives +2 damage.
  
  Abra: Insomina: Immune to asleep status condition
  
  Marill: Thick Fat: Fire and Ice type attacks do 2 less damage on Marill.

  
  

  Bewear: Fluffy: Halves the damage taken from moves that make direct contact, but doubles that of Fire-type moves.
  - Physical attacks that make direct contact with the pokemon is halved. Does not include physical attack moves like Earthquake as it does not make direct contact. However, fire moves become super effective. Fire direct contact move become regular damage due to fluffy which cancels out the fire.
  
  
  Aerodactyl: Rock Head: Prevents recoil damage.
  - Attacks like take down does not cause recoil damage.
  
  
  Carracosta: Solid Rock: Reduces damage from supereffective attacks.
  - Super effective moves does the same damage as regular moves.
  
  Archen: Defeatist: Lowers stats when HP becomes half or less.
  - Attacks don't hurt at full capacity: (half normal damage)

  Snow warning- Causes the surrounding temperature to lowered drastically and causes Hail, non-ice type Pokemon loses 1 hp per turn under the cold. Lasts three turns
  
  Froslass
  Snow Cloak- Raises evasiveness in Hail, the Pokemon's Snow Cloak acts as a camouflage to make its presence hard to detect. It also allows effective ambushing.
  
  Cubchoo
  Slush Rush- Raises speed in Hail.
  
  Delibird
  Vital Spirit- Will not fall asleep in battle.

Haha after looking at my rules I didn't realize what I actually said. It should say pokemon that make sense for surf and fly hms. xD

Anyways there's no rush dude. Take yer time and if you need me to post the basic challenges, I can do so

For the most part those numbers were there just to give a general ballpark number that a pokemon should have for simplicity's sake. The real pokemon games have real issues with balance because two pokes can have different values for arbitrary or just random reasons. But for this rp those are just the standard starting ceilings, especially since I haven't tested how battles feel with the current numbers. but generally I'd still put it in the low 20's, high teens depending on what it is. Like if we're talking about a snorlax or pincir, it could have equal hp a blastoise. Hell it's not even a big deal if its equal to a fully evolved poke. Because I do realize that I'm putting conditions to satisfy my challenges. So the least I can do is not restrict what you like based on not having an evolution.

I think you'll have an interesting time in the fire challenge. But luckily thats one of the last ones, so by the time we get there, you might have a more suitable poke. xD
