Alistair is well known for his stoic,professional personality. He will hardly ever show emotions or lose his temper,with the exception of extreme situations. This trait will often make people believe that Alistair is completely emotionless,which is hardly true. He is simply a guarded individual who takes some time to fully trust others. Still,his loyalty can't be questioned. Not many people accept the challenge of befriending Alistair,but those who do will find that he can be a kind,gentle man. He tries his best to have a consistent moral compass and be fair to whoever he meets. That may cause him to slip on his orders and do what he thinks is right,showing an insubordination that often comes to bite his ass. But unless they ask for something completely immoral,Alistair will follow the will of his commanders.
He values independence beyond anything,a remaining trait from his time as a pirate.
Alistair values relations and friendships,but if you lose his trust once you may never regain it. There is nothing he despises more than a betrayer,and the very act of betraying someone is one of the few things that can make him angry. Besides that,he isn't at all bothered by the drinking and singing of the crew,even though he would prefer to not join it at most times. He is also not very interested in sleeping with many women,as he would prefer a serious relationship instead. But since he hasn't found any,he remains alone.

Alistair started his life as a cleaning boy in one of the many pirate ships that roomed through the infinite sea. He never once felt boredom in the endless blue sight,finding extreme rejoice in the act of sailing. As he got older,he was allowed a bigger position into the ships. Soon little Alistair gained the favor of an older captain. The man,who Alistair saw as a father,taught him every fighting move he knows about. When the old man passed,Alistair assumed his place in the ship. That was his first experience as a Pirate Captain,and one he would never forget. He eventually fell in love with one of his traders,a beautiful woman with an intelligence to put any man to their knees. Anara was everything he could have wanted. Alistair knew that he couldn't choose anyone better to spend the rest of his days,specially because she understood his need for the sea. They married after two months,completely uncaring about any criticism.
His crew was loyal,tough. Not many ships were able to resist their forces whenever Alistair attacked. They usually left the crew alive,but any cargo was looted and sold in the islands. Alistair trusted every man in the ship,but one of them had always been considered a brother. His name was Raphael,and he was allowed to handle the ship whenever Alistair was unable to. But that blind trust would soon be regretted. Alistair can barely remember the date where the betrayal happened,but any other details are clear in his mind. Raphael caught him by surprise,imprisoning Alistair bellow the deck and taking control of the ship. He soon headed for a dark island. When Alistair saw the black waves and the undead roaming the land,he knew that his time was over.
Raphael had sold the crew to the shadowy creatures in exchange for infinite wealth. The souls of the entire crew were taken,but Alistair himself was allowed to live as a last cruel act. The creatures cursed him to hold infinite youth. Alistair would stay ageless,seeing the people around him age and die while he remained intact. Not only that,but every person he had ever loved would die on the spot. As soon as Alistair heard that,he felt his heart go dark. The only person he still loved was his wife. When he came back home from the travel to the shadowy lands,he found only the ashes of the woman he had once loved.
That day took any will Alistair had to live. He couldn't go back to his life as a pirate,and he couldn't stay on the land and have constant flashbacks about Anara. What saved his life was the news that the Navy were recruiting. Alistair left everything behind to volunteer,finally changing from a lawless pirate to a loyal navy officer. It took him ten years,but eventually he managed to reach the rank of Vice Admiral.
His curse was never forgotten. But what was unknown to Alistair was that it could be broken if one day he were able to forget his wife and love someone else.
