he looks at the creature and decides to let go of the sword. He didn't trust her yet but he couldn't look scary. "I see... Luna... it is a pretty name but... you see I don't like calling other people by nicknames" he smiles "If someone has a name then he or she should be called by it"


he smiles "Good question. You see my... captain is always bringing us here. I don't like this place and the only interesting thing I saw since I am here it's you so.. yeah I dislike this place. So I am only here because my captain likes this place. What about you?"

Luna smiled coyly at the man.


"Maybe I'll tell you my name the next time we meet." She said. "I'm certain we would."





Luna listened to the sound of his voice. It was different from the first voice he used on her.


"What brings your captain to Tortuga?" She asked. "I simply come here for the people." She smiled innocently at Pride. She swam closer to him, but kept her distance. She ran her fingers through her long purple hair, putting them in place. She hummed a sweet tune.

he smiles "That would be nice. "


he then walks a bit closed too "What brings my captain to Tortuga... hmm asides from the drinks, fights and parties, she came here to find new members for her crew" he smiles, not really sure if he could tell that or not. He didn't care either way.


"And I see..." he kept hearing her voice "You have a pretty voice"

Luna smiled.


"Thank you, that's very kind of you, Pride, the Proud." She sat down on a nearby rock. "Is your ship the Forbidden Soul?" She asked innocently. She fluttered her eyebrows at him. "It seems like a very nice ship."

he smiles "No problem" he looks at her and stays where he is. "yes it is. It's a pretty one" he responds. Not as pretty as the captain but... it does its job

Luna closed her eyes and felt the sun on her skin. She breathed in and was filled with the ocean breeze. Her tail slowly circling the water below the rock. She was fascinated by this ship. Why it interested her was unknown. She felt the need to know its story.

"There was a ship that sailed the sea,


It docked in sweet Tortuga.


It's crew, at land made joyful noise,


Till they come back to sea."

The Siren sang sweetly.

he smiles and moves a bit closer to her "Shouldn't you be trying to eat me rather than sing about ships?" he asks, looking directly at her, though she had her eyes closed.

Her eyes opened, holding his gaze. She hummed.


"I think I want to keep you." She smiled sweetly. She proped herself up on the rock, showing off her body. "Do you want me to eat you?" She bit her lower lip seductively.

He looks at her, trying to noticed any hint of sarcas., but her voice... made him unable to think straight.


"Keep me?" he thinks out loud. Aiden was laughing inside his head. Pride sighs. He really didnt know if what she was saying was true or not. "If I want you to eat me... you are kidding right? No mermaid would say that if her objective was really eating her target"

Luna smiled coyly.


"But you haven't met a Siren like me." She enjoyed talking to Pride. It fascinated her. "Tell me about yourself some more."

"So that means you are thinking of eating me right?" he asks not really waiting for her answer.


He sighs. She wanted him to talk about himself. There wasn't anything that seemed interesting. "Well... The body that I am in wasn't always mine. You see there once was a guy named Aiden. He was a good person, leader of the army of a powerful duke. One day, in this exact city he was kidnnaped by a king that hated the duke. They made him drink a black liquid. That liquid had magic and a second personality... or better, a second being was born in his body. That being was me, Pride. Now Aiden and I share the same body, though I usually am the one controlling it. This black hair and red eyes weren't Aiden's. He had brown hair and blue eyes. I can change back to those, but that isn't really me so I don't like doing it alot." he finishes it unsure if he should continue. It didn't seem like his story was that interesting, so he didn't know if she was amazed or wanted to hear more

Luna just smiled, absorbing everything he says.


"Pride… tell me about Aiden too." She asked, curious of the other man living inside the same body. "Two minds in one body… makes me want to keep you, more." She sang aloud. She lay back down on her rock, deciding that she wants to learn more.

The beast growled as it started to slowly squeeze his neck before Kimberly asked Isabella to let him go so she did as the demon dissapered. "I do not like him, he thinks I am weak, and unworthy. He will think otherwise if he knew what I was." She growled as she hugged her mothers leg and glared at him as the sky's started to darken a little as she vented her anger in a different way

he smiles "Aiden was born of a fisherman. Every day he w ould go to the ocean bringing him and his mother to go fishing. One day a kraken came and destroyed their boat. Only Aiden survived" he says. Aiden didnt seem to be angry so he continued "He was saved by the duke and he trained him how to fight. He met the captain of that boat by accident and then became part of the crew. Aiden was at that time the captain of the army of the duke"

"Isabelle dont be upset. Its much better to use that against them. You know that best of all. Use your unthreatening demeanor to draw people in and end them."


She says while looking down at the girl hugging her legs. To be honest she had never minded Isabelle's physical contact she was one of the few who wouldnt get yelled at for touching her.


"And anyway I know your powerful and the others know your not weak. He's one guy."


She turns to Kha'six with an annoyed look. She didnt want to deal with this.


"Oh really? I dont think you could. If you couldnt make this-"


She waves her amulet a bit.


"Then you cant take Aya out of me. Until you can make one of these stop bugging me. Your annoying and hardly capable of getting yourself out of trouble. I cant always save your ass. Or give you something to save your ass."


She sighed with a slight amused look dancing inside her eyes. Oh yes she wanted to annoy him and real good too.

Luna nodded.


"A Kraken, huh…" she hummed to herself. "Does it get crowded in there?" She asked. She sat up and smiled sweetly. "It seems to be awfully crowded."

Realising she was naked he looks at the ship. Why? The mermaid couldn't tell but the truth was that he was trying to see if the captain was looking at them. Happy to see she wasn't he turns back to her trying not to look to her under her face.


"In the ship?" he asks smiling at her, a bit nervous but still smiling "Ifyou are talking about the ship then yes but... I wouldn't recommend you go talk with them. They aren't really people who like to talk"

Ember grins as she stops the giant ship called The Forbbiden Soul. It was finally back! She had to tell her sister! She dove underwater and swam as fast as she coukd towards her sister, who was near Tortuga. Once she got there she stuck her head out from the water shouting,


"Luna its back! The ship is back!"


She said then spotted the human she appeared to be interacting with. She immediately swam behind her sister and put her hands on her shoulders, hiding behind her in a way.


"Luna why are you talking with humans again?.."




She asks in a hushed voice. She didnt like humans.. They had killed many of their kind and used them for prizes or other shit. She wanted to get away and fast but she wanted her sister to come with her.

Pride sighs "I can hear you. And I thought that is what you do with humans. You talk with them and then eat them" he smiles. Pride had a bad feeling about this mermaid "What is your name?"

Ember gave the human a look and slightly pulled her sister away.


"Luna.. Can we go?"


She looked back at the human and sighed. Why did her sister have to draw things out so much? Why couldnt she just say hello and leave or kill him? It was annoying.


"Well good for you. You dont need to know my name. Most sailors have some name for me."


She said in a softer agitated voice. She want to swim away fast.. Or kill him.. But her sister would probably stop her from doing so.. Ember wasnt very subtle so most sailors did know her. Her voice was unique and she knew it so she used it. And considering she saw him on that ship Luna and her liked to talk about he most of heard her before. Or maybe he was dea? Probably not but she did assume he was stupid. Most humans are stupider than merpeople.

Well thats what she had observed from watching them on the ship. Him and the captain always appeared tonbe fighting.. And it was dumb.

Pride looks at the black haired mermaid "You see... I already told the other mermaid this: Everyone should be called by their real name. And so I will only call you by it. Not by nicknames or other names people create for you. I will only call you by your real name" he smiles. He knew she was being a bit rude but he was trying to be nice. It was an advice from the captain. He never heard that women's voice. Why? Because he never really got out of the ship and when he does it, it would only be so he could be with the captain and talk with her.

Ember shook her head at him then shook Luna

"Luna.. Please can we go?"




She repeated while looking at the male. She frowns a bit. Why was he being so nice? It bugged her.. What was his game?.. Normally humans would walk away or be rude back to her. Though Ember couldnt take it anymore. She looked back at Luna then backs to the male and dove back into the ocean. Then swam away.





I dont like him.. Luna why do you talk with the weird humans?..





She wondered with a sigh.

He sighs. He couldn't say he was sad she went away. He just waves and says "Goodbye". He then smiles at the other mermaid, trying to remember where the conversation was.

Kayla leaned over the side of the Forbidden Soul, hearing Captain's announcement of land. " Finally. We need more crew members. I'm tired of doing all of the work." She mumbled. She twiddled with her earring.

Luna looked at the ocean, where her sister returned to. She let her gaze linger there, for a while.


"She doesn't understand." Luna mumbled in a soft voice. "You don't seem to like her." She looked at Pride and smiled.


She adjusted her hair, letting the sun touch more of her naked body. She enjoyed feeling the sun. This was a rare moment for her.


Just a moment, Ember… she thought.
