A Pack's Decision (Kisu & DamiClo)

Sotet doze off pretty quickly, even though she had said she wouldn't. True was, she indeed was quite the sleepy head and she would be able to sleep almost anywhere. What bothered her was how she would wake up in the morning, for she was sure she would feel to stiff. Her tail curled around her and she didn't even thought of shifting, for as soon as she laid her head down she was out like a light.

Nix had not shifted when she had gotten into the Hole, she usually shifted when she drifted off but it would be extremely uncomfortable for everyone, as her wolf form was huge and her semi human one was tiny. She curled up next to Dash, knowing that Sotet was also near. Her ears twitched a bit and she closed her eyes breathing in. She would have recognized Axel's scent if they hadn't been down there, but true was that almost everyone in there smelled similar and so though she liked a scent she couldn't recognize, she didn't know it was Axel the one next to her.

(Sorry it's taken me awhile.)

Normally, the bodies pressed around him, their warmth filling the tiny hole in the ground, helped lull Axel to sleep, but tonight it still wasn't working, despite him laying there for a long while. After a bit, he stood, stretching and yawning, shifting again. His shifting ended up pressing his body against Nix. He tensed, then relaxed.

He still hoped he female would choose to go home. It was strange. Axel prided himself on self control, but it had gone out of the window with just a glance at the white wolf. He sighed, allowing himself to breath her scent in once he drew his breath. She was reasonable, smart, strong. What a mate she would make.

Eventually, the female's scent in his nostrils, Axel did fall asleep. He snuggled up to her more, burrowing his head into her back.

Nix had eventually fallen asleep as well, snuggling to the nearest warm spot she could feel, in this case Axel. She too wasn't that used to sleeping on such a closed place, but she could manage. Just then she hoped she was back at home, not really because of the place they were staying at currently, but because she would miss her den. She had been raised there after all, though she knew she would miss Sotet much more. Night went by and so morning come and as always Nix was of the firsts to wake up, if only because she was used to wake up early back at home. Sotet, on the other hand, was still soundly sleeping. So Nix closed her eyes again in an attempt to drift off to sleep, snuggling to the male beside her a bit more, not really aware of what she was doing.

(It's okay. Sorry 'bout the short reply, having a bit of writers block -.-)

(No problem at all. ^u^ )

The dew glistened on the ground, weighing down the grass, though it still swayed in the breeze.

Down in the den, however, the sun wasn't shining. Still, wolves were shifting, waking slowly. Most of them still had their eyes closed, but wiggled around a bit, stretching occasionally.

Snuggled up to Nix, Axel only registered a warm body pressing against him, wiggling slightly. He gave a yawn, and groaned. His arms slid around the female, hugging her to him gently.

A voice filled the air, a quite hiss, but loud enough for those two to hear. "Uhm...so...morning..." Dash stood above them, his head tilted. This wasn't quite right. He'd wanted the girl to snuggle him!

Nix - who had been happily and peacefully sleeping - blinked, a small yawn escaping her lips as she managed to pry her eyes open. She looked over at Dash, sleepily “Morning?” She managed to get out, her ears lazily leaning against her head.

Dash seemed… somewhat displeased and that made Nix tilt her head to the side “Is there something wrong?” She asked quietly. Somehow, she was still half asleep and as such she still hadn’t noticed the arms that were wrapped around her, instead she felt a heart warming and comforting sensation.

Nevertheless, when the sleepiness wore off she finally felt something was quite off and that made her look over her shoulder, brow raised “Ah!” She gasped softly, quickly scooting away from Axel, effortlessly breaking free from his gentle grip “I’m sorry” She found herself quickly saying, pressing her ears against her skull as a guilty look appeared on her face.

Axel had ignored Dash, burrowing his face into the female's shoulder. He felt like growling as the tiny form wiggled and shifted. This was comfortable!

There was morning talking, but Axel continued to ignore it, his tail wagging lazily.

Suddenly, however, his arms were jerked apart and the warm body was gone. Axel opened his multicolored eyes and blinked, glancing over. Nix looked rather guilty, though it took a moment for he apology to set in. That had been Nix?

The alpha stared at her for a moment, then glanced to Dash. "Between us." He finally muttered. Dash didn't respond, but glanced at Nix with a sigh, then crawled from the hole.

Axel still didn't speak to Nix, glancing around the hole. The other wolves were sleeping soundly, including his mate-to-be. Finally, Axel's ears mimicked Nix's, laying down in an apology. "I'd thought you were Parduc's daughter at first..." He admitted, sitting up and stretching. His gaze moved back to Sotet. "All of this would be so much easier if you were."

Nix ears perked up when she heard the last part and she looked down to her hands. Why would he say that? Was it because he really meant it? Because he had indeed felt something when the two of them had seen each other the day before? Or perhaps because seemed to be much more easy to deal with than Sotet? Nix nibbled down on her bottom lip, suddenly feeling vexed. She didn't want those kind of words if they were only to be said half hearted.

Her ears dropped and she sighed, finally looking up. Her blue eyes found their way to his mismatched pair of ones and they remained there. She wanted to find the meaning to those words on them. Maybe it had truly been a mistake for her having come there. She clenched her hands above the ground and moved forwards a bit. The others were asleep and she just wanted a reason for what she was feeling. How stupid. Humans were hunting them down and the only thing that was in her mind were things like that.

She stopped when she could practically feel his breath in her face and closed her eyes. Nix had, overall, always been happy. She had had it everything, even when her mother and father died. How come it felt that by that stranger's side she finally felt that she had gotten something back that had gone missing? Her lips quivered before an exhalation escaped them.

"Maybe" She finally granted, opening her eyes "It seems we were not the lucky ones on this life" With that she turned around and crawled from the hole as well, she needed fresh air. When Sotet wakes up, she may even be going into town that day, it always seemed to calm her down after all.

Axel watched the female quietly. He couldn't believe he'd just said that! She didn't get mad like he had expected. She looked...shy...

She looked at him, and locked eyes. Axel found himself mesmerized. She stepped closer, and all coherent thought left the alpha. And that quickly, she was gone.

The male sat quietly, thinking on her words and peering at the woman he'd have to mate. Lucky or not, it really wasn't fair to the female. Maybe he had been too harsh on her the previous day. Today he would try and make it up to her. Give Sotet a real chance.

He hesitated a moment longer, before stepping towards her. He laid down next to her, wrapping his arms around her, cuddling her. Axel would show her he could be kind and sensitive!

Sotet shifted lightly on Axel's arms, her dark hair falling on her olive skin for a moment before a soft sigh escaped her lips. She instinctively snuggled to Axel, a small smile showing on her face. Her lips seemed to quiver for a second, speaking inaudible words before she inhaled deeply. She wiggled again for a moment before her lips parted and a simple word escaped them.

"Trevor.." And as simply as that she stayed still again. Nevertheless, with the small smile still evident on her lips.

As Sotet cuddled with Axel, Nix breathed in the fresh air of the morning. Ah.. She just wanted to run so badly. With a soft exhalation she stretched, her pointy white fangs showing for a moment as she yawned. She glanced back at the hole for a second before forcing herself to look away almost immediately. It was still early in the morning.. Nix might as well run away from everything for a moment before Sotet woke up, right?

She looked down at herself before shrugging. Her cloak was at the usual spot anyway.. A small smile slowly bloomed on her face before she kicked the floor lightly and ventured herself on the woods. Running for a moment before shifting, her big and white wolf form tearing apart her clothes as her paws dug on the ground. She felt the need to howl but suppressed it, lowering her body to the ground instead to gain much more speed. Never she expected that she would encounter humans on the woods at that time, and that was her biggest mistake, her carelessness.
