A New World, United

Annabelle sat on one of the couches, watching th the staff prep for the night. Ruining a club was more work than she had expected but still durable.  Nevertheless she had other things to plan as well. The criminal ring,  her drug trade. All needed the same amount of attention, her father taught her better.

One of her henchmen approached her. "Miss Cobblepot. Iron man had an encounter with Killer frost. It's all over the news." He informed her. She had eyes and ears around the city,  being informed was one of the necessities after all. She smirked at him. "Really now and where is she presently? "

"Jail,  she was thrown in there a while ago. "

"Good to know. Tell the officers I'm on my way." She pointed to the man on the opposite side of the room. "You there! Get my car, we're going for a little drive."

When they arrived,  she wasn't interrupted or stripped of her weapons.  Instead they immediately lead her to the prisoner. She gave one of her men, Pete, a stack of cash. "Building next door. " she ordered and without hesitation he left. She managed to make it on time to see the attorney make a fool of himself. 'Very professional.'  She thought sarcastically.  She listened carefully to what Clara had to say and smirked. She could use this to her advantage. She stuffed her hands into her pocket and waited patiently.  Considering what she saw so far,  the conversation wouldn't last long anyways.

'Very professional.'  She thought sarcastically.  She listened carefully to what Clara had to say and smirked. She could use this to her advantage. She stuffed her hands into her pocket and waited patiently.  Considering what she saw so far,  the conversation wouldn't last long anyways.

As expected, the conversation ended, as soon as Frost said that she doesn't want to be a lap dog. "Then I am afraid there is no way I can get you out of here." He said, switching to perfect English. "Have a nice stay, I hear the food is nice" he added sarcastically, making his way outside. Exiting he noticed the girl, who sent shivers down his spine. There was something about her that was bothering him, but he couldn't figure out what. Or maybe he was just thrown off by the conversation he had with Killer Frost. Either way, he had more important things to do. And one of those was the meeting with Dr. Fate

Once outside, he entered his car, where the stealthed suit was already waiting. "That was a bust" ADAM noted. "Tell me about it. Keep tabs on the prison surveillance. I want to know what she is up to." Alex was breaking a law or two by this, but there was no other way of him to do that. "The day has advanced too much, sir." ADAM said. "There are still a couple of meetings you are supposed to attend, and I suggest you get on it as soon as possible." ADAM was right. Alex spent the majority of his day dealing with armed drug dealers and Killer Frost. He had to make up for the lost time. "Alright then" He took the next turn left and headed towards Wayne Enterprises. "We are off to the first meeting. ADAM, contact Mr. Wayne's secretary that I am on my way." Alex instructed his assistant. "Already on it, Sir!" ADAM replied.

After a short drive, Alex pulled up to Wayne's Manor, which was way bigger than Alex's. And it looked older and creepier. "You sure this is the right place, ADAM? This place looks abandoned." Alex pulled up to the main gate and pressed the buzzer. After a short introduction the gates opened, and Alex drove inside. He parked in front, and was greeted by an old man, that he assumed was the man's butler. "Good evening, Mr. Mercer. Master Wayne is waiting for you!" The old man invited Alex inside. Alex navigated through the house. As expected it was old looking on the inside, furnished in an antique style, but felt expensive. Alex entered the office, sort of speak, where Mr. Wayne was waiting.

"You needed to see me, Mr. Mercer!" Wayne started talking first.

"Please, It's Alex... And yes, I need to talk to you about something, Mr. Wayne." Alex answered.

"If you are Alex, that makes me Bruce. So, what can I help you with?"

"Well, here is the deal though..." Alex started explaining.

They talked a lot, and their business talk turned into guy talk, and they ended up having a glass of whiskey on the side. They seemed to have come to an agreement, but before they can shake their hands, the butler entered, with a knock. "I'm sorry, Master Wayne, but there is a matter that needs your attention." He pointed his head to the side.

"Well, I am afraid I have to go now. It was good talking to you. You have my support! Alfred will show you the way!" Bruce said to Alex, as he made his way out of the office, and headed down the hall. Upon exiting, Alex was greeted by ADAM in his earpiece. "Sir, there is a matter that you need to attend. Unfortunately, it requires a specific dress code." ADAM said. "Well then, let's get changed!" Alex spoke in the earpiece and entered the car.

She watched the man leave and offered him a smile. One that was sinister in it's own way, almost like a warning. She then made her way inside, turning back to one of the officers and whispering. "We won't be needing the camera on." The officer nodded prior to going on with his business. She did have some cops unde her control, it helped with certain situations especially with these.

It was obvious that eyes we're already on killer frost so it a race on who can get to her first. "Hello Darling, I'm  Annabelle Cobblepot. Pleased to meet you. " She offered a warm smile.  "May I have a seat? " She asked.

Clara Jones

Clara was confused of the sudden change in his way of talking. Whatever happens to her, she'll never pair with anyone. She was always been alone, she can't imagine changing that. Deep in her she knew that she is wrong, but she didn't want to admit it. For her what she was doing was right. Right now she wanted revenge. There should be a way to get out of here and take revenge without her becoming a puppet to the man, who Mr. Gunther called "Mr. Mercer". Without her abilities her way out will be hard... Unless it's from outside. However, her only known associate won't be very happy to see her. Clara really had hard time right now. If she was going to escape from this prison, she'll probably need help. And she didn't liked the idea.

As Annabelle entered and introduced herself, Clara gave a cold reply. "Yeah, yeah, just keep your kind words to yourself, skip the pleasantries and jump to the questions." Clara obviously was already bored from all those conversations and events in just one day.

"Don't be so hasteful. Patience in a a virtue. "Her voice was turned stern for a moment but shifted to a more relaxed tone soon after. She took a seat and crosed her legs, placing her umbrella close by.  "I'm not hear to ask questions,  I'm here to reason. Anyways you should be thanful that you even caught my attention... Your bond has been paid,  you are free to leave, however there is a hitch. "

"Don't mind me, I just don't like to talk much." After Annabelle took a Seat Clara looked at her. When the person with the umbrella told what she had to tell, Clara gained a surprized look on her face. "Wait, what...?" She was confused. "Waaaait, I don't want being involved in things I don't even have information. What do you want from me?" She was annoyed, and probably Annabelle was hearing this in the way Clara talked. The woman right in front of her probably knew what she was doing, but it seems Clara didn't trust her. In fact, she wasn't able to trust anyone. "I won't do anything unless you tell me everything as it is."

Annabelle perked her brow and started to snicker. "A thank you would be nice. " She commented,  her smile unwavering despite the obvious tone of the woman.  Manners didn't apply to everyone,  she thought. "I want to do something that might be in your favor. I desire to be your sponsor,  support you in your endeavors since it appears that your plan might come be beneficial for me. Of course , we would have to provide a clear understand between us two. Alex got "dressed" with the proper suit, so he could go out to play. ADAM received an anonymous tip about a bank robbery happening, and that was something he couldn't ignore. That's why he suit up and stealthed himself at the top of a building on the opposite side of the street. He sat down on the ledge, looking down comfortably, hidden in plain sight. While he was staying, watching down, he noticed the white van. It had a maintenance logo on it, and the people getting out were blue collars. Nothing out of the ordinary so far, apart from the fact that they worked late. However they seemed to be regular workers, as they pulled the yellow line and started working on what Alex assumed was a pipeline or a cable, as they opened the manhole cover in the middle of the street. "False alarm." Alex told himself, as he relaxed a bit, thoughts drifting towards the fight he had earlier. His thoughts were interrupted by the proximity Alarm. "Somebody's here, sir!" ADAM warned Alex of the possible threat. "It appears to be a man in a black suit." ADAM continued. "Maintain Stealth. Proceed with mission. He has no way of knowing we're here!" Alex whispered to ADAM.

The man in the black suit walked to the ledge, almost hitting the stealthed Alex, who moved away, to avoid the contact. Being discovered, without knowing the masked man's intentions was going to be troublesome. However he relaxed, when he saw the bat symbol on his chest. That was the bat vigilante that was helping the police. If he was here, Alex would not be needed. But he could at least introduce himself to a big name in crime fighting. He stepped up, disengaging stealth. "You come here to rock out?" He shot the question at Batman. "The man in the iron suit! I shouldn't be surprised, but yet, I am. I didn't expect to see you here. Petty crime doesn't look like your cup of tea, considering the showdown you had with Frost." the bat vigilante teased Alex. "Hey, it's the little things in life. Speaking of which, you wouldn't happen to be here on that tip about a robbery happening, are you?" Alex didn't need to wait for an answer to this question. It was obvious. "It's a person, I have been chasing for a while. He killed my sidekick." The bat answered. "It sounds like him!"

The killing his sidekick got Alex. "I'll help you. I'm here after all, aren't I? We'll get him!" Batman looked at Alex after hearing this. "I guess you can. But I work alone!" He replied. "Well, that's too bad, because I don't take NO for an answer..." Alex couldn't finish, as ADAM again noticed something. "Movement underground" he said, pulling out ERS (Enhanced Reality System), showing the tunnels and where to intercept the "rat". "Well, nice talking to ya!" Alex walked back to the ledge, saluted the bat and jumped down, turned on his Repulsors, and with a barrel roll he headed towards the interception point. With a loud crash, the tunnel came down in front of the thug who was sneaking in. Alex managed to stop them from getting into the bank, but caused a lot of collateral damage, again. The bat vigilante, still on top of the building facepalmed before going down there himself. The man seemed professional, as he took down the thugs easily. Once they were tied down, he started questioning them on the whereabouts of their leader...

Meanwhile, somewhere else in the city, in a storage facility... A man, dressed in a purple suit was walking around, looking for something. He used a flashlight to shine over the military grade boxes, walking past all sorts of weapons, obviously looking for something specific.

Letting out a soft sigh, Kivuli found himself wandering around storage areas. He paused for a second to remove his contacts from his eyes so his natural red glowed in the dim light. Walking to a high fence, he tilted his head to one side, wondering what was on the other side that needed a high fence to protect it. He pulled his hood up and over to shadow his face which just made his eyes glow brighter.

Jumping up, he clung onto the fence and flipped over the barbed wire on top. Once over, he walked to the storage and looked around. Finding one door open, he sneaked in silently. Looking around, a soft whistle came from him as he peeked under a tarp. "Mil tech.. in the city storage?" He murmured to himself. But why was the door unlocked? I don't get it. You'ld think this stuff would be locked up more secure. Unless.. someone else is currently in here.

The teen hid under a tarp and listened, waiting to see if there was another in the storage room.

The Failed One

A yowl of terror rang from an abandoned alley, the animal nearly sprouting wings in its need to flee. The cause of the poor feline bellowed after it, a territory roar as it returned to its quest for nourishment through trashcans. Pulling fresh trashbags to slice open with its talons, jerking it's head across a stubborn bag, spreading the contents of each upon the ground. Birb, a name it had held onto through its mix-matched memories, gathered what it believed to be the least rotten to a more protected area, a low rumbling purr vibrating it's skull as it made its way through the hazardous blockage. Birb's Raven-skull head bumped with a large clang as the exmutant collided with a metal ladder, its' gargle of pain too quiet to be noticed by normal passers-by, Birb's echolocation still a fresh lesson upon survival.

'Birb... Feel... Strange... New... Place? Food... Taste... Same... Vibrations... Are... Different... Hate... New... Things... New... Things... Hurt...'

Thoughts were like leaves on a lake, completely at the mercy of what sensations were left to him...

'Oh... Birb... Not... It... Birb... Guy? What... Guy?'

ADAM spoke into Alex's earpiece again. "I just picked up a proximity sensor alert. Already cross-referenced the location. It matches a S.H.I.E.L.D. compound. However the records show that the warehouse is a property of Wayne Enterprises. Video feed from the camera incoming." A small screen appeared on Alex's HUD, showing a hooded person jumping the fence. "Probably some punk." Alex said after which he turned to the masked vigilante. "Hey, Bats, there's some punk messin' at Wayne Enterprise warehouse. I'll go check it out" He powered up the Repulsors, but then figured he would need to contact the Bat somehow for the future. "Hey! Take this" The forearm of the suit opened and Alex pulled another earpiece from it, and threw it at Batman's direction. "Call me if you need anything. Because I will certainly call, if I need help." He then flew away towards the warehouse.

It took him not more than a couple of minutes to arrive, stealthed, of course. As he hovered above, he scanned the area. "The layout looks just like SHIELD compound. Could it be that this ended up here the same way, we did? How do you think, ADAM?" Alex was afraid of the answer. If he was correct, this specific SHIELD compound contained enough weapons to start world war 3. Whoever was inside, he shouldn't be allowed to get anything out. Alex landed gently, trying to make as less sound as possible. "ADAM, scan for life forms." A map of the compound appeared on the HUD, along with several dots. Zooming on the dots, which turned into human figures, projecting over ERS, Alex could see they have weapons. This means they were not here to do good. However the ERS noted another person, who seemed to be hiding. Maybe it was an employee, who was afraid not to get shot? Alex didn't have time to waste. He had to act. So he devised a plan. Whatever the weapons the baddies were holding, none of them could penetrate his armor. His only vulnerability for now was EMP. He walked to the wall, and waited patiently.

Alex unstealthed the suit, and with a punch, he pierced the wall, grabbing one of the assailants, pulling him through the wall, and slamming him on the floor. The others turned around, and opened fire in his general direction, with bullets deflecting from the titanium armor. "Seriously guys? Watch the paintjob!" Several mild Repulsor blasts later the armed men were dealt with. All that was left was their leader. Some creep with a clown face. "That's a very nice suit you got there!" The freak said. "Thanks, you should meet my designer. He has a great suit for you as well. Orange overalls, latest in Prison Fashion. "I don't want to bust your nuts, tin man, but I ain't going to jail." The man said, just as Alex felt a shock wave pass through him. The suit powered down. "Damn it!" Alex was now a monument, a statue. "You'll look good over my mantelpiece." the clown creep said, going over to one of the boxes. "Too bad I cannot keep you" He opened the box, which contained a lot of C4, and started building a wall around the man of iron, humming some song.

Kivuli started lightly at the sound of metal going through a wall. "What the-?" He listened to the gunshots, making a face at the sharp noises. "Great.. now to lay low or let hell loose." He grumbled to himself as he wondered about the yells and sounds echoing in the large storage.

He flinched as a weird sensation went through him. The teen blinked at the sound of tech powering down and the sudden silence. What was going on?

Unable to resist the urge of curiosity, he carefully moved the tarp and crawled out from under it on the side opposite all the noise. Peering around the object, he stared for a few moments. Okay so.. that dude.. Iron-something? I should pay more attention to the news.. And that shitty excuse of a.. clown? gross.. It appeared no one had noticed the glowing eyes yet which meant he would have the element of surprise. Ah sheesh. Smart thing would be to just walk away but.. I can't. It'll be more blood on my hands if I turn a blind eye.

Tugging his hood down as far as it would go, he pulled the strings and loosely knotted them. Kivuli tucked the hood's strings into the hood so they wouldn't get in the way. Okay.. let's free the tincan. Or get shot freeing the tincan, whichever happens first. And here I had hoped this pair of shoes were gonna last me a month. Bracing his shoes on the floor, he psyched himself up, stiring up still energy. Bursting forward, red energy appeared around his shoes acting as friction barrier and making his steps silent. In half a second, he was up close and personal in the clown's face. With energy refocused to his fists, he crouched on Ironman, a foot on the other's head and shoulder. Flinging himself in a flip to behind the clown, the teen hooked his arms around the clown's neck mid flip. As his feet got closer to the ground, he made some energy under his feet to give him a boost. Hopefully, the momentum of his flip would drag the clown back and the boost to continue the flip instead of getting pulled down by the clown would fling the clown further back onto his back. Kivuli would likely break his nose in a face plant from the move. But, he could recover in literally seconds and be fighting again.

"As I already said - I won't accept anything until you tell me everything." Clara repeated. "As I do not know anything for what you are talking about right now, I just want to make things clear. You know - you shouldn't put your sign under a document you haven't read. So, I'm listening to your opinion why you need me and what do you want me to do." Clara finally showed signs of interest. She really didn't want to enter a mess, bigger than the one she was in right now. Indeed, that was maybe the best option to get out of here immediately. but she won't risk until she has all of the information she need. Even the reason of her defeat a few hours ago was caused of lacking information. At least she got a note from it and started being even more careful of the things she gets involved with.

Caught by surprise, the Joker fell victim to the kid's attack, falling on his ass in a confused state. With no sensors, Alex could only hear the muffled sounds of what was happening, along with barely seeing it from the holes in the eyes. Fortunately after losing contact with Alex, ADAM sent a backup suit to the target location, as well as notifying Police, Ambulance, Fire brigade, and of course - Batman. They arrived within minutes. The backup armor broke down the fried suit, assembling itself over Alex. However the Joker had one more trick up his sleeve. He was holding the detonator to all that stacked C4, which was enough to blow the whole warehouse, along with Alex and that new kid that just appeared out of nowhere.

After the initial shock, the Joker recovered. He pulled out a knife and attempted to stab the kid, in order to free himself. With Alex preoccupied with the C4, and with Batman running late, the kid was alone, versus an armed psychopath with a detonator. "Come at me, boy! I'll slice ya like a birthday cake!" he swung the knife a couple of times, showing he was serious. Hearing that, Alex's attention shifted to the clown, who held the detonator with one hand and the knife in the other. "ADAM, estimate blast radius." Alex spoke to his robotic assistant. "Upon activating, the explosives will most likely blow the entire facility. Considering the amount of ammunition, we are talking about a devastation of around a block." The bad news kept coming. And now Alex had to think about saving that kid. In an event of a blast, Alex could survive, but that kid, although seemingly possessing some sort of metahuman ability, was in danger.

"Bats, I need some help here!" Alex spoke in the earpiece, knowing that the masked avenger could hear him. "I'm on my way with the Bat-wing!" He answered. "If we survive this, I swear, I am making you a suit!" Alex teased the bat vigilante, knowing that his technology was inferior to Alex's. "So what's it gonna be, fellas? Shish-kebab or barbecue? You decide!" He waved the detonator and the knife. "You realize I can Repulsor blast your crazy ass into a mental institution, right?" Alex raised his hands at the clown. "And I can barbecue your metal ass like a can of beans, so shut your trap!" The clown was out of options. With Alex on the scene, that metahuman kid, and Batman nearing the scene, he was heavily outnumbered and outgunned! However the stalemate they were in was still deadly.

Annabelle couldn't help but chuckle. "I'll  put in simpler words for you then darling. I want to be your sponsor. To fund and support your endeavors or 'revenge' as you would see it. Its clear that we might have the same adversary, one of which being Mr. Mercer. You were right.you don't need rehab, vengeance is just healing." She leaned back into her chair. "However there is a hitch, I don't want to be the only one walking the mile. I will ask things to be carried out. Especially when it comes to the Joker. As dashing as he is;  he's someone the old bat is to morally idiotic to kill and is, excuse my language, a bastard that needs to be shown his place. A pleasant way to think about it is that you'll have another victim to freeze... I will assist you of course yet I wanted you to know in advance. So are you in or out?"

@Crimson YaMi

Kivuli barely managed to not break his nose by creating a barrier of energy between his face and the ground. He rolled and jumped up, watching the clown. His red eyes narrowed to slits as he watched the other slash at the air. A thin smirk curled up on his face, shadowed by his hood. "A knife? Seriously dude? Your pals all had guns, and you're flinging a flimsy piece of metal around?" Red energy formed around the detonate in the Joker's hand, turning stable and shielding the buttons from being pressed.

A dark chuckle came from the teen as he considered the idea of what might have happened if the place blew up. "You really think you're something, dotcha clown? Have you ever been burned alive? Do you understand what pain means?" Kivuli was frankly peeved at the Joker and thinking about what might have happened didn't make him any happier. He could have easily shielded himself from the explosion. However, he would have been surrounded by fire. He hated fire. He hated it so much he could kill whoever threatened him with it.

The teen barely noticed that his mind had switched on him. A murderous gleam was in his eyes. He wasn't like most other 'do-gooder' in the sense he valued life just as much as a villain did. At least, that's what he told himself. Images flashed through his mind of kills he had made. How he hardly bothered to remember them. That was what he was after all, right? Just a killer, no better than the clown in front of him. But he was better. He was a trained mercenary who was at the top of the chain.

Bursting forward, he formed blades of energy in each hand and sliced Joker's knife like a top notch laser slices any metal. He made the blades vanish and attacked Joker with insane speed. Going for a round house kick just below the midrift, he prepared to follow with a literally explosive punch with both hands.

"So, you want the piece of scrap iron out of the game?" A smile crawled onto her face. "I'll do that, but the chances of ending here again are a bit high." Clara knew that her enemy can outsmart her with ease, the same way he did it the first time. "And about the Joker - I can't promise anything. We all know that he's unpredictable." Clara started thinking if she misses something important. "Oh, yeah, and two more things. The first one is... avoid angering me. I can't stay calm for a long period of time and almost everything can trigger me. That's also the reason I'm mostly alone. And the second one... It is about a person, and I think everything will be OK as long as I don't encounter her."

 @Robyn Banks

A cop, that was in Annabelle's pocket came in, and whispered to her about what was happening at the warehouse. "Ma'am,  Lt. O'Connely sent me to inform you that the Joker and his people have engaged Batman, Iron Man and one more unknown metahuman, capable of bending energy." He was keeping his voice down unsure if he would let Annabelle's new friend know about this.

Meanwhile at the warehouse, the Joker was overwhelmed by the kid. And quite frankly, Alex was too. "One of Xavier's kids, no doubt." He looks like he was trained and judging by the kid's ferocity, Alex decided it was Wolverine who trained him. Or at least that was what Alex thought, since he had no record of this kid. However Alex was glad the kid was on his side, mainly because of that energy barrier that prevented the Joker from blasting the entire city block sky high. Seeing that the kid can handle himself, Alex decided to switch his attention back to disarming the bombs.

"So you think you have me? Well, I still have a trick up my sleeve!" The joker laughed, as he was stepping back away from the kid, eventually stumbling and falling to the ground, right next to a box with a bird symbol on it. "Oh, look! I found it!" He kicked the box, which started to vibrate and glow in a bright blue light, eventually bursting, showering Kivuli with sharp wood chips. Flying around defusing bombs, Alex got the heads-up from ADAM. "Spacial anomaly detected!"

latest
When the dust settled, a man dressed in green was standing in its place, holding a glowing blue cube in one hand and a scepter in another. His golden helmet had 2 twisted horns on them and his robes seemed other worldly. "Ah, free at last!" He said, looking around, with his eyes landing on the Joker. "Who are you, mortal?!" He questioned the crazy clown. "Who am I? Well, I am the Joker, I just freed you from that box... So you must be the jack-in-the-box then? HAHA!!" The Joker laughed, clearly underestimating the situation. "Well, Joker, you are lucky you did, because I would dismember anybody who talks to me like that. My name is Loki, and I am your god!" the stranger introduced himself, just as Alex arrived back, having all the bombs defused. "Ah, shit..." Those were his only words, seeing the man standing before him. "Ah, if it isn't my good old friend, Mr. Stark!" He aimed the scepter at Alex and shot a blast, throwing him to the opposite side of the warehouse. The Joker got up and started clapping. "Oooh, goodie, do it again!" He was like a child standing before his mentor. "Master!" He added in the end, tickling Loki's pride. He raised the scepter again, firing another volley, but this time against the teen.

Wait.. what the heck am I doing? Kivuli was suddenly realizing his mind had gone down the wrong path as he approached Joker with two orbs of energy in his hands. One orb disappeared as his resolve faltered, and he was taken by surprise as wood chips stung his face. Instinctively shielding his eyes with his energy, the teen winced at the tiny cuts that appeared on his face.

He had fallen back on his butt from the burst and was now staring with an incredulous expression at Loki. Of course, it was hard to see anything but his widened eyes thanks to the hood. Kivuli glanced over at Ironman and watched quietly as the evil duo traded introductions. Mortal? Ah geeze, don't tell me the princess guy is like my darlin' ole granny. I don't think the same time thing can really happen twice though.. Maybe he's one of those people with crazy ass lifespans?

Tilting his head to one side, the teen watched the scepter fire and fling Ironman. He winced in sympathy at the sound of the impact then instantly was on high alert when the staff was pointed at him. "Hey uhh.. can't we talk this over?"

Shots were fired, and he barely ducked a couple as he scrambled to his feet. As it turned out, he should have stayed down. As soon as he was on his feet, he dodged another energy blast just for pain to explode in his right shoulder and fling him in a spin against one of the tarp covered weapons. Thudding into the metal, Kivuli winced as his shoulder did not let up screaming at him. "Oww.. gahh.. look beetle-head, we haven't met before-" He let out a suppressed hiss of pain as he attempted getting up. His body sending off warnings that it'll give him hell if he moves too much. "-and this is a real sorry way in introduce yoreself. Then again, ugly here didn't do a great job either."

Kivuli had not noticed that his hood was ripped and no longer shielding his face from view. His slightly larger than usual eyes gave him the appearance of looking younger than he is, and with his facial features revealed, his height couldn't be mistaken for an petite adult. His scruffy mess of hair was singed slightly from one of Loki's energy blasts that got too close.  He poked at his right shoulder. "Ah, greaaat.. you dislocated it, you shit."

Alex attempted to get up, but the damaged suit was more of a burden than it helped. Alex was strong enough to get up, despite the malfunction, his suit broken from the energy blast, sparks running in the holes and across the different armor plates. "Just as I thought my day can't get any worse" Alex's heads up display was malfunctioning, It was retreat time. Fortunately for him, Batman arrived just in time.

Seeing the Joker with the other person, he turned towards Alex, who was struggling, and then at the injured teen. "I would love to stay here, but I have more important things to do!" Loki looked at the 3 "heroes" the same way he would look at beaten up dogs. He flipped around, his mantle covered him and the Joker and they disappeared. "Easy there, son." He walked over to Kivuli. "If it's dislocated, we have to fix you up." While Batman was taking care of the teen, Alex made his way to the duo. "Who was that guy?" Batman added, as the question was aimed at Alex. "You know how our universes merged after the aliens, well, this guy comes from mine. He is called Loki, and he is the son of Odin..." Alex started explaining. "You telling me this guy came out of a fairy tail?" Batman was not buying it. "Well, you asked and I answer. He comes from Asgard and has issues, wants to rule the world. Last time he tried, I stopped him, by flying a nuke in the portal he opened." Alex felt bad about using Stark's feats as his own, but he had to cover for his mentor, at least until he finds out where he is. "And seeing he has the cube and the scepter, he is bound to try again. I can't stop him Alone. Last time I was a part of a team!"

Batman still wasn't fully trusting Alex, but he agreed that this man was a menace. And to make matters worse, he allied himself with the Joker. That alone was enough of a reason for him to trust Alex to some extent. "I'll help you." He stood up, helping the teen up as well. "Now, we gotta take this young fellow to a real doctor." Alex had another idea. "How about I handle this." He had a feeling that doctors wouldn't help. He still thought that the kid was one of Xavier's X-Men. "You have to start looking for those two as soon as possible. I am not able to do so, in my current condition. Besides, if we are going to be partners, you are in a dire need of an upgrade. You won't survive the Chitauri like this." He walked towards the kid, as the bat nodded and made his way outside to his batwing. He was feeling annoyed. "You won't survive the Chitauri like this.... Psh. Showoff!" he mumbled as he got in.

If Kivuli had his natural ears, he would have pinned them flat at the man in a grey custom.  He did not though so he settled for narrow-eyed wary looks. As he looked at the man's cape, he was reminded of being bundled up in black capes and even being strangled by a black cape. His flat tone came out more edged than he had intended when he responded. "It's dislocated."

Decided whatever he sounded like did not really matter, the teen listened to Alex's explanation of Loki. Good grief, sounds like a couple of my relatives, just human and more ambitious. He instinctively tried to avoid any physically contact with Batman as they both got up. Once up on his feet, he suddenly realized his hood was no longer offering security. Feeling exposed, a flash of panic raced through his mind, likely reflected in his expressive red eyes. His breath hitched, and Kivuli dimly realized that he had been automatically breathing in a way that helps relieve pain.

Doctor? He could have sworn his heart stopped for a millisecond. Oh hell no! His gaze shifted to the person who was in a rather beaten metal suite. A hopeful look came in his eyes at an easy way out of avoiding those doctor people and hospitals in general. With some relief in his mind, Kivuli was more aware of the pain in his shoulder. For some reason, the pain reminded him he also had vocal cords. "Don't I get a say in any of this?" He attempted a light hearted tone but realized the tone came out in a sarcastic growl. Suppressing the urge to growl again, he played with the idea of bolting as he added. "Look, ya guys look strong enough to fix it yoreself. O' course, if ya can't get courage up to do it, I can always do it myself. There's plen'y stuff to slam a joint back in place 'round here."

Alex understood the kid far too well. "I feel you, kid, no need to act. Doctors ask questions." Alex looked at the shoulder, with ADAM providing a scan of the place. "My instinct tells me you are far from ordinary human." He tried to shift the conversation away from the pain in his shoulder. "I saw what you did. Are you one of the X-men?" Alex bluntly asked the kid about his alliance. Considering what he saw earlier, it must have been. Or maybe he was this world's version of it?

Not being certain he could help, yet not wanting to leave the kid alone, Alex decided to try to break the ice. "What's your name?" He removed his hand armor, allowing himself a better touch, and took the kid's arm, ready to twist it into place. As soon as the kid was ready to respond, Alex twisted the hand, popping the shoulder back into place. The experience was painful, but once the shoulder was back on, the pain should have stopped. "There, don't hate me so much for doing this." Alex tore a piece of his sleeve and made a make-shift cradle for his hand. "Avoid moving it too much for a couple of hours. And put some ice on it as soon as you get home. It should be enough! Now, let's get you home!"

After making sure the kid was safe, Alex returned to his HQ in the skyscraper, but not before making sure he gives the kid one of his communicators as well. If Loki was out there, he could need all the help he could get. Once at the HQ, he separated from the suit and left it for repairs. He threw himself on the couch, lighting up a cigar. "What a day!"

Raine  was in the city, wandering the back streets she avoided people now with the spirit in the back of her mind she heard every grievance, every crime, every slight these people preformed and those preformed against them.  It was not something someone could take and when she came upon the most vile of people the spirit urged her  to let him free  even if they had already repented and served their time. Still her choice to go in the darker corners of the city had it's own problems and those problems were rearing their ugly heads  Raine didn't notice it until the hand was on her shoulder and she was spun around.  Behind her  there were three people all men  all looking to be in their 20's it was obvious they were members of some small gang  and the spirit  confirmed this as he listed of their names and their crimes.  They were all  hardened each having  committed everything from  petty theft to murder and they had not been caught.  They were far from super villains, just minor minions at best still they were criminals and to the spirit there was only one punishment death, no matter the crime all were equally deserving of punishment. That was why Raine was with him she was the one that understood the difference between justice and raw vengeance and how little it really fixed things.

It was only once one of them held a knife to her throat that she came out of her almost trance like state the spirit having  distracted her  enough that the thugs threat went unheeded.  It was almost funny these people had no idea they were threatening someone that was dead, just the ghost of a girl people like them had killed already.  She then realized the leader of them was threatening this was her last chance and  she grabbed his hand on her shoulder.  " No it's your last chance run." She said pulling his hand off her despite her almost sickly look.

The thug while surprised  laughed and so did the others  only then did they notice  the ally was filling with green smoke.  They started to look afraid as the smoke instead of attacking them  enveloped  their former target. The smoke grew and  soon where there had once been a small frail looking girl now there was a tall pale man.  " She did warn you" He said to an unspoken question as he grabbed the leaders arm  breaking it  in an instant. While others might hold back against scum The Spectre didn't vengeance was being dealt out, vengeance for every crime these men had committed.

The two not in his iron grip decided to run only to find themselves at a dead end, there was a way out but they simply could not see it the illusion of the ally ending being projected by the spectre. The two panicked where they had sought an easy target  they had stumbled upon something far worse than they could have expected.  The spectre let go of the first leaving him on  the ground almost floating  across the green fog  gathering on the ground as even the sun seemed to fade away leaving only them and him in this closed space.  " You are afraid aren't you" he said rather than ask them " Yes you are just like them  your uncle begged didn't he" he said looking to one of them who looked shocked " You could have let them go  they wouldn't have told anyone but you had to kill your own brothers" he said to the other.

" Your sins have come vengeance for the wrongs  you have committed' he said   his hand glowing with untold power ready to  tear these men apart  and splatter them across the city, but in the back of the Spectres mind Raine stopped him stopping the violence. " Your kind do not change scum, criminals, sinner forever create judges justice is not what I am, I am vengeance. " he said not to them but to Raine. The two had, had this conversation many times each time the Spectre tried to get her to let him use his full power instead of these trick and each time she stopped him.  " You two have gotten  very lucky' he said relenting to Raine's pleas.

What happened to the criminals was terrifying their worst  fears and greatest sins  brought back inside their own minds. By the end they would have likely welcomed death over what the Spectre had done, still they were alive and once they  had a few broken bones in their legs the Spectre tossed them out of the ally they woudl confess to any crime they did even if they weren't even asked about them.  Then  seeing this as his chance to  get on the backlog of people deserving of his vengeance he  faded walking into the darkness and off to continue his work elsewhere.

Alex was sitting on the couch, head leaning back, looking at the ceiling. The fatigue was taking its toll on the young man and he fell asleep. While he was having a well deserved nap, his computerized assistant, ADAM was working diagnostics on the multiple suits Alex had in storage. Most of them were Tony Stark's but Alex did his part in expanding the collection. Apart from that, he also had ordered ADAM to work on something special, based on the Mark 41 suit, codenamed "Bones". While the machines were working, ADAM was also scanning the city for unusual activities, since now Loki was present.

Meanwhile, Batman was back to patrolling the streets. Unlike Iron man, who used technology to his advantage, Batman was old fashioned. He preferred to do things personally. He was moving from building to building, alley to alley, questioning every scumbag he could find about the Joker's whereabouts. Alas, with no success. However...

A yowl of terror rang from an abandoned alley....

'Birb... Feel... Strange... New... Place? Food... Taste... Same... Vibrations... Are... Different... Hate... New... Things... New... Things... Hurt...'

'Oh... Birb... Not... It... Birb... Guy? What... Guy?'

He jumped down the alley, coming face to face with the creature. "What in the...." He was having hard time believing what he was seeing. He prepared a weapon, just in case the creature was hostile. But without Iron Man's equipment, he had no way of knowing what the thing was. "What are you?" He was speaking slowly, and trying not to scare the thing or provoke it. "Do you understand my words?"

Kivuli's relief was short lived when Alex stated that he was not an ordinary human. Now the teen had a situations as he tried to figure out if he should say he was not human at all or try to make off like he was human with strange abilities. Both Ironman and Batman he noticed were definitely human so.. Then Ironman asked him if he was one of the X people. The who? I guess I could say I am.. But I have no idea who they are or what their motives are so for all I know they could be a bunch of wanted nutcases. Then again.. the name rings a bell.. a positive one. Maybe I have heard of them? Stinkin' memory.. got more holes than that weird cheese.

Realizing he was just spacing out in his thoughts, the teen quickly snapped himself back to Alex's somewhat patient face. "..who the hell are they?" He asked, allowing his confusion into his tone and body language. Kivuli shook his head just to let out a suppressed gasp of pain at the movement. "Ah crap.." He grumbled to himself before turning his eyes to Alex again. "If the real quiz is 'what's yore social clique?' the answer is none. As to what I am.. ya can figure that out by yoreself." He smirked slightly.

Kivuli visibly tensed when Alex took a hold of his arm. Most experiences in his past with adults grabbing hold of him never ended well. Realizing what Ironman was up too, he forced himself to relax, knowing also that it would hurt more with his muscles tensed. He set his teeth and let out a hiss of pain, blood coming from his mouth as he accidentally bit his tongue. His voice was slightly higher pitched from the pain as he answered. "..s-small time papers are calling me 'S-shaded Light'.. which is kinda ironic.. I used to go by Shade in the past." Using his free hand, Shade wiped the blood from his mouth and took a deep breath, trying to calm his body down after the shock of pain. A thin, shaky smile of amusement drifted onto his face as Alex instructed him on how to look after his shoulder.

Frowning at the idea of 'home', Kivuli gave Ironman a false address to take him home too. No way he was just instantly trust the guy with his main location. Looking doubtfully at the communicator, he watched Ironman leave before going to the house and opening the door. Walking in, he was glad that he knew the place as he helped out the elderly gardener. The lady of the house looked surprised when Kivuli came in, looking him up and down critically. "What have you been doing?"

"Ya won't believe me if I said. Where's Jeff?"

"At home.. like you should be, it is late."
