Day 1 - Monday - 0800 hrs

The day was peaceful, as much as a city of 8.4 million people could be. The morning rush hour traffic was the biggest problem many of the citizens had to worry about. The cataclysmic events of the merger of the worlds were long forgotten and everybody was enjoying their newly found peace and quiet, under the protection of the new heroes. Between all the cars stuck in traffic a young man, mid 20s is sitting in his upper class car, patiently waiting for the traffic to clear, while he was on his way to work. To take his mind off the problem, he had his radio on the current news, which were no news to him.

"And it is another warm day of fall in the city of New York. The streets are lined in traffic, so you better brace yourselves for another long ride to work!" The radio host was announcing the news. "Speaking of hot, I have to mention that Supergirl helped the fire department again last night, helping them extinguish the fire and save people trapped on the upper floors...." The radio continued to babble, causing the young man to chuckle. He enjoyed listening to the news about superheroes, as it gave him not only hope, but also inspired him. Where he came from there were no heroes, capable of those things. They had to rely on training or gadgets, in order to help, so it was nice having somebody with superhuman abilities around.

Alex Mercer

30 minutes later the young man's car pulled up to a sky-scraper parking lot. The driver exited the car and made his way towards the elevator. He kept following the superhero news on his phone, as he walked inside the building. "Good morning, Mr. Mercer!" The man was greeted by the woman behind the counter at reception. "Morning, Suzie!" The man replied, heading towards the elevator. After a short ride, he arrived at floor 114, where he exited the elevator to a waiting era, furnished with stylish sofas and coffee tables. There was an unmanned bar with several beverage machines and a door, that had "ALEX MERCER, CEO" label on it. The man opened the door and entered the office area. The inside of the office was furnished just as stylish as the lobby, in white, with azure LED lighting, giving it a futuristic feel. However, instead of opting for the comfortable leather chair, the man headed towards the back, where a big human-sized cabinet stood. He opened the cabinet, exposing several bottles of spirits. The man did something in that cabinet, causing it to rotate, like a swinging door, reveling a secret room behind it. As soon as he entered, the cabinet slid back to its original position.

The secret room looked more like a workshop from a sci-fi movie, with a semi-circular table, lined with monitors and keyboards right after the door. On the other side, there were several cars and bikes, and the hallway ended with a curved tunnel. The man clapped his hands, causing the monitors to light up. 3D holograms covered the cars and bikes showing all sorts of data on several machines, along with clips of superheroes doing the right thing.

A robotized male voice greeted the man. "Good Afternoon, Mr. Mercer!" The man looked at all the monitors and smiled. "Alright, A.D.A.M., What do you have for me today?" He spoke. The robotized voice answered him. "You have several meetings to attend today, all of them with leading companies. Also your mother's birthday approaches, so you need to finally get her a gift. And last but not least, you have your interview with the Daily Planet scheduled for 11:30 AM with Mr. Kent!" The voice went through Alex's schedule in detail, causing Alex to get a little bit irritated. He would have loved to give an interview to a cute reporter, but they changed the appointment in the last minute to some nerdy 4 eyes called Clark Kent.

Kent Nelson

The sound of a screeching alarm on his phone  awoke Kent this morning. Yawning, the man grabbed his phone off of the bed stand and skimmed through his missed messages and emails. Damn. He had a meeting today about his recent heart transplant surgery, and him being one of the youngest doctors ever to do it. Grumbling he got up out of bed and made his way into the bathroom to get ready.

Emerging 30 minutes later, wearing a sleek white dress shirt, paired with a thin black tie, black slacks, and black dress shoes. Grabbing his doctor coat off of its hanger, along with an extra pair of scrubs if needed, he made his way to his duffle bag. Unzipping it, the golden helmet of Nabu was revealed. You can not keep me at bay Kent, the world needs Fate. Possibly I will not release you next time if you keep up. Sighing, he simply replied, "Yes I know Nabu. You just gotta give me som time that's all. I have a appointment then afterwards we can have a look around the city to dust off your old Egyptian head alright? Quit nagging me." Shoving his clothes in the bag, he quickly zipped it not wishing to talk to him any longer.

Driving to work, Kent listened to the news. All they spoke of were the heroes who appeared here and there, and their amazing feats. Hmph. Fate usually kept himself invisible during a encounter, for reasons unknown, but he didn't mind it. Pulling in the parking lot of the hospital, he quickly rushed inside hoping not to be spotted by any lingering reporter, he made his way to his office. No appointments today, he'd been giving a few days off for the heart surgery he just did, so maybe he'd give Fate a few days. Sighing he tossed the bag and sat down, staring out the large window that looked over the city.

Remy Lebeau

The skilled thief rubbed auburn hair while a yawn escaped between his lips. Flipping through the channels with a nice, fresh cup of coffee in his other hand. His loyal brown leather coat was laying on the back of a nearby chair. The Cajun glanced at his phone, but there was no missed calls, no unread messages. "Guess this'll be it." Gambit thought out loud, taking a sip from his coffee. His career in the X-men had come to a sudden halt after his involvement with Mister Sinister and the Mutant Massacre had come to light. Even his precious Cher hadn't been able to look at his properly after his cards had been laid bare before everyone.

Gambit, as he was now more known as, drank the rest of his coffee before snatching his coat and heading outside. Tucking a fresh pair of playing cards into his secret pocket before he headed outside.

It was early still, but the city was busy with life. People and even more people headed to work, school... Gambit easily moved in between the mass. While his eyes unnatural eyes were strange, no one paid mind to him. Having learned this early on in his life. Popping into the nearest Laundromat by the street, where he got a warm welcome from an elderly lady. "Ah, Remy! How wonderful to see you again." Mama Liz greeted him. "You look even more dazzling this morning, Mama Cher. Be careful or you might steal my heart." Gambit winked to the elder lady, who just giggled, patting his shoulder. "My rent, Mon Cher." Gambit handed an envelope over, Mama Liz counted the money carefully. "Well done, for once on time, boy." she smiled.

Clara Jones

Her alarm clock was frozen... again. Good thing Clara's neighbor was so nice to wake her up exactly in 8:00 AM, as he was screaming to his son to get out of his bed already. That was everyday routine. She prepared herself and checked if everything is alright. She wrote a message on a sticky note and as she was leaving she stuck it on her neighbor's door. The message she left there was to thank him that he woke her up. She had plenty of time, so she decided to get the long way and to use it as an opportunity to solve the problem with her clock. She was aware that she can't rely on her neighbor forever. That was the only reason to keep him alive, as he wasn't one of the quieter ones. Clara mostly hated the moments when the kid was playing games until 3 AM and yelling at the screen.

The day seems to be warmer, and Clara kinda liked it. "I hope today will be a good day." She walked an empty side street, so it didn't bother her to think out loud. Little by little, she approached her workplace. As she arrived, she still had a time before the start of her work day, but she decided to enter the facility. When she entered her office she saw the list with today's tasks, that made her a bit annoyed. For the time she had, she built the idea how to do the tasks in logical order.

Alex Mercer

It was now time for Alex to get going. His interview was due in a couple of minutes, so he had to hurry. He didn't like making people wait. Before he went on his way, he had one more check to conduct. He pulled his sleeve a bit up, and picked up a black watch from the table, strapping it to his hand. The watch resembled an armored watch, that is available on the common market for high end watches. However this looked more exquisite instead of industrial and with much more attention to detail. Made from titanium with iridium dial, its arrows were glowing in a nice cool shade of light blue. He rotated the dial a minute or two, causing similar blue lights to appear over his body. With the rotation back, the lights disappeared. The test seemed to be successful, as he made his way out of the secret room, out of the office and finally out of the building. From the door, he could see the car waiting for him already.

After a short drive, Alex was at the restaurant, where he was supposed to meet the reporter. "Ah, Mr. Mercer!" A man with a dorky look got up from his seat as he saw Alex enter the hall. "And you must be Mr. Kent!" Alex said, reaching for a handshake. After introductions were out of the way, Mr. Kent proceeded with the interview. It was a bother how Alex had to talk to this man, dodging his allegations that he appeared on the spotlight as CEO of this corporation, just as the man in the iron suit appeared. The interview was boring and irritating, making Alex regret his decision of agreeing to it. Fortunately it was almost over. With that out of the way, Alex could focus on more important things.

Day 1 - Monday - 1244 hrs, Shady part of town

The slums - every town in the world had its dark side, and this town was no exception. Gang violence, drugs, prostitution, weapons, all of those ruled the streets. The law enforcement were overwhelmed. The scene was a cliche Hollywood shootout. On one side, several cop cars, sprayed by a bullet storm, and cops, hiding behind them, for dear life. On the other side, a house, with planks nailed over the windows, with small crevices big enough for a gun nozzle to be squeezed in. Walls covered by graffiti, and inside, gang members, armed with AK-47s and more bullets than brains. The SWAT team was nowhere to be found, and the police's call for help was unheard. The were left to fend for themselves. Some of them injured, others too afraid to raise their head, they needed a hero.

Alex Mercer

He walked outside and headed towards his car, when the watch beeped. Pulling it next to his mouth, Alex whispered. "What is it, A.D.A.M?" he asked. "I am afraid your help is needed, sir." The robotic assistant spoke back. "I'm on my way back to the company!" Alex said. "Help from the other you, sir." The robotic assistant corrected Alex, explaining about gang violence and shootout with the police. Alex nodded, and looked around, taking a turn in a dark alley. He flipped the dial of the watch. Several lights started shining over Alex's body, with the suit emerging soon after that over his body. When the face piece clicked on, the eyes lit up, Alex spoke to himself. "Let's roll!". With the unmistakable sound of a Repulsor blast Alex was already in the air, flying towards the location.

Gambit was counting his new deck of cards, it had felt strangely light after he had taken the case off. Having bought many the last time he had been shopping so this had missed his attention back then. Many at the shop thought him to be professional player and often Remy amused the ladies with simple card tricks. It was easy to master the basic ones with his agility and swift fingers.

"Ah, one is missing." Gambit sighed, seeing the King of hearts following the Jack. "The beautiful queen none the less." Gambit put the cards back into his pocket. When the flash of red, white and blue caught his attention. Police cars, heading straight towards Mama Liz's Laundromat. Biting his lower lip, Gambit swiftly moved to the back allies where it was much easier for the thief to follow the cars. To confirm where they were headed at least. Keeping in the shadows while moving on the rooftops, the police cars made no effort to hide where they were going for obvious reasons.

Just a little before the cars stopped, Gambit dropped back down to the streets to approach unseen. The old lady was safe, they were not near enough her store for her to be in harm. Mama Liz had taken him in when he had no other place to go. So this was the least he could do for her. "Guess I might just as well.." Remy sighed, feeling his pocket before going to take a look at what was really happening.

Kent Nelson

The rest of Kent's morning went by through a haze. He had examined another doctor's case, quickly finding the soulution, and waited on his office for the reporter. Eventually the woman arrived, as he quickly gave her a kinda greeting and invited her to take a seat. Throughout the interview he threw sarcastic remarks, to spice the dull thing up. And finally it was over, and gave the woman a goodbye and shut himself in his office. Sighing, he enjoyed the silence of the office. He was either listening to Nabu whine, or racing down into a operation room. But the relished silence was of course interrupted. "Kent, even though i'm sitting in this bag of yours, I can sense something is stirring downtown. If we go now, we can watch it conspire, and stay hidden. To mortal for me to intervine." "You know what? Fine." Grumbling, he zipped open his duffle bag, and slipped on the helmet.

Finally Kent had set him free. Opening his glowing blue eyes, Nabu quickly phased through the glass window, and shifted invisible. Following his senses, he silently flew to the location.

Clara Jones

Few hours later, Clara entered her boss' office. "Here." She threw a bunch of documents on the desk. "Mind your manners, Jones..." He got the documents and started reading. Shortly after that, he put them in the shredder. "And what are those supposed to be? I never wanted any of these statistics." That angered Clara and she gave him the task list. "You told me you wanted the information. I gave it to you. In a way your bald fat ass will understand it easier." The man wasn't happy to hear those words. "Excuse me??? How dare you talk to me like that? Take a fucking chill pill!" Clara was unable to restrain herself. "Chill..? CHILL?! How about YOU chill?!" She grabbed his neck and thrust him into the desk. That way she froze him, and after that - the desk turned into ice too. She left the office facility and headed home.

On her way she passed people walked on groups, talking about something a few times. The only thing she was seeing was their glares full with hate and was hearing how they were discussing her. She was hearing the voices of her past, which she didn't liked.

As she returned home she was finally able to release everything she was keeping until now. She grabbed her phone and started holding it like she was preparing to take a selfie. "New Earth, new beginning, blah, blah... Chance to change something, blah, blah..." She mocked. Then the phone froze. "NONSENSE!" She throw the phone in the wall, and the phone broke on pieces. as it was made from glass. "New Earth.. And what?! Same people, same idiots! Not worth even trying to achieve anything!"

Shady part of town

The situation was getting out of hand. The police were pinned down, but the Swat team finally arrived. They sure took their time. Their first priority was evacuating the injured, but that gave time for the criminals to make their exit. The thugs were buying time during the whole shootout so they could load everything from the house into a van, so they can make their escape. SWAT prepared to breach the door, but unfortunately they were attacking an empty house. The engine revs were a sign that the thugs were already leaving. A white van, followed by 2 cars crushed through the fence and through the police cars, ramming them off their way. Several cops went to their cars in an attempt to follow, but the thugs were armed. They started shooting on the police. With the shootout now mobile, the situation escalated to a level, that no ordinary person could handle. The only thing the cops could pray for now, was a miracle.

Alex Mercer

Mid flight towards the shootout he got another heads up from ADAM. "Sir, temperature shock in an office building in the center. The temperature in the office dropped to absolute zero. Possible Meta." Alex was now in a moral dilemma. He could help the police, but so could other heroes. A meta was something he had to handle. He changed the course and headed straight towards the office. Upon entry, he discovered a man frozen to his desk. "Poor guy!" He said. "Perfectly preserved for the generations, Sir!" ADAM Added. "Not the time for jokes, ADAM, we have an Iceman on the loose" Alex said to ADAM. Being from the Marvel universe, and an assistant to Stark, Alex could recall each and every metahuman and dangerous individual from his universe, from the files Stark was keeping. Every mutant, every person with extraordinary abilities and technology was probably on the loose somewhere in this new world. Alex decided that he was overwhelmed. He couldn't fight metahumans. He would need help. "Emergency crews are on their way, sir." ADAM made sure they were informed. "And about the shootout..." He reminded Alex. "Ugh, yeah, I'll be on my way!" Alex moved towards the window, taking off. "I am afraid the situation turned worse. They are now mobile, sir!" Alex turned pale. Fortunately the police cars that were following could be traced. "ADAM, I want you to track them!" Alex instructed the A.I. "First and Broadway, Second and Broadway, Third and Broadway!" ADAM was following the pursuit. Alex flew out the window. He was right on their way. His plan - to give the van a shoulder and stop it, by making it crush into him.

Fate/Nabu

Nabu floated silently, observing the scene beneath him unfold. The police were heavily struggling, silly mortals, an easy piece of prey. As he was about to swoop down, a robotic man, more than likely in armor, soared past him. Fate's armor protected him from any mortal technology, useful in the present time he was in due to its abundance. But this man intrested him. He wanted to find out more of this "metal man."

"Nabu, we have a job to do. Even though I do care for those cops, I slightly agree. I've heard of the Iron Man, and I say we see what he can do. But don't be rash." Kent's voice of reason echoed through his head. "Fine. We stay hidden, and intervene if nessicary." Muttering a spell in old Egyptian under his breath, he raised his hands, quickly teleporting to where this mysterious metal man location, a average office building.

The driver of the van slammed on his brakes as soon as he saw the man in the steel suit land on his way. However it was too late. The van slammed in Iron Man, with such force that it caused it to flip and land on its roof, right on top of the man in steel. The second car managed to react, but swerving caused it to overturn and hit the van. The third car had the most time to react, but the driver couldn't as he was looking back to the cops that followed them. The third car hit the second car and the van, stopping in its tracks.

Alex Mercer

The van hit him with at least 60 mph (100 km/h) and overturned, hitting Alex again from the top, effectively burring him with metal. Under the van Alex felt a second hit and then a third one. "Not my smartest move!" He muttered to himself, being in a bit of a pain. "Multiple contusions detected!" ADAM announced. "Yep, I detected them too!" Alex said, making an effort to stand. He emerged from the metal scraps. "Casualties?" He asked ADAM. "None, sir. Multiple fractures detected on occupants of all vehicles, but most of them minor. No fatal injuries." ADAM gave Alex the situation report.

The cops arrived soon after, pulling the both conscious and the unconscious occupants of the cars, giving them medical attention and then handcuffing them. One of the cops turned to the man in the iron suit. He knew there were heroes in this world, but he hadn't seen the man in metal before. "Who are you, son?" The cop asked. "I'm Iron Man!" Alex answered, kicking the empty van out of his way, so he can escape the wreckage. "Well, then, Thank you, Iron Man!" The cop said to Alex, who only saluted the cop back as a response and flew away. "Engaging stealth!" ADAM said, rendering Alex invisible again, allowing him to get back to his investigation of the iceman.

Clara Jones

Finally Clara calmed down a bit. She was aware of what she did back in the office, but it didn't bother her so much. She wasn't scared from humans going after her. It was just a matter of time for them to find out what had happened and who was responsible for that. The thing that actually bothered her was about the ones that called themselves heroes. Some of them weren't the human beings, that can end up just like her boss. Can they resist her powers? What they are capable of? There was no time for investigating, and probably if she start her investigation she won't be able to find anything useful. What should she do instead? Running and playing hide and seek wasn't in her style. She probably won't be able to remove anything connected to her in the office. She decided to act, that was the best option at the moment. She went out for a walk in order to find out how to deal with the problem if she got involved with it.

Gambit waited in the shadows, like he had been taught in his youth. Assessing the situation, there were robbers, cops. It looked all normal, something the police handled often. From the dark of the streets it was hard to spot him, unless one had heat vision. Only his red eyes were visible. Rubbing his chin, not sure if this was something he should get involved with. When the van took off suddenly. And in such a speed. Leaving Gambit wide eyed in it's wake. Had he been closer to the scene, he would have been able to do something. From his spot he saw a man in a metal suit fly down upon the van, having hard time. But in the end capture those criminals. "What do my old eyes see." Gambit chuckled, recognizing the armored suit as Iron Man. "Guess I am not needed here." he said before heading back to his place. Maybe visit Mama LIz and see if she had any news for him. Worth checking out.

Fate/ Nabu

Watching the Iron man take a heavy hit from a large metal truck. Nabu's interest growing, he watched as he continued to handle the situation. "Kent, I want to reveal ourself, this armored mortal cannot harm us." Fate thought silently, then Kent replied, "I don't have a problem with it. Just don't be rash, and make sure I get my body back in one piece please."

Nodding, he quickly changed his visibility, as he floated god-like midair. His threatening voice booming, Fate spoke, "I am Fate! I shall bring no harm to you mortals, but my interest grows for this mysterious "Iron Man." Bring yourself upon Fate."

Alex Mercer

Flying back to the office in stealth mode, Alex had retreated his mind in his own thoughts, when ADAM brought him back to reality with a warning. "Unfamiliar life-form detected!" Alex quickly fired his chest Repulsor back causing him to reveal and stabilize himself from Stealth to Visible and from flight to hover mode. Right in front him there was a man... Or at least it looked like a man. Alex was unsure what he was seeing, but at first glance, he was seeing a humanoid, about 6 ft tall, hovering in mid air. The humanoid was wearing a helmet and some other accessories, that looked golden and mystical. In fact, the only thing similar to him, Alex saw in 177A Bleecker Street, in the heart of New York City's Greenwich Village. "The scanning indicates unfamiliar power. The only similar records in my database are Scarlet Witch and Dr. Stephen Vincent Strange." ADAM quickly briefed Alex on what he was seeing. "I advice caution, Mr. Mercer!" ADAM Added in the end. "Seriously, you think? I was considering blasting this.... godlike figure and then probably get torn apart!" Alex was a bit angered how ADAM wasn't helping the situation. Then the godlike humanoid figure spoke.

"I am Fate! I shall bring no harm to you mortals, but my interest grows for this mysterious "Iron Man." Bring yourself upon Fate."

Alex let out a sigh of relief. At least the man or god or whatever he was came in peace. Which was good, considering how ill suited Alex was at the moment. (Pun intended). Alex decided it was time for him to introduce himself. "I am Iron Man! I protect this city, as much as I can!" Alex replied to the person, that called himself Fate. "Are you a friend of Dr. Strange?" Alex decided to make small talk, to hide what he considered to be fear at the time, but in fact was respect. Besides, if this... being... has abilities similar to Strange, Alex could use an ally like him, especially if there are metas roaming this city. In fact, that Fate character was in fact one of those metas...

Nabu/Fate

Crossing his arms, as his golden cape flapped gently in the wind, Nabu watched the Iron Man rise up. So he was a protector.... Nabu's thoughts were interrupted by Kent. "Nabu, I don't have a clue who Strange is, and I haven't heard of this man until about last month. Take precaution."

Taking his advice Nabu spoke, "You protect this city? I am a protector yes, depending on who needs me." Tilting his head slightly he continued, "I haven't heard of the man you speak of, but I have heard of you as of late. You intrest me Iron man."

Alex Mercer

Hovering with a damaged suit wasn't easy for Alex, but he didn't want to lose face against this new hero. He said he was a protector as well, so that means he is on his side. However not knowing Strange, meant that this one was from the other world, which in turn meant that Alex needed to gather data. "We come from different worlds, Mr. Fate. But we share a common goal." Alex told the man with the mask, slowly making his way towards him. "I am currently dependent on this suit of armor, I cannot stay for long." Alex was reminded by ADAM of his damaged suit during the conversation several times. "But I would like to know more about somebody as powerful as yourself, as well." Alex had to go, but he had to stay and get to know as much as he could about this character. He decided to take a leap of faith. "Go to Mercertech, Mr. Fate. Ask for Tony Stark. Until we meet again!" Alex made a move that resembled a failed attempt to bow, but considering the fact they were hovering in mid air, and his suit was damaged, it was a good attempt. After paying his respects, Alex flew away, losing balance thanks to the damage.

Getting back at the company secret workshop, he landed at the designated pad, and started walking towards the inner side. On the way the suit was disassembled from him, and taken in for repair. As he walked through the hallway, he looked at the other Iron Man suits he managed to reverse engineer. Most of them were black and white, and bigger than the one he was wearing. They looked bulkier and slower than the one he wore, but that made them sturdier and with heavier armament. Alex walked out of the secret room, making sure ADAM closed the door. Once in his office, Alex spoke to ADAM again. "Open up a new file, ADAM, call it Fate. I want all information you can gather for the individual we encountered. He felt much more powerful than Strange, but if he is at least on his level, we could need him for the initiative. Also, I want information of all uncounted superheroes and their affiliation. All of them on separate files. Then open another new file, and I want all dangerous individuals with metahuman abilities declassified there." Alex kept giving instructions, making sure ADAM was fully occupied, until Alex goes around his duties as CEO. "Oh, ADAM, one more thing, I want you to send out a coded transmission, using the code we had back in the Avengers. I want to know the location and status of all our comrades. And if you could, please look if there is Charles Xavier on this earth... His... Students... are very talented and might prove useful." After ADAM gave him his acknowledgement, Alex left the office and went on with his job. He was also expecting Fate to show up, that's why he had ADAM operate a suit, just in case. Alex felt bad to lie, but he had to know the person's intentions, before he reveals himself. So far, nobody knew that Alex Mercer was behind the suit, and he intended to keep it that way, at least until he finds the real Iron Man.

Clara decided to take a look in the bookstores, and even buy a newspaper if she finds something interesting. But since was it already approaching mid afternoon, most of the newspapers were already sold out. As she was just about to take it, a man right before her grabbed it. That annoyed her, but she managed to calm herself, wasn't something big enough to be worth killing for right in front of so many people. She left the store as soon as she bought a book that she thought would help her to relax after she goes home. She caught all red lights in traffic as she was just about to cross the road and that angered her even more.

Already on half her way to home, walking through a small alleyway that most people evaded using, Clara found herself on the ground. As she got up, she found herself surrounded by four men. Probably they were the reason she was on the ground. "Did the young lady got lost?" One of the men started speaking and pulled out a knife on her. The one right next to him continued. "As long as you are a good girl." Clara started to laugh. "And if I am not? Sorry to disappoint you, but you have the wrong person to tell this nonsense!" She disarmed the man with the knife. The knife froze the second it was fully in her hand. That scared the men and they tried to run away. "Now what? Running away from a little girl? You were so strong just a second ago?" Clara raised an ice wall, blocking the alley and everybody inside... "Once you have seen this, I cannot let you escape.. In fact, I cannot let you live either!" She took a step forward, shortening the distance between herself and one of the attackers. She put her finger on his forehead, turning him in an ice statue. The others, she impaled with icicles. "Killed by ice-cream. What a way to die!" She picked her book from the ground and continued on her way.

Alex Mercer

As Alex was going on with his duties, ADAM spoke in his earpiece. "Temperature spike detected. Drone inbound to target location" The concerning news came at a bad time. "Great! How is the status on the suit going, ADAM?" Alex felt like this was going to get interesting quick. However his primary suit was damaged and he had to wear something a little bit... different. "Repairing. 40% completed!" ADAM answered, keeping his replies short. "That's unfortunate. Alright, I guess I'll need to wear something else for this party." He rotated the dial of the watch again, changing some numbers on it. The light on his chest shined through his clothes, and yet another suit assembled around it. "Let's test the Mark 40!"

This suit was much weaker from what Alex usually wore, but it was the fastest he could think of. He walked outside and blasted off, reaching supersonic speed in an instant. This suit was unlike the others. What it lacked in armor and firepower it overcompensated with speed and agility, with its strong back Repulsor. Landing at the location, Alex inspected the Ice wall and the frozen men. "Seems like they were frozen solid, sir." ADAM analyzed the situation. "Not only on the surface, but on cellular level." Alex kept inspecting the ice, allowing ADAM to gather more data. "They are street punks, minor offenses." ADAM added. "Seems like this iceman is a vigilante type." Alex noted. "I pick up icing residue on the sidewalk. It will be possible to track the culprit, but the current suit lacks the sensors, sir. You should change to the heavy combat version, at least." ADAM did his job as an advisor now, calculating the best course of action. "Alright, bring me the Mark 68. It has the sensors we need!"

Not a minute later, there was an orb of metal in the sky, that was closing in at Alex's location. The previous suit disassembled itself from Alex, assembling itself back and heading back to base. The new suit assembled over Alex. This new suit he had built for space exploration, with unmatched sensors and many other extras. However the increased weight of the suit made it impractical, so Alex wore it only when he needed to track something. And it was easy to do so. The cold person left cold tracks. And the absolute zero temperature could not be replicated by anything else. All the suit had to do was follow the trail. The only trail, which the term "getting colder" meant he was getting closer. And soon enough...

"ADAM, I need a maneuverable light suit that can withstand cold" Alex whispered, making sure he was now nearing the place, where the Cryokinetic metahuman was. "Midas incoming!" ADAM noted, as the space suit started disassembling again, and a new, golden suit assembled over Alex's body. "I guess we should knock!" He raised his hand and Repulsor blasted his way inside, certain that the metahuman inside was not friendly! "Knock, knock!" the augmented voice was accompanied by the Repulsor blast and rubble.

Clara was in the apartment, and she was reading her book. As the door disappeared along with the whole wall, her attention was caught by the man in the golden suit. "I've heard of a man in an iron suit... But really didn't expected to be a piece of scrap metal." Even if she knew she was cornered she wasn't showing signs fear. In fact the person who was standing in front of her was just a man in a suit... Actually she was angry, because just a month ago she finished repairing her apartment. After that she got up and left the book on the chair. "So, what do you want from me, Tin-man?" She still had the arrogance in her eyes, and the fact the man entered her home in this way didn't helped much. She wanted to tear him into pieces... literally. Of course, after she freezes him to death.

Day 1 - Late Afternoon

The clash between the two was imminent as Iron Man's Repulsor blast echoed through the silent neighborhood. He found the meta-human with the ice powers, but she was not going to go with him peacefully. She was prepared to fight him. The stage was set. The battle began.

The battle that took place in the residential area was getting the attention of local police as well as the news, and in turn - the other heroes and villains. Unfortunately, for every hero out there, there are at least twice as many villains. And most of them were watching. "Really, Puddin'. What does She have that I don't?" A female asked her male counterpart, who shushed her, as he took interest not in her, but in the man who was fighting her. Another place, a very cold place, a man was watching, enjoying what he sees. "This girl will make a very useful sidekick!" he noted to himself. The fight between the two was the trigger. Some of the villains who went into hiding during the events of the merger now decided to get out in the open. It would take one act to show they were back in the world. Each and every villain started planning that act for themselves, without the knowledge of the heroes, and the other villains. As it turns out, the defenders would have their hands full in the foreseeable future.

The first one to act was the guy, who watched the news carefully. He was pale, had a green hair and a creepy smile. The whole look of the man yelled "Crazy to the core". He stood from his chair, and looked at the female. "Gather my men! It's time for some fun!"

Alex Mercer

After the victory over Killer Frost, Alex landed the suit in the secret tunnel, walking towards the inside of his office, as the machine disassembled the suit from his body as he was walking. "ADAM, schedule a meeting with the prisoner. I would like to put my rehab plan into motion!" Alex spoke to his A.I. Assistant. After devising the plan quickly, Alex made his way downstairs, carrying a briefcase, with something he would probably need. He got a car and drove off to Iron Heights, in order to meet the prisoner.

Upon Arrival, he disembarked the car. He had an earpiece, that looked like a Bluetooth handsfree, but was in fact his connection to ADAM. He looked up in the sky, tracing a white dot, which kept getting bigger and darker, until finally landing. It was his regular suit, operated remotely. It would serve him as a sort of precaution, if she decides to do something rash. She might be powerless here, but that doesn't mean her personality changed magically. Wearing a disguise, posing as an attorney, he entered the compound, followed by the stealthed remotely operated suit. As he was sitting there, in the meeting room, he looked at the suit, knowing he was there. He patiently waited for the guards to bring his "client" to him.

Clara wasn't really happy to see anyone right after they imprisoned her. She wanted to kill someone, but without her powers she probably won't do much. To stay here a long time wasn't in her plans. And if she ever leave this place - she probably won't change her lifestyle. After they brought her to the man who requested visiting her, she didn't even tried to hid what she wanted to tell. It was obvious she was in a bad mood. "So, what do you want from me? And who the hell are you?"

Kivuli Krigare

"Aww man.." Letting out a muffled groan, the teen squinted his red eyes at the ceiling, hissing at the waning sunlight that could not leave his face alone. Kivuli sat up, rubbing his pounding head. He was fully clothed but had been passed out on the creaky mattress for who knows how long. Shading his eyes with a fist, his gaze darted about the room. It was familiar, barren of personal items, an unused closet to one side, and a nightstand next to the mattress. But what was really disturbing him is that he could not remember what had happened in the past 24 hours.

Running his fingers through his hair, he pulled at the red streaked mess enough to send pain messages to his brain in an attempt to wake up. Hearing a clatter downstairs and an elderly voice muttering to herself, he assumed that his landlady was home. He sighed and willed his body to move without effort. It did not work, and with a louder sigh, he shoved himself up on his feet. Stumbling out the room, he wondered why his head was pounding so much as he made his way to the staircase. At the staircase, the teen eyed the stairs wearily then peeked down them to see if the landlady was around. Good, she wasn't. With a quick, running hop, he landed on the banister and slid down it, landing on his feet then somersaulting forward to avoid falling flat on his face from the momentum.

"Kivuli? Is that you?"

"Yea, shangazi. Umm..you won't happen to know how I got back here would ya?" Kivuli followed the voice to the kitchen and stared at the fridge as he spoke, not wanting to chance a glance at her. The stove would be in his line of view if he did, and no one wanted a panic attack first thing in the morning..or evening as it were.

"Do I ever! A kind soul brought you back here, one of the neighbors. They said they found you passed out in an alley outside a bar." The lady bustled around her kitchen, pausing once at the end to give him a pointed look. "You're too young to be drinking, young man."

"Yea.. but I hate the stuff.. it messes me up." Kivuli responded, trying to remember what the heck had happened. He blinked as something she said triggered a memory. "Oh riiight.. I'm heading out."

"If you come back on a stretcher, you need to find new lodgings. I can't handle the stress of having a parentless teenage that's trouble prone around."

"Dually noted. I'll probably be back late." He winked at her on his way out. "Don't waste any of your lovely beauty sleep on me, bella dama."

Alex Mercer

Alex rubbed his chin, adding to his nerdy coverup. He was avoiding eye contact, acting like a totally different person from what he is. He couldn't risk exposing his true identity. The tip of the iceberg was his dreaded German accent. "Mein name ist Gunther. Ich bin appoinzet your attorney!" His voice was a little bit squeaky as well. "Ich bin sens hier by Her Mercer, to salk about rehab. Her Mercer will guarazee your vreedom, if you svear loyalty zoo him, und shtop killing zee inosens." His dreaded German accent was making ears bleed. "Sir, I would suggest you cut this out, or I will be forced to take measures!" Even ADAM was already begging for him to stop. "Vat zoo you say?" Alex ended his barely understandable monologue.

Translating what he just said, basically Alex took it upon himself to see to it that Killer Frost becomes Mrs Frost. A villain reformed to be a hero. However as she had no intention of listening, he had to somehow force her to do that. And this way of doing things was to first make her hit the rock bottom, and then give her a ladder to get up, but only if she cooperates. It was hard for him to see a girl like her suffer as she did. She was just a victim here, and feeling weak made her this way. Alex had to find a way to make her strong, so she wouldn't have to kill to feel that way.

Clara indeed had fun time listening. "What do rehab and loyalty even have in common...?" She was unable to keep her laugh at the way he was talking. "And why I would need rehab? I'm fine like that. Also..." She finally stopped laughing and looked at him serious. "Tell the man who sent you that I don't have any interest being someone's puppet. Yes, I don't like this place, but if I have to choose - I prefer being here rather than becoming someone's lap dog. Hope you understand me, mister... Gunther? Or should I try repeat it on your language?" That was the moment she remembered the way he talked, and started laughing again. "Sorry, I just can't get it off my mind!"
