A New School, Another Start

Luka sighed. She pulled her bag close to her as she walked down the halls of her new school, Ouran High School, avoiding the curious glances from the other students. She tried to move as quickly as she can, but she despised the banana-colored uniform dress she had to wear. It slowed her down.

Keeping her dark grayish-blue eyes down, the girl hurried to Class 1-A, her piece of paper said. "Class 1-A...Class 1-A..." she mumbled, reading the signs. "Ah! Class-A!" Luka smiled as she hurried into the class, wanting to tear away from the judging gaze.

She gave another sigh when she noticed there were barely anybody in the classroom. Humming a soft tune, the brunette walked over to the desk furtherst away from everyone and near the window. She set her bag down and sat down, lady-like.

"I wonder what this school has in store for me..." Luka mumbled as she stared outside into the beautiful garden of Ouran High School.

"Kyoyaaaaa!!" A high voice shouted throughout the whole school, causing a very tall and dark haired young man to flinch heavily, which almost caused his glasses to pop off his nose. That stupid moron... Kyoya glanced up from the book which he had been reading and leaned further back in his chair. "Yes, Tamaki, I'm here." He said, slowly and unimpressed, of course the blond French boy seemed to care very little about this and threw himself around the taller man's neck. "I can't believe I haven't seen you for almost a week!" Tamaki exclaimed. Being forced away from Kyoya who stared at him with frustrated eyes. "It hadn't been a week, merely three days." The dark haired man stated, folding his arms across his chest as he put down the book on his desk.

Tamaki sat down on top of his own desk, smiling with his whole face and flicking blond hair out of his eyes. "I hope you have prepared wonderful things for the Host Club." He said, swaying back and forth with excitement. Kyoya frowned slightly and pulled his glasses back up over the bridge of his nose. "Obviously." He said, slowly. Of course, Tamaki was no longer interested in the answer, for he had noticed a new pretty face in the corner of the room. "A new student?" He asked. Kyoya looked up and turned his head towards the girl for a short moment before looking back down at his book and turning the page. "Looks like it."

"Hello, little lady!" Tamaki said, smiling down at the girl who he just had approached.

"Hello, little lady!" A new voice made Luka jump as she quickly turned to face the face of the person who greeted her, a bright smile directed towards her. She looked around, before pointing at herself, curiously and confusion written her face.

"Me?" she asked, her voice quiet. "Um...hello. May I ask why you're talking to me...?" Luka mumbled, her voice wavering. Most people just sent her odd looks, never had they actually walked up to greet her. She blushed at how attractive the male who greeted her, hiding her face with her black locks that framed her face.

She laced her fingers together on her lap, under the table as she looked down, "Hello...I'm Luka. Luka Shishimia. May I ask what your name is?" she asked, her voice calm as she glanced up to meet his beautiful amethyst eyes.

Tamaki loved women, he loved pleasing them, which was probably why he had started a Host Club in the first place. He had so much time on his hands and making a lady happy with it would only make it all worthwhile. He took her hand, gently with his and kissed the back of it, winking. "I am Tamaki Suoh, a pleasure to meet you, princess."

Kyoya was watching them silently. Wondering to himself it Tamaki ever stopped being a Host, or if it was all he knew. He only acted like his true, stupid self when no one else was arround, except the rest of the club, of course.

"May I please, invite you to the Host Club later this afternoon? We are established in Music Room 3 and we would love for your beautiful company..." Tamaki continued, fishing out a rose from somewhere not even Kyoya knew of. Was he... Advertising the club? It seemed like it, Kyoya almost wanted to applaud him for his diligence but decided against it.

Luka looked up at Tamaki a bit surprised, "Host Club...? Beautiful?" she mumbled, blushing slightly. She had never been called beautiful by a stranger before. Sometimes by her parents or her other family, but never a stranger male that she just met. Her face was already warm from the kiss on the hand, but she smiled anyways.

"Sure, I'll see if I have any time. I do have lessons to attend to..." she mumbled. "If I can gather enough time, I will to visit this host club you're talking about." Luka gave him a sweet smile, keeping a steady eye contact with him.

Lessons? It seemed like the girl was very new indeed. This school was more for luxury than anything else... Who attended lessons? He smiled at her though, beamingly so before he regretfully had to move himself away from him. "I surely hope I'll see you soon again." He said, winking one more time and then sat down on his own chair, next to Kyoya who was merely staring in front of himself, pondering over what Tamaki said and how little sense it made. She was in their class. Clearly he'd see her every moment of the day anyway...

Of course, as soon as the lesson started, it also came to an end and the first thing that happen when it ended was that the two twins walked in, arm in arm and hand in hand. "Mornin'!" Both of them said at the same time, making it sound like a strange echo. "Is the Club opening like normal? We're hungry."

Hikaru turned towards his brother, grabbing his chin gently between two fingers. "I can't wait to gently feed you grapes, Kaoru..." "Hikaru..."

Gathering up her materials, Luka sighed. This school seemed more like a luxury and more relaxed from her previous schools. The brunette didn't understand, but allowed it to pass. At least she doesn't have to worry about her schoolwork knowing there probably isn't any. When two voices synchronized entered the room, the girl looked up. Club? Must be talking about the Ouran Host Club Tamaki was talking about...

Luka finished up her gathering while watching the twins with interest and a bit of discomfort. For goodness's sake, they were twins! She had never seen anybody act such a way to each other, excluding couples. She was even more confused as the girls in the room swooned over them, squealing and whispers thrown around among them.

The pig-tailed girl wished to exit quietly, so walking along the wall Luka walked toward the exit, hoping not to be noticed. Which wasn't a big deal. She was never noticed in her previous schools, why be noticed now?

Turning around in at the very same time, the twins stared at her, leaning against each other. They had notice that look she had given them. She didn't like their closeness. Silly little girl, she had just gone to war with the worst people in the whole school. Grinning from ear to ear the twins said "Aren't you trying to sneak away a little quick there. Think we didn't see you?" They were coming up with ways to tease her, millions and millions of ways but of course Tamaki had to stop them, by placing his hand upon their shoulders. "This is our new student, Princess Luka. She'll come and visit us at the club later, don't you, beautiful?"

That one sentence was all they needed. They couldn't touch her. When a girl had been invited to the Club they simply had to be nice to her. She was going to earn them some money and everyone knew what Kyoya thought about destroying business plans.

Princess? Princess? "Princess? Just Luka...just Luka, please..." Luka mumbled, fidgeting under the gaze of such handsome men. She was cornered by the twins, who didn't allow her to escape the room and she couldn't go back, unless she wanted to make such a scene trying to escape what looks like a friendly conversation. She pulled a lock of black hair behind her ear and turned to the three, "I'm sorry. I have lessons to attend."

She really wanted to leave, getting uncomfortable by all the people who had turned to face the new student, who just rejected visiting the host club. She quickly bowed, "Excuse me, but I must go. I mustn't be late for my piano lessons," she mumbled, walking past them and exiting the classroom with a sigh of relief.

"Piano?" One of the twins said, looking at his brother before looking at Tamaki. "You play the piano, don't you champ?" Tamaki merely smiled and said nothing about it. His piano skills was only used when he had to win a bet, win a ladies heart or make someone feel a certain emotion that they seemed to lack, not to show off. Unless... Well, unless it'd win him a ladies heart. Kyoya was the first one to leave the classroom, after the new girl. He had to get to the Host Club and prepare today's event, it was important to him to see the whole thing go extremely well, he had his reasons, reasons unknown to everyone else.

He walked down the corridor and unlocked the Music Room 3 and stepped inside. The room was empty, sun was shining through the tall windows, making it glitter like pink gold.

"Today was such a weird day..." Luka mumbled to herself as she walked down the halls of Ouran High School. She was reading the signs, finding Music Room 3 that Tamaki had mentioned. "Ouran High School Host Club? Ah...I don't think they're opened until later..." she mumbled to herself, once again. She debated against seeing if anybody was there.

"I don't have any time...guess it's worth a shot to check it out." Luka had a weird habit of talking to herself. The girl opened the door shyly, gazing over the beautiful empty room. "Wow," she whispered as she entered the room. It was empty, yet so admirable. It was quite a pretty room to study...As she gazed around, she spotted a piano.

"Someone plays piano...?"

"Yes. The Prince type does." Kyoya said, where he sat by a small round table with his laptop open. He was typing something as he spoke, clearly very diligent with his work. He didn't look up from what he was doing, but he could hold a gentle conversation with a trespasser anyway. "We don't open until eleven, just before lunchtime. You may come in and take a look around, if you please. The decorators will be her just before ten." He added, leaning back in his seat.

"Prince Type?" Luka asked, admiring the beautiful grand piano. "What's with that?" she asked, still on the subject of 'types'. When the person she was talking to told her the opening time, she made a grim face.

"Sadly, I can't be here when it comes. I'll be at piano lessons, playing piano myself." She laughed gently. "May I ask what you guys do in the 'host club?'"

"It's a type of Host. Tamaki - you met him earlier today." Kyoya responded. Seeing as the young girl wanted to know more he decided to be of service, resting one arm on the back of the chair as he watched her, smiling. "We're Hosts, of course. When you arrive here, you may request someone to serve you, it costs a little penny per hour, but I guarantee you that we're very much worth it." Taking a deep breath, he pushed his glasses up over the bridge of his nose. "We got the Prince type, Tamaki, who's here to make you feel like a Princess. The Devil types, which is our two twins; Hikaru and Kaoru, who most likely will play games and trick with you. The Lolita boy type, which is Honey, he is most likely to hug and coddle you. The Wild type, Mori, who will sit by your side and simply listen to what you have to say, perhaps aid you with a problem or two. And then we got me, The cool type, I don't usually tend to the guests for I am needed to make sure everything runs... smoothly."

"Tamaki, the Prince Type...Hikaru and Kaoru, the Devil Types...Honey, the Lolita...Mori, the Wild Type and you, the cool type?" she said, naming the type of hosts in order to remember later if she did decided to visit the Host Club "Say, I never caught your name," Luka smiled at the person. "I'm guessing you already know mine, seeing you knew I already met Tamaki-san." Luka laughed.

She checked the time that was plastered on one of the walls, frowning. "I must go. Thank you for the information. I'll be sure to visit the Host Club one day," she smiled.

Ouran High School, quite interesting and very unique from her previous schools. She smiled at the black-haired male, before bowing and leaving the room.

Kyoya was listening to her repeat everything he had been saying, while cleaning his glasses with a white handkerchief. He didn't even have time to mention his name before the young girl hand left the room, blinking slightly in confusion he shrugged and went back to his work. He had decided on a English theme, simply school uniforms, tea and cakes. It was easier that way, as time flew by far too quickly. He simply had to start writing down the different themes for the days of the week, before that day arrived.

Luka rushed down the halls, mumbling random words about how she would be 'late' to her piano lessons. Yet, the girl still had a full 30 minutes to get ready for the lesson, Luka just frets over the littlest things. After all, she is always there early.

As she was walking down the halls, she didn't noticed herself bumping into a chest. "Ah! I'm sorry, I wasn't looking..." she looked to find the beautiful gaze of purple orbs. "Oh, hello Tamaki-san. I didn't mean to bump into you," she apologized, backing up.

Being bumped into by a beautiful maiden was not all bad. He smiled down at the young girl, placing a hand on her shoulder and a another under her chin. "No worries my Princess, I am quite blessed to meet you over and over in one day..." He smiled down at her and stepped back. Waving slightly as he simply smiled. "Where are you going in such a hurry?"

Luka blushed, messing with the cuff of her dress, "I have to get going. Once again, piano lessons this afternoon," she laughed gently. "I did though, visit your Host Club. Quite a beautiful room, I wonder how it is when you guys work..." she mumbled, her mind bouncing around. "Oh, sorry. I tend to talk to myself," she laughed, waving it off.

She bowed again, "A-ah, well I got to go. Mother will be mad if she hears I wasn't at piano lessons. Tomorrow, though I should be free, so I'll check out your Host Club when it opens," she smiled. She walked off, once again.

Nodding, Tamaki watched the young lady walk away before himself turned and continued walking through the beautiful corridor. The windows beside him cast hot and beaming sunlight over his sky blue uniform. It was heartwarming, soft and gentle. The young man seemed happy, the way he peacefully walked towards Music Room 3.

Running past Luka came Honey, tossing his bunny plushy into the air and catching it without fail. "Tamaki-kuuun!!" He shouted, almost in a singing tone and after him walked Mori, slowly with hands in his pockets, nodding towards the girl he just passed like a greeting.

Luka looked at the two, with a soft smile. She continued to walk toward the music room that was transferred over to the high school so the girl didn't have to walk around town, or leave the high school in general.

Humming a soft tune, she reached the music room and opened it up, finding her piano teacher playing the piano softly whilst waiting for Luka.

"Luka. You're late." She scolded with a gentle voice.

Luka set her bag aside and sighed, "I'm sorry. I got caught up with a few students." She said, as she walked over to the teacher.

~

Throughout her whole lesson, her mind was reeling around the Host Club. It was odd, and weird yet oh-so interesting. As she was thinking, she accidently played the wrong note and it made her cringe as her teacher sighed once again.

"Luka, are you alright? You're not yourself. Would you like a break?" Her teacher asked. Luka sighed as she folded her hand in her lap, nodding.

"Yes, please. Forgive me. I guess the students I met up with...well they are quite odd. Different from my previous schools," she laughed gently. She could talk to her teacher all the time, without a problem.

Cake, tea, sandwiches and heartwarming conversations. The idea had been Tamaki's, to make ladies - and men - happy during their free time, to make them forget their sorrows and there difference, but talking sweetly into their ear, to remember their name and make them feel special.

It was of course Kyoya, the one that didn't care much about the base idea - or so it seemed - that had fulfilled the idea and made it come true. He was the Shadow King, the man who took care of every single little detail.

The twins often took all of it for granted. They were used to sit there, in class and talk ill of others, make fun of others. Now, here they stood close together like they always wanted to be and used their likeness to make the ladies they usually would have bullied to feel great. No matter if they were wrong, if they would address Kaoru as Hikaru the twins would still smile and pretend as if they were correct.

"Quite odd? May I ask who you're talking about, Luka?" Her teacher smiled, settling down beside her.

"...The Ouran Host Club, they call themselves. Quite charming as well, interesting in fact." Luka laughed as she rubbed her fingers on her hand. "I wish I could visit them during their opening hours, however it interferes with my lessons," she frowned.

Her teacher sat there for a moment before smiling, "Go visit them. I'll tell your mother you came and practiced. For now, go ahead and visit them. Don't think I'll do this again, though. You have a concert coming up in a few weeks," her teacher reminded. Luka smiled in joy, hugging her teacher before thanking her and running out of the room.

As Luka slowed down in the halls, she thought for a moment. What was she gonna do? She just met Tamaki today, and might she sound a bit odd? Shrugging it off, Luka reached Music Room 3 and opened it quietly.

Of course, seeing as she did not show up just as the opening started she didn't' get their usual greeting, it was something they did for the very first guest, or guests in some cases. It was like a opening number, a greeting from the whole group. Seeing as Luka was slightly late for that however, what greeted her was simply a sea of tables, young women sitting with their hosts, one and one and sometimes even five at a time.

However, she did get greeted by Kyoya who stood by the door, scribbling on a notebook. "Welcome." He said, gesturing towards her with a deep blue rose, smiling. "I never thought you'd return so soon. Luka, was it? How may I be of service."

Luka laughed gently, "Is that so? I guess I got a bit distracted during lessons, so my teacher let me go. I don't know much about you, do I? Still haven't caught your name," she smiled, glancing up at the cool type host member. She shot him a sweet smile, "What do you guys do around here? That's what really makes me curious. You guys obviously have a lot of girls in one room," Luka said, quite quietly you might add.
