What's up? I'm Orion Pax, a 17 year old from the Bay Area (California). My interests include mtg, comics and VEX Robotics(highschool robotics competition I lead a team for). I usually like more detailed fantasy and futuristic rp's and I have a lot of experience GM'ing for a pathfinder group. I'm down for dice or just text-based. I also consider myself to be a decent writer. (not great, but it's something I'd like to work on, which is one of the reasons I'm here) Anyway, I'm rambling so I'll try to wrap it up. I'm excited to try online RP and hopefully I'll find some fun stuff to do around here. If anyone has any ideas for some RPs to join that would be pretty cool too.

I do have one question. How should I go about finding RP's to join? Just scrolling through all the most recently created ones seems like a sub-par way to go about this. Should I just look for interest checks that look good so I'm in on something from the beginning?

I'd recommend looking around the Interest Checks, but it's possible to jump in an RP if it's still open and accepting. You can also post your own Interest Check, too.

Now then, I know that you have to answers that you're wanting answered now and the first is, you can join any RP that is open. You can find the different RP genres here: Roleplays | RpNation.com - Best Roleplay Forum


They're set up by genre so if you're looking for that Belgariad fandom RP (sorry, none yet exists here) then you'll know you aren't going to be looking in the futuristic genre. Each genre has an interest check at the top of the page and you can peruse this to see if anyone is wanting to create an RP.


If you are trolling the RPs and you just gotta make your own futuristic version of the Elenium, then you can pick the genre (future or fandom? I don't know!) and create an interest check. In the interest check you can tell the whole world about your RP and what you want to do with it. If you get enough people to say Aye! then you create your RP.


Do NOT under any, uncertain circumstances create an interest check in the RP forum! Make sure that you create your interest check in the interest check forums! If you create an interest check in the RP forums then you have just created an RP and all the threads that go along with that. Then administration has to go through and delete all those threads. That is a hassle and a pain in the rear so please make sure that you are posting an interest check in the interest check forums ONLY.
