Jack followed him.


Skylar struggled against the net she was hanging from. The net swung violently as the storm picked up. And of course the net was hanging over the side of a cliff. How do I get myself into the situations? Skylar wondered. A few men on the ground beside the tree the net was hanging from laughed as she struggled.

Tonys wings expanded, the wind interfering with his flight as she struggled with the net, struggling to stay airborne as he took the nets full weight, making sure she couldn't fall

The men began shooting at Skylar and Tony. Jack froze their guns so they couldn't fire and froze all the men to the ground before flying beside Tony and helping carry the net.

Tony had been glad that Jack had taken care if them, but one rogue bullet had hit the creatures middle to the right. Red blossomed over his white shirt, but he ignored it as he helped

Jack set the net down gently in the mouth of the cave and began freezing the ropes so they would break.

Tony used his claws, which had grown from his fingertips. One hand was curled about his side and, after cutting the ropes he sat

Jack saw Tony's would and put frost over it to stop the bleeding. Skylar crawled out of the net and hugged them both.

Tony looked toward Jack with a thankful look, and hugged Skylar back, hiding his wound from her

"Thank you," Skylar whispered to both of them. Jack smiled and pulled away. "How did you even get into that situation?" Jack asked. "Dear old dad put a bounty on my head as well as Tony and Damien's. They caught me and waited for Tony's and Damien to come so they could get them too." Skylar explained. Jack tensed and clenched his jaw, gripping his staff tightly.

Tony huffed softly, watching the two, having trouble breathing with a bullet in his side

Skylar looked at Tony worriedly. "are you alright? Did either of you get hurt?" Jack looked at Tony, waiting to see if he'd tell her or not.

Tony paused, then shook his head, "Im fine." He replied, looking to Jack, wondering if he'd speak up

Jack just gave him a look like, 'I don't approve but okay.' "Yeah." Jack added. "I took out their guns before any of us could get hurt." He smiled at Skylar. Skylar smiled back.

Tony watched the two, glad he hadn't been told on. He gave Jack a grateful look

Jack just nodded. Skylar got up and walked inside the cave, trying to get a fire going. "You should tell her. She has a right to know." Jack whispered to Tony before walking into the cave and sitting beside Skylar, the two of them chatting and laughing.

Tony whimpered softly, moving his hand and looking in their direction. He swallowed, red pulsing from the wound

Skylar looked up and saw the wound. Her eyes went wide in horror. "Tony!" She ran to his side. "Why didn't you tell me!?" She put her hands on the wound like she was about to heal it.

Tony struggled, pushing her away with bloodied hands, "Don't" he mumbled, pushing her hands away and placing his own hands over the wound

Skylar looked at him, hurt in her eyes. "Why didn't you tell me?" she asked, sounding close to tears. "Why did you lie to me?"

"Y-you'd do this... C-can't stand to see y-you cry" Toby mumbled, wincing in pain

"Well sorry for getting upset about my best friend lying to me about having a life threatening wound and then not letting me heal it!" Skylar screamed in anger and stormed out of the cave. "I'll get her." Jack mumbled and ran after Skylar.

Tony mumbled something, closing his eyes

"Skylar wait!" Jack grabbed her hand. Skylar had tears streaming down her cheeks. "How could he lie to me? How could YOU lie to me!? I trusted both of you!" Skylar pulled her hand away from Jack. "It was his place to tell you, not mine." Jack said firmly. "Come here." Jack pulled Skylar into a hug and wrapped his arms around her. Skylar cried into his chest, her heart breaking with every tear. Tony had lied to her, and worse, he got JACK to lie to her for him! If Tony didn't let her heal him, he was going to die.

Tonys eyes, closed to the world, didn't so much as open as e wheezed weakly

Skylar cried in Jack's arm until she began wheezing weakly. she didn't know why but she felt like she was dying. She checked to make sure she wasn't hurt. No injuries or wounds. So why did she feel like this? Her knees buckled and she fell. Jack caught her. "Skylar!" He screamed in panic and ran back to the cave.
