Realistic or Modern A Mythical Creature Roleplay

"WHAT?!...that was only a duck ok so i dont need any protection...i can take care of miself...well wen theres no ducks,i admit im scared of ducks but atleast not that much anymore"he says as he would walk towards a pond and see a duck as he take a deepbreath he would sit near the pond and watch the duck as he sweat,s scared of the duck but he whants to overcome his fear

Mai aimed at the duck near the pond, watching between the leaves of the canopy as she shot it with the sleep dart. "You do need saving..." she sighed as she shot the quiet rifle at a female horned screamer trotting along the forest floor. She shot down various reptiles as well with swift movements from the branch. Mai was trained alongside her father to handle herself well in a fight, knowing how to shoot, slash, melee combat at least with other humans. Her skills were completely useless on this island.

Hydro would look at her with a confused face "Why did you shoot the duck?...i was looking at it and try too be breave near 1 now its dead...Good but bad aswell"he says as he stares at the duck floting on the water thinking ist dead but its only sleeping

Mai sighed as she climbed down carefully from the tree, already covered in scratches only after a few minutes. She began sticking various needles and trackers in the animals she caught. "Unique minerals within the keratin on the feathers...hm...an island species..." the girl was sucked into her work, writing notes into her journal. "...."

hydro would be curius about her jurnal and all her work as he would have a peek over her shulder and watch what she writes and say "Soooooo.....whatcha Writing there"he says as he looks over her shulder too the book very curius what she writes

Mai lifts up the book a little so he could see it. "Some sketches of the animals here, they have some odd attributes. Possibly due to an isolated population that has adapted to this land..." she explained, pointing to notes and random leaves, fur, and feathers pinned in the book.

"Interesting so you take pices or samples and stick them on the book...cool....But i got too tell you somthing about you know...what you were thinking of doing with Myth DNA.....i think you shoold not do it"he says looking at the book and all the things

Mai shut her book, cocking her head curiously at him "Huh? W-What are you talking about?" she stuttered, plucking the darts from the animals sides "I.....Don't know what you're talking about Hydro..." the scientist muttered.

Hydro would tilt his head too the left kinda confused and look around and see nobody looking and whispers too her "You shoold not inject yourself with Myth DNA what you were saying long ago back in your top secreat lab remember.....im thinking you shoold not do it"he sais hoping she remembers

(Shot to death. To Mai's knowledge he was reported missing in action by the government. Even though Mai reveres her father in every way, in truth he was but a mad man who eventually killed off her mother and two brothers through gruesome experiments with Myth DNA. The government eventually discovered what he had been doing to his family so they separated him before he got to Mai and before she discovered his true nature. Since he had nothing else to test on, he went crazy and began experimenting on himself, turning into a failed-abomination of a monster and eventually had to be shot down as he went berserk in a base. The phoenix feathers she has are from her mother, and Mai doesn't know any of this.) 
Mai turns her head with a stern look "Hydro. I told you never to mention that out here..." she whispered in a hush voice, looking down as she collect the equipment from the ground "I've done enough research on Myths thanks to you and your friends. And with my father's research as well...I think I'll be just fine." she smiles with a sigh, putting the blood filled vials in her pockets.

"Look i know you have investigated and you father whatever....but you dont know what might happen too you,you dont know the effects.....especially wen your mi friend and im your protector...I dont whant too loose you"he says in a very silent on her ear as he dosent whant her too change like that or die trying

Mai laughed, shaking her head "Do you not trust me as a scientist?" she chuckled as if he were being absurd. She got up and began heading back towards her cabin as she chatted with Hydro "You're not going to loose me you silly Hydra. I've done enough experiments down in my lab to be sure that I can do this when I do..." she carried the black rifles in her hands, gripping it tightly as she thought.

Hydro would notice her stop there and think and he says "what are you going too do....what if you end up like 1 of your experiments..atacking people like 1 did too you...what if you end up like a monster and try too kill us....think about what can go right and what can go wrong...Think about it"Hydro says Silently in her ear as he passes Mai and head towards the water as his skin is geting Dry and hope Mai thinks

(Oh, something I forgot to mention a long time ago, like all myths, ancient creatures and other magical beings, Damien can use magic, though it doesn't take mana or whatnot, it uses his life power, overuse of magic makes him sick and feeble, it won't kill him, it will just make him weak. Though he hardly ever to almost never uses magic, it's far less struitive (idk the word) and far easier for him to use the orbs, though they are magical, it does not take away his life force.) Damien looks about, thinking about his past...

Mai scoffed as she passed Damien and Tony, placing the vials in vibrating separators to work on them "Unlike my experiments...I'm human, so I should be able to control it...if anything goes wrong, don't be afraid to...you know..." she muttered, taking out her microscope to examine the cellular structure of the leaves she picked. "I'm not going to let all this valuable research go to waste you know." Mai was determined, and nothing, not even a Myth could stop her.

Hydro would go towards the water and transform as he stays floting on the water surface thinking about Mai,s plan too inject herself with Myth DNA as he hopes nothing happens too her especially hope it dosent change her persenality or even not be herself again...Lots of things can happen.

(Bout every kind there is, But the most you'd ever see him use is cooking magic or healing magic.) "What's yer problem girly? Oh, and ye may try to keep quiet about 'that' but I can hear everything in this forest, so, if ye need help with 'that' you can experiment on me, if it fails I'll probably puke, if it works, I'll shed the DNA and Hydro can think it over." He says

Mai smiles at Damien, eyes bright and excited "Really?? You be willing do that for me??" she squealed in glee "I'm sure Hydro will calm down if he sees my serums are safe...."she sighed happily.

(That idea came to me from the anime Sword Art Online. Like their skills, but magic, Damien is like that kid, but nobody knows of him, and he doesn't really care...)

"Who knows if they'll be safe for you, I can shed DNA like a snake its skin. And if it fails, well, I can't die, so what would that matter, I'll just puke and get it over with." He says blatantly.
