Skylar tossed and turned in her sleep. Someone crept into her room through the air duct and placed another package on her bedside table. They looked at Skylar. Skylar opened her eyes and saw the person. Her eyes went wide and she screamed. The person fled back into the air duct.

Damien turned, hearing Skylar's scream, rushed to her room and kicked down the door, just In time to see the person's feet go Into the duct...

Skylar was trembling in fear, her breathing shallow and fast. "I-i d-don't know. I just woke up and I saw him looking at me and I screamed." Skylar barely managed to get the two sentences out before she was so overcome with fear she couldn't speak.

Skylar leaned into Tony's touch. Was someone stalking her? Watching her? Would they hurt her or, even worse, someone she cared about? Skylar whispered slightly at the thought and closed her eyes tight, fighting off tears.

Skylar smelt something, a kind of perfume. She looked around and saw a small wrapped package, apparently it was another 'gift' from the mystery person. It looked like a bottle had broken inside the wrappings. She sniffed again. Roses? Skylar thought. She suddenly felt weak and the world around her began to spin. She would have fallen if Tony hadn't been holding her so close.

Tony grabbed her gently, growling. His sensitive nose picked up the scent, and he coughed softy, wobbling on his feet. He hurried out of the room with Skylar and to his room, placing her on the bed and laying beside her, one wing draped over her to protect her body completely

Skylar smiled at him weakly and snuggled closer to him. "I love you." She whispered, as if it was the only thing to live for. It is the only thing to live for.
