Name: Fredrick WeslowAge: 48

Gender: MaleRace: TrollOccupation: (Resented) Bodyguard in a Trading Guild for MerchantsAppearance: A tall and greenish troll, he amazingly dresses much better than his fellowmen but that's really the extent of his intellect. His black messy hair doesn't extend really far and his facial features easily tells that Fredrick is an ugly person. Not really well built and more on the rather fat side.Starting Weapon: Worn Greatsword: given as a part of his job. Years tore its once great power.

Personality & Behavior: He has a very simple mindset and has no ulterior motives in any of his actions, so he's predictable. He's rather rudely and savagely honest of things and he doesn't really care if you become his friend or not. Only talks when prompted to or when something gives him interest.Biography: A really common troll who grew up in a simple fashion in an indifferent slum of some common city. His family was obviously shunned by their neighbors but they payed no mind to this particular behavior. They somehow learned of money and what it does, so in accordance to new-found greed, they sent their seventh and only son to use his brute strength to generate money. At first, he thought that randomly pummeling things like people, wagons and walls would be a good idea but he understood after being told the hundredth time that he would lose his money if he had some for doing so. So, he thought of pummeling stuff that hurt him first. His pummeling started to become into smashing stuff until eventually one trader thought the brute's strength would help him deliver his valuable goods to some other city. After a rather confusing agreement, the two returned after visiting a neighboring city a week later and Fredrick got the money. He silently followed the trader to a Trading Guild and for some reason was hired to become one of the many selectable bodyguards in the Trading Guild. He was infamous for his lower-than-average reputation but sometimes he would be chosen. He continued to gain money and continued on with this life until something better would randomly appear on his life.

Name: Andewyn RobertsAge: 26

Gender: FemaleRace: HumanOccupation: Bounty HunterAppearance: Bearing a slim body, with it's natural curves, Andewyn portrays her younger self well. Her hair a fair brown and length that reaches her middle back; often pulled into a long braid. Her eyes are a soft hazel. Due to her rough occupation, her calves and upper arms had a bit of muscle built up, giving her the look of someone who you don't want to run away from or really anger.Starting Weapon: Weathered Longsword - Years of bounty hunting and such have earned great wear on, not only the hilt, but the blade itself. There were a few nicks and chips here and there, giving it a saw-like edge.Biography: A family like most of the rest, growing up in the lower-middle class and having their ups-and-downs. Andewyn refused to let his deter her and built herself up into someone who would make her family proud and earn them enough to get by better than they were. Her first few years of this consisted of exhausting training with a long, carved limb like a sword; she practicing swinging, parrying, blocking, all the sorts. She aimed to be a guard. Later on, once she had applied and had her trial, she found that she was not really... qualified to do the job. She made quite a few mistakes, failed to block occasionally, and all-around needed more training. Returning to her training, she improved, tried again, was denied. Someone approached her once on the streets and asked if she would do them a favor. She agreed and was sent to locate and remove the target from this world; reluctant and unsure at first, she tried to talk her way out of it, but was forced back. She carried out the mission successfully, returning with very few wounds. Another, then another; one after the next she found she had a job. She brought home her earnings when needed and kept her family going, kept them well-fed and their moods happy.

@Base Form

Accepted, will have your starter post up a bit later.

@MisfitGhoul

I need you to shed some light on two things.

1. Does your character still live with her family?

2. Does she have any siblings?

I tried to tag you both in the post, but the tags wouldn't work and then it just deleted the entire post I wrote up. I won't be trying to tag again if it'll make me lose that much work. Just follow the main thread because I won't be tagging either of you in it when I reply to your posts or write the starter post. It'll probably take awhile for me to recover from the emotional turmoil of losing all that work and then rewrite everything. Sorry.

As the Dorf’s decided that a squirrel isn’t Dorf-y enough to be a Dorf, he got his Dorf-rifle from his Dorf house and shot one of the Dorf’s in the face. [/SIZE]

Name:

Hainer 'Hain' Falkenrath

Age:

26

Race:

Human

Occupation:

While primarily a bounty hunter, Hainer doesn't limit himself to only that as a way of income. He's not above doing generic mercenary work or even monster hunting - as long as there's enough money in it for him.

Appearance

Hainer is a 6'1, 178lb male with fair skin and brown hair of middle length. His eyes are an almost reddish brown color and his body of an athletic built. While the type of clothing he wears of course varies, the male's rarely seen without some kind of blade on him--most commonly a longsword.

Starting Weapon:

The Weathered Longsword

Biography

Hainer was born and raised in a small village positioned in the western region of Restora. His family consisted of 4: him, his younger brother (9 years younger) and their parents.  Although they may not have been the richest people, they weren't exactly poor either. The male's father earned enough money as an instructor of swordsmanship to keep everyone fed and healthy. He became a local legend after slaying a horrifying beast that was terrorizing the villagers, so word about his school spread pretty quickly. All in all, they've lived a relatively happy life. At the age of 13, Hainer's old man talked him into becoming one of his students. Although having to regularly attend his dad's lessons felt like a chore to him, he soon found himself amazed by the man's swift and skillful swordsplay. Hainer knew that his father was an expert with the blade, but didn't get a chance to actually see him in action before visiting his lessons. Long story short, what he once called a chore quickly turned into his hobby. The male was quite talented, his swordsplay improving at a surprisingly fast rate. At the age of 20, while still generally inferior to his old man, he would've been skilled enough for his father to consider him a serious opponent if the two were to meet on the battlefield. Hainer was also at that age when an unexpected tragedie struck him and his family.

On a hot and humid summer evening, a mysterious young man, about as old as Hainer, appeared before his door and asked to speak with his father. The guy challenged his dad to a duel and he accepted. While locally known for killing a monster, the male's dad was quite famous even outside of the village since he's won a variety of tournaments in the past. So having a challenger show up eventually was to be expected. The two moved into an area more appropriate for fighting and eventually arrived at a wide, empty steppe. Hainer tagged along in order to see how things would turn out, although he was quite confident that his father would win this one. He hasn't managed to beat the man even once in all the practice matches they've done before and he doubted that the challenger could be that much better than him. Well the duel turned out a lot closer than the male would've expected; both opponents managed to skillfully parry and dodge most of each others attacks, making them appear to be on par. The battle went on like that for a while, until the older one went in for a thrust, aimed directly at the challenger's throat. the attack seemed to be save; the enemy's blade was currently locked in his sword's crossguard because of his last move and his neck was just in reach. Most people would've been pretty much done at this point, considering how little time a thrust like that gave to react... But this mysterious swordsman was not like most people. He easily side stepped to the right, effectively dodging the attack. Then, the young man grabbed onto the older one's blade, pulled his own back out of the lock and rammed it right through his chest.

Silence filled the entire area.

Both combatants were staring into each other's eyes, the looks that they were shooting at one other saying more than any amount of words ever could. A bloodfilled cough from the older one was what finally broke the silence. The challenger pulled his blade out of the other's stomache following to that. This caused Hainer's father to collapse onto the floor. He was now sprawled out across the grass, although still holding onto his sword.

The unknown swordsman simply sheeted his weapon, turned around and walked off without another word. All of this just seemed so unreal to Hainer. His father... his mentor... the person he looked up to... was dead?  The male's eyes slowly widened as realization kicked in. He rushed straight towards his old man and kneeled beside him, hoisting him up into his arms. He was obviously still warm, though there was no pulse. Hainer just sat there, not sure what to do or how to react.

Around 2 months after the incident, Hainer packed his stuff left the rest of his family to head out on his own. Him, his brother and their mother were all still in grieve, but to him it just felt like the time had come to leave.

Now, at the age of 26, Hainer's still travelling, trying to earn money in order to support his family while using the opportunity to also improve his skill as a swordsman.

Name:

Leaf Aarondale

Age:

20

Race:

Human

Occupation:

Farmer (He isn't a farmer any more, but that is what he was, until just recently.  I think I'd like him to become a Monster Hunter, though you can lead the story whichever way you like, I don't mind, haha!)

Appearance:

Leaf looks quite like you'd imagine a 20 year old farm boy to look, with a mop of short ragged brown hair atop his head, young features across his face, and a body thin yet strong (from many days of hard work).  He wears a tattered green shirt, tan trousers, leather shoes, and - over his tattered shirt - a leather chest brace (of a very poor quality).  On his back, hanging from around his neck, is a thin, brown, hooded cloak.

Starting Weapon:

The Weathered Longsword

Biography:

Leaf Aarondale has spent the last 20 years of his life as a farm boy, living with his uncle and aunt in a small village on the outer reaches of Restora.  He had never known his parents, only his aunt and uncle.  They were never cruel, but also, never loving.  They fed him, they housed him, and they put him to work, but beyond that they did no more for him.  Tired of the way his life was going, and eager for love and companion ship - of which he had never known - Leaf finally decided that he would leave his Aunt and Uncle.

When Leaf finally made his parting, his Aunt and Uncle - though unhappy to lose a worker - seemed to care little of the matter, and merely wished him well on his way (paying him a small some for the work he had done over the years).  Leaf wasn't surprised by his Aunt and Uncle's reaction, but still he was hurt by it.

His final time - before he left the village that had been his home for so long - was spent buying a few supplies he thought might be useful (such as a Weathered Longsword and chest brace an old merchant sold him).  Once that business was done, and the little money he had was gone, he set out, not sure what he would find, but hopeful nonetheless, that it would be better than what he had known.

Underneath all that greed for gold, she can be very caring and protective when she finds someone she likes, which isn't a lot of people. Despite her age she has become quiet wise in the way of the world, taking the knowledge she has gained over the short 24 years of life, and applying it to every situation. When she was in her early teens to her early twenties she had a bit of a cursing problem which her friend Hope despised. Declined. Firstly, you need to use the CS provided to you in the main thread. You may add some categories if you feel necessary, but you must use all of what's in the original CS.

Second, there aren't any knights in Restora, because this is a modern fantasy.

Third, although "sword magic" technically exists, it's never referred to as such. It's just recognized as sword skills with vaguely magic or superhuman attributes.

Fourth, you can't start with actual armor. I allowed it for the previous applicant because he described it as being poor quality.

Fifth, you can't start with potions and elixirs.

Sixth, and perhaps most importantly, your character is very cliche. Tell me if you've heard this before: Girl's parents die, she gets sent to an abusive place, she makes a friend with a symbolic name, they leave abusive place, friend dies, girl is upset.

This formula is in a lot fiction, and it's bland these days. Furthermore, your character seems like a bit of a Mary Sue since she's "quiet wise" while only being in her twenties, and her only weakness is her being stubborn.

All you had to say was that you decline my request. I don't really care about the reasons, nor do I even remember what this Rp was about. And I don't know who Mary sue is since I've never heard of that name. I chose the name Hope because I like the name. Your opinion of whether you think my character is cliche or not doesn't concern me. And I didn't use your CS because I didn't see it

I almost always give reasons when I decline a CS because a lot of people either want fix their CS to be accepted into an RP or want to improve their future writing.

Name: Frederick Jones- prefers to be called by his last name.Age: 25Race: HumanOccupation: He works for a local "security" company. That is, a shady company that deals in 'protection' and defense... Or in layman's terms, a mob. He is at the bottom of the food chain, thankfully, which means he doesn't have to perform any messy work- "disappearances" and the like.Appearance: Jones is lanky at 5'10", and has a relatively strong build. Not enough to get him on some men's fitness magazine, but hey, it gives off the look that he's somewhat tough- enough for him, since he's really not that kind of guy.His short, combed black hair gives off the idea that he's some sort of fashion nerd- albeit he's not- and his bright blue eyes seem to match the color of the ocean and somewhat makes him look adventurous. He also has some stubble on his face that he doesn't bother shaving- effectively contradicting his hairstyle- and he has a short, round nose- something that can make him look somewhat like a pig.Over the summer- or during security details at night- Jones wears a brown leather jacket, which covers his entire arms. However, when more casual, Fred wears a white tank top- slightly darkened due to extensive wear- and forgoes the vest. Either way, he wears a digital watch that only tells the time- pesky third-party sellers.Most of the time, Frederick also wears cargo pants- he's more of a pack rat than anything. When it comes to footwear, he'll often wear a pair of black hiking boots if he's on a "shift". Outside of that, he wears a pair of bluish gray sneakers.Starting Weapon: Dusty RifleBio: Frederick has always been the odd job when it comes to most things. Despite his appearance, Fred isn't really that strong, and he can't quite run long distances. His actual forte would have to be his intelligence.As a kid, he was criticized as a nerd. Most of the time he could shrug it off and keep doing what he wanted. Of course, you always had the occasional bully, but more often than not he could weasel his way out of a sticky situation using words and knowledge, warding off the jokers who did approach him. Of course, when he developed "muscles" in high school he wasn't bothered again, but if he was honest Jones envied the bullies for their strength. He felt like that was something he could never have.As time passed by and he graduated from college, he eventually got tired of being a "nerd". He wanted to try something else, find a different specialization! Hence, he turned away from the name of science and calculation to search for something else- brute force.It didn't take long for him to find a job as a "security officer"- what could he do about his medium build, anyways?- but on the first day of his job he realized what he had gotten himself into. Had he spent more time in "street smarts" he wouldn't have ended up in this sticky situation, but it was too late for that. He was in for the ride, and if he wanted out he definitely didn't have the option of an "easy way"...---Marksman Abilities (do not require ammunition to use):Shot Dash (10 mana) - A short-ranged dash, used to close in towards or move out of the way of enemies. While dashing, you will fire a shot at the enemy closest to you. After exiting the dash, you can take another action in the same turn.Chain Shot (15 mana) - Fire a bolas-like bullet that wraps itself around the opponent and stunning them for one turn. Opponents that are too strong, or too large, cannot be stunned in this way but will still take damage.Gunner's Nest (5 mana) - Fire a bullet at the ground that creates a forcefield around you. The forcefield lasts two turns (not including the turn that you cast it) and heals you for ten health each turn. You cannot take damage while in the forcefield, but a powerful enough enemy will be able to destroy it early and cancel your healing and invulnerability. You can shoot and cast abilities from inside the forcefield, and can leave whenever you want.Inventory:Dusty Rifle6/6 shots - 24 spare rounds100/100 HP100/100 MP

Accepted, you'll start from where you were before on the other site. As a note to others, you do not select your abilities, I do that for you. I'll have your post up later, Faction.

(I don't know if I'm late or not, but I'm just going to post this anyway, in case it's still available. And I apologize if it's bad or too short in advance)

Name: Malicai Karalic

Race: Human

Sex: Male

Age: 30

Personality: He's an extremely tough and resilient man, usually always depending on himself, leading to be his large downfall. He really has no soft side, leading him to be merciless when things get tough. He's a very honest person, and isn't afraid to say something that most people wouldn't. But the fact he doesn't have much family or friends, makes it so he doesn't need to be that way all the time.

Occupation: He works all over, never really staying in one place, hence the fact of why he depends on himself, yet him moving around isn't the reason he's so tough, it's just who he is. He primarily makes weapons though, usually ones made from the metals and other substances he finds as he moves around. He doesn't make much of a living off of what he makes and sells, but he does make them quite well.

Starting Weapon: His personal favourite is a rusty battle axe, which he carries everywhere with him, put on his back for easy equipment. But when he needs, he uses his bare fists to not get on the wrong side of the officials.

Appearance:  He's a relatively tall man, not anything extreme, he's just roughly 5'11, maybe a little taller. He's extremely muscular, and his hands are coarse and dry. He has dark brown hair, and stubble on his chin. His face long, and a little wide, with strong cheekbones, and his nose, obviously seems to have been broken a few times, due to how it's a little crooked. His eyes a crystalline green. He would be a handsome man if he bettered his posture (him always being in a slouch) and smiled one every while. But those are things he's not going to do. He wears a dark coat with a plain gray shirt underneath. His pants match his coat, and he's always wearing the same pair of work boots.

Biograpghy: Malicai had an actually very decent life, really an average one. He had parents that loved him, a little sister whom adored him and plentiful friends when he was younger, but eventually Malicai became more reserved, kept to himself. No one knew why, and no one really bothered to figure it out.

He finished school on a good note, he wasn't the best but he wasn't the worst either, he was.. average. He moved out of his childhood home when he was 19 and traveled all over, seeing new things, and occasionally meeting new people, whom he writes to sometimes when he's moving all around. Particularly to his younger sister, who's name is Lillian. She's 23, being 7 years younger than him, and looked fully up to her elder brother.

Even when Malicai became reserved, he still spent time with Lillian. She was really the only person he would spend time with. They write all the time, whenever Malicai settles down somewhere new he writes her, she replies, and coincidentally around the same time he gets her reply, he moves.

Your occupation doesn't make very much sense. You can't really be a blacksmith/gunsmith while also being a nomad. Unless, of course, that isn't his primary source of revenue. In that case, you would have to tell me what he mainly does to make money.

@TabbyCatTM

@Venom Adhamm

Yea, I suppose, it was more of a hobby that he made weapons and such. So I can see why it doesn't make much sense.

And really his main occupation are small jobs, department stores, fast food places, anywhere that could employ him for a temporary amount of time.

The probably doesn't make sense either.

And please pardon the late response.
