Faust Windfallow -- Infirmary -- Interacting With Vesryn ( LoneSniper87 LoneSniper87 ), Natalie ( Prince_ Prince_ ), Lucius ( Fable Fable )

"Whoops," Faust muttered to himself, gazing at Vesryn's mask which he had placed on a desk. He then gazed back at the cleric, demanding that Faust get him a new cot, and scram from the infirmary. "For fuck's sake, I'll just put her back together now." He finally sighed, walking over to Natalie's impaled body. Faust waved his hand over the spears, and they melted away immediately. Then, he muttered an incantation, delivering the banshee another dose of negative energy. "Do you want me to lick the blood off the floor as well?" He asked sarcastically, inspecting the complete mess of a cot he had made.

"I'm not taking her back to the vault though. She can fight her way into the entrance, but I'm not giving her a lift." Waving his hand over his face, Faust conjured an illusionary mask- a temporary solution, until he could get somebody to put the broken bits of his mask back together. "I'll get you a new cot by the end of the week, is that acceptable?" Faust asked, crossing his arms, showing no intention that he was leaving the infirmary at the current moment.

Finally at Fort Black, Garheil awakens after the reptilian group's teleportation. Surprised, she suddenly squirmed, falling off the clutches of Ka'Sha and falling to the ground with a resounding thud. She groaned softly, then stood back up. Once she regained her senses and her grogginess faded off, she immediately took a quick glace towards her surroundings.

She did not know where she was. She did not know who all these people around her are. But most importantly, she did not know what happened in Xhorhas.

Returning her gaze back to the lizard trio, she asked. "Where am I? Who are you?", her eyes clearly showing her desperation for answers. "What happened to Xhorhas? Did we win?"

Veth turned back to the human woman, "Come with this one if you wish." Veth had spotted the guildmaster who had been looking over something projected from the guild seal. Veth had an ominous feeling as she walked towards the guildmaster. She kept to one side as the guildmaster conversed with the being, overhearing the negotiations that were being conducted. Veth visibly frowned as Risa offered Cyrus as part of the deal along with letting Xhrohas be destroyed by what was already heading that way. Veth could accept sacrificing the city, hey had barely saved the citizens and it was probably in a dire state. However, she didn't agree with sacrificing Cyrus to their enemy.

She patiently waited for the negotiations to conclude. If she interrupted with her protests it would reflect badly on the state of the guild. No, she needed to wait. During this quick conversation all manner of chaos was going on around them. People were teleporting in, some falling from the ceiling as the city was being evacuated since the guildmaster's command for all to return to the fort. The guildmaster entered into a conversation with some others, directing them to ask someone else about basic matters right now as she was busy.

"Guildmaster," Veth began, "This one does not agree with sacrificing the wizard. He seems to be the only one capable of truly inflicting harm upon the enemy. Even if it does allow some time before the next wave of attacks, and while you may push aside this one's concerns, she believes without him we will lose when the time of the truce is over."[/div][/div][/div]

Drui pursed her lips as she looked over the bee-girl who seemed quite confused. Drui tried to recall if she'd had any previous interactions with the girl but couldn't think of a single moment where their paths has crossed. "Mistakes happen, but can you really not tell the difference between humans? It's pretty obvious as each looks different from each other. Take me for example, my hair color isn't the same as theirs," she said, pointing in Veth's direction to give a stark constrast; Drui's red hair to Veth's white. "You are correct in that I'm not a demon, dear Bem. I wonder," Drui paused as she considered a way to try and help this girl. There weren't any books that would go over common knowledge about humans, at least that she knew of.

She was interrupted as a man fell from the ceiling, crashing into the floor near herself and Bem. He grumbled in muffled pain before looking at herself and Bem, commenting about how maybe he died upon seeing Bem and inquiring whether Drui was a sorceress or dragon. "I am neither a sorceress or a dragon," she corrected him with a sigh. Truly, she lacked in followers... "I am Drui, the Goddess of Music and Laughter." Drui smirked down at him as she introduced herself.

Shortly after her introduction, a strange woman carrying and umbrella approach them, introducing herself as Lady Cain. Drui frowned at the woman, disliking the aura the woman was emitting. Drui's instincts screamed 'do not trust!' "What do you want with Cyrus exactly? Hes' a bit preoccupied," Drui replied, it wasn't a lie, but Drui honestly didn't know of his location right now.

Lucius has never met Faust before, but when he walked into the infirmary it was easy to guess that was who the man was based upon his appearance. There were rumors about the undead vault-keeper. He silently watched the 'man' as he came over to where Natalie was resting before creating an uncomfortable amount of negative energy in his hand which prompted Lucius to step back. He didn't believe he'd harm the girl since the guildmaster would torture Faust terribly most likely if he committed such an act on someone who wasn't an enemy. The guildmaster could be a frightening woman.

His guess was confirmed as the girl was healed and Faust apologized for injuring her. Lucius quirked a brow at the comment, wondering if it was common for the undead to chop off each other's limbs. However, that was short lived because as soon as the apology was over, Faust began to impale Natalie, calling the girl a whore and threatening to sell her into a slave market. Lucius frowned darkly as Faust turned to Vesryn and commanded for him to 'clean up' Natalia.

Vesryn's response to Faust was one Lucius could agree with. Whatever the hell was going on between Faust and Natalie, this feud was out of hand. Lucius watched as Faust melted the ice and began to assist in Natalie's recovery, asking the cleric if he was to lick the blood off the floor as well.

Lucius stared at Faust's uncovered face - just before he created the illusionary mask - not flinching but glaring at the being before him as he was questioned if he was new, "I had heard some rumors about you, but I had shrugged them off as I had never met you before. Seeing your act just now, I can see those were actual truths to your demeanor. You already severed her limbs and came here to settle some foolish score. Perhaps your brain truly has rotted after being undead for so long and it has affected your mental capacities. Your behavior is unacceptable."

No, the maid simply inquired about a missing shipment for a Lord Ragna. She didn't know who this Lord Ragna was or why he has sent a maid to ask about something in the middle of this chaos, but after a moment Chiruka let out a small laughter at the absurdity.

"I see this Lord Ragna doesn't care if there are Death Knights roaming about and cities destroyed, as long as he gets his shipment."[/div][/div][/div]

Bem the Apianian - Reception
hip to fuck bees.png
"Of course I can tell the differences.. Just remembering the differences.. I'm used to remembering the subtle things, But when one is a big bulky monster with short brown hair, then the next is a small, dainty little thing with golden hair, it's difficult, to me, at least. You all sort of meld together." Bem mumbled to the red-haired woman's question before a man appeared out of nowhere directly before them both and slammed into the floor.

"I am an apiana and you will refer to me as such." she growled, teleporting was magic, and magic was the work of evil, which meant she already had a disliking for him unless he could provide a reason. "My chest is soft, but I've been told the touching of the chest in your people is an intimate act." she growled at him, folding her arms, clutching her spear tightly in one of them before the conversation seemed to continue.

"Goddess? You don't look like a goddess, don't they usually have glowy bits?" she asked more out of curiosity than to be mean, as from all she had seen in the picture books of the apiana had been very crude drawings with lots of light. "I also don't particularly feel like being either musical nor laughing, so you must be pretty bad at it.." she frowned, as her logical words seemed to stream straight from her brain down to her mouth and out into the air in the gentle yet strange accent of the apiana

Bem attempted to ignore the newcomer, due to already having difficulty dealing with the two humans, never mind a thing one, yet felt strangely comforted by the presence of the second white-haired human that seemed similar to the funny-talking elf, Veth. White hair was enough for Bem to link the two, in her eyes.

Elizabeth Cain - Reception

"Not a lot my dear, I was simply seeking to enter the guild for reasons that I shall disclose at a later date, and thought the sight of a familiar face would help me become reacquainted with this place" she grinned, placing a cold hand on the woman's shoulder and giving her a gentle squeeze. "Unless you wish to take on the task of helping me catch up on what I've missed, hmm?" Elizabeth continued "I'm sure a beautiful young woman such as yourself would give me all the juicy little morsels I need" she giggled non-threateningly, before removing her hand from her, maintaining her relaxed composure and gazing deeply into Drui's own eyes. "Doesn't that just sound like a fun time?" she simply smiled, leaving her words hanging comfortably in the air

"Then I appreciate the bravery. And gurantee those who have ran will be facing my fury. My mildly acidic fury. And why the dining hall? Well... I was going to take us to the entrance but then as I was teleporting I had the thought of food. And then boom we are here. I'm sorry but my teleportation capabilities need some fine tuning to where my thoughts don't take me to wherever I think." She said as she was grateful she wasn't thinking of the death Knights when she teleported. That may have ended in disaster.

"I..." He began, finally softening. He had just sat down, but for this, he gets back up. "Yeah... Yeah it's fine, I guess." He closes the gap between the two, and sets a hand on Faust's shoulder. The glow of his hand was hidden by the action, but still visible, and Faust would feel a burning sensation where he touched. Vesryn smiled light-heartedly and leaned in. "I just want you to know that if you pull that shit again the guild master will have your head, and you will owe me a lot more than a cot. I hope we are clear on that." He said to him, the last of his anger and the last of his mana going into that gesture before pulling away, still smiling.

"While I agree with Lucius, you do have some sway here, but so do I. I just choose not to use it at this point in time. That is all, if you have no other buisness here, I suggest you stop wasting my time, as I have not wasted yours, and I have patients to treat. Good day, Mr. Windfallow." He said, going back to his desk a second time, sitting back down, and beginning to write down some more notes.

Armad nodded, "Oh you're a goddess? Well that's cool too. I'm known sometimes as that guy. I guess you could consider me one of the best crafters alive. I really have an unfair advantage though considering stone, wood, and metal all bend to my will. Hell I can even manipulate leather to an extent, but only once it's been treated and cured. I'm not sure why it's so specific to be honest." He scratched his head. It was painfully true. Heck even normal rock or unrefined metal he had issues controlling. It was something that bothered him more than he liked to admit. "Still, a pleasure to meet you miss goddess. That explains the magic, perfect skin, and radiant beauty. A dangerous combination."

He looked over to Bem, slowly looked her over from head to toe then closed his eyes, then nodded to himself. "Yep, I bet you give great hugs. Also remind me to make you a better spear. No offense but that's a pretty garbage looking one. Also apine.. apeen... apineapple? Do you have anything else I can call you? Otherwise I'm dubbing your species the adorable. Because to be honest you're pretty darn adorable." He gave her a smile, "I bet you're great cuddlers too." He tapped his forehead, "As to the chest thing I would but then we might get in trouble for being our content being too mature. Though our saving grace might be the fact that you're a bee." He mumbled to himself, unsure of if it'd be worth it to try and argue how it's basically like touching a guys chest which was somehow a-ok.

He stopped as he looked to the newcomer who was clearly some sort of vampire what with the sharp fangs, 'Help I must be dreaming. I'm surrounded by beautiful non humans.' He thought to himself as his eyes widened while staring at her. "Oh Cryus?(Not a typo) I think I heard that before.... yeah two women were yelling that name looking for him in that city I was just in that got blown up. Well, actually I made it into a dome and the dome blew up, but ya know schematics. Dunno if they found him. My best guess is since that city evacuated here he's probably roaming the halls somewhere. Dude must be important or extremely handsome to have so many looking for him."

Tigara, Fort Black.

Tigara continued to roam around the fort. Not knowing where to go first. Instruction hadn't been specific, but she hadn't been stopped and commanded to leave by anyone yet, so she wasn't in a large amount of trouble just by being around. She hadn't seen many people but the one's she had seen pretty much ignored her. Which Tigara didn't mind because she was distracted, on a little quest of discovery on her own. She'd never been in a fort before, and Tigara was not passing up a chance to explore. The pouch of shards that was tied to her hip didn't bother the Tigaran much. And the totem around her neck simply banged against her collar bone as she walked.

Suddenly the Tigaran heard voices and found a part of the hallway that was rather congested. She stopped and inspected them. The first one that grabbed her notice seemed to be a giant bee of some sort. Tigara had seen bees before but never one so big. The other seemed to be a red eyed thing that appeared human, but it smelled weird so that probably wasn't the case. Same with a third one. Tigara really needed to learn what all lived on the mainland. Hopefully no Leonines.

The last was male. Looked human, also smelled that way. Tigara stayed where she was a bit unsure how to approach. It would be rudeness to push past them, but Tigara's curiosity got the best of her she stayed put and waited to see what they'd do.

Cyrus of Trostenwald | Dining Hall > Guild Hall | Fable Fable Bakuyoshi Bakuyoshi Reinhardt Reinhardt Hanarei Hanarei

Cyrus took the pipe out of his mouth and looked at the homunculus indifferently. "Tell Lord Ragna he can kiss my ass, and tell him I have bigger things to deal with right now and if he wants mandrakes he should go to the Great Forest and pick roots." He put the pipe back in and inhaled smugly.

He turned to Nyx, exhaling a cloud of smoke in her face. Several blue bubbles tapped her face and popped. "Nonsense, the Guild Seals can't teleport anywhere outside marked areas."

The wizard spoke an incantation and waved his staff and the ceiling became transparent for a flash. "Blimey, it's late! I should talk to the Guildmaster." He faced Chiruka and Nyx. "Take care, you two. There is much to be done."

The bottom of his staff tapped against the ground and he disappeared in a flash of light, transporting to the Guild Hall. Of course, Cyrus' magic was off-mark due to the mental daze. He teleported just outside. One of the golems tried to confront him about something the Guildmaster said, but Cyrus shushed him with a: "Not now."

The wizard walked in and hastily approached Risa. His pale face was accentuated by dust on his lower robe; he dusted off the upper parts previously. His staff seemed to have cracks and pieces missing along its length, as if it were used as a shield but transmuted to be tough enough to hold against weapons.

"Let's cut to the chase, Guildmaster," he quipped. "What other cities were attacked when I was out cold?"

Faust Windfallow -- Infirmary -- Living Quarters -- Interacting With Vesryn ( LoneSniper87 LoneSniper87 ), Natalie ( Prince_ Prince_ ), Lucius ( Fable Fable )
Faust ignored Lucius' insult about his lack of a brain for the most part. To Faust, what Lucius had said to him was mostly truth than an insult. He waved his hand over his illusionary mask, canceling the illusion spell. Then, Faust removed his hood and clasped his head tightly with both hands. A sickening snap followed, and soon enough, Faust was holding his own head in his right hand. He then handed his head to Lucius. "Being holed up in some hole in the ground tends to get boring. Look for yourself. Do you see a brain?" He asked Lucius.

Then, Vesryn walked over to Faust, and placed his hand on his shoulder, and cast some sort of healing spell on him. It would've hurt, but the holy ward only made it worse. "Holy fuck, that hurts like hell," Faust uttered. Somehow, he was still able to talk without his head. "Alright, I get it, I'll scram now." Faust finally decided and walked out of the infirmary- without his head. He soon arrived in front of the sealed door to his own living quarters and cast a teleportation spell to get inside. Then, he began to search the numerous boxes and crates of bones of various creatures, which he had acquired through various means, possibly illegal. "Now where did I put it..."

Hearing the seemingly 'dark' woman, the homonculus turned her head and gazed at her with a confused look. "Death...Knights?", she said, clearly having no clue as to what those words meant. "Cities...destroyed?", she added. While she may not be newly born to this world, she still has much to learn. Growing up in a rather secluded location would usually do that to a person, let alone a homonculus like her.

Then, finally, she got what she came for - the words of the great wizard Cyrus. However, those were not the words she was expecting. While it may be common for 'lesser minds' (as her master, Ragna, would call them) to insult and ridicule her master and his works, she hasn't been around long enough to get used to such treatment. Clenching one of her fists as a reaction and an indication of her struggle to resist defending her master's honor, she replies to the old man.

"It shall be done, Lord Cyrus.", she gently bowed, then left immediately without another word. It would be safe to assume that she will be returning to her master and relay the words of Cyrus - exactly the way it was, without any form of alteration.

Speaking Directly to:
Veth Fable Fable Cyrus Birdsie Birdsie

Risa turned her head, glancing over to Veth hearing her speak up. She looked quiet serious staring over at her. She was quiet for a moment before speaking. "You know, its best to not question the guildmaster." She spoke, her words quick and to the point, though she seemed to put little effort in attempting to even hide the fact she wasn't being very serious about it. She glanced over across the guild looking on silently.

"Truth be told, even if he stands a chance against them, how many do you think he could really deal with before he would be overwhelmed and killed? Not to mention they would likely plan around the fact he is present and attempt to counter him swiftly. All Cyrus would do was act as a mild distraction that could only last so long to keep the enemy preoccupied before we ultimately were crushed. Having 6 months gives us a much better chance to find a way to defend ourselves more effectively in the long term. As little of a shot we have of actual victory, giving us more time is the only option we have to even have a hope of victory as well as being able to save so many more lives at least temporarily. Trust me....or if you relaly wish you can hate me for my choice. Please, don't tell anyone else about it, I would prefer to keep this quiet at least until I've had a chance to speak to Cyrus." She spoke quite to the point. She wasn't going to lie and say her plan ensured victory for them. She turned away from Veth spotting Cyrus as he approached.

"The cities are safe for now... well... except what is left of the city after the bomb drops. I managed to divert the attacks for now.... although... I need to speak to you in private. It's a matter I do not wish to entangle others in until you are able to properly make a decision on your own. I want to limit the factors that will sway your opinion in a direction you may later regret going with." She spoke glancing about briefly. While it was possible they could attempt to speak where they were, there was a good chance someone could overhear them. If he was that opposed to the plan and no one overheard it he could easily refuse and she could at the very least leave it out of his hands on his choice. She was willing to take the fall as needed, that was in part what her job as guildmaster was. If what she did ended up shedding a negative light on her in the history books, she would gladly take that burden if it ends up benefiting the guild in the long term.

"Can you send us somewhere we could speak in private for a few minutes? Time is of the essence and the quicker we act the better." She spoke staring at him not coming out with it yet.

Risa replied to Veth then, telling her not to question the guildmaster; another statement Veth didn't agree with, serious or not on the matter. She didn't interrupt the guildmaster as she listened to the woman's explanation. Veth at this point decided arguing further would be futile in the matter now that Cyrus himself was here. "This one understand your points, but this one is officially stating her disagreement still. This one will not speak of this deal to others, but they will wonder about him when he is given to the undead ones."

Veth went silent when Cyrus approached, turning to look at him and see if he had overheard her words. When he mentioned nothing, but instead spoke to the guildmaster and inquiring about what other cities were attacked while he had been 'out cold', Veth looked back towards the woman. It was around this time that the human woman that was tagging along with her spoke up, questioning who exactly Cyrus was and why he was so important.

Veth spoke to the girl very lowly, "The man who just approached the guildmaster is the wizard Cyrus. As of this moment, he is perhaps the only one capable of fighting against the undead horde with any hope of victory." She purposefully left out comments about the deal she had barely overheard, keeping her word to the guildmaster to not further spread the information on the negotiation.[/div][/div][/div]

Drui wasn't sure if she was supposed to feel pity for Bem's inability to catch onto details or if she should exploit that fact for personal entertainment. Bem had obviously come after her over some misunderstanding with someone else and now wasn't even sure who that person was anymore. In the end, Drui would just let the entertainment happen as it may. She was quite certain Bem would probably aimless harass people with the wrong ideas or identification which would result in very interesting events.

The man who had fallen uselessly and had rambled on like a half-insane madman offended Bem when he asked about how soft she was. Drui struggled to not laugh, her eyes watered slightly and her shoulders trembled as she forced herself to try and breathe normally through her nose. Someone had taught the bee that groping of one's chest was an intimate act, she wondered what Bem had done to be taught that sort of lesson. Based on the girl's quick reaction, she probably rubbed her chest on someone who become uncomfortable and was forced to explain how it was inappropriate.

Drui stopped being amused as her godhood was debated, for all of two seconds before Bem asked about 'glowy bits.' That did it, Drui burst out laughing, grabbing her stomach as she tried to regain her composure, only to fail moresore as she replayed the phrase 'glowy bits' in her mind. Where the hell had this girl been to get such insane ideas? It took about a good thirty seconds before Drui could even breath enough to reply.

"G-Glowy bits? Oh dear girl, you have no idea what you are blathering about. Also, just because you don't feel like being musical or laughing doesn't mean I'm not a goddess."

She was pulled her from her conversation with the bee-girl when the stranger spoke one again. Drui really didn't like this woman and when she touched her. "Odd timing to suddenly want to catch up with a friend, there being a city destroyed and all. I have no interested in assisting you in any way. You're not the kind of fun I am interested in." Drui really didn't like this woman's aura and she turned her attention back towards Bem who was much more interesting and fun to play with. than some creepy touchy-feely woman.

The man rambled on about things Drui didn't care squat about. Rocks? Leather? Sure, gems were nice and glittery and she appreciated them when they were given to her as gifts. However, he was talking about crafting, not a subject she cared for. He did at least not argue she wasn't a goddess and gave her compliments, so that was enough to keep her from glowering at him. "You are an odd man," she said bluntly before approaching Bem with a grin.

"I know how I can make you believe me when I say I am a goddess, do you want me to? I'll only do it with your consent."[/div][/div][/div]

Lucius wondered why the man so quickly seemed to forgive Faust once Faust began to go on about bringing cots, making comments that more would be owed if the continued misbehavior continued. How anyone put up with this undead man with the mentality of a toddler was beyond Lucius's understand. With Vesryn bidding Faust farewell, Lucius was going to excuse himself as well as he was not needed in the infirmary. However, before Lucius managed to leave, Faust had taken off his head and forcefully handed it over to Lucius telling him to look for a brain.

Lucius frowned at the head in his hands, dropped it onto the floor after Faust had wandered off without his head, and then he proceeded to kick it out of the infirmary. "What an annoyance," he uttered to himself before turning to Vesryn. "I'll be leaving then," he said, stepping out of the infirmary and heading back to the guild hall.[/div][/div][/div]

Chiruka said nothing, instead idly inspecting her fingernails as she waited for their conversation to end. The woman explained the reason for their destination and the half-joke about thankfully not thinking about Death Knights when they left the city. Cyrus dismissed the joke before he left to meet with the guildmaster and dismissing the maid, leaving Chiruka alone with the woman. The maid has seemed genuinely confused by Chiruka's words, but that wasn't her problem. The weird maid seemed agitated at Cyrus's reply and dismissal, but accepted it nonetheless.

She extended a slender hand to the woman who had teleported her in a polite manner, her pointed nails ready to nick the woman's hand to procure a drop of blood which Chiruka would easily brush off as a mere 'accident.'

"We've yet to introduce ourselves to each other, I am Chiruka."[/div][/div][/div]

Cyrus of Trostenwald | Guild Hall > Demiplane | Hanarei Hanarei Fable Fable

The conjurer seemed unimpressed with the request, but he gave her a nod. It took him a moment to force a bizarre, complex incantation from his mouth. About three sentences in another, alien language - clearly not even Gaian in origin. Space seemed to distort around them in a layer as if intense heat waves had been present, but there was no actual change in temperature.

Cyrus split into thought for a moment, then raised his brows and put his hand on Risa' shoulder, then spoke another incantation, still in another language but with more familiar vowels and pronunciations, but its exotic tone gave it the vibe of an ancient tongue. By the time he finished, the two were gone in a flash.

They now stood on top of a floating island, fifteen feet in diameter, amidst a black void that surrounded them from every direction. Contradictory as it was, with no source of light, the island was actually well-visible to the human eye and yellow-brownish in color. All sounds they made, whether from speech or their footsteps would seem dulled and breathing seemed unnecessary to survive, although possible. Normal gravity was replaced by a sense of direction - Risa could simply think about it and she would begin to float upward, sideways, or in any other direction.

"I have created a private Demiplane. Concepts like gravity or time are as rubber bands you can stretch here. Only you and me have the right to alter this realm. Since I didn't have much energy, it is limited and so, space can't exist further than a hundred and twenty feet in any direction from the center, which is here - if you try to cross that boundary, either your body and soul will disintegrate and fall into inexistence, or you will find yourself in the middle of the Astral Plane, so don't do that," he warned.

Cyrus reached out with his hand. Pure willpower, like a wave of blue fire, poured out from his hand and surrounded them in a bubble. He then moved his hand out to both sides and the bubble grew. The wizard looked at Risa and said, "I have just created a boundary -- an invisible wall -- to prevent that from happening. Feel free to alter the realm to your needs. Magic here won't cost you anything in terms of mana. Think of it as that you are a deity and this is your private realm, where you control everything simply because you have the right to do so, rather than because you have magical power."

Natalie would get up, and look at her chest, where the ice spears had been previously. "Faust, a little bit of overkill on that, but thanks for healing me... anyways, go have fun with your bones over there." She'd turn away from Faust, and then call after Lucius "Thank you once again!" She'd look to Vesryn. "Erm... would you like some help with the infirmary? I've got nothing else to do..."

Ki'Tavi

Location:GuildHall
Interacting with: Phantoms
So it really was as bad as he had feared. Xhorhas has fallen.

His tail swished irritably behind him as he looked over the map, setting down marks indicating likely secondary targets. No sooner had he set the marks down than word came that somehow, Xhorhas was saved. His ears flattened on his head as he rapidly set about moving about the markings. "They won't be happy... most likely targets now would be... Nachtholm, Tirisgarde, Thay, or.. maybe by sea..." He murmured, setting down the markers at the three cities as well as guessing at a possible attack by sea. The Phantoms around the table scratched their heads as they watched, trying to figure out where he was pulling these locations and strategies from, but just as he spoke and started planning counteroffensives, the new alarm came that confirmed the accuracy of his predictions.

"Fuck me.... I hate being right sometimes...." he hissed, tail thrashing behind him as he bit his thumb. Turneval, no doubt, had already planned this far. Ki'Tavi was playing a very complex game of chess against someone with undoubtedly centuries of experience over him. Just trying to keep up would be a nightmare, let alone getting ahead. However, Kit couldn't focus on that now. At this point, he was tuning out everything except what was expressly relevant to his planning, eyes darting over the map as he moved pieces this way and that. Prospects stared blankly at the scene, while more seasoned Phantoms did their best to try and follow the planning as best they could. Sure, compared to Raiki, Kit was still, well, a kitten. However, that didn't mean Kit's knack for tactics was worthless..

Then came the "deal".

No, it wasn't a deal. It was a delayed surrender. Cyrus was, undoubtedly, the most privy to the ways of fighting against Turneval. Without Cyrus, they would be without the one major trump card they could potentially use against Turneval. No, such demand could not be agreed to in full.

Kit slammed his fist down on the table, his eyes focused on the table. There was a solution here somewhere. There had to be a way to take some of the cards out of Turneval's hands. There was one option, but at best it was a longshot. His trademark spell, Nine Lives, may be able to help, were it modified appropriately. Even still, he'd only have a short time to modify it enough to even hope it could fool the Death Knights. He'd never needed to use the spell to make full flesh and blood clones. He'd only ever used it to make flimsy imitations, but that didn't mean it was the limit of the spell. He could potentially make a perfect clone, but no doubt there would be consequences. Normally, his clones weren't tied to closely to his form, so he barely felt so much as a tickle when the clones were destroyed. For a full blooded clone... No doubt he wouldn't be so immune to the pain.

At this juncture, however, it was the best option he had. Letting Cyrus be sacrificed would all but guarantee their destruction, even if it delayed it by six months. If he was lucky, maybe Cyrus would have a trick or two of his own he could add to the spell that could make it fully convincing. Surely between the two of them there was at least a chance...

However, it was a significant gamble. Should the attacks come now, they would lose many lives. Six months later, though, doubtless all the lives would be lost.

"Phantoms... I want you to tell me when I've made a clone you can't tell from the original. Use any magic sensing at your disposal." He ordered as he straightened up. Time and again, he created a clone of himself. At first, the call outs came quickly, but with each attempt, the Phantoms took a little longer to tell the real from the fake. He didn't have time to take a break. He had to adapt quickly and hope to have this plan ready by the time Cyrus and the Guildmaster returned.

Risa glanced over to Veth at her response. Truthfully she didn't expect what she said would be so blindly followed or believed in what she said. So long as she was willing to not indulge the information on anyone else was the important part to her. "I have no plans on hiding it should it the plan be enacted, although if the deal is altered in some way I'd rather it be not public ally known. Any backlash to it is my responsibility as Guild master. I wasn't appointed for the glory after all, I am to act as leader and take responsibility for the guild's actions." She spoke out in brief as Cyrus approached quickly accepting her request though with a seeming displeased composure.

As the spell took hold and Cyrus placed his hand on her shoulder she kept still. Her eyes glowed as her iris's adapted in order to much more visually observe the spell. It was almost a habit of hers to do so, even if she wasn't a spell caster herself the more she understood various forms of magic the more adapt she was at dealing with it. Cyrus spell wasn't completely unheard of, she had witnessed spells of a similar dynamic before though not to the degree he was weaving it. It went beyond simple construction much larger in scope then she had witnessed before. As she was shifted into the new plane she kept her rather simple expression though inside she couldn't help but be impressed by such advance forms of magic, only further strengthened by his explanation of how it functioned.

"I understand." She spoke right to the point, nodding her head. As interested as she was in asking more about the realm she wanted to get straight to business. While he mentioned the concept of bending time, she wasn't sure just how much it could really be bent. It was best to simply consider time flowing normally in the pocket dimension he created for them.

"Xhorhas is gone by now, destroyed by the bomb that was sent to strike the city. Though the city is lost, I managed to buy time and hold off the invasion at the very least for an hour, though given the deal goes over smoothly it should buy us 6 months worth of time in order to better prepare as much as we can. However... the cost..." She spoke looking at Cyrus as she pointed his finger at Cyrus. "It was to trade you for this temporary peace. He had attempted to barter for Ellis as well in order for us to have a 6 month treaty, though I managed to convince him of your importance to ensure we could have the 6 months of rest. He spoke showing interest in you and Ellis's ability to utilize the weave." She finished looking towards Cyrus before speaking again.

"Naturally... you don't have to accept the deal if you don't want. While I feel the 6 months would be the most beneficial and give us the best potential for victory, it is still only by a thin margin and even then I am uncertain how plausible that is. At the very least it would buy us an hours worth of time to prepare... though it seemed incline to send a bomb towards the guild if he fell through on the deal." She spoke wanting to be fully open and to show she had no desire to force him into the decision.

Cyrus of Trostenwald | Guild Demiplane > Guild Hall | Hanarei Hanarei

He was faced with total uncertainty. Xhorhas was gone, but Albion had a chance. A glimmer of light. Cyrus' body bent backward in shock as he sat down on a chair, that seemed to have appeared out of nowhere. The old wizard stared blankly, his eyes wavering, narrowing, and widening sporadically as he thought and calculated outcomes.

Moments passed and eventually, he said, "I... see."

The wizard stood up and nodded, not betraying a touch of emotion. "There's no helping it. The exchange is worth it if you make the most of it."

Cyrus looked aside and waved: a green portal opened, leading to the Guild Hall. "I must prepare, and you must protect the boy," he put emphasis on the word. "Surely, Turenval's minions will spend many of their resources tracking Ellis' movements and trying to capture him. Any idea where he is? He must have survived the bombing -- a coward's strength is his ability to run away."

Risa wasn't really sure what to expect from Cyrus reaction, though it didn't make her feel any better either way. No matter how he might act she knew what might await him was far from pleasant, a fate potentially much worst then death itself. As cold and unflinching as she attempted to portray herself as, she still had her own emotions bottled up and sealed away. You could only suppress it so much, they were always there for someone like herself who had taken the role in her teen years.

"Understood. I fully intend to do such... and I plan to make him earn the extra time I bought him. I am uncertain where he is although I suspect he is likely with others in the guild." She spoke looking at him not wanting to question his decision To express doubt or question his certainty was in her own mind rather disrespectful to do. "I am doubtful any sort of trickery would work, although if its possible to in some way keep a residual copy of your mind here that would be the best option. I know it doesn't equate to your physical being nor have the potential of using magic, but it might provide useful... if you think its possible to do such a thing. Truthfully I'm not all that certian how much 6 months might be able to buy us in planning and training, but I am hoping to exploit it as much as possible to give us the best chance for victory." Risa finished speaking, giving a brief pause before continueing on.

"Don't worry too much about it, I don't want to keep you from any business you wish to complete before the trade occurs. You should have approximately 55 minutes left. I'm certain I'll be contacted soon enough about the destruction of the city as well." She added on electing to stay a bit longer in the pocket dimension giving Cyrus the chance to depart first.

When Cyrus and Risa vanished, Veth stood there silently for a moment. At least Cyrus would be informed of the fate Risa had opted for him, and surely he'd come up with a plan to avoid sacrificing himself. It was perhaps a foolish hope, but Veth truly felt sending Cyrus to their enemy was a mistake. However, she also new this wasn't her decision. She turned around when she heard a hand slam on a nearby table. The origin was that of her rival Ki'Tavi looking upset over something. There was a mention of a clone as his minions straightened at his orders.

Veth approached Ki'Tavi - well the one she believed was the original - not sure if the human woman would follow after her. Her stoic glance at the other mercenaries cause a few to mumble as she approached, some not wanting her to get close to Ki'Tavi as he procured a clone of himself. Her blue eyes slid down to the tail for a moment, her eyes going upward as she walked around to the front of him. "What exactly is the purpose of this?"

She didn't know he had overheard the deal as well, all she knew was he was suddenly multiplying.[/div][/div][/div]

Cyrus of Trostenwald | Guild Demiplane > Guild Hall > Cyrus' Study| Hanarei Hanarei

"I'll copy the contents of my mind and place them in my study and maybe connect them to the Guild Seals if I have the time," he explained to Risa. "Console them for advice and information, but know that planning against Turenval is a fool's errand. Train, and grow. Become something more. The enemy is strong, so you either have to find a weak point, or become stronger. Preferably both."

Cyrus walked outside through the green portal - it was permanent unless either him or Risa consciously decided to close it. He needed to prepare, so he headed upstairs to his laboratory and began work.

The conjurer took a diamond out from the drawer and began channeling magical energy into it to facilitate the magic he was about to mold. He connected the diamond with the Guild's thaumaturgical system and then prepared and executed a short ritual to transfer a copy of his mind into it, all of which took him another ten minutes. Time well-spent. The Guild needed guidance right now. He put the diamond next to a golden ring and cast a quick transmutation spell to make them connect.

The wizard moved onto the next step of his plan and brewed a Potion of Soul-Destruction. He'd try to hold through Turenval's experiments - give the Guild the six months it required. But if the lich got dangerously close to obtaining the Power of Mystra, Cyrus would drink the potion and irreversibly make his soul inert to prevent him from succeeding. He would do it earlier, if need be.

Cyrus cast the ingredients into the pot. Several shardmind fragments, charged ectoplasm, negative energy crystals, and other mystical reagents of varying strength and purpose. While the potion was being prepared, he took another pot and began cooking stew -- perhaps the last chance he'd get to eat a decent meal in his life if things went wrong.

And with all that being done, the potion and stew being in the process of preparation, he began to take out rubies, diamonds, and various other precious gems from compartments around his room. He filled them all with pure silver fire, turning them into batteries so that the Guild could call on a fragment of his strength whenever required.

Bem the Apianian - Reception
"What is it that you are going to do? Your tone worries me.." Bem asked cautiously, not taking joy in the goddess' smile as she spoke the words as they brought her considerable discomfort. "You don't plan on striking me down with a lightning bolt or something.. Do you?" The apianian woman asked without a hint of humour in her voice, as though all gods had such abilities, her nervousness slipping into her wonderful voice. It wasn't that Bem doubted she was a goddess, she just didn't think they seemed very godly for one

Bem, after hearing the man's words, stared at him incredulously. "This 'pretty garbage-looking spear' as you have called it has slain more enemies of the apiana than hairs there are on your head! It's served me well and deserves more respect than the lowly words of a human can muster! Hmph!" Bem growled briskly at strange man that had teleported before her. "... And if you seek a name, search no longer. I am Bem, warrior of the apiana. Your words confuse me, why do you compliment me yet I have done nothing? Is that a human thing?" she asked as the man continued "I know not of this 'hugging' or 'cuddling'. Please expand." she mumbled bitterly at him, still insulted after him calling her weapon of choice poor-looking. Even if it did, that didn't give him the right to say it..

Elizabeth Cain - Reception
"Awh.. I see how it is. I suppose I'll just have to seek aid elsewhere~ I suppose I'll just have to search on my own then. If you change your mind dear, feel free to call." Elizabeth simply grinned as she strode away from the group, deciding to travel the fort on her lonesome rather than attempting to persuade the woman to take her around. "Perhaps.. Another time." she whispered back to her with a devilish grin before disappearing from sight in search of Cyrus

Armad's eyes widened as he heard Drui ask if she wanted her to prove that she was a goddess. He then embraced Bem and clung to her, "No! Don't hurt Bem the adorable!" He said eyeing the goddess, "I know your tricks. Everyone knows that the more beautiful a human looking woman is the more dangerous she is." he looked up and down, inspecting Drui, then nodding, "And judging by your radiant beauty and overall physical appeal, you are perhaps one of the most dangerous people I've ever met." He nodded clutching Bem, "Also Bem the adorable, this is a hug. A hug is an embrace between two people that often times is used to show affection. Sometimes that affection can be romantic in nature, sometimes it can be cordial or friendly in nature, but it is, never the less, affection. A cuddle is a hug when laying down, typically between two people who are trying to sleep and find the presence of another reassuring. It can also lead to spooning which is where one person lays on their side and is cuddled by the other." He said with a smile.

He looked at Bem, "Wow you really are soft and fuzzy. I did well in naming your race. Also I mean no offense about your spear, it's just I could make you one that's so much better. I'd do it for free too." He gave a sly smile, "After all you won't find a better craftsman. Weapons, jewelry, armor, houses, all of them I can make fairly quickly with the right materials."

Viska
Location: Guild of Heroes Guild hall
Action: Informing Garheil what she remembers and going off to see the others.

When Viska and her friends teleported back to the guild, they found a bunch of people there, all talking. Viska however was sadden by the losses she saw back in the Paladins guild, and Garheil waking up asking what happened brought those memories back. Why does everything have to result in bloodshed? Why can't everyone just play a game of patty cake to become friends? Why did everyone have to be enemies?

Viska turned to Garheil with a sad look.
"The Paladins were attacked and nearly defeated by a Death Knight, most didn't make it. Last I look the Death Knight was fighting strongly against other heroes. We escaped, and before we left we were told that an unknown bomb was heading to Xhorhas, what happened after I don't know. You'll find more out from Risa the Guildmaster... I'm sorry that I couldn't do much..."

The Kobold girl looked visibly upset as she began to walk away with her head down, dragging her tail on the floor in sadness. Solus decided not to say anything, Viska would face much worse in the coming year.

She passed by a group of people, some she didn't recognize before, but she continued to walk away slowly.
