....we ran out of that paint a week ago.Gospeller said:Alrigh' alrigh', we'll start tonight then. And also - yeah sure that's all good n'stuff, don't worry. Apart from that though, we must paint this in true Song of Ice and Fire colours.
Hey!Morbuskid said:2 things
1. which free city is closest to the western shore of Westeros, or if not which one is closest to the highest un-colonized mountain?
2. would it be alright if my character was a foreigner to Westeros?
I like the idea, but, Westeros is the only place in The Known World that has a 'King'. Everywhere else; Free Cities, Slaver's Bay, Qarth, Asshai have leaders and lords, but, they have no Kings or Queens.Morbuskid said:To be honest i thought that most would be more inland.
Would it be alright if my Character was actually a man becoming a king in his kingdom (NOT IN WESTEROS) but to do so he must carry his flag through Westeros to the highest mountain and then get a Westeros power's flag as a form of alliance to bring back to his land still in tact to complete the final task to claim the Throne of his dead father. If you don't like the idea then how about i just give a good sized story to cement the idea?
If not then i am probably just going to be a warrior with a caravan come to trade their strong steel and metal ores for Iron wood.
You've got yourself an interest back story and premise there, well done man- it's quite creative. But, I'm afraid it is to expansive to fit it in anywhere. I've already broke a few rules of the 'Game Of Thrones' lore, and I want to try and make this as lore-friendly as possible.Morbuskid said:I am going to write as much as possible and try to make as much sense of it. I am just going to put this in story form.
During the time before Westeros was even colonized, lived kingdoms who thrived off war. Each kingdom had the same belief in one god and they believed that this god would not be happy and bring forth the harvest, (Harvest= something like a golden age to them with more agricultural means when the land is thriving in plants, animals, and fresh running water that they believe is a gift from the divine or the one god.), until the divided kingdoms were one great empire. However one Kingdom rose and had decided that the war they had against each other was more so destroying the harvest that they so needed and wanted. Finally after 80 years of blood shed and needless death the kingdoms had became the empire they dreamed of through diplomatic means. Finally death had little to no purpose of the warriors and they now were happy to slaughter those against the Empire. The Empire was officially named, "Terra di Dio", (So people wouldn't use star wars references xD ). The Bellum family was the longest living family to be in power of the Empire which they had always kept in a classical age of nothing but advancement and fortune. Soon enough the armies stretched far and wide and the King was always trained to be elite and had to finish 10 tasks to appease the divine before he could truly become King. One of those many tasks were to take the empire's flag and However Kings, people who are becoming soldiers or just regular people were always taught in universities, either rich or not. The flourishing Empire finally became open and more social as it traded with other lands but little did it know of the Westeros power arising and then cementing it's place in those lands. So now a king has died and a new King needs to arise to the throne but there are many newer powers in Westeros and some are not so inviting. The future of the empire now lies in the new King's hands to complete a task of Endurance, strength, bravery, and a simulation of conquest. If he is able to succeed, he will claim his ancestors throne and open up great trade to the land of Westeros but, if he fails then his families glory dies and the Empire becomes seperated once more.
Really?TheSword said:You've got yourself an interest back story and premise there, well done man- it's quite creative. But, I'm afraid it is to expansive to fit it in anywhere. You could perhaps be a merchant from one of The Free Cities. We don't know much about certain Free Cities, so, you could bend the rules a little there and come up with an interesting back story for your merchant, if you'd like.
You can go ahead and expand on your story if you'd like, but, I'm not sure if I'll be able to work with it. I want to be as lore friendly as possible. If you want to come up with another character then that's fine, if you want to find another RPG then that's fine.Morbuskid said:Really?
I thought you were one of those guys who thought detail was everything, I DIDN'T KNOW THAT YOU WANTED 3 SENTENCES! GOD xD .
I am just trying to make the RP a little more interesting for players. Plus i really don't want to be a stupid mercenary or knight that dies off later besides if you really want then here give me 1 more chance to explain what i was going to do. If not then i guess i am just gonna have to die off sooner or later then be on my way from this RP to another which is totally fine with me but this Series just interests me because i like Mythology and medieval related topics.
WELL WHY DID YOU THINK BREAKING THE LORE WOULDN'T MAKE OTHERS WANT TO xDTheSword said:You can go ahead and expand on your story if you'd like, but, I'm not sure if I'll be able to work with it. We'd be happy to have ya', but, your story just wouldn't fit in anywhere that I know of. I'm sorry man. :[
There's a difference.Morbuskid said:WELL WHY DID YOU THINK BREAKING THE LORE WOULDN'T MAKE OTHERS WANT TO xD
I am going to think over my story to see what i can fix to get your approval or just make a free soldier, until then would you like to join me on a BF1942 forgotten hope server with the Rattetank?TheSword said:There's a difference.
The only breaking of lore I did is the ability for women to be the lords of a house. Which in GoT, only a man can be the leader of a house. You've come with with an incredibly detailed piece of work that revolves around ancient civilizations, and Gods, and the like.
They are both different examples of lore-breaking. I've only broken a small bit of lore so that players could make whoever they want to make when it comes to a man or a woman being the lord of a house. You've come up with something entirely new. Get me?
Thank you for the offer, but, I'm afraid I do not have that game. I look forward to seeing what you come up with man!Morbuskid said:I am going to think over my story to see what i can fix to get your approval or just make a free soldier, until then would you like to join me on a BF1942 forgotten hope server with the Rattetank?
