Fandom A Game Called Life (Accepting)

Well first off, I'd like to direct you to the whole of the Cthulu Mythos. Like, simply take a moment and let it all sink in. Then there are the less hard-core things such as Driders, Vodnici, Jikininki, Manananggal, Onamazu, Yama-Uba, Leviathan, Behemoth, a multitude of creatures that dwell on Yggdrasil including a giant hawk, a giant squirrel, four stags, and too many goddamn serpents to count, the ever classic Kraken, Wendigo, Blemmyes, Umibozu, Naga, Nian, Drauger, Kelpies, Grendal, Dullahan, Scylla, Charybdis, and so much more.

I can go on and on and on with this, trust me. So have fun looking all these up.

And please, if you want more, just ask.

@Exanis

Good luck in your endeavors. The process of unlocking hidden skills are quite buried. Can you be sure that you will meet every requirement before another?

And furthermore, stretch beyond the standards if you wish to impress me.

If you look around page 25ish and past there should be a brief recap there. I'll try to dig it up for you real quick.

@general ostruppen

I do thank you for the interest in our little story. However, @Exanis has provided you a little footnote of current events.

If you want an altogether summary on what has happened;

Firstly, the Gleamfang Den has been cleared. With it clearing, the individuals known as Denizens became extremely self aware, as well much more active. Parting them from their 'game' basics to a much more realistic environment.

Secondly, we held our first World Event, which was stationed within a neighboring town. On the way, they were raided by a group of Denizens, mostly from Aparches. All untrained, and slaughtered quite thoroughly as all chose the massacre route.

Then, upon arriving at the 'barren' town, they were confronted by thirteen cloaked individuals. The speaker sent them on a quest, splitting up the groups across the land.

Arriving at the destination(s), all groups were forced to wait until nightfall, bringing about a sense of anxiety seeing as nothing occurred for some odd 10 hours.

During the night, the groups were attacked, more so by unique individuals labeled 'Heroes'. Rok the giant, and Sun Zhao. (Read up on them a little more in the overview)

Passing two of the three trials, they triumphed the world event. Later providing everyone with linkshells (Communication across great distance), and mounts.

Lastly, the Denizens within Aparches have openly rebelled against the Adventurers, thanks to the massacre route. Staying in the town would result in endless slaughter, as more waited within the temple to kill those who just respawned.

Sun Zhao, the hero who attacked the second group, now provided shelter within the Gleamfang Den, with a few other heroes in tow. Their standing is a complete mystery. Seeing as they have now taken both rolls, attacker and savior to the Adventurers.

There is a decent snip-it of events.

You could just as well simply start in GleamFang's den as a way to get immediate interaction with other characters, once you create yours that is. It isn't necessary to start in town, and I do believe we may be moving on soon.

There are a limited number of places an individual can start at the current time.

If you desire to spawn within town, I would suggest a location within the depths of it, furthest from the gates. A black market, the alleys, perhaps even a remote place to rest. Just know, your main objective is to escape that town.

However, as @Exanis stated, you can always pick Gleamfang. And an armored hero just ported in (a giant blue portal) to the cave with 10 adventurers. You could very well be one of those. (This puts you in proximity of @Lana Valentine @Clockwork Syringe @xEmoBunnehx )

You could also be running in a random direction and collide with myself and Exanis. Though take note, our arc lies differently than the main story. As my character will likely not unite with the main cast.

As for your question.

The terrain outside of Aparches would be the highlands. You would descend a small mountain to reach the hill-riddled plains that are layered with random slabs of stone and rock. For visual reference, it would follow suit of the Scottish Highlands, much like below in terrain. There is no set landmarks within the town's vicinity, so feel free to splurge with the tileset.

If you wish to partake in the main story flow, probably. Besides, if my character stays out of the main flow, one can be sure that I am not holding a bias in favor of my own character during events. Though, I will use elements to put my character further in her arcs as to construct the world as we move along. I wish not to partake, but I will make sure that I have a heavy hand where needed.

Lana Valentine (Our GM), playing as Roku Wolfhound. This individual appears to have direct relations to the thirteen heroes.

Clockwork Syringe , playing as Orlando Demrox. A reliable lad who is quite skilled in combat, and leadership.

xEmoBunnehx , playing as Kala Guaze. Carrying the greatsword Anguish, she can prove to be a scary fighter. She appears to have a history with cult activities. (Correct me if I am wrong, @xEmoBunnehx )

@revior , playing as Joshua Gladius. Carrying two-handed blades, and more recently a bow, he proves to be a decent ally. His mind proves to be on point, and he is quite the lovable little character that adds more flavor to the RP.

[QUOTE="general ostruppen]Weapon of Choice(Magic goes here as well): Prefers to stick with Earth and Black Magic, along with a rifle. If he needs to get physical he uses his sack full of daggers to throw and stab with.

Mild notes, gunpowder weaponry is still locked. As such, a rifle is not allowed currently.

As well, you need a catalyst for magics. Whether it is a magic sword, magic bow, arcane gloves, staff, wand, trinkets, or even runes.

Otherwise, I like the character so far. I'll look forward to see him in the story when acceptance is made.

@Kel Vas

Trust me, there is no boredom for me when dealing with Ashelynn. The adventures we are going to have together shall be grandiose in nature.
