James Porter
Ryan wasn't as close or attached to Tommy to share James' desire for vengeance and that was why he deep down had to admit to himself that he wasn't the one who should kill Sergeant Higgins. James had been employed as Emmet's hitman on many occasions because he was always emotionally detached, which meant he was completely focused and had a near perfect record of eliminating all targets. James was not detached from Tommy and he knew that could blind him. Ryan had proved himself time after time and regardless of how he felt about Tommy, he was certain the man would successfully execute the Sergeant. "Thank you, Ryan. I'll get you the information you need," he assured him. He would find out everything he could about the cop; his habits and any strengths it would be useful for Ryan to know of.
The sound of knocking brought James out of his thoughts. He called out for whoever it was to enter his office. He observed the man, who he recalled he'd only seen very briefly once or twice, back when James himself was just one of Emmet's soldiers. Though he barely recognised the man, Kennedy was the only newcomer he was expecting that evening and judging by the way the man regarded Lucy, he was certain it was her cousin. "You must be Kennedy," he greeted the man, though his face remained serious. He stepped away from the desk he'd been leaning on and shook the newcomer's hand. "Have you seen Finn yet?" he asked, doing his bit to make him feel welcomed with the kind of small talk many liked to adopt. "You've not visited the family in quite some time. What brings you here now?" he asked. He glanced to Lucy, who no doubt may have cringed at James' straight to the point question. Still, it had been an exhausting day, so James felt there was little point in dancing around the subject.
