Personality: Azzni prefers to be alone and when met, he is often kind. He has a strict code of honor and will fight no one unless they attack first. He believes that revenge is false and a wrong doers should be handled by the authorities. Meditation is one of his favorite things to do, as it makes him calm. Although it's best not to interrupt Azzni when he meditates because he will most likely be agitated. He prefers to keep his sense of humor for himself and close associates.


Biography: Azzni was born in a small town in a desert. He grew up with his older brother and father. Azzni's father was a powerful warrior who had traveled the world, doing good deeds and completing quests. His two sons (Azzni and his brother) were brought up with the values of a fighter and the elder brother was much taller and stronger than his younger sibling. He was only a year older but at a young age his height made him look much more grown up. Azzni was smaller and weaker, he wasn't even as quick as his brother. In his teenage years, he remained as competitive as ever. The older brother despised his sibling calling him a "pathetic" and "weakling". It also didn't help that the mother of the family had passed away during the birth of Azzni. The elder sibling was better at Azzni at almost everything really. Azzni for ever lived in his shadow.



Growing up, Azzni would always train with magic and found that the only way he could hold his ground was being smarter. Azzni would wear light armor (leather, furs etc.) his brother would wear heavy armor (iron, steel etc.). He quite liked the lighter armors and never really had the strength to wear heavy-duty gear for long.



When Azzni was fourteen, his brother was training in the wilderness and during this time a group of thugs decide to invade the family's home. The father had a nice house and he had sold quite the amount of loot during his adventuring days. But the thugs just wanted his weapons and smaller pricey valuables that would be easy to carry. The thugs broke in and the father (while quite old) still put up a hell of a fight. Azzni joined the battle but against a group of five large men, with the element of surprise the two stood no chance. Azzni was smashed aside by the handle of an axe and as he connected with a bookcase and he blacked out.



He woke to his house in a complete mess but worse than that his father was dead. As he went approach his father's recently deceased body his older brother walked in and was absolutely furious. He told him he was a failure and he was going to leave him here and start a new life. The brother became one of the most famous warriors who would not let any tragedies like this ever happen again. He lashed out at him violently and the two had an unarmed fight but it was the older brother who as expected, won. It also didn't help Azzni had already been knocked out and yet again vision faded to black.



He awoke in the house again and began to cry. Azzni called the authorities from the town to clean up the mess and the remains of his father. He then lived in the house, haunted by the memories of his family that were now gone until he eventually hit adulthood and decided to leave.



Azzni traveled to a new province, looking for work but to no avail. He then headed north due to finding more work there. He thought there would be lots of work. He crossed the border and was taken to a village where he was to be executed. Azzni later escapes and discovers the power to create an Azure Flame. Azzni decides to take a goal very similar to that of his brother. He travels around the world and saves people along the way.



Azzni overtime became a master of swordsmanship until eventually, he meets his brother again. When meeting his brother his brother respected him and they make the unanimous decision that there can only be one. The brother has been watching his younger brother years and has known about the Azure Flame. Because of this, his brother taught himself a new spell: The Crimson Bolt. Azzni went up the mountains to defeat his brother and settle their rivalry once and for all. Azzri just barely defeated his brother.



Azzni wishes to be more knowledgeable in the art of magic so he joined the Academy.

Personality: Morund is a jolly, lenient individual who oft bends the rules and teaches with combined enthusiasm and eccentricity. The approachable dwarf is happy to lend a hand to those willing to ask, if not always entirely able to make complete focus on a task at hand - preferring experience to study.


Biography:


Early in his life, Morund was drafted into a civil war that divided the dwarven and elven races, though the peace treaty that ended that feud was satisfactory to keep those former tensions from reaching modern society. During that war, he suffered a severe injury early on. An arrow had struck his shin and shattered his tibia. Whilst full medical treatment could have yielded a recovery, out in the field the only safe option for medics following a shortage of disinfectant was to amputate. Not one to simply be held down, he got to work, hobbling with a cane for a second leg, aiding with fixing swords as a smithy as well as designing a prosthetic leg for himself. During this time, an injured enemy elf was brought in for treatment, despite war tensions. This elf, Ecthelon Reylas, had been struck in the nerve to their right arm and had as such lost feeling and control of it. As both were in no position to fight, despite Morund's heavy suspicion of the elf, the two came to converse, both one of few 'lucky' to merely be crippled by injury as opposed to outright killed. In time and with the close of the war, the two became friends, and eventually even closer to romantic partners.


During their time together, Ecthelon showed Morund the ways of Elven Wizardry, which he took to extremely naturally. He learned to incorporate its abilities into blacksmithing, which allowed him to create legendary pieces of armour and weaponry by manipulating heat in metal to extreme position, and more accurately adjusting materials through telekinesis. Alas, their unity was cut short after many years of happiness together. Ultimately it was a foreign disease that struck down Ecthelon, one seemingly exclusive to the race of elves. With no cure in sight, despite the taboo at the time on interracial marriages, especially in elven custom, the two agreed to exchange their wedding vows and be united before it was too late, Morund taking his partners' last name in the process. As Ecthelon weakened, the two travelled together til he finally passed months later. Following his death, Morund settled where his travels had taken him, ignoring royal requests to forge armour for the army and instead settling as a local, private blacksmith.


After several years he grew wary of the small town, but had no desire to take up the offers of riches for the nonstop time in a forge that smithing for an army would require. Instead, he looked to further his knowledge of Wizardry to honor his late husband. However, he did not anticipate that the knowledge Ecthelon had granted him would be expansive enough to make schooling in the area beneath him, so instead he opted to pass the knowledge on to others, applying and succeeding for a position teaching Wizardry (and later, Physics) to students. Now entering his 15th year teaching, he hopes to inspire a passion for wizardry in his students by doing more showing, less telling.

Appearance:


As to be expected of a dwarf, Morund is stout in height, easily looking up to most elves, orcs, and humans. His features, whilst not elderly in appearance, are certainly weathered by time with small pockmarks and a toughness of skin from years by a fire evident to the naked eye. His cleaved figure makes it obvious he is not a mage of relaxation or of study, but of action, with barrel like arms that show decades of regular heavy lifting. His auburn hair is twined in a beard as well as flowing long behind him, though the sides are shaved to avoid being caught aflame by the forge. His jaunty brown eyes firmly assert his presence without bringing tension.


Morund typically will dress in simple clothing, though opts to rarely cover his arms. As a result, a cloth vest and pants will be the most common sight on him. As an armourer, and with few times he truly needs to fight, most time he will be required to wear armour he will have designed himself a brand new set already. Occasionally, he will try out such new sets without a need for fighting, merely to test their comfort and mobility.

Combat style, if any: He still fights well with a hammer, and has enough long time experience to use it in a variety of ways. Most significantly, he integrates wizardry into his fighting by manipulating the temperature, energy, and movement of his hammer and his surrounds.

Personality: Robin is a kind person by nature, usually smiling or helping people in any way he can. He can be a bit goofy, often making a complete fool out of himself just for the entertainment of elders and children. Thankfully he has a responsible and independent side, taking control of a situation and motivating companions if they need it.


Biography: (Running off the fact that this is fantasy/medieval) Robin was born as the oldest son to the King Jeremiah of a far off land. His father had gotten extremely ill during Robin's sixteenth birthday, and without a Queen - as she had died after his sister's birth - he was made to lead from the sidelines. His father rested and recovered often, maintaining enough strength for public appearances and speeches but nothing more than that; it was a mystery to everyone. Word did not get out until after a negotiation mission went a bit sour with a neighboring kingdom.


Robin had chosen a single knight - a new one, who identified himself as Nic - to go with him, and it was going well up until the king of this other, hostile kingdom threatened to crush Robin's. It was then Robin made his true identity clear, and swore that should harm come to his people he would not hesitate to strike this cruel king down himself.


This was his motivation for learning magic, and he left his home in the care of his trusted knight.

Um, I apologize, 9forgotten, that I did not make this clear, but it is medieval fantasy, not modern fantasy. The most modern society is that of the Orcs, which is about 1500s in tech and society.
 
Also the likes part, as there is no such thing as skateboards or basketball in this setting, due to the human lands at least being based upon medieval europe.

Crix would be best described as a neutral evil person. He has no wish to see the world burn nor does he aspire to save the world from any impending doom. Any deal he makes is for himself and any alliance he breaks is only for his own convenience. In terms of people and their well being, Crix would prefer not having to hurt anybody but will not hesitate nor regret once he has done so. He does not care much about loyalty or friends, to himself or to others, not blaming anybody if he is betrayed and not hesitating to betray another.


In brief, Crix is a wild card who does what he likes, when he likes, regardless of who are benefitted or who are hurt.


Biography:


There have been rumors and gossips about Crix's childhood as the cryomancer rarely talks about it. What is known is that he grew up in a magical community. His mother died shortly after his birth leaving his scholarly father to raise him alone. Although Crix's father did what he could in raising his only child, the grief from the loss of his wife drove the man to his books, locking himself in his library and leaving his son mostly ignored.


It is during this time in Crix's life that is mostly left to speculation. Some say his deceitful nature appeared during this time as learned to fend for himself. Other say that he was actually naive, only learning the value of deception after being hurt many times. Either way, it was at this point in his life that he discovered his magical power, cryomancy: the manipulation of water in the form of ice.


His power was mostly self-taught through many months of practice and countless hours studying the volumes stored in his father's library. Seeking new knowledge and a greater understanding of magic, he enrolled into the mage college, which is where he is today.

Combat style, if any:


Crix mostly relies on his magic in combat, summoning and manipulating ice in order to form walls, shields, weapons, or other tools for himself. As an excellent swordsman, the ice weapons Crix summons usually take the form of a rapier or some other one handed sword. He does, however, summon a gun similar to a flint lock pistol when engaging in ranged combat. These firearms can be, but rarely are, summoned as a pair.

Biography:



Thalia was born into a family of Sorcerers. Her family was very well liked throughout the town she lived in when she was little. Thalia was born with a cursed mark by a witch, one day when her pregnant mother was walking through the town she came across a witch who was very envious of her since Thalia's mother had married her lover. She cast a spell on Thalia's mother when she was pregnant with Thalia but her mother thought nothing was wrong with her. Her mother went into labor and she gave birth to a healthy beautiful baby girl, but when they looked at her back they saw a mark. It was the cursed mark of the witch, this mark was to bring terrible fortune to the young girl. Her mother and father tried everything in their will to keep their child a secret from the world. As Thalia grew so did her mark and it became more detailed throughout the years of her development. On Thalia's seventeenth birthday the mark pulsated and eventually the mark outlined the whole scripture on her back shinning a bright light through her body.



That day she had no control of her actions and nearly destroyed the whole entire town if it wasn't for her parents stopping her and removing the curse that was once a burden for her. That day she went under a deep sleep after that hit nearly killed her, she spent days that turned into weeks and weeks turned into months in bed receiving the care/treatment until her body was fully recovered. As a reminder of what had happened to her the mark(which is below that is marked as 'tattoo') is still there. It was a written prophecy for her future that she will either be the destroyer or the savior of the earth that she lives in. It haunts her everyday to think that she might destroy or save the world. Thalia spent her life controlling, balancing, and learning about her abilities. Her father spent many years teaching her the great ways to control herself, and taught her how to protect herself with and without her abilities. She grew up with only a couple of friends but that didn't get to her since she mainly focused on helping others, her abilities, and maintaining her cool. Thalia grew up to be very well manner, poised, and mature young lady that her mother would envisioned for her to be as she grew up. She has fought along side kings, queens, and other high end royalty, providing them her abilities and services.

Personality:

Krotus is a stoic and grey man. He does have his moments of dark dry humour, his occasional laugh at such jokes. Krotus is calm and collected at all times, never losing his patience and being very tolerant. He is a very intense man when he needs to be, which causes people to need a certain confidence to approach him since he is almost always serious. He has his moments of social blooming but doesn't show it outside of his quarters.

Biography:


Krotus was born to a human mother and elf father, being an only child. He had learned at the age of 3 of his affinity towards darkness and magic, being oddly intelligent for being so young. He had lived a peaceful life of training and happiness, being a very extroverted and energetic child, up until he was 13 when he was forced to kill his parents due to a sorcerer's influence on them. He spent the rest of his time afterwards traveling and learning so long that he lost track of the years. Something inside of him had changed during his time traveling, causing him to become the cold stoic he is today.

It felt like a matter of months, despite it being much much much longer than that, before he overheard of a college for mages. His interest was sparked at hearing that there was room for teachers. Krotus had developed a fondness for teaching his knowledge to others, helping them on a personal level, and the college seemed like a great opportunity for him. He decided to go to the college in hopes of becoming a teacher and settling down finally.

Biography: Ryan has always grown up curious and a thirst for knowledge. He has been in many troubles because of his curiosity, but he has also seen a lot of beautiful things as well. For instance, Ryan had saw spirits of the forest when he was young. This inspired him to learn Nature magic. But other things also inspired him to learn magic as well.


Ryan had a loving family and lived in a semi-rich town. But one day, he decided to leave to find the wonders of the world and to extend his studies. After a year by himself, he had found the school for mages and decided to join the school. But during that one year, Ryan had got scars from creatures and bandits. After finally finding the school, he hopes to learn more about magic and about himself as well. Even after a year by himself, Ryan had not find himself.

Personality: A teasing, flirty, and carefree young man with a heart that despises to be tied down. He permits no attachments, and in his friendliness there is no commitment. If you expect him at your office at seven AM sharp, you had best dash your own hopes, for it is likely you will be waiting a minimum of two hours besides. He scarcely spends a moment in silence, however, and he is a tireless escapist. Be it studying or be it carousing, he always has something to fill his hands. Idleness is not in Aron's nature.


Biography: To a mere farm on the outskirts of civilization was Aron born. He was the last of a dozen siblings, and the most spoiled. His parents made a business out of their younglings, piling labor upon their little backs and growing out their farming business to great extent. On their eighth child, the seventh stumbled into a pit while hoeing the field, and in that pit was a fountain of ether, for which the world was envious. Leaping up through the social classes, Aron arrived just in time to receive every luxurious gift he could have dreamed for.


But his parents would not spend a cent on their children. Though piles of gold was stored under their basement and filled their mattresses (My, did that make for uncomfortable slumber.), they were too greedy to let it part from their fattened sausage fingers. So, as gold often does, the state of their home attracted a band of particularly sadistic highwaymen. Aron hid in the pig stye with his sister as his family met their end.


The bandits found him afterwards, of course, and he was put to work shipping gold. But the bandits were quite stupid and that same night filled themselves with drink, enough that Aron and his sister managed to escape with a wagon full of yellow metal. With these riches invested, they apprenticed to a merchant who, after three years of service, partnered his successful business with Aron's sister, who then sent Aron to magic college so he could have the future she always dreamed of.


He is quite superstitious due to his farmboy upbringing, and serves the Flame god Pyros on prayer day, thus the double major. He's also behind in his studies due to his upbringing, so he's taking a lot of remedial classes to catch up this semester.

Personality: Eric laughs and tells jokes easily (sometimes at the expense of other people) and likes to flirt with cute guys. Despite his promiscuous behavior, at heart he is a hopeless romantic and yearns for a soul-deep connection. In a way he is eternally heartbroken, but covers it up with dark humor and constantly looks for trouble to get into. When someone betrays Eric, he is prone to seeking revenge, sometimes going a bit too far.


Biography: Eric was raised by a single mother on the poor side of town. He was the leader of a band of miscreants that liked to break into abandoned buildings, explore graveyards at night, and get into all sorts of trouble. By the time he became a teen, all of his friends had gone to jail or were addicted to illegal substances. As a result, he spent more time at home, which made his mother happy because she didn't like him running the streets. She put him to work helping her repair rips and tears in clothes, which was how she made a living. He was a natural and could sew five times faster than his mother, who was an excellent seamstress.


Eric soon found out that if he was in a bad mood, then whatever he sewed put the person who wore it into a grumpy, bitter mood. On the flip side, if he was in a good mood, then whatever he sewed made people upbeat and cheerful. He saved up a few coins and bought his own materials and started making his own clothes. After a few experiments, he discovered that he could make clothes that did all kinds of things: he made clothes that could stop a sword like armor, clothes that repelled water and dirt, clothes that never wrinkled, and on and on.


He sold a few of his creations for top dollar to rich folk and made enough money to move to the rich side of town with his mother. She shared in Eric's fortune (of course) and lived like a queen, wearing beautiful dresses and going to upscale restaurants. They were both happy and Eric spent his time going to fancy parties and kissing all the cute guys. But after a while Eric got tired of being the dumbest person in the room: wherever he went, everyone used big words he didn't understand and talked about things he had never heard of.


Finally, Eric invested some money in a tutor and found out that he actually liked to learn, and he also started taking fencing lessons, which he also excelled at. When he turned nineteen, his tutor had taught him everything he knew and Eric decided to go to college to further his education.

Personality: Outgoing and friendly, Shu was liked by most people in his village; however, he had a deep insecurity about his ability with nature magics, and tends to become quite when the topic is brought up.


Biography: Being born an Elf had its ups and downs. Shu had exposure to many types of nature magics from a

young age, and learned the basics from his village elder, he had an outstanding ability to understand the


theories and methods practiced; however, when it came down to practice, he always fell short. While most children in his village were able to make contracts with at least two spirits, Shu could only contract with the spirit of Ice. Even worse, when he tried make contact with the spirits of fire, they would leave immediately or even ignore his call all together. This was Probably caused by his Sorcery, Shu had an unnatural ability to draw the thermal energy away from his surrounding, if he didn't focus, he could even drop the temperature by as mush as 5 degrees unintentially.



One day, while brooding over his lack of ability with nature magics, a




human merchant who was doing business in the village noticed the temperature drop as he passed by Shu. Feeling something was strange he sent out a thermal pulse, it was a simple energy manipulaion, but it required a fair amount of mana to acomplish. The energy was quickly obsorbed by Shu without him meaning to, but in the process he noticed the wave and corrected his concentration. The man, who had to be more than a simple merchant, noticed the energies disaperance and followd it to the source, that is Shu. The man questioned Shu about why he was performing Entropic magic like that, and Shu was at a loss as he didn't know anything about wizardry. Explaining this, the man came to understand what was going on and handed over a pamhplet, explaining that Shu may be able to learn more about his power if he visited the school is described. Thus Shu set out to the school, with a letter of recomendation in hand, wondering who that man really was, and hoping to meet him again.

Personality: Alex is a stoic, right-to-the-point woman who is often taken for being cold and gruff in her attitude. She can be quick to anger and for this reason gets into trouble but can end it quickly and more often than not with a bang, earning her the nickname "Cannon."


Biography:


Alexandra began her magical career as a street mage, an orphaned child left with nothing but her gifts and the attic room of a tavern gifted to her by a barkeep who took pity on the girl. The bustling city she thrived on was full of unassuming people whom she seldom risked stealing from in broad daylight for fear of the ever-present guard force, and instead gained a small income hunting the monsters daily pressing at the city's walls, however come nightfall she took any odd job the city's underworld had to offer her. Gradually as her talents increased, so did the size of her prey and the gold she was rewarded with both among the beast hunters and criminals. She moved out of the tavern attic and got herself a cabin just outside the city walls as she grew to have more business in the forest than with those inside the fort-capitol. Having ascended from a pick-pocket to a well-paid hunter and thief, Alex's activities became two pressing and she dropped the more legal of the two businesses.


This caught the attention of a sorcerer in town who invited her to live with him in his study-home to learn more of her talents. He taught her the science behind magic and how to use it to one's will properly for many years before he passed and the library fell to her. In solitude, Alex sought something further and discovered an aptitude for Sorcery. With this she became able to slightly stretch the restraints of science, however quickly found this was exhausting and mentally taxing. She was in a library, alone, studying magic in the great city she grew up in.


This daydream ended when, after five years of being out of hunting, a shadow creature attacked the city leaving many dead and many more questioning the fabled feats of the elven mage. The people turned and sought out the woman who failed to protect them and burned the library to the ground. Alex's criminal activities came to light and in the matter of a year, Alex was forced to flee with what money she'd earned only to be confronted by the city's elite guard force, a small group of mages whose sole purpose against her was restraint and eventually execution. A battle ensued and Alex used the abilities she'd been fine-tuning for years against them, firing spell after spell in spirals of ice, fire burning cold, and cannon-strength blasts, remembering what she'd learned and executing it as fast as she could. All her efforts to flee were in vain, however, as the mage blacked out mid-cast only to find herself strung to hang.


This time it was not her talents that got her freed but a distraction provided by one soon to become her friend- a small winged lizard whom she would later name Murc. The small creature was gliding overhead and noticed her plight, dove into the gallows courtyard, and proceeded to sink his thorn-like teeth into the hands and ankles of the prison guards. With the chaos that ensued, Alex was able to freeze and break her bonds and escape the loop. Together the two traveled northward before changing course upon learning the existence of a neutral college for the magically gifted.


Likes: Winter storms, good tea, quiet places, and the smell of earth after rain.

Combat style, if any: Loose cannon- Alex casts bright, powerful spells meant to knock one off their feet, however being so powerful they are hard to control and it is very possible she'll miss completely. Her defensive skills are rather poor and any shields she cast cannot withstand more than one or two solid blows from an enemy. She moves fast, casts quickly, and is defenseless if forced to stay still.

Biography: Faolin was born on a cold winter night to his mother Luna Star and his father Gray Star. His family was not royal but rather priests in a secluded sector. He was brought up on Faith based magic in the deity El Elyon the God of Light, Love, and Judgment. They called him this three things. Some had met him although those claims were unfounded and mostly lies. However at a young Age Faolin met his God increasing his faith because of meeting his god he has a spiral mark on his left hand to set him apart. He is now Twenty and still attends worship faithfully every day but know he is going to school because his parents want him to experience the outside world. He had no girlfriends although he did have one girl he liked but she was mated to another male. This broke Faolin's heart making him somewhat cold towards others however because of his faith he is required to be loving so he manages by praying a lot.

He prefers wearing a dark hooded robe for weapon concealment, which has a multitude of hidden pockets. Pants are either deep dark green or black, and are always simple because of concealment. Prefers wearing comfy boots above all else. His daggers are always enchanted and thus glow slightly, which is why he always wears them on the inside of his robe for easy reach.


Character and story : Dhal' Um (shorter, Dal or Dark) was a slave child who worked in the iron mines when he was young. He never knew who his parents were, all he did know was what the slavers told him and assured him of - that they died a slow death. One day a raven flew down into the iron mines and led him out. Despite his trying to get rid of it it just kept following him so he kept it and called her Rhea. Later when he escaped his imprisonment he ran into a band of Shadow Assassins, who kidnapped him, and later taught him to fight and use magic. The grandmaster of the assassins, a powerful necromancer, told him that the raven was his mother who was an elf, and who came to protect him in this world. He killed a lot for the organisation, and eventually earned the right to go on his own path. He now knows ways of using necromancy and shadow magic along with his dagger fighting skills to secure that every kill is silent and swift. Daylight, however, makes his magic useless, which is why he enchants his weapons.


He tends to speak with his mother often, even though she cannot answer. He is a shy character, but can be quite witty and sarcastic from time to time. Dhal has a knack for attracting men, because of his elvish charm, but rarely goes through with anything but smalltalk and rejection, knowing that fate will one day bestow him with a destined lover.


He has seen nations rise and fall, med friends and made foes. He did anything he thought was possible. But, he now feels like something drew him to this academy. It was as if something was lurking beneath the very thread of existence.


He knows his journey has just begun, and cannot wait to begin a new chapter in his, hopefully puposefull, existence.

Personality: Sophia is as studious as they come her hobbies are reading, performing experiments and practicing magic. She can be a bit awkward when it comes to social interactions outside of academics, but when she is in her comfort zone she becomes a lively firework.


Biography: As a young girl, Sophia lived in an orphanage in the countryside. She was often made fun of by boys for being a girl, girls for being a bit of tomboy, and even the adults who ran the orphanage just for being different from the other children. One day, a rich old man came to their humble abode searching for a child to call his own and leave everything to since both his wife and child passed duing labor. The man gave a riddle, one with numerous answers. Some obvious, some not. Each child gave their answer and after each answer he would ask why they came to that conclusion. After being answered yet again he would simply nod his head and continue on to the next child. The adults made sure that Sophia was the last in the line up so that whomever was coming to adopt a child would find their match before having to deal with the likes of her. Fortunately, that worked in her favor. To this day, Sophia can't recall what the question was but she remembers her answer well because it is what caused Lord Bancroft to become her new father.


After observing the others and their responses as well as the question and situation themselves, when it came her turn Sophia answered, "I came to the conclusion that I did because the ends do not justify the means. How you get to a destination as well as how you accomplish a task is just as important as both the destination and tasks themselves. Much like the importance of an answer and how you achieve it." The man looked shocked before giving out a loud guffaw and exclaiming that this girl was the one to be his new daughter. From that day forward Sophia learned all kinds of things from all kinds of topics such as magic, non-magical nature, science, math, art, history, anything she could name and anything he could share. The day came when Sophia turned 18 and her father agreed to send his brilliant child to a school where she could learn and grow beyond anything that was possible while remaining at home. Sophia promised him that she would learn as much as she could while away to utilize



later when she returned.

Personality: A cunning, critical persona, Ether is always the type to weigh his options before taking any risks. This makes him seem selfish to other but in reality, he's never gotten close enough to someone for him to feel they are worth saving. He is intellectual and thirsts to further advance his knowledge of his own arts. He loves to know things he didn't know before, making him a very curious individual. Needless to say this has gotten in several sticky and bloody situations.


Biography: Ether was born and raised in a small village on the outskirts of the country. A village made up of kind folk who took pride in their healing arts. They healed travelers and offered solace to visitors and immigrants. His parents were one such immigrants but they had decided to stay and make a life for themselves. His parents were foreign doctors that specialized in advanced medical treatment in combination with deep magical attunement. They combined anatomy, physiology, with nature magic and wizardry. Ether's father was a wizard, using his deep understanding of how the physical world works to apply his magic without the need for surgical tools. Doing things that couldn't be conventionally done otherwise. His mother was a nature mage. She was in tune with the spirits of life and healing, using them to mend wounds that couldn't be understood by medicine or wounds to spirit/soul. She could even use this magic to soothe the ailing minds of several patients.


After some time, Ether was born between the medical pairing and it was obvious that their talent was passed on. At the age of 4, Ether developed a fascination with injuries and magic. He wanted to know and understand everything even if it was meaningless to know. His father's thirst for knowledge was clearly passed on through him. From his mother, Ether got her looks. Ruby red eyes, thick raven black hair, and 6th sense that rivaled her own. Ether could feel all of the natural spirits in his immediate vicinity and it was only a matter of time before he learned how to use them. After he turned, 10 his parents had another child. A girl named Gwyn. His parents felt comfortable enough with Ether that they decided they would want another child. Maybe one that wasnt so independant.


Ether became a prodigy that rivaled even the greatest by the time he was 15 but it wasn't until he was 17 that he became the man he is today.


The village he grew up in so happily was ransacked by raiders and the peaceful town was turned ashes overnight. Ether's family was docile and they didnt know any form of offensive or defensive magics. As the bandits approached, Ether did what logic dictated him to do. He ran. Ether grabbed his 7 year old sister and ran as far and hard as he could. The screams of his mother could be heard echoing throughout the forest. His father's wails of agony would haunt him for the rest of his life.


It apparently didn't matter how hard they ran because the siblings eventually came face to face with one of the raiders who was patrolling just in case anyone tried to escape. Here is where Ether Learned that sometimes....it's kill or be killed. There he tapped into a power he never knew he had. Blood magic. It was only moments later until both siblings were dripping in the thick, crimson liquid that was just in their aggressor. Gwyn had also awakened to her inborn magic and found her inner flame. From this moment, Ether and Gwyn dedicated their lives to learning ALL forms of their magic. Both offensive and defensive. Using it to its fullest potential. To this end, Ether came to the Mage College. He hoped to find something he didn't know before. If not for himself then at least for his sister.

Combat style, if any: Ether utilizes his magic to its fullest, shaping weapons out of his blood during combat and freely manipulating his life force. He learned swordplay and became adept at it along with martial arts. He certainly is no expert at it but he understands all the material and uses it in combination with his wizardy to get the results he wants. Personality: Nazgah is a goal-oriented woman that will not accept herself as complete. In her eyes, there is always something further to study, discover or seek understanding of. A slight workaholic, she even turns much of her 'free time' into further pursual of these goals by reading. She does not allow this to get in the way of being open to others, however, as she sees time spent with others as an opportunity to learn more.


Biography:


Nazgah was born to be a warrior. From a very young age, she was trained in the art of combat both with and without weapons of various types. She found the fervor of fighting to be exhilarating, as an outsider may expect of an orc, but she couldn't help but be curious about the magic the three other races wielded. Incidentally, it was during this time of young training that she received her greatest exposure to magic. She had not been born a woman, but it was a faith mage that her parents had called the aid of that led to her physical transition. Her abilities as a fighter were strong, but she held back for lack of comfort. Expressing her concerns and dysphoria with her body, the mage performed a ritual to facilitate her transformation to a more fitting figure.


She since felt the driving need to understand magic after it fixed that gaping issue in her life and letting her live as she truly wished to be, even if she could not use it.


This drive to understand magic led her to become an excellent scholar. With no other orcs bothering with magic in her time enough to pursue its studies, and with mages around her dealing with casting and applying, she had nowhere to go but deeper into the books and records that existed regarding magic. Without the need nor temptation to cast or practice magic, Nazgah grew to become a foremost expert in magical history and theory across all four schools. It was from this that she attained employment as a librarian and record-keeper at The College.


Following the previous headmaster's passing, an Elf who had run the college since near its founding, Nazgah was chosen to take over for her organisation and broad knowledge. She took the mantle with pride at the age of 30, and proved the decision to make her headmaster a strong one. Whilst the College had always had a degree of prestige to it, it was formerly considered to be very centric to elves and was less reknowned as it is today. Nazgah's reforms to policy, clas structures, and racial accomodations truly made the College accessible for all, so long as they had the drive to learn.

In line with most orcs, Nazgah has greened skin, protruding upward canines from the jaw, and an upturned, near piglike nose.


Nazgah's body is a little bit more effemiate by non-orcish standards than other orc women - a side effect of the transformation process which made her body into what it is today. This did not stop her from having solid, developed muscles, maintained by repeated training.


Her face seems to hold a permanent grumble by its natural expression, but her expressive eyes make seeing whether that expression is accurate or otherwise simpler in cases where she does not smile or frown.


Even now, decades on, Nazgah's joy of living, learning, and her body has had her choose to wear clothing often with gaps, openings, or tight fit to show off her physical assets such as waist, chest, or legs in a way that makes a statement that she is, indeed, a woman.

Combat style, if any: Trained in orcish combat at a young age, Nazgah continues to practice those very techniques to this day. She remains proficient in freestyle hand to hand combat as well as the wielding of an axe.
