Fantasy A College For Mages

As you approach the College, you can't help but feel that it's a bit foreboding. You see Orcs standing at the parapets of the tall walls, holding their strange weapons with casual arrogance, ready to shoot anyone disruptive. You wonder why mages need Orc bodyguards, considering they don't have magic...


Your fellow students are a mix of humans and Elves, with only a few Dwarves. You assume, of course, that most Dwarves don't need an interspecies college, due to their comprehensive education on magic from birth. On the walls, there are symbols, representing the four forms of magic. First, there is the Tree of Life, representing Nature magic, surrounded by creatures. Next, there is the great shield, representing the power of Faith. After that is a person, glowing brightly with power, representing Sorcery, the magic you are born with. Finally, there is the Sun, The Moon, and the Stars, representing the three forms of Wizardry: Energy, Entropy, and Force.





This will be a fantasy school RP. The four races are Orcs, Dwarves, Elves, and Humans. I will go into more detail on them if enough people are interested.

Go and see the first simple roleplay named something along the lines of a "Fantasy Highschool" it has over 6,000 replies, all one liners. People aren't going to classes, fucking like rabbits, killing each other, overpowered as hell characters...


Basically it's a bunch of one on ones and no one knows what the hell is happening after about the 3rd page.

Here are some ideas to keep the roleplay in check:


> Watch the characters that are created. Put limits on things and don't bend even if the person is begging and pleading. That means no other races, no magic types over the set limits, etc. Backstories in this setting tend to get mushy and cliché so be wary, especially for the people who make innocent characters that can become hell on earth as soon as they are threatened or brutish characters that hate studying but are at a school for magic for some reason.


> Make people be at the set classes at set times. Put a schedule up in the overview and anyone who doesn't follow the rules, their character will be punished as someone would be in real life for skipping class.


> Be sure to enforce things such as curfews in dorms and such so time skips can be done. If not, you'll either never advance from the first day or loose track of time.


There are most likely more but these are what I can think of right now. ^^

Two would work, and it's always flexible during dialogue. If you need a bit of help writing larger amounts, I'm always here. ^^


Yeah, too many cute anime characters show up of thats done. I can find a decent realistic elf drawing quite easily...(well...not if you count having to sort though slutty drawing after slutty drawing. Female characters are a pain in the ass.)

I am willing to work with any sort of pictures someone wants to use, not exclusively anime nor realistic. So long as it gives me a good mental image of the character, I'm fine with it. A good description works too.

i'd mourn it's loss tbh. though often a concern for these type of school-roleplays is the lack of objective besides each individual character's own personal goal, be it finding true love, getting laid, or being goddamn overpowered all the damn time (yes let me just, throw you into the air and fire 15 skillshots at you at once hm yes buT SURPRISE HE CANT DIe bc its magic high school)
