A Change of Heart

(Lol for now haha I missed my character)

His mouth felt very dry suddenly, and he swallowed thickly. Saying this girl had baggage was a vast understatement. With a shrug, he crossed his arms and glanced at her. "That's... crazy?"

Mei nodded, taking in a shaky breath. She looked over at him, her lips pursed tightly together as she observed his body language, which showed signs of nervousness. She let out a thick sigh and turned her head. "Relax, I am not going to hurt you, unless you tell anyone about my past in which case I will drop you off a building.

(@Tenome Now I have to read back and figure out what they did before this.)

(Same. I'm trying to reread the entire rp)

Izzy gave a tight laugh. "That's definitely the way to reassure someone."

Mei rolled her eyes at his comment, scoffing a bit. "Yeah, whatever. I bet you cant even remember what you did on the night of the party." She mumbled to herself.

He frowned at that last bit, and leaned in to hear her better. "Wait, what's that about the night of the party?" Izzy hoped she wouldn't choose right now to be vague. Clarification with her was unfortunately uncommon.

Mei shook her head, clenching her teeth together as she turned to look at the wall. There wasn't much interesting about the wall, with it's bland beige color, but it was far better than looking into his face, which would only make her heart race. "Whatever. You obviously don't remember so it obviously isn't important to you." She mumbled.

"No, I was shitfaced. I don't really remember anything from that night." He felt a nervous sweat come over him. Had he fcked up? He hoped not. "Seriously, Mei, what happened?"

Mei just shook her head. "Honestly, I am sure you would just hate me if you knew." She said softly, looking at the wall intently. She hated being so secretive sometimes, but she was sure it was just from the alcohol that he had kissed her, nothing more. No matter how much she wanted him to like her, she couldn't believe that it would ever happen.

"Well, you just told me that you're from a gang family. Anything else you could say most likely wouldn't scare me off or make me hate you." He bit his lip. "Please? Tell me?"

Mei heaved a long sigh, looking at him from the corner of her eye for a second before looking back at the wall. "That night, as you brought me up the stairs, you told me we where going to be great, great friends. And then...." Mei said, taking a long pause to catch her breath, feeling her heart hammer in her chest before looking down. "You kissed me."

His eyebrows knit together, now stressed. With a sigh, he glanced away. "Wow, I'm... I'm really sorry, Mei. You couldn't have wanted that. I feel bad about putting you in that position."

Mei shook her head, pursing her lips together. "It's fine, I guess." She lied to him, even though she could feel some heat rising to her face. "Really, I didn't mind it. You passed out shortly after, and let me tell you, you are not the easiest person to carry." She said, hoping that the joke would cover up the fact that in the middle there she had hinted at the fact that she had actually wanted to kiss him.

As he listened, Izzy chewed the inside of his cheek. If Mei hadn't minded the kiss, would she mind if he told her why? Taking a chance, he began to speak. "Oh, yeah, sorry you had to carry me. I'm very buff, and muscles aren't light," he joked weakly. Izzy cleared his throat. "But, if I kissed you that night, it's because I like you."

Mei looked over at Izzy, a small glint of despair in her eyes as she could feel her heart drumming endlessly inside her chest. She pressed her hands together, letting her long black hair cascade over her face to hide her blush as he mentioned liking her. She turned slightly towards him, her cheeks pink. "Really?" She said, blushing a bit more at the small incline in her voice which showed her excitement.

His stomach tightened with nerves, and his foot tapped to release all his pent up energy. The boy gave a short nod. "Yeah. And I won't be offended if you don't like me back. I'd get it."

Mei could feel a slow and soft smile stretch over her face, letting her black hair fall in front of it. "Hmm, really now? How do I know you are telling the truth?" She said lightly, part of her still not believing that he actually liked her. No one had ever liked her like that, she always though she was going to be alone, and all he was to her was a pity party.

Mei gave a long sigh, rolling her eyes as she brushed some of her hair out of the way, her cheeks still rosy from his words. "God you are such a weirdo." She mumbled, before placing a hand on his shoulder and leaning in, closing her eyes and making probably the most gutsy move she had in a long time, and planted a kiss on his lips.

Though surprised, he grinned against her impromptu lips. With his hand, he grasped the side of her face, and thumbed her cheek gently. He kept it short, and pulled away. "So..? Does this mean that you like me back?"

Mei was a little disheartened by the kiss being short, wanting to hold it longer but knowing deep inside it was too soon for that. When he asked her if she liked him back, his response was a snort, and her resting her forehead on his. "Of course you dummy." she mumbled, taking in a few deep breaths as she listened to her heart drum inside her chest.

His heart was a jackhammer against his ribcage, but he smiled through it. It had been a while since he'd felt this excited about a girl."Did you maybe want to go out with me, or are relationships not your speed?"

Mei looked at Izzy for a while, keeping her forehead pressed against his softly. She smiled lightly as he suggested being in a relationship, her cheeks flushing a dark red as she placed her hand gently over his. "Hmm, I would be just fine going out with you. You think your friends will mind?" She asked him lightly.

He shook his head softly with a chuckle. "My friends were okay with Matty and Brad dating. I think they'll be fine with us."

Mei smiled brightly, squeezing his hand softly. "Good." She spoke softly before pulling herself back from him a bit, not wanting to crowd him, or push into anything early. "So, what do we do now?" She asked him, tapping her finger on the hard mattress underneath her.

@Tenome

(I was sleeping man I can't live off roleplaying, unlike you)

Izzy smiled. "Well, if you're feeling better, we should head back to class."
