A Chance For a Second Chance

Murfemra was left standing at the corner with eyes wide in shock. He looked at the microchip and pocketed it not knowing how to use it. He quickly hurried to the catacombs entrance, opened the doors, then hurried in, creating a bit of light from his fingertips for light. Once he had made it down into the catacombs, he slowed his pace, trying to be more quiet. Murfemra knew full well that HE was expecting someone to come. Murfemra only hoped that the being did not suspect him...

Murfemra slowly made his way around the catacombs, looking at all of the names of those left here. He froze as an ancient, evil voice whispered out of the darkness. "You're too late..." Murfemra slowly turned to see the Demon holding the skull of one of the former kings, ceremonial blood stained upon the creature's talons. Upon seeing this, Murfemra's eyes went wide with the fear he wished he did not need to face. "This kingdom is mine...and I won't let a single free soul through my grasp!"<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2013_08/57a8bdf40d771_DesecrationDemon.jpg.2b4f2907741a7f42c8774239769f876a.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="4262" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2013_08/57a8bdf40d771_DesecrationDemon.jpg.2b4f2907741a7f42c8774239769f876a.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

(( Seeing as there's 56 pages I would need to read through [and I'd love to start roleplaying on this as soon as possible], can someone be so kind as to catch me up, please? ; w ; It doesn't have to be too in-depth, just so long as I'd be able to understand the plot so far! If not, then I can go through and read -nod- Thank you!! ))

(everyone keeps bothering Olive because they're all revived from the dead which woke up a demon that Murfemra's confronting :3 oh, and Fai's kidnapping Humans to keep them safe))

(( Oh. Mkay. Well, I'll just start with Laila having been wandering around for a while -nod- She'll just be kinda... Lost lool Let's hope someone finds her. Or she finds her way to someone. ))

Murfemra took the Bluetooth/microchip out of his pocket and fumbled around with it, trying to figure out how it worked. Meanwhile, as the Demon raised the king's skull, chanting in an ancient language, the nearby stone caskets lit on fire, blood starting to drip down from the skull. Outside of the catacombs, red lightning flashed through the sky. It was all too late.

(PFFFFFFFFFFFT! No...maybe ))

She surely hadn't anticipated that. To be honest, after her death, Laila had figured she would go to 'heaven.' That place one of her nannies would constantly be talking about. She didn't think she'd encounter a sign welcoming her to a place called 'Limbo,' nor did she expect shards of glass to become imbedded in her flesh (and those were a real pain to get out), she did not expect to fall into water. Again. Laila knew that she was dead. She had to have been, after all, but the voices that boomed had only further proven that to her.

In retrospect, the girl wished she would have remained with the group of others. Instead, she had quickly run out of the water and off into who-knows-where, getting lost quite easily. And, to be honest, her sense of direction wasn't the greatest either. She would think that in the after life the world could be so kind as to grant her that much, but no. She was the same old Laila.

As she wandered, she had come across beautiful areas, although some had scared her, if she was to be honest. Not once did she remove the red scarf, which had taken up a near permanent residence around her neck. It's texture was soft, the fabric meant to keep warm, and she couldn't be happier with it. Granted, she was rather confused - especially on how to 'prove herself' - but she was happy. Laila was always happy.

Looking to the sky, blue irises flickered with slight worry as she took note of the lightning. Not just any lightning, either; lighting that was red in color. Now, she might not have been a science whiz, but the girl knew that something just wasn't right.

(( Sorry if this was, like, tooootally wrong, but I tried! I'll edit it if you just let me know uwu ))

Murfemra had failed to do his part. By the time he looked back up at the demon, he had completed the ritual. "Now all shall bow down to me and the endless ranks of the dead!" Suddenly, all of the stone caskets exploded into flames, skeletons rising out of their places. Murfemra had no choice but to retreat, a feeling of guilt welding up in his stomach. Outside the catacombs, the red lightning struck certain spots on the ground. From these points, more undead rose.

((MURFEMRA YOU FAILURE!! lol jk))

Fai shivered as he lifted another human wearing a scarf into the truck. The dragon stared in horror at the sight. The sky was turning red. Blood red. Jumping into the driver's seat, Fai hit the gas pedal and drove into the city, avoiding the undead as he spotted a familiar looking figure. "Murfemra! Get in!" Fai slowed down a bit as he passed by Murfemra, letting him jump onto the back as the dragon drove through the town, getting as far and possible from the doomed place.

Although her life had always been full of surprises, Laila was able to say that she had never been lifted up and thrown into a truck by a stranger. Well, not before then, at least. Rubbing her head slightly to ease the minor headache coming on - mainly from the events taking place - she cringed slightly. Now, she was usually a very friendly girl, and although she wasn't sure if the stranger had a completely logical reason for practically kidnapping her, she was a bit angry. Simultaneously, she felt a bit grateful. At least she wouldn't have been alone anymore, after all, and that was something she loathed.

Taking note of the other that had also entered the vehicle, it would have been a lie to say Laila didn't want to speak with him. Or anyone, really; but she would keep that much to herself. Wait to be spoken to first, perhaps. Unless people took too long to speak to her, then she'd make herself known for sure. That was something the girl could have been quite good at, if she tried.

Arian sat on the roof of the manor she recently found. Flicking her cigarette ashes into the chimney nearby. Her curiosity was quickly taking over her mind and she stared down into the long brick pipe. "Hello?" she called loudly, hoping someone would hear. The smell of rust started to fill her sinuses and she put a hand to her own nose. Pulling away, her eight eyes spotted the reddish brown blood staining her skin. "Shit.." Arian muttered, sighing.

Xavier felt the electricity shoot up his body and gritted his teeth. 'What the hell?' He fell to the floor and felt himself being picked up. 'Fai?' He was barely conscious, unlike the man next o him, who was completely incapacitated. 'What's he doing? I thought he and I were friends. I guess not.' Friends didn't exactly shock you with a stun gun without warning. 'I shouldn't have let my guard down.'

Xavier felt every bump, as the car drove. 'I can move now. They haven't noticed yet.' He had been able to move for awhile now, but he had to stay still. 'I put my trust into him too easily. It was a mistake.' He had been attacked after finding one person he could trust. 'I'm a damn fool.'

After driving for awhile longer, Xavier was able to recognize a pattern. He had been planning to escape, but he needed to make sure Fai wasn't looking. It seemed like the perfect time to escape, was on his way back to the driver's seat. As soon as Fai made his walk towards the front of the car, Xavier slid out and went into cover. He watched as the vehicle drove away an began walking away in a random direction. The stun was still effecting him, so his face soon met with the ground. He slowly got up and kept walking, his new limp evident.

'What the hell is this.' Xavier stared wide eyed at the mass of creatures in front of him. The sky had turned red and things that looked like zombies from the old movies he could remember. 'Damn. I need to find a place to hide.' Xavier made his way into safety as fast as possible. However, he was barely making any progress with his limp.' As he walked, he felt something grab his leg. He fell on the floor and turned to see one of those creatures attempting to gnaw at his ankle. He began kicking at the thing with his good leg furiously. 'Why won't it let go?!' The creature was persistent and didn't seem keen on giving up a prospective meal. 'What do I do now?!' Xavier searched his coat frantically and pulled out the knife he had taken from the restaurant. As the thing lunged at him, he drove the knife into its skull, causing it to fall to the ground. Xavier immediately climbed onto the thing and began stabbing its head over and over, blood splattering all over him. 'I will not die!' He needed to make sure this thing was dead, so he just kept stabbing.

Xavier sat near the body and pulled the knife out from its head. He wiped the silverware on his coat and held it in his hand. 'It looks like everything I do can mean life or death.' If he hadn't taken the knife, he would've been a snack for some hell spawn right now. He stood up slowly and continued to walk, the creatures blood dripping from his body. 'I can't trust anyone, not anymore. If I want to survive, I need to go alone.' The minute he let down his defenses around somebody, they knocked him out and stuffed him in the back of a truck. His grip around the knife tightened. 'Don't trust anybody, don't team up with anybody, don't interact with anybody.' This moment would be the start of his own way of survival.

Arian, tired of waiting for a response, jumped down the chimney howling "Wooooohoooo!". She landed with a thud on the floor and she cursed under her breath. "Anyone home?" she called to the emptiness. After getting up and wiping the ashes off of her pants, she walked around, boots clicking under the cool marble floor of the mansion. She touches the walls and stares at the paintings on them, thinking to herself.
