A Chance For a Second Chance

Fai nodded, not say a word. Leaning against the door, Fai waited impatiently for the next question. Tapping his feet, Fai began to whistle a merry tune that sounded like the theme song from Jeopardy.

Eruna ran the rest of the way, remembering where Olive lived only after a few visits.

She finally reached the house and knocked on the door loudly. "Eruna... is repaying.. offer!" Eruna panted getting the deck of cards out of her pocket while waiting for some one to answer the door

Fai glanced over to a pink haired woman at the door step. "Olive's busy at the moment." Fai quickly said knowing that the crazy woman was probably drinking a whole ton of tea right now. "But, if it's an emergency, her office is just up the stairs and around the corner to the right." Fai stated the memorized words, recalling the many times he had to play Ollive's secretary.

As the waitress left Enzo teturned his attention and eyes on Annie aka and forever known in his mind as...hat girl.

"I am not from this place no...I am from the real world, outside this not so bad mimicry." He answered her without fail before making a hand motion towards her, "And you?" She seemed 'normal' but that hat could be hiding something....his eyes now eyed it suspiuosly.

Fai turned back to Hunter and grinned cheekily. "Secret." Fai laughed, knowing that Xavier was still inside the manor, probably wondering where he was right now.

'That was...interesting...' Xavier had just focused on his meal the entire time and ignored the situation. Raphael seemed like he could handle himself and he did. Although, Xavier did feel a tad uncomfortable with what whas going on. He finished his meal and made sure there wasn't a bite left. Not finishing your meal was rude, especially when someone went through the trouble of making it. She may have been too straightforward with her…desires, but she was a good cook. As he thought about the situation, an idea popped into his head.

Xavier made his way in the direction Olive went. 'Maybe she knows more than Fai.' It was definitely a possibility and he couldn't pass up the chance to ask. Knowledge was everything in situations like these. Xavier heard a few noises in a nearby office and walked towards the door. He knocked on the door and waited for an answer. 'I hope she knows something.'

"What do you want?" Olive groaned when she heard someone knock on her door. "If it's Fai, no, I will not play tag with you!" Olive recalled the many times Fai had bothered her to play tag with him. Setting her pan down, Olive leaned back in her chair and waited for the person to come in, secretly holding a very sharp butcher knife in her hands.

Eruna shook her head, realizing she had spaced out. "Eruna needs to give this to Olive! But Eruna will not let anyone else touch it! Eruna thinks that repaying others, must do as an emergency of sorts! Let Olive talk to Eruna! Olive is Eruna's friend!" Eruna glared at Fai, but the boy had walked away, and she fell to her knees in defeat. "Eruna has failed," She groaned staring at the ground.

"I am from the real world as well, but what if this is the real world? What if Earth is the fake one and this one is the real one?" Annie wondered out loud. Then she laughed at herself shaking her head, "Ah, I probably sound crazy. Excuse me."

Xavier walked in and shut the door quietly. He pulled out his board an began writting. "I apologize for the intrusion, but I was wondering if you could help me? I'll leave if you want." As much as he wanted information, he didn't want to bother somebody. She looked busy with paperwork or something. 'Nothing looks out of the ordinary. She seems to be a normal enough pers- is that a butcher knife?' He didn't see any meat in here, so that probably wasn't a good sign.

Olive set the knife down on the table when she saw it was just one of Fai's friend. "Well? What do you want? I don't have all day, you know." Olive began tapping her fingers against the table, impatiently waiting for the mute man to write down his question on the board. Olive groaned as she picked up her pen again and began filling out a few papers.

'I think I caught her at a bad time. She probably isn't in the best mood after being rejected.' "I just had a few questions about this world I'm in. I'm not from here, I was sent to a place called Limbo after I died. After Limbo, I was sent to Iskelan. After avoiding an angry Phoenix, I met Fai. After a meal and a small fight, he brought me here." Mentioning the meeting with Raphael probably wasn't he best thing to do, so he would leave that part out.

Olive stared at the man in disbelief. "If you're here because Fai dared you to say that to me, get out right now." Olive reached for the butcher knife with a dangerous glint in her eyes. If this man was just here to waste her time, Olive didn't want any part of it.

Xavier walked forward and looked her in the face. His blue eye showed nothing but seriousness. His face had a stern expression, showing he wasn't lying. He couldn't blame her for reacting the way she did. Any normal person would question what he just told her. He pulled up the board once again. "I'm not lying."

Enzo was still eyeing her hat pretty hardcore there was a growing itch in his fingers, to snatch it off her head....what was under it? Enzo tried to think back, she had rammed into him it had fallen off, but he had been more focused on not ending up on his can like she had to fuly take a look at her head.

As she spoke though his attention gravitated from her hat to her words. Was this the real earth? He wrinkled up his forehead in pondering before speaking their drinks coming onto the table as he did so,

"You do sound a bit loopy, but its probbaly from lack of food." he took up his tea sipping it, "Although if this was the real world it would make sense why I was included, but it can't be...because I don't have any money here, and there are a bunch of other crazy people here, atleast your normal, enough." Enzo nodded at his conclusion that this could not the earth because there was no world without money....in his book. He did not no wether to pout about that or give a slightly smile that he was in the compamy of some normalcy.Unable to figure out the best emtion to go with, which inturn fustrated him, Enzo stettled for a thin lined expression and sipped more of his tea.

Annie noticed him looking at her hat, and began to grow self conscious. "S-sorry," she stumbled taking a big gulp of water and almost choking on an ice cube because of carelessness. Her face was bright red from embarrassment after a single cough and another large sip of water.

"I'm kinda into physics..." She explained, " The people around me in the other world often made fun of me for it. That and the fact that I believe in childish things, like anything can happen and parallel universes and Santa Clause even though I caught my parents one year. Also, I was just lucky to die with 50 bucks in my pocket, which is why I have money.."

((Oh god...physics... *shudders*))

Olive stared at the man. "Prove it." Olive leaned back into her chair and waited for the man to do something to prove that he had died, maybe he had something, maybe he could do something. Olive didn't just trust anyone, it took a lot for Fai to be able to live in her home.

"Very well." 'What am I supposed to do? Grab some shackles and act like a cliché ghost?' His eyes trailed over to her knife. 'I hope this works.' He quickly grabbed the knife and stabbed himself where his heart would be. He didn't die, but he could definitely feel pain now. 'Now I see why this is a crime. This hurts!' He left the knife in his chest and awaited her response. 'I will not shoot myself in the head. I still remember zombie films.'

Olive shot up from her seat. "Oh my god!" She rushed over to the mute man and watched in horror as the blood spilt out from his chest. "What the hell is wrong with you?!" Olive made the man pull the knife out of his chest and began applying pressure to the very deep wound.

After finally getting back into his forest, Raphael sighed then sat under his favorite tree. He didn't know what to do now. Nobody was around, not that anyone other than him ever was out here anyway. Still, he greatly wished someone could be out there with him. Anyone really...well, no, not anyone. He already had one bad encounter today, he didn't want another. Nonetheless, he still wished he had someone out here to be with.

Murfemra stared at the sun in the sky. The sun never really hurt his eyes. Then again, not much in his life did hurt. Or at least...few things out there hurt him physically. He remembered the shadow that was with him that one day. It wasn't a mystery who it was, he knew it all along. But still...they were but children then, so why would it unfold so...perfectly...? Few things in life were ever perfect, so why was that moment perfect? What was it about that day...?

Xavier quickly scooted back when the woman touched him. He began to look flushed. 'Why did I react that way? Do I have a fear of women or something?' It was definitely a possibility. Although, a fear of women couldn't be it. He had helped Lena earlier and wasn't scared. Maybe it was just with physical contact. 'Must be because of something I can't remember.' After calming down, Xavier grabbed the board. "I'm fine. Do you believe me now? A normal person would've died from that."

Olive stood back from the man and nodded. "Alright, I believe you. But, I won't answer any of your questions if you keep bleeding like that!" Olive shrieked as she threw Xavier some bandages and pointed to the wash room. "Please bandage yourself up. I don't like the sight of blood." Olive shuddered as she sat back in her chair.

Xavier gave a grateful bow and went to the wash room. He removed his coat and shirt and took a look at the wound. 'It's not too deep. She probably just overreacted.' He began to bandage the wound and leaned over the sink when finished. He began splashing cold water into his face. 'Was that a hallucination from the blood loss?' When Olive had touched him, he had a brief vision. It was like the one he had when he first got here. He couldn't make out a face, but he saw a figure that was shorter. He was sure it was a girl, but he didn't know why he saw what he did. He kept splashing the water in his face, until he was sure he was awake enough. 'I'll try not to dwell on it. It was probably nothing.' He put his shirt and coat back on and went back into the office.

Murfemra got off of the bench then continued walking, wondering what he should do now. He did tend to spend his days wondering what to do, and today was no different. As such, he kinda just walked on and on, not paying attention on where he was going, yet somehow he didn't bump into anything either. It was a strange thing...as though he walked in a trance.
