A band and a fan

(Indie is pretty ;u; )

Lucas shot up the moment the touring van came to a stop, earning him a glare from Vince, the lead guitarist. "Calm down, Luke, it's just another boring ol' town.", the guy muttered grumpily. Lucas shook his head, rolling his eyes. In his opinion, the travelling was the worst part of touring. Sure, you got to see new land, and you had time to focus on writing, but really, being cramped up in a van with four other sweaty guys? Not so ideal. He jumped out of the van, even before Michael, the drummer, had parked it. "Stay close, Lucas, Mr. Collins is going to arrive shortly!", Michael called after him. "Yeah, yeah, I'm not going anywhere. Just stretching my legs.", Lucas called back. Their manager, Mr. Collins, was a good guy, if you liked order and to have everything neatly arranged just as much as he did. Even so, the man was nice, and he arranged everything for the band.

Just five minutes later, a black Volvo drove up the parking lot where the van was parked. Mr. Collins got out, tugging at his tie. "Well, boys, this here,", he said with a nod at the hotel behind him, "will be where you'll be sleeping for the next week." Lucas whistled from in between his teeth. "Sweet.", he commented. "C'mon, pick up your stuff, let's get going. You can get settled for now, it's quite late already. We'll be having dinner in a small restaurant in town in exactly an hour.", Mr. Collins said, tapping his watch. Jonathan bumped Lucas' side, nodding at the bus. "Let's go, slowpoke!", the guy teased. Lucas chuckled and followed him, picking up his backpack and his guitar as Jonathan grabbed his bass before they headed inside.

Indie sighed as she sat at the front desk, tapping her pen against the marble as she waited for something to happen. Anything. Today had been the slowest day in months, but that was probably due to the fact that the season was coming to an end. There were only locals and people in town for business staying in the hotel now, no families or anything like that. Her boss had told her that some big clients were arriving today and she had to make sure that they were well looked after and if they needed anything, anything at all then they had to report to her. A few minutes later she heard laughing coming from the front doors of the hotel and she sighed. Great. Another group of noisy men who will annoy the hell out of her while they stay. Indie turned her attention back the computer screen and glanced at the names of the guests that were to arrive that day. There were some incredibly strange name. It made her think that some guests wanted to hide the fact that they were staying there. She didn't understand why.

Forgot to say are we doing it that she is a fan or she isn't?

(It's your decision entirely! c: )

Mr. Collins was the first to walk inside the hotel, walking straight to the front desk. Lucas and Jonathan were right behind him, curious as to what names their manager would have came up with now. The man would come up with the strangest names, as if he only wanted to make the employees of the hotel more suspicious. Lucas pursed his lips, trying not to laugh as he heard Mr. Collins talk to the girl behind the desk. "Yes, I made a reservation for one room for five and one room for one. It's on the name of Collins. These are my nephews.", he said, nodding at the guys behind him.

Lucas chuckled softly. Sure, five nephews, who brought a full performing set with them. While they were standing there, Michael and Dean were casually carrying Michael's drums inside, clearly not knowing where to put them. Mr. Collins turned around, a scowl on his face. "Michael, there's a rehearsal room somewhere here, get someone to show you where it is!", he hissed. Michael shot him a sheepish smile and nodded, running off to find a clerk.

Indie gave a friendly smile to the man who came to the desk ''Nice to meet you Mr Collins. I'm Indie and my boss has told me that if you and your er,'' she paused, glancing at the guys, finding it a little strange that they had a lot of equipment for a hotel stay with their uncle ''Nephews need anything at all while you are staying with us then you contact me directly. The details to contact my work number and in both of your rooms. The room for five is room 180 and the room for one is 120. Do you need some help finding your rooms and getting your luggage up there?'' she asked, as she opened a draw on the desk and pulled out six keys. one for each of the guys staying in the room for five and one for the person staying in the room for one. Indie grabbed the phone and called for some help with their stuff ''If you guys want to take a seat, I've just called for some help with your stuff.'' she said as she handed over the keys ''I think that's everything. if you need anymore help, you know where I am.'' she said as she gave a friendly smile, not really taking any notice of the guys stood behind Mr Collins. She peeked behind and frowned, realising that these guys looked familiar, like they could be in a band or something like that. As she looked closer she realised who they were and she couldn't help but scowl. She hated these guys. Her sister was in love with them and went on, and on and on about them and it just got on her nerves. It made her even angrier that her boss, who happened to be her best friend, had made her look after these guys when he knew that she couldn't stand them. This was going to be a very interesting week.

Ok, she doesn't like them :)

"Oh, yes, why thank you, that'd be great. Thanks, India.", Mr. Collins, who couldn't be bothered with people's names, said. He turned around and told the guys to take a seat as their luggage was taken up to their rooms, and handed their keys out. Lucas, who'd seen the girl behind the front desk scowl when she saw them, raised an eyebrow, but kept his comments to himself. He grabbed Michael's key as well as his own, plopping himself down on one of the couches in the lobby. He'd put his backpack on the cart for the clerk, but kept his guitar case with him, in fear of someone damaging his instrument. He put the case down next to his chair, shooting a grin at Dean, who got the chair next to him. "And so the waiting begins...", he hummed, looking around the lobby, which was empty except for them and the hotel employees. He was glad they weren't here in the high season, it was very hard to stay focused on your songs when there was a crowd of teenage girls yelling outside the hotel. Plus, they only had their first concert tomorrow, so they had a little time to relax today.

Indie bit her lip and shook her head when he said her name wrong and walked off as if she was scum. People like him irritated her but sadly, she was use to being treated like that because a lot of people spent their time in the hotel thought they were better than everyone else. She groaned a little when the guy on the phone said that he couldn't come down to help with the bags, there had been an emergency in the kitchen and everyone in the kitchen and anyone who was around had to help fix it so the restaurant worked as usual. ''I've just spoken to the guy who would usually help you with your luggage and he can't help as there has been an emergency in the kitchen so I will have to help you the best that I can.'' she said as she stepped around the desk. She was wearing a black pencil skirt that stopped just above her knees and showed off just how flat her stomach was. She was wearing a white blouse that was tucked into the skirt and a pair of wedge heels. Her hair was down and framed her shoulders and face and she had no make up on at all. She walked so she was stood next to the guys and the bags ''Right there is seven of us so we are going to have to split up. ''If five of you go in one lift and one of you comes with me in the staff lift along with your luggage we should be able to manage as long as those of you who go in the other lift come to help with the bags once you get to your floor.'' she said as she bit her lip and grabbed a few bags. (I was thinking her and Lucas could get stuck together maybe?)

Just as Indie was done explaining her plan, Michael came running into the lobby again. "There was this sick accident in the kitchen apparently. Everything's on fire and people are dying, apparently. Anyway, we don't have someone to help with the luggage.", he said with a grin. Lucas rolled his eyes, a grin on his face as he nodded at Indie. "We do." He picked up his backpack and guitar case and shot the girl a smile. "I'll go with you, then.", he hummed.

Mr. Collins turned a little red, hearing not everything was going to go as planned. "But- But we-", he started, before being cut off by Michael. "C'mon, Mr. C, let's get going. We don't want to be late for dinner, now do we?", he asked with a grin, picking up his bags and heading for the elevator, soon being followed by Vince, Dean, Jonathan and Mr. Collins.

Lucas walked up to the staff elevator, eyeing it curiously when he got in. He put his guitar case down, leaning back against the wall. "Which floor was it again?", he asked Indie, his hand hovering in front of the board.

Indie sighed and shook her head as she heard the dramatic remarks of the guy who had run off to find a rehearsal room. ''If people were dying and things were on fire we would have too evacuate the hotel. And that obviously isn't happening.'' she said as she walked over to the lift. She placed the bags she had in her hand down on the floor and reached into the small pocket on the front of her skirt and pulled out her staff card ''Let me do it, i need to scan my card and add the staff code in and obviously you can't do that.'' she said as she selected the sixth floor where the rooms were, scanned her car and then entered the code. ''Sorry about this by the way. Typical that this happens when we actually have some customers come in.'' she said quietly before she turned away from him and leaned against the wall, wishing the lift would hurry up and reach the sixth floor. She didn't want to be in a lift with any of them. She didn't like their music and least of all she didn't like their attitudes. From what she had heard they could be pretty horrible and she didn't like wasting her time on people like that.

"He's kidding, pretty girl. Relax.", Lucas hummed, pulling his hand back and letting her do whatever she had to to get the elevator working. "It's okay, we've had way worse.", he added, grinning at the memories. He hummed a tune softly, tapping his foot to the rhythm he created. He looked up after a moment, glancing over at the elevator board. "Say, we're going terribly slow, are we?", he asked, pursing his lips. "I'm sorry if it's common, I'm not too experienced with staff elevators."

Indie bit her lip when he called her pretty girl. She didn't know if she should be mad or flattered. This guy didn't seem as bad as the others but he could be and she wasn't taking any chances. Indie sighed, why did this elevator seem like it was going super slow? usually it was faster than the other one because the staff had to be in lots of different places in short amounts of time. ''It is going slower than usual. I have no idea why, this one is usually faster than the other one because we have to get around pretty quick.'' she said as she sighed ''Do you think we are getting even slower?'' she asked, running a hand through her hair ''Great. great, great, great.'

Lucas shrugged, leaning forward to look at the elevator board, just as it came to a complete stop, making him stumble slightly. He quickly caught himself, eyes widened as he looked up at Indie. "What do we do now?", he asked, a light frown on his face. He looked up to see if there was a way to get out of this elevator, only seeing a tiny roster, through which they certainly couldn't get out. "Do we call someone?", he asked, patting his pockets for his phone, then remembering he'd left it in their touring van. He cursed softly, raking a hand through his hair nervously.

Indie was pissed off. The people that usually anyone who got stuck would have to call is her but she obviously wasn't there "er well we would have to call the reception desk and there is no one there because I'm here helping you. Fuck." She said as she ran a hand through her hair. She unlocked a little compartment underneath the elevator board and grabbed the phone and and pressed call, it only called reception but if she called enough hopefully someone would pick up "Hopefully if I ring enough we can get someone's attention. Or we could try my mobile." She said as she grabbed her phone from the back pocket of her skirt "If you remember anyone's numbers ring them on my phone, I'll keep trying this." She said and kept pressing call.

Lucas pursed his lips, taking the phone from her. "Right.", he muttered, staring at the dialing pad. "I probably shouldn't call my mam..." He huffed softly, biting his lip as he thought. "Oh, wait-" He quickly typed in a number, hearing the phone beep against his ear. He groaned when it took a while, glancing at Indie. "He's probably not picking up because it's an unknown number. Band policy.", Lucas explained, hanging up and trying another number. He stretched a bit as he waited, suddenly shooting up when someone picked up. "Jonathan, this is Lucas-", he started. "This girl from the front desk- What's your name, actually?", he asked, turning towards her, then shaking his head. "Anyway, we're stuck in the elevator. Go get someone to free up, please."

Indie put the elevator phone away and locked the little cabinet before she took a seat on the ground, glad that Lucas had managed to get some help. The quicker she could get out of there the better. Plus, she really needs the money and if she didn't get the money because she didn't do all of her shift then it looked like she wasn't going to be eating for a week. "My name is indie. And not India like your stupid boss said." She said as she sighed. She tapped her heels against the other side of the lift and looked around out of boredom. "Tell them to hurry up, I need to finish my bloody shift!" She shouted before he had finished on the phone. She had a feeling that the best however long they were stuck in here was going to be very, very awkward.

Lucas nodded his head at the girl, muttering a bye to his mate before hanging up the phone. "Indie, then? I'm Lucas.", he said, holding out his hand for her to shake, leaning down a bit. "Though my manag- uncle may say otherwise." He shrugged, grinning as he thought of all the names their manager had came up with before.

(I'm so sorry, I replied to this and then my laptop crashed so apparently it didn't send and now I have this really sucky reply ew)
