~Hawk, late to the Pokemon adventure, grew up in a family that shunned anything to do with Pokemon, mainly from his Grandfather who had one bad mix up with Pokemon and never cared for them. Unlike his family, Hawk was mesmerized by the idea behind them. He attended, in secret, Pokemon school, with the help of Professor Dunnigan, who kept it a secret from his family because the Prof. Loved Pokemon as well.

Hawk was given Pidgey by Prof. Dunnigan as a gift, along with his own Pokedex and basic supplies to get him going on his journey. He was shunned by his family for his choice to pursuing Pokemon and wanted to prove they are not what his Grandfather made them all out to believe. Pidgey, his new long life friend, he had grown close to a year before departing on his adventure, so adding him to his quest was easy. "I believe I should give you a name now that we're partners, but what to call you..." He brought his hand upon the base of his chin and clutched the bone in his palm as he pondered. His eyes slowly drifted up to the sky, and within seconds he made his choice." Sky! I shall name you, Sky, because one day you'll soar the skies like every other flying Pokemon." Pidgey chirped from what seemed to be a happy sound after his Hawk had named him. "Sky, you and I, we will do this, we will grow stronger, together, over come every obstacle possible. What do you say buddy?" Hawks features would light up with joy, Sky, his newly named bird friend, chirped even louder and stretched out his wings what little distance they could muster.

"Sky, it seems making it to Saffron city is out of reach, those guys in black, with the R on their chests blocked the road, probably best to steer clear of them, Prof. Dunnigan did warn me about them." Hawk would shrug as Sky remained quiet, firmly clasped to Hawks shoulder." I think we need to make you stronger, probably try and do some battles with other wild pokemon, maybe we'll find a trainer?" Sky would rotate his dome towards Hawk and hum lightly at his statement." You think so too huh?" Hawk would scoff as he headed down route 11. Hawk would pull out his map of Kanto,"So, looks like we need to go through Lavender town, small place between the mountains, maybe that'll allow us to get through to Saffron City." Hawk suggested before putting away his map and trudging down the path coming closer to the mountains.

Passing through some tree infested area, Hawk would come across a vine like Pokemon all alone."Shh...Sky, what type of Pokemon you think that is?" Sky beamed his occulars at the wild Pokemon, locking vision as he waited patiently for the next course of action. Hawk quickly ripped out his Pokedex and held it towards the Pokemon. "Bellsprout, a grass type Pokemon, Bellsprout's thin and flexible body lets it bend and sway to avoid any attack, however strong it may be. From its mouth, this Pokémon spits a corrosive fluid that melts even iron." Hawks eyes opened wider." Whoa, sounds a tad bit dangerous, I think we should attempt to catch it eh?" He looked at Sky who was homed in on this Pokemon."Prof. Dunnigan had informed me about battling Pokemon, we must first weaken him before trying to catch it. Alright Sky, use Tackle!" Hawk would give what looked to be a heroic pose with his arm extended out, pointing at the wild Pokemon as Sky would listen obediently and leap off his shoulder, gliding to the ground, then running with a furious pace and dive into the unsuspecting Bellsprout, bashing his beak into it's thin body and forcing it to the ground." Wow, Sky, good job! Here we go!" Hawk quickly rummaged through his pack and yanked out a Pokeball, pressing the button on the center as instructed by Prof. Dunnigan, and then pitches it at the Bellsprout laying seemingly unconscious on the ground. The ball struck the Pokemon and flew up in the air for a moment, then a beam of red light would zap Bellsprout and it's body would disappear into the ball before bouncing to the ground and rolling around for several seconds before making a chime and light flash."I got it Sky! You just made a new friend by drilling him with your beak!" Hawk would laugh as he jogged over to the ball and picked it up."Awesome." Sky would run quickly up to Hawks leg, partially losing balance as Hawk glanced down at him." Oh buddy, are you okay? Little dizzy huh?" Hawk would put the Pokeball on his belt and lift Sky back up, carrying him for awhile." Good work my friend, many more to come." Sky would dart his beak at Hawk staring at him with shock as if this wasn't enough." Don't worry, lesson learned, you beat your first Pokemon with one hit, be proud buddy."

Still excited about catching his Pokemon, Hawk didn't even notice the sun was beginning to set, darkness was falling upon him, he needed to get to Lavender town quickly before the path became to difficult to tread upon." Oh, crap! C'mon Sky, we need to hurry up!" Sky would jump to his shoulder, seeming to be back to normal, pinch his shoulder with his little talons as Hawk took off in a run. Hawk would make out lights in the distance, it must've been Lavender coming up, but as he got closer, off in the distance he could hear a woman yelling." What's going on?" Curiosity peaked Hawk as he headed in the direction of the sounds and pushed through the bush into the open where he could make out a girl by the sound of her voice. She wasn't alone, she kept yelling out the name "Venonat!" In a shrill as if it was going to get hurt, glancing around he saw a fuzzy looking bug type Pokemon with purple fur and large red eyes." What the heck is that?" Then before making it out, a ball of what looked to be dark flame was floating around the Pokemon as if attacking it while what seemed to be laughter. It seemed as if she was having trouble fighting this Pokemon, maybe he could help her out.~

Awaken....
It's Awakening....
Stop it...
Lu-...

Light shines through the covered windows of a small home, located in Lavender Town. The blackened shades seem to do little protection against such a fierce enemy such as the sun. Outstretch, a young woman rolls over on the unorganized bed, slowly opening her eyes to a Venonat that has been waiting patiently for her to awaken. It's big, ruby colored eyes stared down to her metaphorical soul. She lets out an exhausted, grunt as she pulls over a forest green colored blanket over her head curling up beneath it. The Venonat grew excited over its partners first sign of life in over ten hours. Taking the liberty to jump onto the bed with her, it would take its small hands and attempt to scratch at the blanket that was hiding the woman. After a few attempts, the Venonat rolled off beside her giving out a disappointed signal.
"Alright, you win. But you really have to stop staring at me while I am sleeping. It's getting weird."
She flung the blanket off onto the wooden floor, pulled Venonat into her arms, and rolled off the bed onto her feet. Setting Venonat down careful, she stretched out her arms and twisted her back following her afternoon routine of stretching after a nice night sleep. If only her nights were really that nice. Walking off into the next room with her small, violet friend following right behind her, Namoko begun getting ready for the evening washing and dressing. Venonat would patiently wait outside the bathroom door while Namoko showered, and as she walked out draped in towels, puddles of water would follow where she walked. She stared into the mirror in her bedroom, staring at the miserable, azure glances the woman in the mirror gave back. Bright, burgundy locks would fall past her shoulder soaked in water. If Namoko had to play a guessing game with herself, she would say she looked like a banshee. She quietly chuckled to herself.
An hour would pass before Namoko would officially be ready to leave her home, and she barely ate especially on nights like these. Tonight was the night that the rumored Marowak appears, the one with a dark body and ghostly flames accompanied it's favored weapon. There has been multiple rumors of the same pokemon, all with a similar story, but this one, no seemed to get it straight the first time. One has told Namoko it was a jet black, while another has told her it was the color of poisoned violet. Either way, it must be found and put to rest.

Lavender Town is a rather quiet place, however it comes with many stories and has become a tourist attraction to Psychics and 'ghost hunters' or so they call themselves. Anyone who was smart enough would know better than to come to Lavender town and move on to the next one. Trees sways eerily as Namoko and Venonat made their way around town making their usual stops leaving a small prayer to each statue that decorated the town itself. Some were of the rumored Marowak, others where of some unknown pokemon from the past. Venonat would release a scent from it's body at each one that was rather sweet and move on. Venonat seemed to enjoy their time visiting the statues as Namoko, not so much. She always carried the same blank look as if she was never really there. After speaking with some of the townsfolk who mentioned about the previous rumor, they walked out towards one of the routes to see if they could see anything. Namoko decided it would be best to go to the tower and look, but it was important to seem considerate of peoples concern. Upon reach some tall grass, Venonat leaped around to play for a moment as her partner slowly followed. Venonat was very different from Namoko, but Namoko still enjoyed watching Venonat and spending time with her pokemon especially since they been by each other side for a long time. Namoko looked down at her black, leather jacket that was just shy from her waistline, and bell blue jeans. She probably could have found a better outfit but who was judging? Distracted from her own thoughts, she heard a screech coming from the grass as Venonat jumped out towards her. "Huh?" There a Ghastly quickly followed her partner out.

"Let's do this Venonat. Ghastly's are children play." She said with a smile.

Battles were something Namoko enjoyed the most that was not priest work, though she could definitely multi-task given the situation. However tonight, the Ghastly seemed more active then usual. It seemed it had energy that it would not have otherwise, something wasn't right. It just was too fast! It's hazy, violet aura spun around Venonat continuously laughing. "Venonat!"
It tried to keep up with the Ghastly but it was just unusually too fast. Thankfully, it's attacks were next to nothing. Namoko was so focused trying to keep up with the ghost that she almost ignored the unfamiliar presence near by. Taking a quick glance pack she saw a young boy standing there with a Pidgey perched on his shoulder.

"What, another travelling idiot?"
She muttered to herself as she went back to focusing on the battle.
"Venonat, lock onto it with Foresight then use Psybeam."
Namoko crossed her arms, she knew Venonats Psybeam would do little damage but it's other attack would do even less. Taking a deep breath, she reached down to her belt and lifted a metallic plate off that was in the shape of an oval of sorts. It's odd designs proved for more unusual than those priest usually carry and had multiple eyes lined down on mask with a red iris. Namoko placed it on here face and it clung with ease. Dodomeki, give me sight....

~As Hawk would emerge, he caught the glimpse of the girl staring at her with a cruel expression, he sighed thinking to himself this one seems to be trouble. But when he peered around, he noticed the two Pokemon in front of her doing battle."Sky it looks like that girl is having problems with that ghostly Pokemon." Hearing her call out to her Pokemon named Venonat, it used a move he's never seen before, a beam of energy would fly out of her little purple Pokemon and miss as the Pokemon continues to duck and weave laughing at the poor purple creature attempting to subdue it."C'mon Sky, lets help her out!" Sky would leap off his shoulders and flap around Hawk."Alright buddy, use tackle!" Sky would caw out as it flew at swift speeds at the incorporeal creature, Sky would smash his beak with full body weight into it shoving it off and away from Venonat and causing it to silence it's laughter as it's gesture turned unpleasant.

Hawk would jog up to the girl."Hey, Sky will help you out." He turned and flipped out his Pokedex as he pointed it at the ghost like creature." Gastly, a Ghost type Pokemon.
Gastly is largely composed of gaseous matter. When exposed to a strong wind, the gaseous body quickly dwindles away. Groups of this Pokémon cluster under the eaves of houses to escape the ravages of wind." Hawk would nod as he thought for a moment before speaking out."It's body dwindles away with high winds huh?" Hawk would smile as he pocketed his Pokedex and called out to Sky."Sky! Use Gust! Let's see if Gastly will be able to dodge this attack." Hawk would smile, the Gastly take back by the surprise attack would dash quickly at Sky right before Sky heard the command and flapped his wings quickly while hovering in place creating large blasts of air that smashed into the oncoming Gastly and throwing it down and back to the ground.

Gastly would attempt to rise off the ground having trouble, the wind had separated some of it's gaseous body revealing it to be much smaller than first intended." I wanna catch this Gastly!" He would pull out a Pokeball as he reared back arching his arm, but before he could attempt the pitch, Gastly would quickly even itself out before speeding off in the distance disappearing into the night." Darn!" Hawk would exclaim before shoving the ball back into his bag."Maybe another time..." He sighed before peering down at the girl."Good evening, it's a pleasure to meet you, I'm Hawk." Sky would soar through the air and land upon his shoulder before fixating and stare blankly at the woman." And this is Sky, I hope you weren't trying to catch it, I do apologize."

Hawk was rather tall for his age even at 18, he stood a solid six feet and had a broad stature with a tanner complexity. His hair was a solid white and the oculars were a deep crimson but his features were soft rather slightly intimidating but at the same time they weren't to the right person."Do you know the route to get to Saffron city?" He would ask her before walking around her and glancing around at the scenery. Hawk wore an ebony coat with a hood that dangled just to his waist line and dark azure jeans with thick hiker boots, he was prepared for constant moving for sure.~

The two continued to work together to dodge the Ghastlys attacks, and before long another opponent joined their struggle. As Venonat pranced around attempting to make due with the situation, the Pidgey slammed itself into the unusual Ghastly shoving it away thanks to Venonats previous skill; Foresight. While the Pokemon continued, Namoko struggled to focus to gain more information on the Ghastly. Maybe there was something around it causing it to have so much energy, or a hue or sorts. But all she could gather was static and near blindness. In the background of her sense, she can make out the strange boy talking towards her but she paid no mind as she watch his Pidgey assist her Venonat.
Namoko let out a sigh as she glanced down at the ground towards her side. She could feel her dark burgundy hair tickle the sides of her face where the mask laid fitted. The Ghastly bolted off and she was not about to have it, it just wasn't fair. Her luck was nothing near a notorious fisher. She'd hate to see how she did at a casino. Venonat ran towards her feet hiding behind them as it flicked its antennas towards the boy that approached them, it's big red eyes stared up at them. "...pleasure to meet you, I'm Hawk... I hope you weren't trying to catch it." He said. Before she replied, she took the mask and slowly pulled it away revealing an angered expression that was hard to pull off with clear, azure eyes. They seemed almost caring but not quite, gently but a little rough, they were mysterious and played 'disinterested'.
"I'm Namoko the priest of this Town, and this here is Vee if you find the need to address her." She gave a quick examination of the boy. "I'd tell you to turn around, but since you're here you might as well just hurry and go straight through to you designation if it's Saffron."
The night begun to make it's way before long and the sun was soon, no longer protecting it's town from the shadows. Namoko turned her back on the boy that just assisted them putting her mask back onto her belt. Attempting to head back to town, Venonant tugged on her pant leg nearly tripping her, thus turning around and pouting into Venonats irresistible cute face. "You son of a Butterfree." Venonat made sort of a giggling, hissing mixture of a sound to mock Namoko happily, then pointed at the boy and his Pidgey. She closed her eyes and sighed before opening them again, looking back up at the boy and straightening her posture. "Fine we'll return the favor, or lack of..." She mumbled.
"Listen, you're in Lavender Town and Saffron is not too far away. However, if you know anything about this town you should of stayed away in the first place. You clearly don't. So let me tell you, it's about to get very dangerous right now as the night comes closer. You can stay with us for the night, and leave first thing in the morning and do not come back." Namoko shrugged and kept a stern gaze on the boy, before gesturing him to follow them back.

~After the demented battle with the Gastly, he approached her, waiting for her response. When she began to detach her mask from her features, he noticed the expression was freezing as ice to the eye, but the alluring cobalt eyes drove away the glze like feeling his body shuttered over. Her hazel threaded mane dragged perfectly over her well rounded proportioned frame, she was several inches smaller than him, he had to look down at her."Wow...Quite beautiful.." He mumbled before clearing his throat, feeling somewhat embarrassed that he spouted such words in the presence of the first attractive girl since he left Vermillion city, but her tone of voice, which was near angelic, was awkwardly appealing.

He cleared his throat a second time."Namoko, that does sound priestess-like. Do forgive me for intruding, I assume you were attempting an exorcism of some sorts...It seemed to be somewhat out of control, thought I'd help." He looked away, his arm floated up to the back of his head, scratching it in an attempt to rid the mortification that fell upon him time and time again within the last few moments of his approach. In an endeavor to move from the topic, his eyes darted down to her Venonat."Vee is it?" He would kneel down and smile as he brought Pidgey closer."This is Sky, lets be friends eh?" He smiled, Sky narrowed it's eyes as it peered directly into the ruby like oculars of Vee. "Sky it's alright, I do believe they're somewhat friendly..." He cleared his throat quietly yet a third time as he glanced up at Namoko.

After her little introduction, he remained calm and watched as she began to walk off before turning back around and staring at him. This seemed to be getting close to falling out of hand he felt."That would be great, thank you." He would then begin following her back to Lavender town, listening closely to her words, he understood but it only made him that much more interested."It's going to get dangerous eh?" He smirked."I would like to investigate, obviously something is going on here, maybe you need some help? Saffron can wait, it isn't far from here anyway, plus I'm training up, I may need a few more friends to add to my team before getting to Saffron anyway, this could be a good experience." He said offering his hand in assistance."You seem to be the type to work alone, but if there's more Gastly similar to the one we just encountered, I think it be best to bring along back up, and I'm just your man." He pounded his fast to his chest as he watched over her.

As they made their walk back into the town he would cast his gaze around, picking up the scenery and studying it closely, it wasn't much but the tower that toppled over everything was the sight to be seen."That building...What is it and why is it so tall?" He asked Namoko as he came to a halt and turning his body to face the spire."I find it more difficult to breath the closer I get to this tower..."The steeple seem to give off a very dark aura, not what he expected, but he felt the need to explore it and endure it's mysteries.~

Walking like she was on a mission, she ignored every ounce of speech that came out of that boys mouth. This wasn't a stroll in the park, the town is in a dark time and the night was soon on it's way with each minuet that passed. Venonat would start skipping in attempt to keep up with Namoko who was power walking home. Thoughts raced in her head constantly, about the things happening in the town, the boy who is now apparently staying the night with them, and the future. At this rate she will never be able to solve her own mystery and accomplish the world's given goal. As these thoughts raced in her head, something broke the distraction and caused her to stop and look back. Watching him stare at the tower, Venonat would become restless afraid of the night, at least when she was outside. Venonat never left Namoko's side, but would struggle to remain calm.
"The Tower of Lavender, it's the tower where the dead come to rest. It's so populated with restless spirits, it made the air thick. Other priest begun staying there to help purify the air again, but once they go in, they never come out. Not like they're in any real danger. They're just determined I suppose. I rarely ever go in there anymore unless the town seeks my aid there." She seemed disinterested in the tower, and bothered by the topic. "Now hurry up will you?"
Namoko and Venonat darted off heading to their home which was decorated with a garden that seemed lively considering the towns current state. Upon reaching the door, dark blue vines reach out from the soil of their garden and wrapped around Venonat. Namoko looked down on the situation casually and just smiled, before unlocking the door heading in. Unusual noises that almost could signify as giggling came from Venonat who was now partially off the ground. The dark vines wiggled around, 'tickling' Venonat before putting it back down. The garden's soil slowly begun to reveal a small shrub looking thing with playful eyes, it was none other than Tangela. The two exchanged their mysterious words as Tangela reverted its attention on Hawk and his pokemon. It's vines begun reaching out towards Hawk wiggling at his sides, laughing while doing so. Venonat stepped in and flailed towards Tangela while pointing to the sky. Tangela seemed disappointed, but nodded as it begun to nuzzle comfortably in the soil. Fully snugged in, it looked nothing more than an unusually colored bush who's vines would wrap around some of the plants.
Venonat made it's way inside leading the others in while Namoko was already ungeared and prepping the visitor's bed out in the living area. She casually walked into the kitchen and grabbed some seltzer water for the guest, eventually handing it to him.
"Make yourself at home I suppose, and whatever you do, do not leave this house till the sun peeks through the window, for your safety. Not that I could really care I guess."

~Following Namoko was similar to a challenge, she moved with a purpose, or what it seemed, but at the same time she seemed very distant. One thing that seemed a bit off, the personality of her Pokemon and herself, mainly because they don't seem to match properly. Namoko seemed more cold and a very rough person to be around while Vee was similar to a happy, yet full grown child, how did these two manage to last so long in a partnership battling spirits. Hawk would have to speed up his step to stay in pace with her as they made their way through the darkness to her home, when arriving at the door, watching Vee get lifted up off the ground before the light would reveal purple tentacles, squinting his eyes in an odd like fashion, he was unsure of what was connected to the other end of these vine like arms. His eyes would follow the tendrils to it's location as a Pokemon would reveal itself from the darkness, quickly flipping out his Pokedex he would hold it toward the creature. "Tangela, a Grass type Pokemon. Tangela's vines snap off easily if they are grabbed. This happens without pain, allowing it to make a quick getaway. The lost vines are replaced by newly grown vines the very next day." He rubbed his chin as he slipped the Pokedex back into his pocket." I always wondered where that voice comes from and who's voice it was to begin with." He shrugged before smiling at the new creature, introducing himself." Hello there Tangela, I'm Hawk, this is Sky." Tangela would bring it's 'limbs' towards Pidgey as if it was to be greeted, Sky unsure of how to respond started to back away but Vee would stop the Tangela, unknowing of the reasoning, but the Tangela would give a disappointing sound before returning to it's original state in the ground nearly hiding in plain sight, Hawk would sigh before heading inside.

"So, living in such a dark corner of the entire region and yet, capable of showing such a cheerful little plot of land, you tend to your home very nicely it seems, unlike the other residents of Lavender" He would smirk as he scanned the home thoroughly." I thought you only had one Pokemon too, very nice. Does it stay here most of the day or?" He wondered, curiosity would never be a good thing, especially with this woman as she seemed to be quite uninterested in even looking at anybody but herself and her Pokemon.

He would pay close attention to her as she made out a bed of some sorts in her living quarters, then handing him some sort of water, taking it kindly and gesturing gratitude, he would take a sip and cringe a bit before drinking further and setting it to the side." Thank you...So are you not going out there? Tonight seems to be very gloomy and mysterious, unlike other nights?" He would look over at her." I can help you if you'd like, plus I'm quite interested in that tower if our destination leads to there." Hawk strutted over to the window in her home and leaned against the wall peering out, she had a very easy view of the tower, rather it was so close to her home to begin with, what was inside there that was causing this place to have such an uproar.~

"I enjoy a peaceful home that I can come home to and relax. As for my garden, it's something I enjoy to do. Guess other Pokemon seem to enjoy it as well as you can see from Tangela. Just started to stay there one day. I suspect it came from one of the road up ahead because I don't recall someone having a Tangela in town. So to answer your questions; It is not my Pokemon, and yes it stays here most of the day. As far as I know." After explaining some things around the home, she began to sit on one of the cushions that decorated the floor. It had a swirling pattern mixed with a similar color to Venonats fur, and a calm black. Venonat followed her as it nearly begged to be held which Namoko did not seem to mind. Taking a small leap, Venonat got comfortable and laid on its back as it would stare up at her.
Glancing up at the window from afar where Hawk stood, she was still able to see the tower as it's image would never disappear. She could be behind closed doors with no outside view and the tower would still be clear as day. Namoko shifted glances to focus more on Hawk; "You ask way too many questions..." Namoko could feel Venonat's body feel a little heavier as it begun to let itself feel more at ease. Still caring the same disinterested look as the moment Hawk met her, she would gently run her hand down Venonat's body and give small scratches on top of it's head occasionally. With a soft sigh; "The source of this towns pain will not leave as it haunts this place, so if I am unable to accomplish it tonight; there will be tomorrow."
