An insight to the three different elven species in my project


Shadow Elves:
Shadow Elves are the native elven folk to the underground and cavern systems of the red planet ares. They are often depicted with purple-ish skin with blood red eyes covering the entire eye (That means no iris or pupil). Whenever a catastrophe is about to occur, shadow elves will often bleed from their eyes, causing them to become blind for a few minutes, their vision only comes back when the blood has seeped back into their skin. Their hair is always black in color and shadow elves stop aging when they reach the age of 25, however, this does not make them immortal, it just means that the only way they can die is from a physical injury.
Shadow elves are also immune to all forms of disease and poisons but their blood can be highly toxic to other species.
The max height for a Shadow elf is 6 Feet. They do not often have a muscular build, but they can become extremely fast at will. Shadow elves are not often associated with magics, but only a select few every 10,000 years are able to wield magic of some degree.
Shadow elves are a carnivorous species, so its not strange to see them eating nothing but meat everyday and not gaining weight from it.

Wood Elves:
Wood Elves are the forest folk of Ares. They are depicted having shades of red to wood colored skin with pitch black to dark orange eyes, their hair is made entirely of either wooden strands or literally a bush of leaves growing from their scalp. Wood Elves are talented in all types of forest magic including Water and Nature (Plant) magics. Wood elves stop aging at the age of 20 so that they would still be able to blend in with plant-life and the forests. They have exceptional eyesight, being rumored to be able to see miles from where they are.
Just like the Shadow Elves, Wood Elves do not have muscular builds, but that does not mean they do not have immense physical strength and speed.
Males have the benefit of plant magic from birth to Help life on their world later on continue to stay alive and thriving whereas females are naturally born with water magic to help keep the plants and trees of the forests alive.
Wood elves are passive people and they will not often fight, defile the woods however and they will become aggressive.
It is forbidden for a wood elf to fall in love with another elven species, for the dangers of a hybrid could disrupt the peaceful balance that these races share in their world.
Wood elves are Omnivores, but are most often seen eating more vegetable like foods than they are eating meat related foods.
