personality: Opal was raised to be a star and as far as she and her parents are concerned she’s achieved that. On the surface and in the public eye she is seen as a charismatic, innocent, talented actress coming into her prime. But for those who know her and most who work in the industry, they can attest that the pinnacle of good and just act is all a facade. Opal at her worst can be cold,selfish, entitled, and calculating, especially to those she disagrees with or deems a threat. She is no stranger to using other people and usually has no problem persuading others to see her point of view.
At her best she manages to tame these qualities so they don’t overpower the good ones she has, up until this point in her life it appears she has been at her best. In reality she stresses over the smallest things and has to find perfection in everything she does, a lot of this is down to her overly involved mother and absent father who she is constantly trying to impress or even be acknowledged by. “I’d say Felicity and I were…. acquaintances yeah. I mean it’s not like I knew her super well but we definitely had mutual friends so we ended up at a lot of parties together. We’d only spoken like a handful of times but she seemed sweet, I saw a lot about her in the tabloids but she didn’t seem incredibly controversial or out there to me”
Why were you at that party?
“I went with a group of friends, it seemed to be a kind of last minute thing, I wasn’t even planning on going out but they convinced me. It got kinda crazy but I’m not into all that so we left like just after midnight”

pre fame: Opal has never known a life out of the spotlight. Ever since her literal birth she’s found that wherever she goes people are watching, which flattered her in the beginning until she realized many of them were just waiting for the moment they could profit off of her slip ups which lead to much anxiety around her fame. But no child of her mother’s would ever be afraid of being the centre of attention, in fact she was taught that her one goal in life should be to strive for excellence and notoriety. Her mother, famous actress Hilary Angelo, rose to stardom at a young age and made sure her only child did the same. From the time she could talk Opal was in acting classes and on the sets of her father’s latest directorial project. She remembers loving everything back then, all the lights and make up and funny costumes but once she was old enough to be standing on the other end of the camera her attitude changed. She worked with her father on many projects which just served to strain their relationship, it seems she inherited the perfectionist genes from both her parents as she could never reach to his standards.
This didn’t stop her from being recognized for her talent by the media or acting guilds but she could never seem to be noticed by the ones she wanted it from most. She grew up between LA and Upstate New York where many nannies and childminders went in and out of her life but too quickly to ever truly make a connection. She spent most of her time with her mother who managed to instill both a feeling of superiority and also low self esteem in her. Opal always found comfort in her writing, she filled stacks and stacks of notebooks and copies with her ideas but always ended up throwing them out or tearing the pages into shreds, fearing her work was not good enough for anyone but her to enjoy.
post fame: Throughout her teenage years she kept her clean reputation by keeping all of the trouble she caused out of the public eye. Any of her drunken joyrides or drug fueled shenanigans were kept behind closed doors or out of the press with large chunks of cash. Opal found she matured quickly, being surrounded by adults most of her life she had little time for things she deemed childish which included many of the people her age. Now at only twenty Opal feels she’s beginning to experience a burn out of epic proportions, working her whole life with an absence of the space or time to be something other than a star has created enough pent up stress,anxiety and anger that is starting to overflow. This has led to a tendency to drink and smoke little more than usual to drown out these negative emotions.
Truly what Opal wants is a break from all of the chaos she’s had to deal with her whole life, all she wants is to spend some time alone away from her parents, peers and friends so she can figure out who she is but after recently signing a contract for a 3 movie deal she doubts that will be happening anytime soon.
