Heyyo. For those who can't read my name, I'm Katabasis, or just "Kat." I've gone by many names across the internet, all grand and terrible, but I'm undergoing a rebranding effort. (If you've heard the name Rinne before, that's me.)


So I'm not exactly a newbie to RPing - I first got started in, oh god, 6-7th grade? Seeing as I'm a last-year university student, that's 10 or so years ago. Actually moderated a smaller community RPing forum for a number of those years, which was where I picked up many of my skills. Things have dwindled off recently, though - either due to drama or just lack of interest/engagement. I'm hoping starting somewhere new and somewhere fresh will help get me going.


But yeah, enough about that. As previously mentioned, I'm 22, he/him/his pronouns, and a last-year university student in Boston, studying economics and international affairs. My primary interests outside of roleplaying are MtG, Welcome to Night Vale, and LGBTQ advocacy. You may see these themes pop up into whatever I join and the characters I write.


Aaaand I think that's it. Hoping to get the ball rolling soon enough!

Welcome aboard.Keep posting here till you reach 10 posts/content(Read up carefully to know what's credited as a content).
Then you unlock more basic features and PMing and what not.
250 and you can host projects. So maybe 20 days if you're active?


500 and you can use the HTML to fancy up your RP's.


Check out the tutorials for site usage.


I think that covers it. Mostly good people here and I've only been here about a month.

Chinese! Mandarin, to be specific. I speak Mandarin and French outside of my native English, and a little bit of Japanese.

Good to know. I assume these benchmarks and guidelines are outlined somewhere: if so, do you have a link? Anyhow, thanks for the update, and I'll be sure to keep abreast of it all. ;)

On another note, welcome to RPN! It's nice to see another rp veteran out there. What kind of rp genres do you like? Maybe I'll see you around the forums.

If you have a Mac, there's a native way to do it. Look here. Can't speak for another OS, unfortunately.


And thanks, I'm hoping to get RPing too! My interests range the gamut based on what's currently captured my attention. In the past, I've hosted RPs like:

  • Space spaghetti western, sorta like an original-flavor Firefly on a desert world. Was following a bunch of treasure-hunting vandals lead by a military deserter.
  • A "trapped in an online game" plot with some horror bends and vague Arabian Nights windowdressing.
  • Superheroes in the Cold War. That one didn't get off the ground, but idk how many people are familiar enough with the Cold War to attempt RPing in it.

My most recent idea that I'm trying to develop follows members of a team of a fictional sport (something between FFX's blitzball and Air Gear, if those ring a bell), in a slightly-fantastic variant of the United States. Really focused on character interactions and development, laidback plotting, etc.


So yeah, you can see my interests are all over the place. I'm more into original roleplays than fandom, because they're so much more fun to explore and develop. Worldbuilding's my catnip.


Hoping to get something together soon!
