Nation Building 2028 A World of Strife (Modern)

If Poland and Romania join the Axis, Balkans, you're fucked because you'll be completely surrounded by land.
The Romanians know that if they were to join the Axis that would sour relations between us. It has already been proven they wish to maintain good relations.

Well I thought everyone would have the common sense NOT to put their covert ops into public chat and the basic intelligence to pm mods.
Why do I feel like this is a ploy to take advantage of information that you should not have?

It makes absolutely no difference where you put your covert ops if everyone can stick to the rules and not meta. If anything, I'm putting the op up for review by the whole RP so they could all call bullshit if something is amiss.

Why do I feel like you are only fighting against me because you are one of the people who made this mistake?

There are no rules on this topic, so I am going off of the ones set up by the RPing community elsewhere, which state that anything in your turn is fair game. "Putting it up for review"? Seriously? You expect me to believe that? You sir must take me for an idiot. We have two mods. PM it to them both and if they say OK then there is no reason for it to be reviewed by the players. Players can call BS when they find out that it was you, because in all the RPS like this I have been in, I know it almost NEVER stays secret who did it forever.

Your argument is ridiculous. Turkey did the exact same thing in their turn and you said nothing. I expect the mods agree with me. It is common etiquette in RPing that you may only know what your characters may realistically know. Anyone with half a brain can tell it was a covert op. If the mods say that Balkan counterintelligence intercepted them, then that's within the rules for them to know.

Perhaps you don't recognize just how different this is from other RPS... It is far more like a turn based strategy game then a RP. In a turn based strategy game, if you read anything on the screen posted by another player, it is your right to use it to your advantage.

I also am only saying this now because this turn with so many nations having done it you all have quite honestly gained my sympathy and pity.

I don't see why you can't just accept it was a covert op and move on. We don't all have to please you by playing the way you do.

Oh, not to mention that my post was directed towards EVERYONE, not you. Yet, you appear to be taking it like you were the sole target.

My honest goal in this attempt is to firmly lay the foundation of is it or is it not public. I have taken it upon myself to set a precedent for this issue.

Let me explain , the thing is everyone has to send any secret or covert operations directed towards other countries to the Mod's if it some kind of secret research it's quite alright to post it and rely on scouts honor.

Nobody made that very clear.

Kebab, I point you to my counter when France said the same thing.

Elusive, I do agree, researches, unless you really want to keep it secret, can be public, but ops for sure should be pmed.

In the future, I'll direct ops to the mods but the current op should not be public knowledge as it was very clear it was meant to be covert.

This is ridiculous. Nowhere did it state that a covert op is public knowledge, and Vader was being pretty aggressive towards Shireling in an attempt to make his point. Standards of a DIFFERENT RP community, are not the standards of this one.

Whilst I have no problem with Pm-ing an Op to the mods (if this is indeed the rule) I do not like the fact that we can't just play fair - and like Shireling said - NOT Metagame.

Covert Ops being knowledgeable to other RP members makes for interest OOC chat, but not knowing who's behind it is one thing; but with this ridiculous 'PM' only rule it's almost impossible to defend against covert operations.

That's exactly why they are called covert ops , In a real world situation I don't think you're going to ask people permission to send spies into a country now will ya. Pls excuse the tone
