I'll be Frank (pun intended). The aim of the French is renewed global superpowerdom. If Britain is reduced militarily, that's one less power to have to deal with. I broke up Spain to have a buffer of friendly countries on my southern border and weaken Spain so I can eventually install a new regime. I could have allied with Britain at the start and become aggressive towards Germany, but they are a more advantageous ally than the British because I don't have the English Chanel as a buffer like I do with Britain. So, in the end, statecraft my friend.

I'm tired of saying this; I am not conquering Ireland, the occupation is to prevent terror attacks, attacks which will increase should I withdraw. I cannot stress this enough. Like I said IC, withdrawing would essentially make the IRA 'safe'. This isn't an act of aggression, it's an act of defense, but nobody listens to this, and it's frustrating. It doesn't help that I am from England, meaning I'm obviously going to be more passionate about playing my own homeland.

I understand you completly but the problem is not that your wrong its that France and the US want to take you down and are using this as an excuse. The action to invade was not the best course of action as it allowed them to paint you as a tyrant and a conqueror it doesn't matter if its true its as Shireling says "Statecraft". Nothing is fair in the politics ask Poland.

To be fair, it seems flukey. DaManOfWar declared war because he didn't even realize the IRA was a thing, maybe he wouldn't have if he understood the situation. Shireling is just leeching onto the events. But 'Statecraft' or not, I'm the target. Of course I'm not enjoying being the target.

Honestly, I wouldn't have done any overt military action if the US hadn't wardec'd you. I saw it and was like "Oh shit. It got real." And just went to DEFCON 2.

I only want the Rp to be successful and fun for everyone but things happen nations fall and it is almost always in some way related to the player. They warned you, France warned you. Please do not get upset about it but we can't go back and start over.
