No, dice rolls have not be done because I need to have a discussion on what exactly they want the dice rolls for.


And if there will be modifiers to stats, I need to know what they will be and what the ranges will be. I am only here to assist. I can't build a mechanic without proper information.

I tried to do two, forgot to do modifiers on one (it was a natural 20 anyway) and honestly don't know how good it seems

Well let's step back a few paces.


1. What are the dice rolls going to be for? What do you guys want them for?


I believe I had mentioned that they would help alleviate meta-gaming so no one player is overpowering another without a reason or a cause. I had mentioned that if a nation tried to take over another (or make treaty agreement, etc, any action that would cause a big change in condition) you could roll for success and failure.


This means you pick a #-sided dice, and state the range of what would be a success and what would be a failure.


So say you are trying to make a treaty with a country. You roll a d10 (10-sided dice), knowing that the country in question is a neutral. So you have to only roll 1-5 to succeed, but if you roll a 6-10, you fail.


Depending on the country, and the nation you're playing, the type of dice and influence on the number may change.
